start I knew I was going to be in very good hands. Not only did I not have to explain every single thing, it was as if he could read my mind!! It really made me feel like I was being listened to for the first time. I was able to have my ring made for me properly.
I chose a round cut champagne diamond to be set in rose gold and platinum. I was happy when Michael mentioned what goldsmith would be making my ring, as I loved his work already!! To say I'm happy is an understatement. The level of detail Michael provides is second to none. The ring, the paperwork and documents, the bespoke packaging, and aftersale service is amazing.
I am really thrilled that we can also have wedding bands to match! If you are getting engaged and want to learn a bit more best to ask Michael first.
Here's what we loved the most:
Michael takes time making sure 'everything' is taken care of. I thought a ring size was standard, but Michael went a lot further by telling me it will be 'custom made' for me so measured my finger and designed/made a ring that was solely for me. (I have problems with my knuckles, and fleshy fingers) So use his expertise.
We tried to keep to our budget, and did. Himself was thrilled, and so was I because this is my unique ring, and no one elses. So be upfront. Michael never asked about money, but I had no idea the difference in the 000's of diamonds! So do ask!
It really is worth having a consultation with a professional. And hassle free.
We spent far more €€ and time over the last few years looking abroad, and online and going into shops who'd no interest in us. It was like we were talking double dutch to half of them, and all they wanted to do was sell!!

wanted (and still do) a fuss-free approach to all things wedding, including the engagement ring. Michael is the type of man that instantly sets you at ease and I was sure my concept and design would be safe in his hands. I found a design I liked online and discussed how to make something similar possible within budget, and the potential design constraints etc. Once we had figured this out, Michael suggested several goldsmiths and detailed their suitability for the job at hand. We decided to go with one particular goldsmith and the process started. At all stages Michael kept in touch with me, updating me and keeping me informed of the ring's progress. Michael does not work a traditional 9 to 5 and if you happen to email him at 11pm with a query/problem, there is a high probability he will be onto you with an appropriate solution within a few minutes. The ring was made within the time frame we established and I am so delighted with the end result.
Working with Michael meant that my fiancée and I were able to get something 100% unique, within our set budget, and in a completely hassle free manner. Michael's knowledge about diamonds, diamond setting, and design integrity (and much more) astounded us and I trusted and valued all his recommendations. We had no traipsing around Dublin/Cork etc. for the perfect ring, we discussed and conceptualised the ring from the comfort of our own home (and in the occasional pub) ensuring that we really enjoyed that whole experience.
I could not recommend Michael highly enough, and I stress that he can work with many budgets and all jewellery/diamond/ring novices.
