friendly and displayed very high levels of professionalism. All our questions were answered and we knew we were in good hands. We were blessed to have Alan overseeing everything for us and he was just outstanding from start to finish. He's an absolute gentleman and we'll never be able to thank him enough for his support and guidance throughout our wedding planning journey. Any questions we had were promptly answered and it felt as if we didn't even have much to do as everything was taken care of for us! I was collected on the wedding morning by Carlo, who was another fantastic addition to our day. A lovely, lovely guy who so kindly helped us in the background to look presentable in our wedding photos on what was an extremely windy day!! Everyone just went above and beyond for us and we couldn't be happier. The food was beautiful, the set up of the room was ideal and there were so many other little touches provided by the hotel that made our day extra special. Kenmare and the staff at the Kenmare Bay Hotel hold a very special place in our hearts. We also had a great laugh along the way. We have very fond memories of our special day and we can't wait to visit again soon.

postpone the wedding twice. Sile was so supportive each time we were looking for a new date. As our wedding date in March 2023 was finally on the horizon, Alan was so helpful and again went through what our day would be like from start to finish. It was so lovely to be able to feel the excitement once more. I stayed in the beautiful Luxury Lodges with my bridesmaids, Mom and little girl on the night before the wedding. We got such a lovely warm welcome on our arrival and I got a peak of the function room. A number of guests stayed the night before and we had a wonderful sing-song at the piano in the bar. On the morning of the wedding, breakfast was delivered to us at the Lodges, so we could all get ready and eat in a relaxed atmosphere. When the ceremony in Kenmare Church was over, we were greeted at the hotel door by Tom in his fabulous tuxedo, who was there to usher us all in for the Drinks Reception. The wedding Reception was so fantastic, we were lucky to have 270 guests join us for what was such a wonderful day. It was seamless, the layout of the function room, the service - and the food was just sublime. From 2018 to 2023 it was such an absolute pleasure to deal with Alan, Sile, Hanneke in Reservations. There is a fantastic team at the hotel and we could feel how genuine they all were from the moment we met them. From the outset, all we wanted was a big party to celebrate our marriage, we got that, and so much more. Wish we could do it all again! Love, Edel and Mervin Clifford.

We had the most amazing wedding day. Having checked out other Hotels and premises, including having a Marquee in our local on the Island where we both live, we knew The Kenmare Bay Hotel was for us. From our first phone call with Alan in October 2021 to our wedding day in September, there was …

nothing too big or too small for him and his team. Every phone called answered, every email replied to, no matter how trivial. They were on hand with tips, local suppliers, timings etc. Their wedding package was amazing, it fitted every budget, every dietary requirement, nothing was impossible. All the decor in the ceremony room was done, right down to the floral spray for the candles, which was a lovely surprise when we went the day before our wedding to check things over, with bouquets in hand to make one. Those flowers filled my flower girl bouquets instead. Carlo, their driver of their car, who came to collect me (Alan said it would be the first time they needed to take a ferry to collect a bride), was amazing. He had myself, my son who was giving me away and my daughter who was my chief bridesmaid(we travelled together) all very relaxed, so much so I was doing my daily wordle on my way over. No nerves to show. The wedding itself was a truly wonderful occasion. Every detail exact, as it should be. The food was divine, and so said all our guests, the wine was flowing, the entire staff were out on their own, pure perfection, nothing was too much for any of them. Sile was on hand with safety pins when I had a mild dress malfunction. The rooms were perfect on the night, and all that excellent treatment was just the same the following they. They even had everything packed up, ready for us to take. Hand on my heart we can not sell the Kenmare Bay Hotel enough, our day was perfect, we had the most wonderful experience and delightful day in The Kenmare Bay Hotel.

We can not thank all the staff that worked this weekend enough from the reception, bar, cleaning, waiters throughout everyone was brilliant and so friendly. Shout out especially to Dave (Hozier as we called him) and Sam (George Ezra) the bar staff on the evening they were great fun.

The amount of people who have been in contact since we left saying how amazing all the staff were to them and the food!!!
Where to even start, out of this world.
The hake was the best hake they've ever had, this was commented on by so many people. I don't even eat fish and I had it and can't wait to come back for more.
The beef was perfect according to those who had it. One of my friends said "it was the nicest meal she's ever had". Even people commented on how good the potatoes and vegetables were. Not 1 single complaint was heard. The food was so delicious and I had some serious foodies at the wedding who gave it a 5 star rating.

I would highly recommend Kenmare Bay Hotel for a wedding and would love to relive my day again.

I would recommend the Kenmare Bay to anyone and will return there many times as every time I go there the service is tip top class. Alan had everything running so smoothly he was on top of everything and I had not heard one bad word about the food from any of our guests and usually when you go to a wedding there is always some complaints from someone, it says alot about the hotel. It's just a spotless clean friendly atmosphere to be in and even the location is great if you want to head into town plus all my family loved the houses, when you have a big family it was a lot easier for them and they were very good and accommodating to my brother and his family who switched from two hotel rooms to a house/villa not sure what they are called but not a lot of places would do this for people. The package was just fantastic we were very satisfied with how well we were looked after. The prices for such high quality was very satisfying and the honeymoon suite was unique, the dance floor was full all night and it's a night I or my wife will never forget. The Kenmare Bay is well justified in being nominated for this award and its staff should be proud as they are all such lovely people in my view and anything that was needed there was no problem, they were there to help. I wish them the best of luck with this award and will look forward to returning for another great night there. they were always very happy to discuss our concerns and put our minds at ease and keep us up to date with new rules and regulations.
Although our wedding numbers reduced massively due to the government guidelines at the time, the staff at the Kenmare Bay were always extremely accommodating and reassuring.
They couldn’t have done more for us and this resulted in a seamless day.
All of the guests were extremely impressed with the food and service and on the day, as were we.
We couldn’t recommend the Kenmare Bay enough.
We have since been back for our 1 year anniversary and the staff were just as welcoming and accommodating for this.

task. They were able to answer all of our questions and concerns quickly and completely. From bands and DJ's to wedding cakes they had recommendations for everything. The hotel was clean with nice modern rooms and the holidays homes were a nice thing to have for bigger families. The restaurant and bar were great and many meals and pints were enjoyed.
The day before the wedding Alan and Sile were there to show us the ceremony, pre reception, and reception locations and answer any questions. They ran through the timeline and were accommodating to any request we had. On the wedding day Alan was available first thing in the morning working with his team to setup the spaces and make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. When it came time for the ceremony Alan made sure all of our guests were seated and the music was ready to go. After the ceremony the hotel had a beautiful chauffeured car available for us to head wherever we wanted to take pictures. Our chauffeur Carlo was unbelievably attentive with champagne waiting for us and refilled the second we were finished with the glass. He knew all of the locations we wanted to go and got us to our destinations safe and sound. Upon our return to the hotel, Alan had all of our guests lined up at the hotel entrance as we entered via red carpet. It was an unbelievable entrance as newly weds and something we will never forget. The pre reception was great and gave us plenty of time to mingle before the dinner call. Dinner itself was absolutely delicious. The staff was attentive to all of our guests needs, the service was phenomenal. Overall we cannot recommend the Kenmare Bay Hotel enough, it exceeded our expectations!

Alan was also so helpful in recommending suppliers when I was having trouble sourcing what I wanted (also highly recommend the Torc irish dancers, they made the evening!). I was concerned about having the band start as early as possible so people weren't waiting too long after the dinner and the team had the day flowing with military precision so there was no lull in the day where people lost their momentum. All in all I couldn't recommend them enough.

The staff are the friendliest and most helpful!

When we visited for the wedding showcase, we were able to see the room all done up and we could picture what our day would be like!!
Hanneke the accommodations manager was unbelievable. I sent so many emails chopping and changing rooms for our families and nothing was ever a bother!

The day itself was the best of our lives. The whole team were on hand all day to help with everything and anything!!!
From breakfasts to delivering the lad's button holes. They really were incredible.
We had our ceremony in the hotel also and it went so smoothly. All our suppliers commented on how easy the hotel was to deal with!

When we went for our wedding party photos, we had use of the stunning car. Our driver hung around and joined in on the fun down the pier and in the town! He was a pleasure to deal with!
The food is just to die for! There were so many options to choose from when we did our menu tasting, it was hard to narrow it down but we went with steak and monkfish and everyone loved it!!!

All the waiting/bar staff were so efficient. Anything we needed was done for us.
The hotel had done up the toiletry baskets in the loos, which was great as it was one less thing to worry about. We brought our own wine and paid the corkage and the hotel was so honest about how many we actually drank. We brought way too much with us. But it was great to get back what was left as we could gift our wedding wine to family and friends.
All in all, our whole day went off without any stress or problems. I know for a fact we have Alan and the whole team at Kenmare Bay Hotel to thank for that!

We had compliments all-round from our guests; we've been to a few weddings recently and the food at the KBH is so far above the standard, we were delighted. The bar & table staff were friendly and enthusiastic throughout and it was easy for our band and DJ to get settled in.

For what we got, the price was fantastic and we were given so many complimentary goodies, we lost track of them all! We were delighted with the level of service that we received throughout. Special thanks in particular to Alan, who is a star. We couldn't recommend this venue enough.

with Kenmare Bay since late 2019 early 2020. From start to finish, they were absolutely excellent, from our wedding coordinators to all the staff to the rooms reservation manager. They accommodated us 100% in all our swapping and changing dates, gave us time to adjust and think, and always kept in contact if we hadn't contacted them. At the height of the restrictions, they always kept us in the loop of new announcements from the government. As our wedding got closer, we were dealing with Alan Donnery. We could not say enough or recommend him highly enough to any future couples who are looking for a fabulous wedding day from start to finish, stress-free. In the weeks coming up to our wedding day, there wasn't a day that Alan didn't contact us to make sure everything was running smoothly. I could have depended on Alan from early morning to late and night. He was absolutely incredible. He was also brilliant in helping us to find suppliers, that we were unable to find due to the restrictions. He offered his services to Tom and I in every way.

We were in absolute awe with the wedding car they provided us with. It was amazing, from luxurious comfort to led lighting to a bottle of Champagne and nibbles. The driver was so kind, friendly and caring to me ( The Bride) as the weather was shocking. He looked after me in the best way possible and was beyond considerate. Tom and I got a massive welcome from the staff when we arrived as a married couple. It was mind-blowing. To see how the ballroom was set out melted our hearts. The meal was 100% amazing. Our guests had so many good things to say about the hotel. We would recommend Kenmare Bay Hotel to any future brides and grooms.

We had a civil ceremony in the main room and they had it done fantastically. I had 220 guests, and the room was so spacious and overlooked the mountains. The reception in the restaurant was fantastic. All my guests were well looked after with canapes and drinks. The staff made sure they looked after everyone and their preferences. In the afternoon they transformed the room for dinner/dancing. The food was amazing, I had a few gluten-free and vegetarians and they said the meals they were offered were the nicest food they ever had! Every course was spot on and the choices were amazing. They still go on about it today, 2 years later. They looked after the whole day from the day before till the day we checked out. A lot of our guests were never in Kenmare and they are all returning down for weekends because of the welcoming they got from all. I highly recommend this wedding venue. We set off on our wedding day with our driver, Carlo (the chauffeur from Cork to Kenmare was included in our wedding package) who was just outstanding. Carlo even held an umbrella for me as it rained when heading to the church. He was such a gent. He had great conversation in the car with us, and gave us lovely Prosecco too.
Alan was outstanding on the day. Any task we had asked him to do was done exactly as we asked. Alan has a way of keeping the day calm and chilled, and wants the Bride and Groom to relax and enjoy. He had everything under control. The food was outstanding, from the pre-reception to the main meal and everyone was well fed.
We were still in restrictions, with time limits and number limits, but Alan and his team honestly made the day feel as normal as possible for us all. All of our guests still talk about what a great day we all had. We have photos, videos and our fond memories of our wedding day at Kenmare Bay Hotel. We would highly recommend the hotel to any future bride and groom.

in the very capable hands of Alan, who I cannot commend highly enough. Alan is a true professional, and we had utter confidence in him from the very beginning. The first day we went on a tour of the venue with Alan, he painted such a vivid picture of what our wedding day would look like. He talked us through the whole day, from the arrival of the hotel car at my house, right through to the champagne breakfast the morning after the wedding. Alan’s description of the day had us bubbling with excitement, and we were sure we had chosen the right venue.
In the lead up to the wedding Alan was on hand, at the end of the phone or through email to give advice on everything from menus to music to table plans. No task was too big, and no question too small. He was easily contactable, and very reassuring as we tried to plan our wedding in the midst of covid restrictions. He even managed to find us a wedding DJ, two weeks before the big day. His infectious energy got the crowd going, as he acted as MC for us. On the day of our wedding, one of our guests actually sought us out just to tell us how amazing Alan was.
Kenmare Bay Hotel supplied a wedding car and a driver as part of their wedding package. On the morning of the wedding, I was met by Carlo, the driver. Carlo is an absolute gentleman, and such a calming influence. He went above and beyond the call of duty, even helping to hoist the bride over a wall for part of the photoshoot.
The food in the Kenmare Bay is renowned for being top class, and our wedding meal was no exception. The food was absolutely delicious, and so many of our guests commented on how good it was on the day, with the lamb being the star of the show. The service was wonderful, and we were so happy that our guests had such a great experience.
A final mention must go to Hanneke, the accommodation manager. Hanneke works quietly and tirelessly in the background, and what a job she does! She is professional and kind, and every request made was sorted immediately, with no fuss or hassle. My endless emails trying to sort out rooms for our guests never phased her. She is a true star.
The Kenmare Bay is an outstanding venue for a wedding. Our day was magical, from start to finish, and our guests had a fantastic time. No one wanted to leave the day after the wedding, and we are looking forward to going back again soon. We had the wedding of our dreams and it was all thanks to the wonderful staff and the amazing venue. Thank you so much to Alan, Síle, Hanneke, Carlo and all the staff at Kenmare Bay.

the view from the hotel is truly spectacular. The floor to the ceiling windows in the room where we were married and had our meal boasted a breathtaking view of the nearby mountain. We decided to have our wedding photos taken at Lady's View which is about 15 minutes away from the hotel. We came home with some spectacular shots.

The staff are incredibly friendly and they go out of their way to assist no matter what you need. Receptionists Eileen and Marissa were particularly kind and helpful. Alan, the wedding manager, was an absolute champ. He brought us through every detail of the wedding with care and allowed us to customise our experience to allow for a truly personal feel.

On the day itself, everything went incredibly smoothly thanks to Alan's meticulous planning and his awareness of where people needed to be and his dedication to getting them there. We felt safe and supported in his capable hands. It was apparent that he spent a considerable amount of time familiarising himself with every detail of the wedding.

The meal was incredible and worked out at only €50 per plate despite it being 4 courses and the wine was delicious. The hotel had worked closely with us to design the optimal menu by allowing us to stay a night free of charge, two months prior to the wedding in order to taste the various courses that we could choose.

Alan was very supportive of all of our whacky ideas and even allowed us to have a performer do a juggling/balancing/magic/escapology act in the pre-reception room, then a fire show in the car park just outside the main reception which the staff had specially cordoned off. They also decorated the room impeccably and utilized all of our personal decorations that we had brought for the day, arranging them beautifully.

The bar staff were on the button, no one seemed to be waiting too long for service and the prices were reasonable enough. Even though they were not allowed to continue serving after 11.30 pm due to covid, they allowed us to remain in the reception room with the heap of drinks we had bought just prior to last orders, until the party naturally petered out at 4.30 in the morning.

The honeymoon suite was lovely and opened up into a decent sized dining hall/living room, which allowed us to host the family the night after the wedding. The staff even scattered petals on the bed on the night of the wedding which was a thoughtful touch.

The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room were all heavily utilized to deal with the wedding stress, and thus very much appreciated. They also have what appeared to be a well-equipped gym and offer spa treatments, of which many of our guests availed.

In sum, The Kenmare Bay Hotel is a phenomenal location to get married. I would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone. We had the wedding of our dreams and at an incredibly reasonable price. They're considerably cheaper than all of the other wedding locations we looked into. Alan made us feel like royalty, adapted everything to suit our needs, and provided us with the most wonderfully magical day we could have hoped for. I would like to thank him and all of the staff who did such a great job of making our dreams a reality.

Planning a wedding during the uncertainty of Covid was stressful and daunting at times as we feared the day wouldn't be as enjoyable for our guests and for ourselves. We thought it wouldn't feel like a real wedding …

- how wrong we were!

We celebrated our day with 50 of our nearest and dearest and what a day we had! The level of care and attention to detail was beyond our expectations.

The food was simply stunning, we chose monkfish and fillet steak for our main courses and our Guests were still telling us how much they loved their meals the next day. We had previously heard about how good the food was at the Kenmare Bay but it definitely exceeded our expectations!

The bridal party stayed in the holiday lodges the night before the wedding and what I can only describe as a 5* star breakfast banquet was wheeled in the door to us the morning of the wedding. Once we were ready to head across to the hotel for the ceremony, the wedding car, also provided by the hotel, was waiting for us outside - the perfect start to a perfect day!

Finally I have to mention wedding coordinator Alan Donnery. He mentioned to us if there was anything we needed to just ask. However we didn't need to ask for anything, Alan was steps ahead from start to finish ensuring everything ran seamlessly. Both of our families remarked on the level of care, genuine kindness and professionalism shown to us by Alan. A true asset to any couple getting married!

I can honestly say from start to finish we, along with our guests, had the most memorable, enjoyable day and are beyond grateful to Alan and the Kenmare Bay team.

there when needed, she is a fountain of knowledge. Which was a welcome while trying to organise a wedding with a new born baby. Nothing was too big a task.
On our wedding week, Sile was a constant support. Again, In the back ground yet always at the other end of the phone if needs be. She was so helpful re: table plans, arrangements, music etc.. defiantly the type of person you need around you on a week of constant running and racing, it was so comforting to know all the details at the hotel were being taken care of by Sile who’s attention to detail was 100%

On the day, we had the most wonderful driver Carlo, supplied by the hotel. From the minute we met Carlo we were so comfortable with him. As was our baby girl who took a liking to Carlo straight away and spent majority her time between family members and Carlo until we arrived at the hotel. Which although far above his call of duty, Carlo was happy to oblige. We couldn’t have had a better man around us on the day. Professional, yet friendly, funny and all round a lovely person to share our first few hours as man and wife with.

When we arrived at the hotel we met Tom. We had never met Tom up to this stage, Tom who had filled the position of co-ordinating the wedding on the day for many years and was now working in a different part of the hotel, but was filling in for holiday leave the day of our wedding. Despite having never actually met Tom before, he knew everything there was to know about us as if we’d been in touch the entire time. Professional, friendly and all round fantastic at this job, attributes all staff in the Kenmare Bay hold. Tom delivered 110% on the day also.

From the first email we sent to the last word we had with the girls at reception. I can not recommend the Kenmare bay highly enough. Location, staff, food, accommodation, cleanliness, family friendly. Our in-house babysitter Mary. Everyone was incredible.

I have decided to take a little time out of my day to post my views. As a Kerry native who found her prince in Tyrone it was never my initial intention to get married in Kerry. But by gosh am I thankful that I did and more thankful for choosing The Kenmare Bay …

Hotel. From our very first meeting to the days after our wedding the management, staff and hotel could not have done more. Their professionalism, attitudes and customer service are first class. They truly dedicate themselves to you, you feel like your wedding is the only one that matters. Now as an OCD candidate they dealt with my every request with positivism and acceptance which to me meant a great deal.

On the day itself everything went like clockwork. I have received the most amazing compliments from family and friends regards the venue, food and accommodation. We ourselves stayed both in the Lodges and the hotel. I personally could not have asked for more. What you would expect from a well run hotel you get, comfort, cleanliness and style. It was like a home away from home. All our guests felt very comfortable and relaxed. This made us as a couple relaxed.

Punctuality and service were top class on the day, nothing was too much trouble. We had so many compliments that it would be hard not to mention the food and how delicious it was. A true testament of any hotel catering for weddings is their ability to deliver top quality food for large numbers. This you really do get from The Kenmare Bay Hotel.

It was a magical day from beginning to end but it was a day that part of the magic was delivered by The Kenmare Bay Hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel as wedding venue. I promise you won't be disappointed and what is great outside of all these positives is the price. There will be something to suit all budgets.

Hanneke was immensely helpful when we were booking accommodation for our bridal party, she went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests, even when they were changed a few times!!

Our guests were treated to a beautiful meal that everyone enjoyed, not one complaint out of 280 guests, that just says it all!

All the rooms we booked were clean and comfortable, the staff were excellent from the waiting staff to the bar staff to the receptionists.
We look forward to returning for our Anniversay meal next February.

tasting with Tom. In the lead up to our big day, there was always someone to sort out the little glitches. As a result, our day ran really smoothly from the moment Mossie arrived with the complimentary wedding car.
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. The efficient and professional staff contributed to a lovely atmosphere for our guests. The bridal suite was fabulous and spacious and we got to stay in the same room on our second night. There was plenty of accommodation choices for our guests and all the hotel areas were spotlessly clean. Hotel location is excellent with a quiet walkway that gets you to the town center in less than 10 mins. There is also a Leisure Centre which has a decent size swimming pool with friendly and helpful staff.
We were treated so well that we would love to do it all over again :)
And we would highly recommend the Kenmare Bay Hotel to any bride and groom looking for an exceptional wedding venue.

My husband and I had such an amazing experience I would love to help others choose the same. We are from the States and decided to get married in my husband's families hometown. It was an exciting and nerve-racking decision. We wouldn't be able to pop by whenever we needed or make a quick phone call …

everything would need to be planned over email, but all of our reservations went away once we spoke to Sile. She was so incredibly accommodating upon our visit we knew we made the right choice in our Kenmare venue.
As we planned our wedding from another country all of our questions and requests were answered promptly even with the distance and time difference. Eventually we worked with much of the staff booking rooms for our friends and family, deciding on food, and much much more.
I will especially mention an issue with the church just one week before the wedding, when I emailed Sile (in a major panic) to say I wasn't sure if we could be married in the church is there any way we could do both the ceremony and the reception in the hotel. She said it was no problem at all they would do whatever they could to help us. While the church worked out last minute they were ready to jump into to action in case it didn't. Additionally, we had a few guests show up to the wedding (in another country) that we had no idea were attending, again last minute they were able to fix our tables and add some with no trouble at all. Sile, Tom, and the entire wedding team at KBH were so helpful, calm, and organized I could not have asked for anything else. Aside from the venue itself I will tell you every one of our hundred plus guests, to this day months later, still talk about the food. I was so happy I was able to eat all courses because it is the best food in Ireland hands down. And while we may not be from Ireland me and my husband travel there at least once a year and I've never had a better meal than at KBH.
We have no regrets everyone and everything was great and we definitely recommend it!

Reservations manager was so easy to deal with, sorted out all our bookings as there was a lot of the wedding party stay down the night before.
Tom the Wedding coordinator was AMAZING, we meet him for the tasting menu and he went through everything with us and made it so easy from the moment we arrive. Tom also personally delivered breakfast to our house while we were getting ready the morning of the wedding and he was always nearby through out the day.
The food was ten out of ten, everything amazing and the staff so nice.

difference, while pregnant and with a 1 year old is by far not the easiest thing to do, but Sile and the team and Kenmare made things so much easier for me!

Our day was amazing, everything we could have wanted and more! We spent the weekend there with family and friends who all enjoyed themselves. Sile was amazing right from the start answering any question I had and offering so much advice, which was fantastic for someone like me who didn't have a clue where to start!

Everything on the day was perfect, from the cooked breakfast delivered to our house/room, Carlo the wonderful chauffeur, the red carpet at the door, the decorations of the place, the music, the food, the wine, the waitresses/waiters, the barmen, there is absolutely nothing I can fault.

On the day, and the lead up to the day, Tom was amazing, made sure everything was coming along as we planned, and made sure the day ran smoothly for us without any hiccups. I am so glad we chose to have our wedding at Kenmare Bay Hotel, and would recommend it to anyone!

We especially want to thank Sile Tom and Alan their experience, professionalism, level of service and friendliness was second to none. Everything ran like clockwork on the day from the drinks reception, to the meal, to the dancing and the breakfast the next day. Even when Darragh and I were a little late arriving to the reception no issues were made and we were made feel like the King and Queen of the day.
The food was amazing, from the sandwiches and canapés in the drinks reception to the top class meal (with plenty Beef which is always good when you have married a beef farmer) to the evening reception and the late night sandwiches. No one had a bad word to say about the food the service was so fast and no one was left hungry. The hotel itself is so clean, modern and beautiful we loved it.

the snow the driver was unable to get to work that morning, this was handled without us ever having to worry, Alan himself drove the wedding car, he ensured that we were warm and dry until we got to the hotel at one point we weren't sure if our band were going to make it from Cork..this again was sorted by Alan making a few phone calls to have a back up ready to go if required. Due to the weather we had some guests that were unable to travel, this was all taken into account and those guests were refunded and we were not charged anything extra. The food and service was exceptional. Overall a very positive experience on a day we will never forget!

itself is unrivaled. The bar and drinks reception area is bright comfortable and very modern. The wedding team at the Kenmare Bay worked with us to design a drinks reception package suitable for our guests and budget and nothing was too much trouble. The function room is, spacious and tastefully decorated. There was more than ample space to hold our crowd of 260 guests. The food was simply out of this world and we received many compliments from our guests afterwards about the wonderful wedding meal. Service ran seamlessly, the food was served piping hot and the Kenmare Bay Hotel are more than generous with their portions.

I would like to especially mention the Wedding Manager Sile Browne. Sile was side by side with us through the whole wedding planning process; she offered invaluable advice and was always more than generous with her time and expertise. Sile really went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our wedding day was all we had imagined it would be and more. Thank you Sile.

was very easy and straightforward. It really was a “push button” process, we knew after booking the hotel, that part of the wedding preparation was taken care of and didn’t have to worry about it. They accommodated us for everything that we asked of them and really went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was perfect. We didn’t have to worry about anything on the day, which allowed us to really relax and enjoy our day. Tom made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. He even catered to our very last minute requests on the day too! A gentleman to deal with. Mossy the wedding car driver made me feel at ease on the way to the church as he is so easygoing and relaxed. Hanneke in reservations made sure all the bedrooms were allocated to our family and friends perfectly.
All our guests are still talking about how fabulous the meal was and how the service to each table was superb.

We would highly recommend the Kenmare Bay hotel as a wedding venue for everybody. The wedding package was very reasonably priced, the meal was delicious and served very quickly, the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The bedrooms were so clean and comfortable. In addition, it was lovely to relax in the leisure center the following day too.
We will always cherish the memories we have of our wedding at the Kenmare Bay hotel and we are already looking forward to our complimentary stay for our 1 year anniversary next year!

We met with Tom, and were made to feel at ease from the onset, he is a great guy and absolutely phenomenal at his job. Both he and Sile were so helpful and were easily contactable by email or phone and we were never left waiting for a reply- nothing was too much for them. We had a small intimate wedding of 75 people, we will forever be grateful for the wonderful personalised experience created at Kenmare Bay Hotel.

We had a complimentary nights stay in the hotel when we were doing our food tasting in May of this year, (the food is absolutely divine- our guests are still talking about how good it was). On the day itself the hotel provided the wedding car to collect my parents and me and take us to the church (Dawros Church) Mossy, the driver is a gentleman and I felt like royalty. Despite there being rain on our day it didn't affect a thing, in fact the rainbow that appeared over the sky that could be seen from the window of the hotel made it all the more special. The tables were set up to perfection, we opted for a circular top table and Tom was on hand to assist with any of the seating arrangements, there is so much attention to detail.

Go raibh míle míle maith agaibh, you turned our dreams into reality and left us with the most magical memories of the best day of our lives.

We could not recommend Kenmare Bay hotel higher, if you want a stunning wedding, in a divine location- the Kingdom of Ciarraí, with Tom and Síle making your day stress free, then this is the venue for you. Enjoy every second ,as it will be over in the blink of an eye. xxxxx

ever an issue. Communication with the hotel was outstanding, and the welcome we received every time we visited was so warm and welcoming. On the day of our wedding, the pre-reception was complemented by so many of our guests and the food was just unbelievable and plentiful. And as people kept telling us the food has to be good and Kenmare Bay definitely delivered. It also has to be noted that the staff we met on our wedding day were amazing. They were extremely accommodating (even getting my niece a teddy to help her sleep) and so warm and friendly to all our guests. The atmosphere was just so nice, everyone had a great day and because of this my new husband and I could relax and enjoy the best day of our lives. The small touches of the hotel also added a special touch to our day. The beautiful new Mercedes driven by the friendly Mossie, the new Chiavari chairs, the pamper baskets and the digital menus all added to make our wedding that something special. I cannot thank Sile, Tom, and Alan enough for all they did for us.

with Alan who showed us around and sat with us for over an hour going through everything. We immediately fell in love with the place! It was exactly what we were looking for, a beautiful room in a beautiful setting with delicious food and amazing staff...at an affordable price! We were able to bring our own beer for the drinks reception and wine for the meal which helped us cut costs also! We booked our day right away! Throughout our year long engagement Sile was our point of contact and I cannot highlight how amazing she is!! She helped me so much and calmed me when I needed reassurance! She was always contactable and always super friendly! In January 2018 we found out we were expecting our first baby ???? Sile was actually one of the first people we told as I was nervous about being 20 weeks pregnant on our wedding day, and she was so supportive I can’t even begin to tell you! We had our menu tasting in February and brought my parents along for the treat, the four of us were in food comas by the end of it!! The food, amazing!!! Throughout the year every time we stayed in the hotel the service was better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in! Hanneke was superb in managing our guests bookings and extremely helpful! Cut to the big day....Mossy (driver of the car the hotel provides included in our package) drove up to Cork to pick my Dad & I up from my parents home and bring us to the church! He then brought my husband (live saying that!) and I from Cork to Kenmare. There was a bottle of prosecco (for the hubby) and sandwiches for us in the car for our journey and we stopped off in the park he recommended for photos which was a hidden gem! Stunning photos!! What can I say about Mossy, he is a true gentleman and made our day even more special! We arrived at the hotel and Tom greeted us on the red carpet with more bubbly and a welcoming smile! The energy that man has is amazing, from the moment we arrived until we left 2 days later he was a constant happy helpful presence! We met our guests at the drinks reception an there was a great buzz around the place everyone was having a great time which we were thrilled to see! Dinner bell rang and we were introduced by our best man as Mr & Mrs Lynch for the first time, what an entrance it was so much fun!! I had asked Sile to put name cards on the top table so people knew where to go and on my one she had written “Naomi” and inside it she wrote “& bump!” I just thought that was such a sweet and thoughtful personal touch! The meal was amazing and the service was truly on point! After the meal we had our speeches which were hilarious and then the band started! Sandwiches and finger food came out at 11 & we saved some of the sandwiches until 2.30 after the dj! Everyone had an amazing night! The residents bar stayed open until whenever we wanted! The next morning we had breakfast in our gorgeous bridal suite delivered by the smiley Tom himself! We had our second day in Kenmare town and had a blast! Checkout was bitter sweet as it was all coming to an end but Tom was there to wish us well on our new journey and Sile sent us a lovely message! I just honestly can’t recommend them enough, all of the personal touches and gestures really made our day/weekend amazing! 3 weeks later our guests are still contacting us telling us that it was the best wedding they had been to and they were so impressed with the venue! I had a good few extras that some hotels might find complicated but it was no problem and they were able to accommodate all our requests without hesitation. Mossie our driver provided by the hotel was amazing, so patient and helpful throughout the day. The drinks reception was so fabulous and our guests are still talking about it along with the superb meal the hotel provided on the day. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. Tom really impressed us how well he was able to delegate his staff and make sure everything ran like clockwork. We were on the dancefloor by 9pm and we had the best night of our lives. We would highly recommend the Kenmare Bay Hotel to any couple thinking of having their wedding at the hotel. We just wish we could do it all over again.

We had a civil ceremony in the main reception room, which Tom co ordinated to perfection from the decor, room layout & controlling the guests. I had such high expectations from such a well reviewed hotel and it is safe to say they surpassed all our expectations. The food & service were simply stunning and our guests are still talking about it.

From our initial consultation with Alan our Wedding Consultant, we knew our day was in good hands. Nothing was a problem! He was so accommodating of our needs. Tom, the Wedding Coordinator is absolutely amazing. He could organise a wedding in a day and build Rome while he's at it! And how he does it and doesn't stress is beyond me. Of course good leadership would be nothing without a good team so acknowledgement must be paid to Helen and the restaurant staff who were brilliant. The chef and kitchen staff must definitely be the best in Ireland. The food it just amazing. Try the fillet of beef, vol au vont, black pudding... the list goes on. Just sensational! And of course not forgetting Mossie the chauffeur who took brilliant care of us all day... by even bringing us sandwiches and prosecco for the photo shoot... a nice touch! And always ready to share the joke or hold the umbrella... a very patient man! Hanneke in Reservations was also always very helpful and accommodating to our needs. She was able to change around rooms to accommodate individual needs and nothing was an issue. She was also incredibly prompt with her email replies! We had a delicious food tasting and the atmosphere in the hotel was warm, friendly and welcoming. We met Tom afterwards and he put us at ease going through all the finer details. In the days leading up to the wedding the hotel staff assisted with setting up and offering a helping hand especially Edel in reception. We got time the evening before to put in little personal touches. A bit of a mad notion to get a cake stand made by a family member turned into an attempt to lift a tree trunk and again Tom came to the rescue. The hotel really did make our job alot easier and saved us time and stress with their support.
The wet weather didn't put a damper on our day as we got chauffeured around by Mossy and the atmosphere buzzed with plenty of space for our guests in the drinks reception. The room looked breathtaking and during the speeches a surprise audio clip was played. The party continued into the early hours. With over 250 guests, people were in awe of the quality of the food. There was a few mentions the next day about the fillet of beef, champ and someone eating half a bowl of gratin.
It was lovely to be home in Kenmare in a perfect venue we would recommend to any couple who wishes to get married in the beautiful picturesque town nesled between the mountains in Co. Kerry.

We had our final meeting the week before the wedding, after our tasting and left with a great sense of ease that everything was under control. The night before the wedding we dropped off the wedding cake, sweets and treats, favours, photos, decorations you name it and they had them all set perfectly before we arrived from the Church.
On the day itself everything ran smoothly (even though the All Ireland replay match that was neck on neck and had the crowd captivated so we had to delay the meal at the last minute. Again, the team showed how easily they could adapt to unexpected circumstances on the day). The meal was superb, we could not find fault with it, much to our relief as we had lots of food lovers among us! Tom was our main contact for the day and looked after us very well and kept in contact with us throughout the day without being intrusive.
The fish and chips at the band interval were a big hit after a few drinks! We danced the night away until the early hours.
All staff were well presented and polite to us and our guests. There was plenty of accommodation options for our guests and many opted for houses as they had family travelling with them, hotel rooms were also available.
There were also lots of lovely little surprises for the Bride and Groom on the day to make it even more special – I won’t ruin the surprise for future Brides & Grooms by detailing those here. I will say they added that extra touch by going that extra mile.
If you are thinking of booking your wedding here, rest assured your stress levels will be dropped in half as they take all the hard work and worry out of the planning. They have your day under control. They are the experts, trust their advice on what works and just spend your energy on enjoying the lead up to your big day and not worrying about your venue and meal choices!

of the hotels in our area and, on the high recommendation of family and friends who had previously attended weddings in the hotel, we decided to meet with the wedding team in the Kenmare Bay hotel.
From the very moment we entered the hotel to discuss our wedding plans, we both knew this was the venue for us to have our special day.
We were greeted so warmly and friendly and really made to feel that our wedding day would be as important to the wedding team in the Kenmare Bay, as it was to us, and our families.
This never changed right throughout the planning of the wedding and the wedding team were only ever a phone call away to help and guide us with wedding menus/wedding lists/seating etc. This being the case right up to the morning of the wedding.
When it eventually came to our wedding day, my husband and I had no problem relaxing and enjoying the day from start to finish, knowing that we, and especially our guests, were in good hands.
The food and drink were exceptional and having a good Irish wedding!!!!These were high on our priority list and we were certainly not let down. It really was such an enjoyable special day and we were so glad that the Kenmare Bay hotel was our venue of choice and will hold such happy memories from the day there for many a year to come!

The staff there were interested in hearing our ideas and creating the perfect day for us, with many options available to personalise every element to our own tastes. They were in charge of all the decoration of the venue and also the sweet car, we did not have to worry about those little things that take a lot of time when you are planning a wedding.
The food was amazing and the attention to detail by the staff was also exceptional. All the staff were extremely friendly.
The rooms for the guest were perfect, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorate, we could not ask for more.

Before hand their organisation and dedication to us as the bride and groom meant that everything was perfectly in place when we arrived and the guests were well settled in. The journey to the hotel was made extra special thanks to their wonderful driver who was so kind and obliging.
We were blown away by the beautiful layout of the dining hall, it was everything we had expected and more. The dinner bell was punctual and the service was excellent with a piping hot and delicious meal served up to us by very welcoming and friendly staff.

The day of the wedding Munster were playing the semi final of the Heineken cup it was on BT only which had to be got by the hotel. I rang Tom when i heard it within an hour he contacted me to say he had arranged it would be shown on the two televisions during the drinks reception I was delighted to hear it and our guests were delighted as they got to check into the hotel and enjoy watching the game having a few drinks before the meal.

The Meal was absolutely delicious so well done to the kitchen staff our loads of our guests kept saying it was one of the BEST WEDDING MEALS they had ever eaten.

I have no hesitation in recommending the Kenmare Bay hotel for a wedding or any social events people have. They are a absolutely fantastic bunch to deal with. Keep up the good work ye are doing as its working. My guests are still craving about the venue itself and the fantastic food they had.

right from the start they could not have been more helpful. As both of our families had a distance to travel we wanted to make it more of a wedding weekend rather then just one day and from when we first sat down with Sile she could not have done more to help us achieve this. The options of the houses, lodges and hotel rooms were great and allowed all guests to find what suited them.(The houses/lodges were a big hit with our guests)

A lot of our family arrived the evening before the wedding and all the staff were brilliant from that point on. That's where Tom came to the fore, ensuring all our guests were settled in and made feel right at home.

Our ceremony took place in the hotel and from first thing that morning it was great to see all our plans come into play. It rained all day long and the hotel staff were very quick to help us find the best areas for photos and to get us all to and from the houses for the ceremony. Tom was just brilliant on the day, in particular when he escorted the late arriving mother of the bride to her chair at the top of the room it was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. When it came to the meal itself we knew the Kenmare Bay had a great reputation for food, but our meal on the day exceeded all expectations and our guests were raving about it for weeks after. The transition from meal to after party was seamless and that trend continued for the rest of the evening.

We couldn't be happier with how the weekend went, in particular the day itself, and would really like to thank the Kenmare Bay for making it as special as it was.

The hotel is within walking distance of kenmare town which made it easy for guest to venture into at their ease throughout the weekend

The day itself went like clockwork for us and the hotel staff/management played a huge part in making things run smoothly. We availed of the Hotels own wedding car, Mossie the chauffeur helped calm any nerves on the way to and from the church. All in all our experience was fantastic and we'd be more than happy to recommend this venue for anyone considering the Kenmare Bay Hotel.

The venue itself ticked every box for us and the hotel went down well with all our guests which speaks volumes for us. For anyone looking at a wedding venue in the Kenmare area they should give this venue some consideration and get in touch with Tom.

The build up to the wedding that can be such a stressful time for the bride and groom was made much easier because of the help of Tom. He gave us his personal mobile number and told us he was available at any time. Any query we had was answered promptly.

Joanne and I got married on the 20th of August 2016. We had arranged a meet and greet on the Friday night as most of our guests were travelling from Dublin. The hotel never seemed to be under pressure in the bar, restaurant or with the accommodation even though they had a wedding on the Friday aswell. On the day of the wedding we were able to get into the function room early so we could put our touches to it. Tom was there making sure the room was perfect. After the ceremony everything went like clockwork, Mossie the Chauffeur keeping an eye on the watch as the photographer did his job and had us back to the hotel in plenty of time for us to mingle with our guests before the meal.

We had had a super ceremony and the speeches that followed the meal were amazing but the meal put on by the chefs far outshone everything and was the talk and praise of the 130 guests that attended the wedding. There were 3 vegans at the wedding and each of them spoke very highly of the menu variety they were given. We had decided to have Tayto sandwiches as part of our afters food. It might seem like an odd request but it went down a dream and was available throughout the night.

A relation of mine asked me late in the evening how I found the day, I loved it all, to which he said, Your King and Queen for a day and everybody wants you. Tom and his staff did everything to assure we us of that and of our Thrones.

really liked him from the moment we met him, he was genuinely a nice person and wasn't in your face like a lot of other wedding coordinators we had met in other hotels. We knew from the moment we met him that we were in safe hands.

At the night of the tasting he was brilliant and when we told him we weren't fond of the fish he made other suggestions to us that weren't on the menu. He was so easy to deal with. I should not forget to mention Alan too who was excellent to deal with.

The night before the wedding Tom took me up to see the room. Even though I had seen the layout of the room before I just couldn't get over how amazing it looked. I was on cloud 9. The lodges were absolutely gorgeous and the breakfast that Tom provided us with on the morning of the wedding was fantastic.

The driver Mossy was lovely and his wife Helen was equally fabulous. Everyone we met at your hotel are fantastic workers and make you feel so special. You are very lucky to have such a high quality staff.

Everything on the wedding day was exceptional from the food, the staff and the accommodation. All our guests had nothing but positive things to say. Your hotel is exemplary and exceeds all possible hopes and expectations. I look forward to visiting many times in the future and hope to see the same lovely people there.

Hanneke took care of our accommodation requests so well, she was always available to answer calls or emails with any questions we had. On the wedding day we were greeted on the red carpet and brought to the dining room for a few moments of quiet to enjoy some canapés before the busy evening ahead. Tom also helped to direct out photographers towards the best areas for photographs. He really exceeded our expectations. The meal was stunning and much complimented. The wine was equally delicious and free flowing! The bar staff were attentive and didn't keep our thirsty guests waiting! The band were made to feel very welcome and set up the equipment easily and with no fuss thanks to the management. In the aftermath of the wedding, any items that had been lost were carefully stowed away for safekeeping until we were able to collect such items. Every detail was accounted for. We enjoyed our special day so much thanks to the brilliant team at the Kenmare Bay hotel. This along with the location, the hotel it quickly became our first choice! The Kenmare Bay was our first choice for our wedding day having been a guests of another wedding we we're able to review how our guests would feel very easily.
The food of the Kenmare Bay outstripped any rival nearby and the accommodation was able to host our numbers without thinking about shuttle …

buses or dispersed accommodation for guests.
The process of booking was easily started, the hotel staff (Síle and Tom) were readily available to discuss preliminary prices and a breakdown, the flow of the day, and schedules.
Their value was shown in their in depth wedding management experience and the care and concern for our booking despite having done it for many others.
The lead up to our wedding had plenty of questions from flowers, to table decoration, to band setup, to room layout, all configurations and thoughts on the individual minutia were carefully considered. Their experience allowed us to relax and become more at ease with our wedding planning and relieved any stress very early on.
The day itself was done on autopilot, we could see all our guest enjoyed themselves and the hotel was able to hit every detail perfectly accommodating for long speeches and late servings.
I would strongly recommend the Kenmare Bay for any wedding size, the room setting is beautiful and the location ideal for travel. The Kenmare Bay made the first day of our marriage all the better, when we look back and know we chose wisely.

Having been to my sister in laws wedding here back in 2013 we knew there was only one choice when coming to booking our own wedding in July 2015. about Tom... you kind of fall in love with him! Everything was so well organised and seemed to be no trouble at all. He was only a phone call away when I needed him. Hanneke was on the ball with reservations, constantly keeping us up to date and helping out all our guests.

Our wedding day itself was a very calm day, despite a few nerves. Mossy the chauffeur arrived early, he is a gem. We had great fun with him and he kept us fed and watered in the car during the photos!

We were blown away when we saw the function room on the day, Helen accounted for every attention to detail. The food was amazing, the staff were so attentive and it made the day so enjoyable for us. We sat back and enjoyed the whole day.

A lot of our guests are still commenting on the meal ( the wine also :) )

There are so many added extras that the Kenmare Bay provide - Ill leave these as a surprise to future couples. I would 100% recommend here for any couples thinking of booking and we look forward to staying there again.

From early morning on the day with the arrival of Mossie our chauffeur it was all go. He ensured a timely entrance at the Church and was ready to greet us again after the ceremony with light refreshments to keep hunger at bay. On arrival at the hotel Tom extended a warm welcome and Helen ensured our entrance as the new Mr and Mrs was perfect. The wedding feast was amazing. The food was delicious and we certainly were not left hungry. Service was efficient and all the serving staff were very friendly and helpful to all our guests. Both Tom and Helen ensured we were well looked after throughout the day and the following morning. The Kenmare Bay Hotel have an excellent rapport with excellent service providers; from Eugene Ferris, our photographer who provided amazing photos (and even assisted with the correct placing of button hole flowers), Patsy from Advanced Videos who ensured every moment was captured for us to treasure, Gary in O’Carroll’s Cakes who provided a master piece and delicious gluten free cake, and The Breen’s Band and DJ who ensured the dance floor was packed all night. We thoroughly enjoyed our special day - a day that goes by so quickly, yet a day that in the end we can treasure knowing that we have made truly special memories with the service of The Kenmare Bay Hotel & Resort.

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Kenmare Bay Hotel. From the start of our planning, every question and query we had was answered by Sile, Alan, Tom and Andrew. Nothing was too much to ask for (and I had a lot of requests).

meant that my family who were travelling could stay in the hotel/ houses, and my husband’s family were close enough to walk home at the end of the night. We chose to have the ceremony at the hotel at 4pm, which gave me the morning to relax and get ready without rushing. I stayed in one of the Luxury Lodges the night before and had plenty of space... which was ideal for the hair/ makeup artist to spread out, and for all my visitors popping in and out. And it meant I could escape upstairs when I started to get emotional!
After our ceremony we were able to go downstairs for our champagne and canapé reception and chat with our families and friends- no travelling from venue to venue. The weather wasn't great but it didn't affect us as we didn't have to leave the building. The function room is so well set up and having been to a number of weddings at the hotel myself, I knew that the food and service was superb so I didn't have to worry about anything from then on.
We have had so many compliments about our wedding day- a few people have even said it's the best wedding they have been to! We couldn't have managed without all the help and assistance from the Kenmare Bay. I would recommend it without a doubt. Thank you!

We had huge choice with regards to menu choice and all our guests complimented the quality of the food that we were served on the day. We got married the day of the worst storm last year and even with power outages in Kenmare, the day ran so smoothly and the staff were so professional that we didn't know any different until the following day!:)

The hotel provided our beautiful wedding car free of charge and we were chauffeured by the lovely Mossy Foley, who looked after our every need. He had the most delicious picnic for us for our journey that day and we were very glad of it!

Tom, the Manager, was a true gentleman and a complete professional on each occasion we met. He made our day run so seamlessly and added some really nice unexpected surprises for us. He offered great advice to us prior to the day which made us feel like we had nothing to worry about on our big day.

I would unreservedly recommend the Kenmare Bay Hotel to any couples considering getting married in Kerry. My only wish is to have the day all over again. Thanks to all the staff of the hotel for what was a truly memorable day.

moment he woke up all the staff made sure he was relaxed even when his best man had them running around getting stuff he needed and all the staff went above and beyond what there job entailed. After our service we had to go for our photo's and our driver was a legend had everything in a picnic basket for us and our bridal party. When we arrived at the hotel we were meet by Tom our excellent planner. He and his staff had the room the way we imaged it and the chef gave us an amazing meal and our glasses weren't let go empty. The whole day was magical and our bedroom had it all its own separate living room and kitchen and a super bedroom. The following day the staff kept on making our stay as comfortable as possible, giving us a champagne breakfast. We can't recommend the Kenmare Bay Hotel enough it's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. It's so good that my brother is getting married there in 2015 cause they loved it as much as we did. To some it up, it's like a luxury home away from home cause your made feel so welcomed and so relaxed. We will be back many times more.

initial enquiry right through to enjoying our sumptuous breakfast the morning after our big day, we could not fault this hotel in any way. Tom is simply a pleasure to deal with and was always available to take a call, be it for advice, to answer my questions or simply to offer some local knowledge. With our whole family descending to Kenmare the weekend of the wedding I was delighted with both the hotel accommodation and indeed the various lodges and houses we booked between us all. Excellent standard holiday homes, modern, super clean and just to short walk across from the main hotel. Hanneke in reservations was amazing and worked magic in sorting out everyone’s accommodation requirements! The rates for both the hotel and holiday homes were really reasonable too which also helped!
The day itself went so smooth and I didn't have to worry about one little detail at any stage. The welcome we received was just so warm and genuine. The food was fantastic (which is a great review coming from my husband who is a chef!) and all my guests enjoyed their meal thoroughly. Mossy even brought us to a beautiful park in Kenmare where we got the most beautiful photographs which we will cherish forever. The function room looked amazing on the day with beautiful centre pieces and cake stand. The two bars in the function room also meant that our guests did not have to queue for a drink.
The food was mouthwatering- from the canapés, to the meal, to the wonderfully presented fish and chips. A year on and guests are still talking about the wonderful meal they had in the Kenmare Bay!

incredibly helpful and just so friendly and relaxed he really put us at ease. We were starving on the journey from the church to the hotel and Mossy had a picnic basket for us with tea, sandwiches and champagne!.There were lots of nice little touches like this over our wedding weekend.
Tom was our main point of contact with the hotel and he was a complete professional in every aspect. Absolutely everything we requested was done from the table layout and room decor to the drinks reception and menu. Tom was always available to us in the build up to the wedding and he really impressed us with his care and attention towards us. Overall the staff at the hotel were really friendly and accommodating. The reason I got married there was because two good friends of mine got married there too and had nothing but positives to say about it.

From the moment we got engaged I had nowhere else in my mind for our wedding reception but the Kenmare Bay. I have been to many weddings there as a guest and could not fault it in any way. As the bride I also could not fault it. From the moment we started dealing with Tom and the team it all went …

so smoothly. Having to organise the wedding from Galway was a worry because of the distance but there was no need with Tom and gang being on call by phone and email at all times. And as my hubby said on the day there was never a "No" said to us about anything we wanted!!!!

The accommodation is absolutely fantastic with rooms at the hotel, houses and lodges at excellent reduced rates. This was very important to us as we had so many guests travelling and staying for the weekend. Tom also organised buses for the guests the morning of the wedding to bring them to the church and back to the hotel.

The function room was amazing on the day. It was a winter wonderland with the candelabras lighting on each table and the Christmas decorations sparkling. The food was just fantastic. We had a few guests with dietary requirements and this was looked after without fuss. The service by all staff from serving food to serving drinks at the bar was so efficient and ran without a hitch on the day and left the guests relaxed and able to enjoy the night.

The little touches that they do are so meaningful and something you can treasure always. I won't say what they are as they were such beautiful surprises to me I don't want to ruin it for others!!

Our guests were raving about the hotel - from the accommodation - to the food - to the staff - and so much more and after nearly a year on they still are!!! That just speaks for itself.

Our Wedding Day 28th December 2013 was the most magical day and a huge chuck of that is thanks to Tom and the Team at the Kenmare Bay Hotel.

We weren't able to get up for breakfast the day after the wedding but Tom arranged to have breakfast brought to our room. We were delighted. They accommodated both families and our friends in houses and holiday homes that they have on the grounds. It was great that everyone was so close and able to stay for a long weekend together and didn't have a long way to go in the early hours after the wedding. They also had free use of the leisure facilities.
The Kenmare Bay Hotel and it's staff really did accommodate our every need, anything we needed we got, anything we were worried about we were reassured it was okay and everything was done to the highest possible standards.

Mossie was at my house in plenty of time for the church and there was a lovely surprise in the car for us on the way down to the hotel after the church. When we landed at the hotel we were treated like royalty, we loved it!!! We got to sit on our own outside with a glass of bubbly while the guests orders were being taken, which was lovely and relaxing. The meal was fantastic and we couldn't have asked for better service, people are still talking about the quality of the food.
There was also a surprise for us when we got back to our room later that night.

Tom was always there to take a call from us or answer an email. Sile and Hanneke were great when it came to our guests booking accommodation. (Especially with my 2 sisters who had specific requirements)!!! Our night for menu tasting was made special by a lovely welcoming note and a treats left in our bedroom. The food was delicious and came with beautiful personalised menus.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding Tom was on hand to help with any last minute requests!! The day before the wedding, Gerard arrived down with a cake that was slightly damaged due to our lack of knowledge on how to ice a cake. The kitchen staff helped to make it presentable!!
Gerard also put an arch he had made himself up in the reception room. That's one thing we loved about this hotel. There was never a "No" said to us about anything we suggested :-)
The day itself was amazing. Poor Mossie had a long drive to my house. He was ready with umbrellas when it lashed out of the heavens. There was a lovely picnic basket in the car, and as the rain was so bad we actually ate it in the car. Cups of tea and all!! Mossie was great, so friendly and helped calm the nerves.
The red carpet was out for us and Tom at the door to welcome us with champagne. He guided us in and let us take time for photographs and have a few canapés.
He took us up to see the reception room. It was beautifully decorated with purple bows, purple lighting, candelabras and Lillies. Our favours were on each placemat along with a scroll we had made for each guest. The cakes looked stunning too!!
Here we met Helen. Helen was brilliant. She told us to take a moment to ourselves before the guests arrived in. She took the guest book for us and said she'd pass it around the tables.
We then met Alan. Alan was also brilliant, so friendly, helpful and professional. He told us he'd ring the bell for the guests to make their way into the reception room and he'd let us know then when we'd be called to make our grand entrance.
Throughout the night Tom, Alan and the rest of the staff were on hand to help in any way. We had an amazing wedding day and a fantastic weekend stay at Kenmare Bay Hotel.
We would definitely give it a 5 star for how well run the establishment is. For its cleanliness (we noted how often we saw staff cleaning, a definite thumbs up), for its food and above all for its staff. The staff really went above and beyond our expectations. They made our day extremely special!!!

From Mossie, the hotel Chauffeur, arriving to the house on the morning to leaving the hotel on Monday afternoon, the hotel could not do enough for us.
Both us and our guests were greeted with a warm welcome and extremely efficient staff to look after every need from drinks to rooms and everything in between. The service, food and accommodation was out of this world and Tom was on hand all day to ensure everything ran smoothly, which it did! A few extras in our room was such a lovely surprise and just made our day more special!
Some family stayed a second night and had an equally fantastic meal on Sunday night and lounged for the night in various comfy areas off reception!
We cannot say enough about the Kenmare Bay and the staff and will continue to recommend to anyone who will listen! Thank you all for making our day so perfect, 5/5 for everything!

chauffeured driven car which arrived in plenty of time on the morning of the wedding and the driver was very helpful and kind. On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by Tom. The meal was served on time and the food was second to none which prompted alot of our wedding guests to comment favourably afterwards. Everything ran very smoothly on the day, and a lot of our guests have commented on this.
I have to compliment Tom Meagher in particular. The food tasted absolutely amazing and was exactly the same as our menu tasting. I have heard many stories from couples where the food on the wedding day was not up to the standard of the menu tasting but I am glad to say that was definitely not the case with us.

The BBQ the night after the wedding went just as well as the wedding day itself. Even though we had more guests for the BBQ than I originally thought, the staff dealt with it excellently and there was more than enough food for everyone. Everybody was delighted with the music also.

All in all, I really can’t sing their praises enough. Mark and I were both absolutely delighted with the day that you gave us. All the staff did you very proud and they are the hotel's best advertisement.

arranging contact and meeting with Tom or Hanneke was always accommodated, even when we dropped in at short notice and took Tom away from his child's birthday party.

We won't spoil it but Tom and his staff have some nice surprises and little extras, that just add to the whole experience.

We had family staying in the holiday homes and they were delighted with the service they received, it was like home away from home, all their needs were catered for.

We believe that you could not get a better team of people Tom, Hanneke, Sile and staff or a nicer venue. They were excellent to deal with extremely professional and we were made to feel very special.

Small details mean so much and with Kenmare Bay there were lots - we got champagne in our room when we went for our tasting; a car was sent to collect me and take me to the church and then to take my husband and I to the reception; champagne and a picnic box were sent in the car; Tom was there to greet us on the red carpet, but he was also hard at work serving in the dining room during our meal; there was champagne, a card and a wedding photo of us in a silver engraved frame in the bridal suite; lights like a starry sky over the comfy bed................ I could keep going!!! If you're thinking about having a wedding in this hotel, think no more - just book it! You so won't regret it. We don't, and we can't wait to go back for our first anniversary dinner.

who were friendly,professional,courteous and very understanding. Every email and phone call were promptly answered and efficiently dealt with. We felt no request was too big or too small. Even last minute,night before and on the day, brideszilla wishes were granted with a smile and no problem attitude! Our guests booked their accommodation with ease and with so much choice-lodges and houses for large families and groups of friends. Fantastic room rates for doubles, triples and families! Those who made it a long weekend enjoyed your top class facilities. The pool was a big hit- one guest even swimming 4 times in one day! Nothing prepared us for the day itself though. It was magical. From Mossy the car driver(the great guy whose frinedly banter made me swallow my nervous and lonely tears on the drive to the church), to being greeted at the hotel which radiated a relaxed and confident atmosphere amongst its staff. Our guests indulged in canapés and sparkling wine-the foyer was bubbling with excitement and anticipation. The function room looked amazing-one guest reporting that upon climbing the stairs you entered a whole new world! The food-WOW! Service ensured that all 272 guests were eating at the same time. The food was scrumptious and even our big appetited uncles had to turn away extra helpings! After the flowing wine and with full bellies the crowd danced the night away only to be interrupted by tea/coffee and more delicious delights. Bedtimes varied. 5am eventually called us to our beautiful suite! Breakfast the next morning was delightful. Friends and family were all a chatter about the fantastic food, service etc. Some even booking in to stay an extra night. All in all The Kenmare Bay Hotel, its surroundings and staff, made our day! In the run-up to the wedding everything was kept easy and simple, the wedding co-ordinator Tom gave us great advice on menus, layout, timing etc. We got any information we asked for, but weren't bombarded with questions or emails. The hotel sent a clear and easy to use template for the table plan and were very accommodating to all our requests. As the majority of our guests were travelling and many staying the weekend I found the reservations staff very helpful in managing bookings and making sure all our families were taken care of. On the day itself we couldn't have been happier with everything. The guests raved about the venue, the room, the staircase, the chandeliers, the view, and a good many told me that it was the best wedding meal they had ever had. I agree - it's just as good as cooked-to-order in any good restaurant, you'd never think they had to dish up for almost 200 a the same time. I found the Kenmare Bay hotel online and really liked it from the pictures so we decided to head down for a night to view the hotel. From the moment I stepped into the reception area I know this was the place, the decor is totally to my likely with the staircase, the chandeliers on the ceiling and the fabulous chairs it really is a beautiful hotel. We asked to see the function room and when we went in it just looked fab. Everything was explained about where things would be for a civil ceremony, everybody would be looking out onto mountains which was a fabulous view. The room decor is beautiful along with the hotel itself rooms are great and spacious and it has a leisure centre, is 5 min walk to town of Kenmare which is great.We know it would be the place for us and we booked our wedding for the next year everyone was great any questions I had were dealt with very professional and fast. We made a weekend out of our wedding as everyone was travelling over 2.5 hrs for the wedding , The hotel has self catering cottages and lodges were guest can stay. We stayed in the lodge for 4 days but spent the wedding night in the bridal suite in the hotel. I would highly recommend the lodges everyone commended on them and was a great place for everyone to meet after the wedding the next day and have a few drinks. We had a few children at the wedding and wanted something to keep them busy and Tom organised a kids club for them for a couple of hours while we were having our meal, the kids loved this they had a great time playing games and having face painted! When I seen the room all done up for the civil ceremony I just thought "my god its perfect" from the chair covers, sashes, flowers and candles they all really made the room look beautiful we had the room divided as we had 100 guest at the wedding and the space was just perfect not too small and not too big. The meal itself was the best I ever had at a wedding, everything about it was brilliant there was loads and everything was presented really well Overall the hotel is 5 star standard if you are thinking of getting married here I would say book it, it was the best weekend ever and people are still talking about what a wonderful wedding it was and how fabulous the hotel was. They really exemplify excellent customer service because they exceeded not only our expectations but our guests still talk about the hotel, the function room, the beautiful food, the accommodation in the hotel, the lodges, & the holiday homes, but most importantly they still praise the staff at the hotel & how brilliant and kind they were. My husband & I actually changed our original wedding venue when we met Sue at the Kenmare Bay. We lost our deposit at that hotel but I still say changing to the Kenmare Bay was the best decision we ever made. They are trustworthy, reliable, ultra professional, & go out of their way to make things special for you & your guests. They have earned a fantastic reputation that is well deserved. When I contrast them with the hotel we had originally booked with there is no comparison in terms of how we were treated as customers & as people. There were so many little things that were stressing me out about the day & the decor, etc, but Tom Meagher is an amazing wedding coordinator & you can sit back & trust him completely. I honestly cannot find fault with anything about the hotel. As I've already said from the moment we booked to the moment we checked out on the Monday after the wedding I have nothing but positive things to say about them. They even thought about things I hadn't and they are so experienced you can just relax knowing you are in competent and caring hands. I wish the hotel the great success it truly deserves.

They really cared and paid attention to every thing we said, they really wanted us to have the wedding of our dreams. Like most, planning a wedding is a once off, and of course we had ideas of what we wanted of the day and the staff at Kenmare Bay Hotel were able to translate what we were thinking into reality. They really bent over backwards to make sure we had the most perfect day. I would 1000% recommend any couple that are looking for that perfect Wedding Day to get married at this venue.
