I was wrong!<\/p>\n<h2>Nobody told me (or I didn\u2019t realise) that:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u00a0Once the wedding date was set nobody asked me how I was anymore. It was more of \u201cWon\u2019t be long now \u2018till the big day?\u201d, or \u201cHow are the wedding plans going?\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u00a0I would be able to name off dozens of wedding dress designers and where their dresses were stocked in Ireland. A talent I think!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">I would become obsessed with the state of my skin, drinking water, getting fresh air, exercise, sleeping properly etc etc!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Every conversation would end up as a \u201cwedding conversation\u201d, whether it was with my husband-to-be, my parents, my friends, even the postman.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">I would be able to tell you how many weeks there were between April 27th and September 27th (our wedding day)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">People have opinions on everything when it comes to weddings! Everything!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">You can\u2019t control the weather. For a while leading up to the wedding I did lie in bed at night thinking there had to be some way of making sure the sun shone for our wedding day. There just had to be. I was wrong.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">I would have very strange wedding dreams for a few weeks leading up to the wedding! All sorts of crazy things were going on in my dreams\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026 that I won\u2019t go into right now.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">The items I had no intention of spending a fortune on were indeed the items I spent a fortune on!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">I planned the wedding as if it was \u201cmy\u201d wedding, not \u201cour\u201d wedding. I would like to add that my husband-to-be didn\u2019t mind.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">What lots of people did tell me was that:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">It would be the happiest day of my life (it was!)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">The day would absolutely fly (it did!)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">It is an exhausting day so have a good breakfast (it was\u2026.
