Alisa and Phil got married on July 5th, 2014. \u00a0This beautiful wedding took place in Kippure Estate, Co. Wicklow<\/a> and it was planned all the way from Canada! The big day was captured by the wonderful Ashley Notley<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

“We planned the wedding from Canada, so we actually chose Kippure from \u00a0having seen it online only!\u00a0 We had Phil\u2019s mother and sister go have a look at the venue in person before we confirmed, but we just had a good feeling about it from the start.\u00a0 We loved that the landscape around Kippure was wild and rugged rather than too manicured.\u00a0 We also wanted a place where all our guests could stay on the grounds themselves and not have to worry about getting home or to their hotels.”<\/div>\n

“At Kippure the whole atmosphere is very warm, relaxed and rustic.\u00a0 The Wedding team and whole staff are fantastic and really let you personalize the wedding as much as you\u2019d like.\u00a0 They will do as much or as little as you\u2019d like them to, so you really can put your personal touch on the wedding while not having to worry about every little detail.\u00a0 The prices are very reasonable too.”<\/div>\n

“Because so many of our guests were coming from Canada we wanted to give \u00a0them a year\u2019s notice, so we started planning a year and a half in advance.\u00a0 We enjoyed the planning although planning from a different continent has its challenges!”<\/p>\n

“The wedding menu from Kippure was amazing!\u00a0 The wedding night itself had a fairly traditional menu, but the night before we had an Indian night to celebrate Alisa\u2019s father\u2019s family\u2019s culture.\u00a0 Kippure was able to use some of the family recipes to put on a delicious Indian spread!”<\/p>\n

“The Indian theme went loosely throughout the wedding.\u00a0 Of course for the Indian night we had Indian food, clothes and music, but even on the wedding day we \u00a0had pink, turquoise and gold as our accent colours, and little elephants and paisley patterns on the table name cards and place tags.”<\/p>\n

“The pictures were gorgeous!\u00a0 Our photographer (who is also my cousin!) did an amazing job capturing the beautiful scenery around Kippure Estate.\u00a0 I have so many favourite photos, but a couple that stand out to me \u00a0are the one of the wedding party where the guys are holding the bouquets in front of their faces , and the one of Phil and I on the bridge in black and white with the beautiful tree branches in the foreground.\u00a0 I also like the ones of Phil and I in front of the old stone wall.”<\/p>\n

“I found my dress over a year before the wedding!\u00a0 It was from a shop near my mom\u2019s house in Ottawa that I had always loved, and it was on sale.\u00a0 It\u2019s by Enzoani and was simple but fit me well.\u00a0 I had the train removed so I wouldn\u2019t have to worry about it getting grass stained or about stepping on it on the dance floor!”<\/p>\n

“The best part of our wedding day was just being in the same room with all our friends and family. \u00a0\u00a0As we are from different countries and have friends all over the world it was really a once in a lifetime opportunity to have so many of the people we love in one room.”<\/p>\n

“I couldn’t pick just one part to\u00a0relive, it was all amazing!”<\/p>\n
