The new ballroom and garden suite for the drinks reception were all fantastic. We were also fortunate to enjoy the terrace outside the ballroom all evening, given the good weather. The setting is brilliant for photos too. The food was exceptional, all our guests were really impressed, and the special routine of serving the top table adds a nice additional touch. We were a little unsure how the day would pan out with the current covid restrictions, but it honestly could not have been better. The two of us were delighted. We would highly recommend Harvey's Point to anyone looking to plan their wedding day, and thanks again to everyone at Harvey's Point.

We were extremely lucky to squeeze in our day right before the first lockdown in March in which Mícheál and Samantha kept us reassured and calm during the uncertainty leading up to the day. They, and all the staff pulled out all the stops to make us and our guests feel extremely safe and relaxed.
The accommodation, the food, the fabulous staff and the stunning views-everything was perfect, and our guests continue to rave about it all.
We cannot thank Samantha and Mícheál enough for their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail they provided us throughout the planning process.

We recently got married in the stunning Harvey’s Point on 17th September 2020, after having to postpone from 29th May 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

good laugh. The wedding coordinators are supported by a fantastic team, each of the team know their role and do it without fault.

Both Samantha & Michéal were excellent in helping rearrange the wedding and keeping us informed of all the government guidelines, which were constantly changing at that time. Nothing was an issue for them to find out or sort out.

On the wedding day itself, it was perfect. The sun was shining (the only thing Samantha & Michéal can’t control) and both the ceremony room and ballroom were beautifully set up and decorated. Michéal was in charge for the day and he did a fantastic job, he looked after both of us so well, helped us keep any nerves limited and everything went off without a problem. Noel Also called in throughout the day to help out and have a chat.

The atmosphere was relaxed, the food and wine were amazing, with all the guests complimenting it. We also had the gin bar for the reception after the ceremony, which the guests loved. The surroundings of Harvey’s Point are beautiful and perfect location for unforgettable photographs. The hotel bedrooms are stunning and a real treat.

Although it wasn’t the wedding we had originally planned, we believe it was much better and highly recommend Harvey’s Point as the perfect wedding venue. All couples and their Guests will be well looked after by the Harvey’s Point team.

planning was exceptional and made so easy and I really didn't think about the reception side of this too much during the wedding planning as I felt it was being completely taken care of and I was right to think so.

The ballroom is beautiful and all our guests are still raving about the food which was both tasty and plentiful. Everything about the day was perfect and the staff couldn't do enough for us or our guests.
With the recent refurbishment of the ballroom too, made all of our guests and our day even more special.

months.

After a stressful year of planning with COVID-19 and being unsure what to do, with having to cut our guest list from 150 to under 50, the stress was on another level. However, Samantha and the team were amazing. Any worries went away when you spoke to them. My main concern was how a wedding of 50 would look in such a big and beautiful ballroom. What would the atmosphere be like and what would it be like to finish an Irish wedding at 11:30pm?

All these worries and more didn't matter on the day. The day was no different to any other wedding we've attended. The 50 guests number was a blessing, we had the most important people with us on our day. We live streamed it for family and friends who could not make it from England. As my husband is from Liverpool, I organised special messages from his family and friends on video and the hotel team helped play the video on their projector in the ballroom - such a lovely touch - it was a very emotional part of the day.

The ballroom was well planned out and didn't look empty with only 50 people. It was the complete opposite to what i was worried about. It showed off its beauty more with the views. The atmosphere was amazing - all our guests enjoyed themselves. Not forgetting the food - it was unbelievable and we still got our evening/night time food served before 11pm.

We had such an amazing day. We didn't want it to end, but, secretly it was nice to finish at 11:30pm as we had the feet well danced off us!

If anyone is in doubt, don't be.

I would recommend Harvey's Point Hotel for the exceptional service they offer.

Everything was above and beyond for us the bride and groom and also for our guests.

the day itself was perfect and felt so personal with 50 of our nearest and dearest. we were concerned that the fabulous new ballroom would look empty but the layout showed the ballroom off perfectly and the stunning lake views were all the more visible. our guests have been raving about the service, the personal touch and homely feeling that harvey's point offered, something they have not experienced anywhere else. the wedding hand sanitisers were a lovely touch at every place setting too! again, the guests have commented on the delicious meal, the evening buffet and the crisp sandwiches when the dancing was over! the food was truly amazing. The reception area for guests was perfect, it's so nice to have a private space for guests to sit and enjoy their DRINKs and canapes. The pier was the perfect place for PHOTOGRAPHS with the beautiful backdrop of lough eske. Its Great not having to travel too far for photos when december daylight is not on your side! The main reception room was decorated beautifully, the meal was first class and the staff were faultless. All rooms in the hotel are stunning but The bridal suite is something else! when we arrived to the room after dancing the night away we were met with a hot pot of tea on the table and our sliced wedding cake. One of the highlights for us was the tasting to choose the wedding menu.
Samantha & Micheál made the planning for our wedding effortless. They guided us through organising our big day with ease. They answered all our queries, offered advice, were flexible in catering to our requirements to make our day what we envisaged. They went above & beyond by speaking with the bakery to get instructions on setting up our wedding cake to helping us choose our entrance song.
All the staff at Harvey’s have a willingness to give guests a great experience. Marta looked after our every need during our wedding dinner & Noel ensured everyone was happy at breakfast the next morning.
As our wedding was on the 30th November Harvey’s went to the effort of putting up the Christmas trees & decorations which added an additional layer of magic to our day. Thank you, Harvey’s our wedding day was perfect. It truly was the best day of our life so far. You are experts in creating magical experiences.

made easy and straightforward. Micheál and Samantha were responsive to all emails and phone calls throughout the planning process. Our experience on the actual wedding day was exceptional. The drinks reception room was beautiful and we had plenty of refreshments for everyone having pulled the sandwiches from the evening buffet, along with scones, cookies, beer and prosecco. The Ballroom was stunning, and given that our wedding was at Christmas, the festive decorations certainly added to the magic! The food was superb And we have had so many compliments with people particularly enjoying the starter buffer. The quality of the food overall was fantastic - no cheap cuts! The waiting staff were attentive and professional. Samantha, Micheál and the entire team at Harvey’s were exceptional working cohesively to ensure a perfect day. The ballroom is brilliant for the dancing too as it’s on a lower level to the seating and as the bar is in the room it keeps the group together which is essential, while also being big enough to hold a crowd up for a good hooley! You won’t be disappointed when the band packs up and you are escorted to your accommodation for the night! The penthouse feels like a hotel within a hotel - we won’t ruin the surprises that await but it will definitely be one of the nicest suites you will ever stay in! Again, while staging for the two nights after the wedding, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, including the kind concierge who came with fresh sheets at 3 am on the second night when a stomach bug had gotten the better of the bride. He was so helpful and understanding! Our experience from start to finish with Harvey’s Point was 5 star and we would recommend it to anyone!

From the outset, Samantha and Micheál listened to our modest requirements and over a period of months took great care to stay in touch with us and deliver exactly what we wanted, and more. We could not have wished for a better Events Team to make useful suggestions at the planning stage, look after the room bookings for guests and to coordinate things on the day itself, adding their very personal and professional touches yet remaining discretely at a distance so as not to intrude. Well done.

This review would be lacking if we did not also compliment everyone else including waiting staff and those in the restaurant who made our evening meal so very memorable.

In summary, I heartily recommend Harvey's Point as a top-class wedding venue where Samantha, Micheál and absolutely everyone else will make your special day even more special. If I could award more stars than five, I would.

reached out to us immediately and offered new dates. Within one day of having to postpone our wedding the new date was arranged and all accommodation bookings transferred over. This saved a lot of stress through their prompt response.
Throughout the entire process they kept us updated of new legislation and how this would impact us, working with us to ensure we had the perfect wedding but still adhering to all guidelines.
The renovated ballroom is beautiful and there is so much attention to detail in all aspects. The view over the lake is stunning.
The food was brilliant, with everyone commenting how good it was.
The bedrooms were also spectacular! Every member of staff was personable but also very professional. We would highly recommend Harvey’s Point to anyone planning a wedding, and also recognise the hard work of Samantha and Micheal who without a doubt are the best in the business. Thanks again!

We had one final run to Harvey’s point the day before the wedding and we both left feeling super content knowing that our big day was in the very capable hands of Samantha and Micheál. Samatha even kept in touch on the day, while awaiting our arrival to Harvey’s, updating us on weather etc.
When we arrived to Harvey’s point the attention to detail and service was exceptional, our whole wedding party and family members had a member of staff by their side for any request. From the very first conversation we had with Micheal we realised this was the venue we would use for the biggest day of our lives, this was due mainly to his professional approach , but most of all to give us what we wanted and directed us in the best way to achieve our aim .

guests noted how it was great to have the starters in the Garden Suite. They had traveled far and were hungry and appreciated not having a long wait.

We also really valued Noel's recommendations to have a top table as initially we thought that we would avoid that format. It was a lovely way to connect and see our guests and make them feel part of our day. Noel also helped us transition seamlessly through the speeches with his great sense of humour.

We were very pleased with the food and the welcome. Many guests highly commended the whole day and that is down to the team at Harvey's. From start to finish, I also felt that all communications were very warm, respectful and considered both in meetings, emails and at reception.

I know there is a lot of juggling needed when communicating with guests needing rooms and changing the goalposts and I would recommend that future couples double clarify the room uptake in advance of the wedding. We both would like to thank Harvey's Point for hosting a dream wedding for us that went above and beyond all our expectations.

What can we say that didn't speak volumes on the day!! Harvey's Point was the perfect location for our wedding morn prep,ceremony and reception on the sunny weekend in May. It was perfectly relaxed yet very classy, homely and professionally orchestrated by the wedding co-ordinators and staff. …

Nothing was a problem to Micheal who was rarely seen but always near and he & Samantha were always ready to swoop in and dissolve any problem or concern for us or our guests. Samantha even escorted me back to the bedroom and got down on her hands & knees to wipe off the traces of muck that I had got on the train of my dress during photos. All the feedback from guests has been very positive with many sneaking back for a wee weekend with friends or family of their own. For those who had already been before certainly got the WOW factor of the wedding set up, for those who hadn't were completely mind blown. My (now) husband had attended the Wedding showcase while I was off Skiing in Italy I knew he was sold on it and I didn't need any convincing because the views & setting is breathtaking however if it was a miserable cold day it offers such a lovely, cosy retreat and as we don't have any control over the weather I wasn't going to stress about that anyhow, but as it turns out the sun came out in full force a reflection of how we felt on the inside. It's the best decision we ever made wouldn't have changed one thing. All the rooms were fab and the honeymoon suite amazing. The food was gorgeous and plentiful, frequent praise we have heard from our guests but also from anyone who we talk about Harvey's Point to whether it be that they experienced it themselves or have heard from others & have on their To Do list. If you are getting married and want to enjoy YOUR day knowing that everything you want will be possible, catered for and took care off then it's a no brainer we have been to some array of venues and not once thought perhaps we should have had it there.Harvey's we nailed it!

We dealt with Joanne at the start - a lovely, down to earth girl who couldn't have been more helpful and always answered my email queries (and there were a lot of them!) quickly and effectively. When we realised Joanne wasn't going to be there on the week of the wedding we were a bit concerned but quickly realised that Samantha was every bit as friendly, helpful and efficient as Joanne.

On the day of the wedding everything went without a hitch and some great memories were made. I know a lot of our guests are still talking about the food - the buffet options left everyone spoilt for choice and the quality of the food overall was first class. We can honestly say that Harvey's was a massive contributing factor to the best day of our lives and we would highly recommend it to any bride and groom looking for the perfect wedding venue.

Two years ago as mine and Joe’s birthday is on the same day (3rd October) I searched the internet for a night away to stay in Donegal when I came across Harvey’s Point and immediately thought it looked amazing so …

I booked us in to stay. From the moment we walked through the door we just fell in love with the place. The staff on reception were extremely friendly and so helpful and just lovely. Our room was just amazing. That night then we went for dinner (their food is just perfect also) Joe had arranged, with the help of the staff to propose after dinner, he had the waiter bring my ring out along with a birthday cake when he then got down on one knee and proposed in front of everyone and of course I said yes!! It was all just so overwhelming.
So from that night on we were hooked with Harvey’s Point and decided that that’s where our wedding would be so we set our date for Tuesday 2/10/2018.
We cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us. They are so professional in everything they do and they made us feel so welcome and they made organising our wedding so easy and stress-free. We stayed down the night before but they just took care of everything, anything we wanted they took care of it. It was just the most perfect day we’ve ever had. We cannot praise the hotel and the staff enough, they kept to their schedule of the day and made sure everything went smoothly which it did so that made us feel at ease knowing that they were there taking care of everything. A lot of our guests had never been and they just loved it too and I’m sure they will be back again.
We really can’t praise them enough, we will now be regular guests especially on our birthday/anniversary every year.

wedding venue 1.5 years before our wedding date, and from the moment we booked it, we were beyond delighted with the service we received.
The wedding consultants are so easy to get in contact with, answer all of your questions, provide any information you should need - whether it be multiple floor plans or the dimensions of the dance floor! They will try to make every vision you have work and ensure it is your dream day. Even when it came to the tasting, they made that such a special experience with our own personalized menu!
On the day itself, we were absolutely blown away. Samantha & Christy were there the entire time, tending to our every need. At one point, I lost a little brooch that had been on my bouquet and mentioned it to Samantha, thinking I wouldn't find it again. Samantha went out of her way to ensure it was found. Christy checked in with all of our guests, ensured everyone was enjoying themselves, and any little "bumps" along the way were smoothed out within minutes so that we weren't even made aware! Noel also had a lovely introduction prior to the dinner as well, he had gone out of his way to get to know us - even referring to the hospital I was born in!
Cost-wise, it is expensive. You can definitely get cheaper venues. But I can honestly say they are worth every penny, all the time spent saving. Even just for the level of service you receive, they are simply another class. We have asked so many of our guests what was their favorite part of the day, and a lot of them have said "no particular part, just the venue itself, how gorgeous it is, the "little things" they did and the food".
You will be beyond delighted if you have your Day at Harvey's!

We had THE most fantastic day. Obviously our guests thought the hotel and surrounds were amazing and everyone commented on the professionalism and warmth of the staff. Families noted how well even the small children were attended to and made feel welcome. The food was amazing. One friend said afterwards "that was definitely the best wedding breakfast, ever'"!

Our thanks and gratitude goes out to the whole team. It was a fabulous day, perfect from start to finish, and clearly enjoyed by all.

trouble & they constantly went above & beyond in every aspect of our big day. The night before the wedding was stressful to say the least, but Joanne couldn't have been more accomodating, even returning to work after her shift finished to help us put everything together, constantly assuring us all would be ok.

The new entrance is just stunning & it made our day knowing that we not only had use of the main function room for our meal & evening reception, but also the new room for our drinks reception, complete with a jazz-style bar & separate area where your requested beverages are presented & served from.

Our menu tasting was fantastic! The food was gorgeous & the choice of dishes brilliant. When we couldn't narrow down our mains to 2 choices, Joanne gave us a 3rd for the same price, which was yet another much-appreciated special touch! The wedding meal was nothing short of amazing! Our guests have said they haven't had a wedding meal like it before & the surprise fireworks at dessert added an unforgettable magical moment to our entire day!

The Bridal Suite is just out of this world! It's massive, beautifully decorated & very romantic. Another very meaningful touch was the platter of buffet food, wedding cake with tea & coffee, & a personalised poem about marriage left in our room by the hotel

for the wedding day, Robbie and I could not have dreamt for a more magical day. Everything ran so smoothly and any requests we had made were attended to with such professionalism. We are so grateful to all of the staff including Noel for their friendly treatment towards us and all of our guests, as well as their top quality service. The food was outstanding and our guests are still talking about how fabulous everything was including the stunning scenery and luxurious hotel rooms for those who stayed over. One of the memorable highlights of the day for everyone was the fireworks display and letting off air lanterns. Once again, the staff had already gone to great lengths to let off the floating water lilies which really set the scene prior to taking our guests outside for this surprise.

Robbie and I would highly recommend Harvey's Point to anyone... it ticks every box and will always be a special place for us. itself is amazing, beautiful scenery, both the ballroom and the conference centre where we had our ceremony are both beautiful settings.
However, it was the staff that really made the day so special. The attention to detail was incredible. As a very small example, I had mentioned months before in passing that I had a preferred beer as I cannot drink wine, and all throughout the day all the staff were aware of this and provided me with that particular beer that I had mentioned ages before, which was a lovely touch. There are many more examples of amazing small details like that - all the staff could not have been more helpful and were not just completely professional, but also were able to do it in a way that was down to earth and not stuffy - we and the attendees were made feel so relaxed throughout the day. Everybody who was at the wedding cannot stop talking about the day and in particular the venue, if I had a penny for the amount of times I have heard 'you can see why it wins best wedding venue in Ireland every year' since the wedding I would be a very rich man!
In relation to planning for the wedding, the two wedding reps who we dealt with, Samantha and Joanne, could not have been nicer, incredibly professional throughout but also very friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout the planning process and we are very grateful to them for making the planning so much easier.
In summary, we could not recommend Harveys Point enough. Both ourselves and the guests were blown away by how amazing the venue and the staff were, and we will always hold both in a special place in our heart as they helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives.

From the day we started planning our wedding to finishing touches the night before, the pre-wedding service by Samantha and her team is impeccable. The staff worked holistically with any suppliers we had booked and we didn't even need to worry about it as the wonderful staff had taken care of all the arrangements.

On the big day, we were overjoyed with how the venue looked, it was magnificent and we really appreciate all the effort the team put in so we could have a wonderful day. The new bar in the Garden Suite with the lake views is something to behold and it was the perfect setting for our guests to enjoy their welcome beverages and pre-dinner entertainment.

The food was top-notch as expected and each and every one of our 150 guests commented on how impressed they were with the tasty dishes. Everything about the day was wonderful, they went above and beyond any expectations we ever had. Samantha and her team provided so many extra thoughtful touches on the wedding day (which we won't spoil for other B&G's, B&B's or G&G's!)

We'd like to thank the team once again for helping us make memories that will last a life time! If you are looking for a venue that is a show-stopper then we'd highly recommend you choose Harvey's Point! P.S the guest rooms are absolutely fantastic (classical music in the bathrooms fantastic!) as well as this, the honeymoon suite was twice the size of our two bedroom flat in North London!

We have just had our wedding in Harvey's Point on the 3rd of March 2017. From the moment we entered the gates two years prior to our wedding, We new straight away this was where we wanted our reception. From the drive in, to the actual hotel, it was just perfect.

with all those amazing people that work in Harvey's, but I think il start with Samantha, our wedding coordinator, 5star service from start to finish,one step ahead of us all the time,great person,easy to work with, talk to, made planning a wedding for 265 people a lot easier than I could imagine. I can't thank you enough Samantha you made our day.
Also,Joanne, that also helped us keep our nerve and kept everything ticking over nicely, kept us right when we weren't sure about certain things.Two wonderful lady's abusoule credit to their jobs.

PERFECT nothing went wrong nothing. We had family from England, Scotland,Canada and all different parts of Ireland attend our wedding, everyone of them said the same thing....best wedding we have ever been at. For this we thank you! Once we viewed Harvey's Point we knew it was the perfect venue- everything is included in the package so there was nothing extra to worry about or to add so no hiddden costs and all very affordable. The setting on Lough Eske is stunning and the ballroom is gorgeous with a nice top table, lower …

dancefloor with tables all around and huge bar area. I knew HP had a huge reputation for outstanding food and this was the main feedback after the wedding- it was just amazing. We had 2 courses served and then the 'dessert bar' - basically a room full of desserts which guests can select and basically have whatever they want!

The staff also made the wedding, they really couldn't do enough and they throw in a few surprises which I won't spoil for any future couples. The rooms you stay in are huge, luxurious and a real treat- and that is for the guests too. The different layers of the room (slightly sunken dancefloor) meant that the room will never look to bare or too packed and only 1 table had to be moved from the dancefloor meaning minimal disruption to guests.

While every couple knows it can rain on their wedding day, we could never have planned for how much it actually did rain (Storm Abigail). Little did I know that our venue turned out to be the perfect option for this situation-there are so many alcoves & areas to take images and outdoor walkways that are actually covered but looked like we were outside. This was a lifesaver for us and our photographer as we still had loads of options despite the torrential rain. The guests hardly noticed as they were cosy in the bar beside a roaring fire and drinks.

I couldn't recommend Harvey's Point enough, it is a little bit of heaven in Donegal (we traveled from Tyrone/Leitrim), the staff make it all so easily, high food reputation and lots of extra touches meaning you really don't have to worry about anything!

I have to honestly say that the team at Harvey's Point, especially Heide and Samantha went to great lengths to ensure that everything went smoothly for us. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did. Throughout the whole planning I had one minor setback and the team took care of it so I did not have to worry. The whole process was stress free. We were given information of suppliers and they were always there to answer any questions we had. They provided such an individualised service that it made our wedding day so special and made us feel like we were their only clients. From the outset we knew we wanted to have the hotel as our venue as my husband and I stayed there a few times over the years and loved the place. Staff are friendly, the rooms are stunning and the food is to die for! It's a treat to spend a night there so I knew that this was the place for my wedding. I have been to other wedding venues and no where compares to here. Everyone of our guests could not compliment the place enough. They loved the food and wine and could not believe their rooms were so luxurious. The day itself went great. We were greeted on arrival by Samantha, Noel and other staff with champagne and they took us to see the ball room and our cake table. We spent the next hour or so taking pictures by the lake and in the gardens and we were so fortunate to be able to have all our friends and family around us when we were taking pictures. The sun came out in bursts and everyone was out on the outdoor terrace enjoying the drinks reception.

The service at the top table was absolutely amazing. We had our own staff basically to tend to every need and to be honest made us feel like royalty! We had our food served to the table and they kept coming around with seconds. I sampled absolutely everything and the food was amazing. In between courses we mingled with our guests which I loved as I wanted to thank everyone for coming and as we are living overseas hadn’t seen some people in years so it was very special.

The bridal suite was by far the most amazing room I have ever stayed in. It all felt so luxurious and grand and we couldn’t have been happier. We stayed the night after the wedding also and invited our families up for champagne which was great. We actually conducted tours of the room to family and friends as we were so impressed!

To all the staff at Harvey’s thank you so, so much for giving us such an amazing, fabulous day that we will never forget. We can’t thank Samantha and Heide enough for their professionalism and all of their help during the preparation of our wedding. It made it so much easier living on the other side of the world to know that they had everything under control and organised to perfection.

We would highly recommend Harvey’s Point to anyone considering having their wedding there. Its set in a beautiful waterside location, surrounded by mountains. On our wedding day, we were lucky and had beautiful weather, our guests were able to avail of the outside patio and enjoy the drinks …

reception. We’ve also been there when the weather is not as good and its surrounds are still dramatic, while inside, open log fires make the hotel cozy and welcoming. The function rooms are spacious and inviting, with large windows looking out at the fantastic views from the hotel.

The bedrooms in the hotel are beautiful, finished to a very high standard and feel very luxurious. When booking your bedrooms remember to agree the amount of rooms and room rates for both family allocation and other guests rooms in advance. Tell guests who are not on the family allocation to book the guest rate early as for us the bedrooms booked up fast.

Harvey’s Point is well known for its fabulous food and both our meal and evening buffet were great. The desert buffet is a must have! We received overwhelming positive comments from our guests on the food, and this continued throughout their stay. The staff were really nice and the service was excellent. Each member of staff were extremely professional and courteous, and made the atmosphere even more welcoming and friendly for our guests; exactly what we wanted. In particular, Heidi our wedding coordinator in Harvey’s was fantastic, she was easy to work with, flexible and helpful. All the staff at the hotel really made an effort to make the day the best it can be. We wouldn’t have any negative comments at all. It really is a special hotel!

wedding co-ordinator Samantha and her team did an excellent job. The way Harveys do the little touches I have not seen bettered at any other wedding venue. The entrance for the bridal party, the service of the food to the top table and the food itself was phenomenal.

We went for the buffet option which I have not seen done at any other wedding venue. The starters range from garlic bread to oysters with everything in between. You don't have to worry about your guests who are picky eaters as no matter what your pallet is,you will be in food heaven.

All of our guests had an amazing time. Any guests who stayed in the hotel (which I would highly recommend) could not get over the size of the rooms.

It's hard to find a fault in anything that Harveys Point did. I can't see how anybody would be disappointed with Harveys as a wedding venue. The grounds itself also make for breathtaking photos.

The layout of the ball room certainly adds to the occasion. The sunk dance floor makes it hard to leave the dance floor while having the bar in the room means that the party does not get split up.

We are based in London, and as such we needed a lot of help to organise things remotely and the hotel were simply superb, nothing was too much trouble for Heide, Samantha and the team. Every recommendation they gave us for outside suppliers was great, especially the flowers and photo booth!
We had an absolute ball on our wedding day, because we didnt have to think or worry about anything, the hotel staff just took care of everything for us, and dont even get us started on the food, it is to die for.
When you are organising your wedding, you concentrate on the big ticket items and sort the smaller things at the end, but with Harvey's they not only sort out the things you want they also throw in a load of little tiny extra touches that really do help to make you feel special and we cannot get back there for another stay, as they are simply superb!

fantastic! No request was impossible and no question too silly - we were treated in an utmost professional manner by the entire Harvey's Point staff. (My husband was even allowed to exhibit his motorbike collection inside the main reception door!!)
I had never been to a wedding in Harvey's before and most of our guests were travelling from afar. The consensus was that it was the best hotel that any of them had ever stayed in.
So.. The wedding day...where to start!
Greeted by Noel at the door and walking on clouds for the day!! The ballroom was amazing - we didn't hire any extra decor for the room and now I am glad we didn't - the minute detail was taken care of by Heide and the team - right down to them matching the flowers on the tables to the flowers in the bouquets... It really was phenomenal!
The food... Amazing! And that was not just the report from the top table! Everybody was well fed and the famous apple and parsnip soup went down a treat (guests are still talking about it!!)
The service... Well I just won't say too much here! The night was full of surprises- good ones! And the service was impeccable!

Sitting talking to Samantha it felt like we had known her a lifetime and myself and Karol were really pleased and delighted that we were in capable and safe hands which lifted a lot of weight of our shoulders. We had planned our wedding over two years and met with Samantha a handful of times to catchup and go over a few things. Everything was more or less taken care of by Samantha as she had carefully taken onboard all of our needs and wants. Heide was more than accomodating and a pleasure to work with as she also helped us out greatly also.

The day of the wedding was amazing as Harvey's Point delivered a flawless service and the preparation and hardwork of all the staff was overwhelming. We couldn't believe how wonderful everything was. It was just as we had wanted and we hadn't exactly made it entirely easy for Samantha as we had left things until the night before i.e. centrepieces and song choices. Again, Samathan and Heide took everything in their stride and we were astonished at the effort and planning they had put into our special day. My guests and family are still talking about Harvey's Point and many have been back since. Karol and I couldn't have dreamt for a better day. :-)

is a serious accomplishment as the hotel is so busy with weddings. They made what must be an everyday occurrence for them, an absolutely unforgettable experience. Guests at the wedding, to this day, recall memories of the service and the food (oh my goodness, delicious!). I cried (this never happens I promise) leaving the premises when all was over as the whole experience was so utterly magical. coupled with the warm and friendly staff - in particular Samantha who showed us around - meant we just had to book (nothing else came remotely close). I needn't have worried about organising a wedding the other side of the Irish Sea, as Samantha and Heide were always so helpful and accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble and I felt reassured the whole time. Many of our guests stayed at Harvey's and all of them were blown away by the spacious rooms and exquisite food. Many of them commented that it was the "nicest hotel" they've ever stayed in. As for the wedding day itself, Harvey's exceeded all expectations. Everything ran seamlessly, the food was heavenly and the pair of us could soak up everything going on around us because the friendly, helpful staff took care of absolutely everything. There were so many amazing surprises along the way (which I won't spoil for future bride and grooms) but these additional touches made our day incredible and unforgettable. Our honeymoon suite was HUGE and so comfortable and spacious for myself and the bridesmaids to get ready in the morning. thanks to Annmarie who helped us with initial reservations. They are so professional and took a lot of potential stress out of the organising. Everything about the day there was fantastic -the welcome as we arrived, the beautiful room set up, amazing quality (and quantity) of food, excellent service and compering from the charismatic Noel Cunningham. Aside from a stunning location and property, everyone we came into contact with was so friendly and helpful. The honeymoon suite was fabulous – we were sorry we didn’t have more time in it!! Breakfast the next day was better than we have had in some five star hotels. They go the extra mile at Harvey’s Point – small example but the night before the wedding my husband was staying there and they arranged food for him after the kitchen had closed – things like that you remember and it makes a difference! Harvey's Point is tranquil. But aside from its stunning views, it is what's inside that really impresses. Harvey's Point know how to host the perfect wedding, it's that simple. After our first wedding planning meeting with Samantha McNulty, we were both enamoured with her attitude, understanding, flexibility and the advice she imparted to us.

Their buffet wedding spread is undoubtedly one of their unique selling points for the food lovers out there. We have been to a great deal of weddings, not just in Ireland, but abroad. Nowhere have we experienced the quality of food available to our guests. Even breakfast was a treat for those who stayed on the night of the wedding!

We had a lot of guests that travelled from all parts of the world to celebrate our wedding, and to this day they still compliment the amazing spread of food on offer, and the luxurious accommodation they enjoyed. All Harvey’s rooms are ‘suites’, and far exceeded the expectations of even the most well travelled of our guests.

After our ceremony we moved to Harveys Bar for a drinks reception where our favourite barman Christopher served champagne to our family and friends. We had hired Adrian Cullen, a Dean Martin tribute singer for the ceremony and the drinks reception. He was a huge hit with all who where in the bar and the atmosphere was amazing. Our reception was held in the fine dining restaurant. We were set aside in a small room that over looked the main restaurant. It was perfect. We had our privacy but yet felt part of the 5 star experience that we have come to love at Harveys Point. We were treated like royalty and served by the maitre'd himself, Orhan Erinc and the wonderful Nancy. With such a small gathering we still had quite a few special food requests which were tended to with the utmost professionalism. We cannot recommend Harveys Point highly enough for your wedding. Harveys Point is set in the most beautiful, picturesque and peaceful setting, being overlooked by the Blue Stack Mountains. So whatever your requirements are you will not be disappointed.

a wedding with a 12 hour time difference was daunting, but once we met Sara and Samantha, the wedding co-ordinators at Harvey's point, our minds were quickly put at ease.
Sara and Samantha are complete professionals, and without a doubt made our wedding day exceptional. Nothing was a problem for either of them. Anything we requested or wanted, they helped us get it.
As a special request, we wanted some Australian beer, so our guests could enjoy. Harvey's Point were only too happy to help us organise this, and our guest's just thought this was amazing.
Everything about this hotel is just Fab. All the hotel staff were just amazing on the day. No matter who it was, we were greeted so warmly and treated so well.
The food on our wedding day, was top class, and if you have never been at a wedding here,the food alone and the service is something everyone should experience.
The Honeymoon suite is unbelievable - honestly one of the best hotel suites I have seen in any country. The grounds of the hotel made for fantastic wedding photographs, and it was the only place we wanted to have them on the day.

We meat with Samantha and Heidi and i can honestly say from day one they were a pleasure to deal with. They obviously deal with many weddings at Harvey`s but they treated us and made us feel like we where the only couple in the world getting married. I really do not understand why people say organising a wedding is stressful for the couple as Samantha and Heidi made the lead up to our wedding the easiest thing in the world. all our preparations, pointed us in the right direction for assistance and basically allayed all our fears that the day would go anything other than smoothly. Needless to say it did. We were blessed with good weather, which for the time of year was a bonus. From the moment we arrived at the venue we were swept into the arms of the Samantha and her team and they brought us through every aspect of the day with a calmness that calmed us..!! The banquet suite was magnificent, like something out of a fairytale....it looked stunning. All our guests were treated like royalty right from the moment they set foot in Harvey's. Our MC for the day - Noel was a treat. What a guy. Before the meal he got everyone into a celebratory mood and the way the wedding party entered and were greeted on the day was amazing. As for the meal, well I could go on, but it was simply the BEST wedding service we'd ever witnessed. Naturally we were catered for at the top table very well, but you wouldn't believe the number of guests who commented on the quality of the meal. The selction of starters & desserts provided left everyone astonished (and definitely not hungry!) Looking back, and being honest about this, there is not a single fault or blemish on the day in Harvey's Point. We could not praise the venue or staff highly enough. They were magnificent. It is a beautiful setting with the lough on hand, perfect for photos. The meal & the wine were sumptuous. The accomodation is wonderous (rooms are massive!) and the staff were an asset too, not only did they deliver a great service, but they joined in the celebrations too! 5 stars is simply not enough to rate Harvey's Point. It deserves an 8 (at least)!!

booking with harveys point. We booked with Sara and Samantha, and for day one, anything asked of them, they delivered. Absolutely incredible wedding co-ordinators.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were treated like royalty. Staff were extremely helpful and never showed signs of frustration or annoyance, regardless of what was asked of them. They were professional in all aspects of there Job.

We were lucky enough to get good weather on the day of the wedding, so the grounds of the hotel were exceptional. Our photographer (having been to Harveys before) did not want us stopping anywhere along the way for photos, he wanted to make the most of Harveys grounds and Bridal Suite. Needless to say, the photos were fantastic.

The Bridal suite was unbelievable. A large four poster bed and a room that could pass for a small house. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer than the one night.

The food on the day was fantastic and the service was second to none. We had alot of our guests telling us about the hotel, its normally the first thing the mention about the wedding.
There was not one aspect of our wedding day that we would change. It is true what they say about never forgetting your special day, and for us, Harveys point played a massive part.

Best day of my like, not only did i marry my beautiful wife Lisa, but also had the dream wedding in the dream location.

expectations were fairly high. However, nothing could prepare us for the quality of care and attention that we received, it far exceeded anything we could've imagined. From the start, in all of our dealings with Samantha and her team and in the preparations for the day, we were treated in a first-class fashion. No request, no query, was a problem and the attention to detail was fantastic. In the build up to the day Samantha brought us through all the preparations and accomodated any request made. On the day, the room for the ceremony was prepared and presented exquisitely. After the ceremony the guests were attended to superbly and able to relax in the surrounds of the oval bar. Then it was on to the meal. Again the room was beautifully prepared. The MC, Noel, set the tone for the party at this point with his wonderful introductions which got everyone up on their feet again. We were all treated to a fantastic meal. The food at Harvey's was always fantastic, but I can tell you that the food at a wedding there is equally as good. The quality and range offered was amazing. Our guests were very keen to tell us this. From the soup, through the multitude of starters to the main meal (which was superb) and on to the collection of desserts. Though lots of guests failed to make it through to the desserts, simply having no room for them...!! Afterwards the room was then transformed seemlessly for the dancing, without anyone practically noticing. There were lots of little surprises along the way, which I'll not disclose so as not to ruin it for any future couples, but everyone in the room was treated fantastically throughout the day. We always knew the setting was superb. Our guests who stayed overnight and had not been to Harvey's before, were amazed at the size and quality of the rooms. It is an idyllic spot and is a place that always reflects calm and contentment, but let me tell you Harvey's can also do party and celebration. From the off, Samantha and Noel were able to engage with our guests in a way that generated an atmosphere of celebration which continued throughout the day. They were perfect hosts, not in a superficial manner either. Noel greeted guests on arrival, engaged throughout the day with everyone and was even present at breakfast the next morning to catch up again!! Samantha too was on hand to attend to any need of the wedding party and was able to keep us right on what was happening and when. In fact all of the staff at Harvey's deserve tremendous credit. They have that knack of being there when you need them but otherwise they totally blend into the background. It is genuinely hard to truly put into words how superb Harvey's Point was for a celebration such as this. Everything (and I mean everything) ran like clockwork. They take the stress out of the day that is for sure. Simply put, they are masters of their art. on our wedding day.. an ideal location for photos we didn't leave the grounds and got the most amazing photos of us on the bridge, beside the boathouse, by the lake and loads more including the bedroom... the photographer(with 20years experience) was so impressed with the venue. All of our guest had a wonderful time and spent the day in the gardens and reception room-there is direct access from the reception room to the gardens. The variety and quality of the food was breathtaking. Everyone was so helpful and no matter we requested we where meet with a hearty yes. Sara and Samantha where exceptionally helpful and always on hand when we needed them. Even down to the morning of wedding I had left requests for them to arrange pearls on the table and they were done perfectly. It was certainly the venue of our dreams. On the day of the wedding, Harvey's was the perfect host to us and to our family and guests.
The food, service and courtesy extended to us was faultless, not to mention the size of the extraordinary bridal sweet, beautifully appointed with a bar, and Beautiful bathroom, which resulted in us taking tours up for viewing the next day!
The guests are still raving about the size of their bedrooms too!
So we can't sing the praises high enough of Harvey's point and the team, Sarah, Samantha, Noel and all of the fab team for really making our day so special.
Also the idyllic location tucked away by the beautiful lake..

best rooms we have ever stayed in and the food is up there with the best. The staff were so helpful with everything and trust their recommendations on local florists DJ's etc as we are not from the area we trusted them and everything from the cake to the wine exceeded our expectations. You are always going to love the place you get married and our guests are probably a better measure of how good Harveys is and could not of been happier - they enjoyed it so much that most of them have visited since on their own. If you are looking for the ideal wedding venue look no further - I would also recommend staying for at least 2x nights and eating in the new shell fish bar, again out of this world. We could not of been happier with everything and we recommend this hotel above any other they really are the best in the business.

We were blessed with sunshine on our day which gave us the opportunity to have photos by the lake. We were under no pressure as the staff looked after everything. The meal was fantastic, and Noel the character that he is gave our guests a laugh or three with his infectious personality.

On the day of our wedding the sun shone after a terribly wet summer and that was the beginning of the best day of our lives. The food, the venue and accommodation are all still talked about by our friends. The service we received was second to none.
I like every other bride was a little nervous that the day would all come together ok, but to be honest all i had to do was show up, Harvey's Point took care of the rest.
We fell in love with Harvey's Point and have been back many times since, sometimes to treat our parents to the buffet lunch and other times as a little weekend break away from the kids! We are treated like royalty every time.
I don't tell my friends but i have never been to a wedding as nice as my own!!

I had my wedding at Harvey's in August 2011 and it was marvelous, couldn't have asked for anything more.
My bridal party and I stayed in the hotel the night before and when we left the room for the ceremony the staff came and moved all our possessions to the beautiful presidential suite which the …

groom and I would be staying in that night.
Paul, the masters of ceremonies was brilliant, he talked us through everything we needed to do and had the timings down to a fine art; he was also really good with all the guests, getting them going in all the right places.
After the ceremony my husband and I received a glass of champagne whilst we had some photos done (and brought our 2 dogs out for a run around) and then before the meal we taken away for a quiet 5 minutes alone together (with another drink) whilst the staff got all the guests seated.
The meal was amazing (I would thoroughly recommend the buffet starters and desserts), my new in-laws are quite hard to please and even they were blown away (not just by the food) and the service was second to none; also the wee surprises throughout the meal were fantastic finishing touches. (I won't spoil them for anyone else).
We then adjourned to the bar, which I love with all it's open fires and comfy seating, whilst the room was prepared for the evening (a time restriction for the end of the evening was never imposed)
Buffet food was brought out later in the evening and again it was amazing.
After dancing the night away mu husband and I retired to the presidential suite - which was out of this world - I only wish we'd had more time to enjoy it - where we could have had breakfast in bed had we chosen to.
We were given a fabulous wedding gift by the hotel (which again I won't spoil for others) and the hotel had decorated beautifully - all in all it was the most amazing day ever - I would do it all again in a heartbeat and I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Harvey's Point you are spectacular xx

and Samantha were always onhand to answer any of our pre-wedding queries, and Paul made sure the day stayed on track. One of the highlights for us was the quiet drink we had in the bar before being introduced into the dining room. Really special moment and a lovely touch. The bridal suite will take your breath away. I think we lost each other a couple of times during our stay! Another lovely touch is being able to sit with your guests at breakfast the following morning at the big round table - a great way to disect the day/night before.
We can't recommend Harvey's Point highly enough.....the perfect locationfor your wedding.

From the initial planning of the wedding, right down to the day you will find that the staff are very helpful, friendly, accommodating and approachable. We asked for a few special things to incorporate and this was no problem. We also had luck on our side in that the sun shone very brightly that day and it was lovely as the guests could go outside by the lake which was also so handy for taking photographs so you are not away from your guests for too long. The dining hall is so lovely in that you can see the natural Irish landscape, the mountains and Lough Eske nearby, and the general ambiance is lovely in the room.

Generally I do not give reviews unless I feel very strongly about something. We cannot fault Harvey's Point and we look forward to returning there shortly as it has special memories for us both. We are so glad we chose Harvey's Point and would say to any couple who are looking, you will not be disappointed if you chose this hotel. I still have guests telling me how much they enjoyed the hotel from the beautiful food, the desert buffet to the massive luxury bedrooms. I truly would say having been to a number of weddings, and without bias, Harvey's Point stands out and is in a league of its own.

Once again thanks to all the team who made our day so special and thanks for all your help and kind sentiments. We are so glad we chose Harvey’s Point.

planning of our wedding very easy. She is an invaluable asset to Harvey's Point, I couldn't of asked for a nicer person to deal with. Paul was also very good to us at the top table, thank you.

Our guests are still talking about the delicious food, the wide variety in the starter & dessert buffet pleased everyone. We are glad we opted for the buffet instead of plating the starters & desserts.

The rooms are absolutely fabulous! We have been fortunate enough to stay in many hotels in Ireland & overseas but we have never stayed in rooms as beautiful & grand as the ones in Harvey's. Total luxury!

One small thing we were a bit disappointed about was half our guests including our family members didn't realise there was a drinks reception in the garden marquee. Perhaps a member of staff could be appointed to direct guest to the drinks reception.

To summarise, we had the best day of our lives & Harvey's Point has given us fantastic memories.
We plan to return as often as possible!
