is nothing I can fault. The attenrion to detail was top class. Vinnie even sent me a picture of our crisp wall before we arrived as i was dying to see it all set up. The pre dinner reception was amazing. Everything looked perfect. The meal was above 5*(as it always is) . The honeymoon suite was beautiful with fab personalised gifts. There was a very big event the same weekend as our wedding based at the hotel,and you honestly wouldn't have known. It did not take from our day in any way.

It was our 5th family wedding here so we knew we wanted Vinny as our wedding coordinator and The Castlecourt as our wedding venue. As the saying goes- "You cannot beat the Castlecourt for a wedding!!"

We had our meal tastings in June. The food was delicious, we had so much food to eat. Whatever we wanted to taste, we got the full dish of it, so I would recommend to bring family or friends with you for this as The Castlecourt Hotel are very generous. The venue itself was fabulousy decorated, we had nothing to worry about and didn't need to buy any extras. We had nibbles at reception, which were devoured along with prosecco, bottles of beer and a keg of Guinness, which of course everyone loved. The dinner was amazing from start to finish. We opted for the potted salmon and vol au vants for starters, followed by veg soup and sirloin of beef, turkey and ham, hake and veggie curry for the mains as well as apple pie and toblerone cheesecake for dessert. Would highly recommend the toblerone cheesecake! Yum!! Everyone was offered a second round of mains, which we were delighted with as everyone was well catered for. We also had more finger food around 11pm and bacon butties & chips at 2.30/3a.m., which went down a treat!!

I could not recommend Vinny and The Castlecourt Hotel enough! You will not regret having your wedding venue here. We had the most amazing day from start to finish, everything ran so smoothly!

We had a lot of guests travelling from abroad, many of whom stayed at Castlecourt for three nights. All guests only had great things to say- rooms are lovely, excellent facilities, and all staff wonderful.

We had a welcome drinks function the night before, and a barbeque the next day- both of these events were so well prepared and catered for, and great fun was had by all- we have Castlecourt to thank for this.

The Castlecourt Hotel and all staff were absolutely superb on our Wedding Day and exceeded all expectations. Everything ran smoothly, together with our guests we had a truly memorable time, we could not recommend them highly enough.

listened to us and very kindly advised us on every aspect of the process and preparation for our big day. He had all of our questions answered before we could ask them. His professionalism and personality relaxed us and gave us the confidence that this gentleman will deliver an amazing day for us, and he did. One gentleman who was setting up the function for another wedding was so helpful when we just went in to have a look at the function room, he told us they could organise a ramp to the top table for us if we wanted. Little things like that from all of the staff ensured we were going to have a great day. The hotel also offered great value for money. The price quoted on our first meeting included everything we wanted and more. There were no hidden extras. Everything was up front and transparent.
Our guests loved the day and raved about the hotel. Some could not get over the food and the selection offered by the hotel, it was lovely to hear the morning after the wedding as we knew that all of our guests enjoyed themselves. The service for the dinner was fast and the table at the back of the function room had their meal within two minutes of the top table and there was no shortage of food! Everything we asked for and some things we didn’t even think of were all looked after without any fuss. The memory box Vincent handed us the morning after the wedding was the cherry on top. It was such a lovely surprise. It was so nice and means so much to us. We never felt like we were just another wedding, we felt like we were their only wedding, and they were giving us 110% all of the time. We cannot recommend the Castlecourt Hotel enough for a wedding. 5 stars in every aspect of what they do.

Communication with Vinny, Liz & Rhona was really easy & always a pleasure. Any queries we had were handled swiftly. They made sure every thing ran like clockwork on the day. Our guests were very impressed with the quality & amount of food. Every person commented on the service from all staff. They all genuinely felt very taken care of. Their attention to detail is impressive. We had a small baby (7 months at the time). She spent most of the reception with the childminder. The staff made sure they knew what table she was at & served her dinner earlier so she could leave when it was time to put the baby to bed. Those little things meant a lot to us & we had not even thought of that. The staff here think of everything.
Don’t forget, it’s a hotel in the middle of a busy coastal town with free parking. Everything is on your doorstep. If you’re staying on for Day two, Westport has so many lovely places & things to see & do.

The cocktails were flowing made by a friendly waiter and our number one memory will be arriving into the Castlecourt courtyard with all our nearest and dearest beaming! reception would be under control. Any time we called, we got a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, willing and eager to help.

On the day of our wedding, everything ran like clockwork, from the moment our guests arrived to the moment the last of them checked out 2 days later. The hotel was set up immaculately, and to this day 5 months later, our guests are still talking about the amazing service they received. Everything about our reception was impeccably delivered by Vinny, Liz and their team, from the wonderful meal, to little details like taking the bridal party bouquets and placing them in water to be handed back on the day we checked out. We didn't need to think about anything on the day only relaxing and spending time with our guests, taking in the atmosphere of the day. Amongst the many highlights for us was the drinks reception on arrival which we were lucky enough to have the weather to celebrate in the courtyard of the hotel, which created an amazing atmosphere for our guests, and set the tone for the rest of the evening.

On the day after the wedding, we availed of the Castlecourt's 'day two' package, which consisted of a barbeque and drinks reception for our guests in an outdoor area of the nearby Plaza hotel. Once again, the attention to detail was second to none from Christy and the team.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Castlecourt to any couple looking for a venue for their big day. Vinny and Liz are complete pros with almost 50 years experience between them and haven't lost any of their enthusiasm to make every couple's day as special as they can. 10/10 from us!

when it comes to planning the big day, and there was absolutely no pressure from anyone on their staff. Vinny and his team were in constant communication through email with us when we had questions. Jean helped us so much with making sure all our out of town guests had rooms accounted for. We had so many people traveling from abroad and they could not believe the amazing hospitality and service that the Castlecourt provided.

I was completely in awe of how smoothly everything ran the day of, the meal especially. We had over two hundred guests and to have the meal come out hot and fresh at the same time for all guests was just perfect. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. our guests (myself included) loved how many times they feed you throughout the night. We danced the night away and had a blast. The most important part was the wedding was totally affordable and fairly priced. It was perfect.

When we were leaving, Anne presented us with a complimentary voucher for a one night stay with dinner in any of their fabulous hotels. This truly was a very thoughtful gesture by the Corcoran family. An added bonus, which was not expected but a wonderful surprise, was the Castlecourt photographer John Mee at the reception who took amazing photos which we received in a gorgeous photo album the morning after the wedding. A lovely touch. The service and food on the day was amazing. Our guests were so complimentary of everything in the hotel. From the initial appointment, the whole team were so helpful, which was so important to us particularly as we live over in the UK. They were always at the end of the phone/email for any queries in the run up to the big day. Whilst guiding you through the process with their ideas, nothing was too much when we asked for certain things to be done slightly differently. They were constantly on hand in the few days before the wedding from helping to organise my wedding favours to assisting with carrying luggage to our rooms. This just completely took the stress out of everything. The hospitality of all the staff in the hotel was exceptional. They made us feel so special for the duration of our stay and so many of our guests commented on how the staff could not do enough for you.

The day itself was just amazing. From the décor in the reception room, the personalised service from the staff and the quality of the food. We could not fault one single thing. The Gin bar at our drinks reception was especially popular with our guests and the photo album we received the next morning filled with pictures of our guests was just such a wonderful touch. It was not until we got engaged and looking at the daunting process of planning a wedding, that we realised we had no idea what we needed to do or where to start. Luckily one of the first things we did was look at The Castlecourt Hotel as a venue, as once we met with Vinny he was able to give us so much advice. He really did take his time, and acted like our personal wedding planner. He was able to give us great tips, ensured we had all supplies, luggage, etc. dropped off to the hotel in advance of the day, provided us with a fantastic mini schedule for the day, recommend suppliers and so much more. The packages offered here are absolutely fantastic as they are so inclusive, and it eliminates so much stress from the day.

The warm welcome we felt every time we visited The Castlecourt, be it for planning, or to enjoy a lunch or on the day itself was second to none. We were made feel like they genuinely wanted us to have such a lovely time. When we did ever have any requests or queries, nothing ever went unanswered and literally nothing was a hassle.

We had a lot of family travelling so there were a large number of people that were around for a full three nights. The staff in every dept. could not do enough for them for their entire stay, and everyone was absolutely delighted (which is hard to do). On the day itself everything went off without a hitch! The service, the food, the drinks, the staff and the facilities were all amazing. We received so many compliments from all of our guests.

You feel like your wedding is the only wedding in the hotel that year! They are so supportive and helpful! We planned our wedding from England and was always welcomed with open arms when we popped in over the two years of planning! We are so glad we choose The Castlecourt Hotel for our venue!
We had family and friends from all over the world come to the wedding and everyone praised the service from the reception staff to the housekeeping staff! They truly saw the Irish charm here!
We had many different dietary requirements across the party which was no problem!
Many of our guests have said our wedding was the best day of there lives, it sure was ours!

The Dome Suite was recently redecorates before our wedding and it is beautiful! They decorate the room to your taste and they have every extra you can think of! You get many extras included in all packages, such as a love swing! Everything we added was cheaper than doing it ourselves! It’s a very personal touch!

exceptional. I will always acknowledge - a wedding isn't plain sailing, there were hiccups along the way but any small issue was dealt with promptly and very much to our satisfaction.
To name but a few memorable points:
1. As the bride I got ready in the hotel the morning of our wedding, the morning was a dream - I felt like a princess, we were allocated a member of staff in a small function room where he waited hand and foot on us as we beautified ourselves, he was just wonderful

2. Food on the day was perfect, we heard no complaints. We went for the top package and the amount of food and drink supplied is still spoken about amongst my family, very worth while.

3. My husband was unfortunately unwell on our big day, the owner of the hotel took the time to tend to us and offer us assistance taking the time to source doctors etc

4. The decorations for Xmas were beautiful, if you're considering a Christmas wedding, it's so worth it

5. Last by no means least, the final touch of class... Our wedding was over. Our bill was paid. Our dealings with the Castlecourt were complete, however, unforeseen circumstances had it that our honeymoon had to be cancelled. I received a call from Vincent - the Corcorans offered us two-night accommodation free of charge for a mini moon as they heard our circumstances... We were given a suite in the Plaza Hotel, next door to the Castlecourt, champagne in the room, dinner in the restaurant... They spoilt us rotten.

There are no words to address this class - exceptional!!! They will continue to be recommended by me on a daily basis.

From our first meeting with Vinny, I knew we had made the right choice as I'm not your typical bride I wanted a hassle-free day that I just had to show up at and it's exactly what I got. Vinny looked after everything and on the day it exceeded our expectations, the room was decorated so beautifully and the food was exceptional honestly to cook for 340 people is no easy task and to get them all a hot meal is even harder but they did it all tasted amazing it was the talk of the night how good every course was. I've been to many weddings in The Castlecourt and I have never seen them fail, they have exceptional staff that make everyone feel like they are at home, no ask is too big. What makes this place so special is the people inside it from management to reception to housekeeping, reservations & the front bar they all made us feel like it was our home for that weekend and Vinny the work that you do day in day out is amazing and you couldn't have done more for us, you made our day. The Castlecourt were so accommodating, we stayed there for the full weekend the staff ensured all our guests were warmly welcomed after their long trip from Cork.
From speaking to our guests since the wedding they are just in awe of the Castlecourt and its service, in particular the 5 star meal. On the day Vinny, Patrick, Joe & Ann Corcoran and all the staff ensured everything was perfect throughout the day and night.

Vinnie and Ann are just amazing and are the most lovely genuine people I have ever met, but it has to be said its not just them, every single staff member in the hotel are amazing and they love their jobs because the Castlecourt is not just another hotel with loads of staff, they are a family and the most amazing team I have ever met. So when you walk in you immediately feel the warm loving energy that radiates though the hotel. We had over 200 guests most of which stayed in the hotel for the weekend. Every single guest had nothing but glowing reports. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for helping to make our wedding day such an amazing day. Everyone knows that the Castlecourt is the best in the business but I can honestly say …

that its only when you have your own wedding there that you realise how true this is!

Vinnie couldn't have made it any easier really he is just amazing and knows his job so well. He's a great asset to the hotel! I feel like we were so well looked after and although every bride and groom is, we felt like we were the only bride and groom that existed!

Linda, Deirdre, Stephanie and all the other managers on duty that day were so helpful in making sure everything ran smoothly. Even when we had a guest show up that we didnt think would, Linda took control of the situation and assured me it would all be OK and not to Panic.

Thanks to all who worked hard in the kitchen that day, the food was amazing and so many of our guests raved about it. The staff that served the tables were unbelievable. I was watching everything from the top table and I just thought it was all so well run. I really thought they were fantastic and worked so quickly and efficiently throughout the meal.

The organisation of our first dance outside was brilliant and even though myself and Shane were very nervous about this part, it didn't feel so bad in the end (once we got on the grass where we were supposed to be!)

Jean and Thelma in reservations were a great help with booking rooms and any special requests we had as well as organising a babysitter for us for the 2 nights we stayed.

Rosaleen who babysat for us, thank you for putting us at ease and not putting anyone under pressure to be back in the room at a certain time! I felt so relaxed knowing the kids were being well looked after.

There are so many people to thank I hope I haven't forgotten anyone! Nothing went unnoticed and we appreciated everyone who helped make our day so special, we will never forget it.

As is normal in the run up to a wedding, we had trips down to liaise with the team and we couldnt have been looked after better each time we visited. When Vinny said "All ye need to bring is yourselves and your wedding cake" he really did mean it!!!! Our guests had great praise for the hotel from when they arrived to a champagne reception, to the superb meal (with seconds and thirds for those who were still able to eat!!) to the entertainment. We travelled from Athenry, Galway (1.5 hrs travel time) just to have our reception in the Castlecourt Hotel as for us there is nowhere else you will get the quality, attention to detail, and standard of care we received from this fabulous family run establishment that is the Castlecourt Hotel. felt like we were the only couple they were arranging a wedding for as they give you so much of their time and attention.

Living in England, we thought the organising would be extra hard work, however, nothing was too much and Vinny catered for everything we needed, always going over and above what we asked and always kept us informed of what was going on. Vinny made sure the day ran like clockwork and, as the bride, this was so reassuring as I did not have to worry about a thing.

We got married on 9th December 2016 and the hotel looked absolutely stunning, with the roaring fires and beautiful Christmas trees and decorations throughout.

On the wedding day the attention to detail is what made it so memorable. At the welcome reception, the staff made sure all the guests had drinks and food and they were well looked after. The meal was amazing and the service throughout was faultless. All tables were served at the same time and none were waiting for food whilst others had finished (which we have experienced a lot at other weddings). Wine glasses were never empty and everyone had a great time. The dancing went onto until 2.30am and we were welcomed into the residents bar until 4.30/5am!!!

Our family and friends have not stopped talking about what an amazing wedding it was, especially with regards to the service, the quality of the food and the hotel itself. We wish we could do it all over again and again!

Arriving on the weekend of our wedding our guest could not fault the accommodation and service. The food was amazing and service unreal. The location makes this a terrific spot for a weekend wedding and allow your guests to see the beautiful town of Westport. An absolutely amazing venue.

delicious and the portions were plentiful.

The hotel and their staff couldn't have done more for us and accommodated our every request. Vinnie and Liz helped us organised the day so easily and made sure it was a day we will always remember. From the Champagne reception to the wedding reception everything was done so well.

The location of the hotel is ideal and a mere 5 minutes walk from both the Church we got married in and Westport town centre. The bridal suite was a lovely room and not only had a beautiful four poster bed but also had a reception area and two large screen televisions.

We also had a celebration the following day for my mothers 70th birthday and again the service, food and drink was second to none. The hotel again showed why its renowned for having one of the best reputations on the west coast of Ireland and people at our wedding said they will be definitely be coming back to the hotel again.

for weddings and that is because they are true professionals and know what they are doing.

A special thanks to Vincent, John, Joe,Ann and all the staff. The hotel thinks of everything including all of the small things such as centerpieces and the tableplan. In the lead up to the wedding , Vincent the wedding co-ordinator was available at any time and even met me on his day off, on the 23rd of December! Everything on the day ran like clockwork and we received so many compliments about the food and service. The menu choice was amazing and the food and wine was very generous !

The room itself was beautifully decorated especially because it was Christmas time. It is a busy large hotel, yet because it is family run they still manage to create an intimate and very personal atmosphere. We felt like the most special people. The hotel owners Joe and Ann will greet you on arrival and serve you personally throughout the day from drinks to dessert! It is this personal touch that I think distinguishes it from other hotels. Because the Castlecourt is such a safe pair of hands it meant that we could just relax in the lead up to the wedding and really enjoy the day. It really meant that the whole wedding experience was stress free for us.

I wouldn't change a thing regarding the Castlecourt.

fabulously, with a gorgeous red carpet and champagne on arrival, and delicate fairy lights and flowers lining the entrance to the ball room, and gorgeous winter decorations and flowers on the tables and in the ball room.

The food was AMAZING, and we saw many of our guests ask for seconds! The wine was very generous, the bar staff were brilliant, the bar stayed opened late and the value for money for the entire package was out of this world compared with other hotels we had priced.

We were left in awe at how amazing our day went and SO much of that is down to the first rate staff at The Castlecourt Hotel. What's more, you are situated in the heart of beautiful Westport, one of the most breath taking spots in Ireland, with amazing picture opportunities all around you.

I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, and wouldnt change a thing.

thought it was going to be difficult to organise a wedding two and a half hours away. This couldn't be further from the truth. A handful of phone calls and 2-3 visits to the hotel in the lead up to the wedding was all that was required. The management, Liz and Vincent were both a amazing to deal with and they just couldn't do enough. They made us feel like we were the only couple ever to get married there (they have 1-2 weddings every wknd, all year round!!) The staff were unbelievable, the food was fabulous and our day was everything we had ever dreamed of. Thanks to the Corcorans, the management and staff at The Castlecourt Hotel, Westport.
