Our wedding day was absolutely amazing the sun was shining which allowed us to get pictures outside with the amazing back drop of the Abbey. The food on the day was amazing everyone commented on the food so thank you chef. Lisa the wedding co -ordinator was brilliant helped us work through any issues we were having and thanks to her our day went off without any trouble.

Would 100% recommend the abbey to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

The Abbey, and particularly Lisa and Adrian Grealy couldn't have done enough for us. It really felt like home to us the weekend of our wedding, and every single thing was impeccable, from the food to the staff to the rooms to the weather!

Every single guest commented on how wonderful the food …

was and how friendly and helpful the staff are. From our initial meeting with Lisa we knew we were in safe hands, nothing was an issue or concern she promised she would make it happen and make our day special. Lisa & the abbey certainly delivered.

We had great piece of mind in the run up to the wedding knowing we could trust Lisa & Adrian and helped us be at complete ease on the day. The Abbey have the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, which allowed us and our guests to relax and enjoy the day while being completely looked after every second.

Our wedding meal was outstanding, all our guests commented on how excellent the service and food was on the day. The meal was served in a timely manner, food was served hot and the dishes were simply delicious. Ciara, Edmund, Stuart, Jack are just a few names that stood out to Adrian and I who really cared for our guests and delivered excellent service behind the bar and during the meal.

The entire Team at the Abbey were helpful, friendly and professional, we honestly felt like we were leaving friends. We cant thank Lisa and the Team enough for delivering our perfect special day and making it completely stress free, we enjoyed every second.

From the 12th April 2021 when we first met Lisa we were delighted with our decision to pick the Abbey for our wedding reception. Our little girl was only a couple of months & she was with us. She kicked up a bit of a fuss but Lisa didn’t mind that.

Each time we called in she was with us and …

was always treated with biscuits & a drink. Every staff member we dealt with throughout our time organizing were all so genuine & helpful. So easy & hassle free, anything we needed or had an issue with just an email & everything would be sorted.

The 20th May ‘23 the day of our wedding we got a lovely welcome as did all our guest with plenty of refreshments for everyone. We were lead into the function room and everything was set up to perfection for us. We had left in pictures and different bits to be set up, nothing was forgotten. The function room was set up so beautifully.

The meal was absolutely top class. Our guests are still telling us how good it was and plenty of it. The service team were excellent from start to finish. We can’t thank everyone in The Abbey enough for making one of the most important & joyous days of our lives one to always remember.

The best day was had.

Highly recommend this hotel for weddings. The best around.

We had a lot of props that required a lot of set up on the day and Geraldine and her staff listened carefully to what we wanted and set up and displayed everything exactly as we wished. The food was incredible! All of our guests raved about the meal. The groom himself is ceoliac and the Abbey made sure that he missed out on nothing. Canepes and evening finger food was specifically prepared for him and our other guests with dietry requirements.

The function room looked beautiful for our day. Lisa placed all our personal touches perfectly around the room and even if our guests didn't notice, we certainly did.

The week before the wedding Geraldine and Lisa were on the phone for any queries I had. They even designed a separate menu for my aunt (she has special dietary requirements)- the day before the wedding. The day of the wedding was completely flawless and that is thanks to everyone in the Abbey. The food, service and drink was out of this world. We didn't have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding thanks to everyone in the hotel. Even the morning after the wedding, Tom (the owner) went and carried down my uncles breakfast, (my unlce is in his 70's), got him the paper and sat beside him discussing the weather. The best decision we ever made was to have our wedding in the Abbey. I am proud to say I am an Abbey Bride. I wholeheartedly recommend the Abbey Hotel for ANY award it has been nominated for.

All of my guests from abroad as well as local, loved the venue. It has such character and we got some truly amazing photographs with beautiful scenery and backdrops.

The food was top quality and remarked on by lots of guests and the order of events went very smoothly. It was all so well organised that we could relax and enjoy the day with zero stress. The package was very reasonably priced in comparison to some other hotels.

We were 100% happy with our choice of venue and would highly recommend it to any future brides and grooms.

Everything was perfect in every way. The Abbey Hotel in Roscommon couldn't have done enough for us. The food was excellent. People are still talking about the outstanding meal 3 weeks later. The service was as good as the meal. The staff are lovely. I can without hesitation recommend this venue.
