Winter Weddings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Winter Weddings are becoming more and more popular, as evidenced by the Engagement Survey we did earlier this year. \u00a030% of brides and grooms are now tying the knot during the cold winter months. \u00a0With the nights getting darker, it got me thinking about winter weddings and where would be the perfect wedding venue for a winter celebration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3187\" src=\"https:\/\/weddingdates-wp-ie.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/2010\/11\/Mount-Falcon-Winter-Wedding.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"414\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For a winter wedding, I&#8217;m thinking rustic old buildings, log fires, mulled wine, fireworks in the evening. \u00a0The added bonus with a winter wedding is you aren&#8217;t going to be hung up on planning your day around a beautiful summers day (we all know we don&#8217;t get that many of them in Ireland!) so you will be able to relax a bit more and go with whatever Mother Nature throws at you on the day.<\/p>\n<p>Some of my favourite Wedding Venues for a Winter wedding include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weddingdates.ie\/venues\/dromoland-castle-estate-newmarket-on-fergus-clare-5star-71206\/\">Dromoland Castle<\/a> in Clare has dramatic high vaulted ceilings &amp; looks spectacular lit up at night.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weddingdates.ie\/venues\/lisloughrey-lodge-cong-mayo-4star-76699\/\">Lisloughrey lodge<\/a> in Mayo is a\u00a0quaint Lodge house, with funky dark decor.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weddingdates.ie\/venues\/ghan-house-carlingford-louth-0star-64252\/\">Ghan House<\/a> in Cavan&#8230; think\u00a0\u00a0roaring fire, and views of the lake.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weddingdates.ie\/venues\/mount-falcon-ballina-mayo-4star-71473\/\">Mount Falcon<\/a> (pictured above) is set in beautiful grounds in Ballina, Co.
