{"id":923,"date":"2009-08-05T12:58:49","date_gmt":"2009-08-05T11:58:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.weddingdates.ie\/blog\/?p=923"},"modified":"2024-04-29T17:57:20","modified_gmt":"2024-04-29T16:57:20","slug":"hats-off-to-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weddingdates.ie\/blog\/hats-off-to-you\/","title":{"rendered":"Hats Off To You!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m always looking for quirky ways to get out there and promote <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weddingdates.ie\">weddingdates.ie<\/a> and get the brand out there to a larger audience. \u00a0So, with the biggest race meeting in Ireland coming up attracting tens of thousands of visitors and fabulously dressed ladies sporting even more fantastic hats, I thought &#8211; what the hell, I HAVE to give this a shot!<\/p>\n<p>No regular old hat would do me &#8211; I wanted something with a bit of pizazz, something that would stand out from the crowd and really scream wedding. \u00a0And so we set about the task of making my hat&#8230;.. \u00a0The night before the <strong>Galway Races<\/strong>! \u00a0Surprisingly, it turned out brilliantly, and with the help of industrial glue\/cement &#8211; it managed to stay up and on my head for the whole day.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_924\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/weddingdates-wp-ie.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/2009\/08\/img_1601.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-924\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-924 \" src=\"https:\/\/weddingdates-wp-ie.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/2009\/08\/img_1601-600x450.jpg\" alt=\"WeddingDates.ie Team and the wedding cake hat!\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-924\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">WeddingDates.ie Team and the wedding cake hat!<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Wedding Hats\/Fascinator<\/strong>s are back in vogue and in my opinion are a little under-rated&#8230;I love hats! \u00a0Check out these links for some ideas for hats for weddings and Irish suppliers where you can locate them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dublin-based Hat Shop Mad Hatter Hat<\/li>\n<li>Shop for second-hand hats on <a href=\"http:\/\/shop.ebay.ie\/?_from=R40&amp;_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&amp;_nkw=wedding+hats\">eBay<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Selection of Fascinators &amp; Hats that won&#8217;t break the bank in Debenhams<\/li>\n<li>Irish Milliner, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kathleenmcauliffe.com\/kathleenmcauliffe-hats-rainhat-summerhat-occassion-hats.html\">Kathleen McAuliffe<\/a> designs hats and also stocks Philip Treacy Hats in her Dingle Store.<\/li>\n<li>Milliner in Mayo, <a href=\"https:\/\/linasteinmillinery.com\/\">Lisa Stein<\/a> has some really funky and unusual creations<\/li>\n<li>Couture Millinary and Bespoke pieces from Kilkenny-based Linda McKay<\/li>\n<li>Creative?
