The award-winning Castle Oaks House Hotel has been taking care of wedding couples for over 30 years. This stunning country house hotel has a well-earned reputation for excellent food, service and traditional Irish hospitality.

Recently taken over by Só Hotels, The Castle Oaks House Hotel and Estate is a Stunning Georgian House built in the late eighteenth century. Our Georgian House is set in 26 acres of beautiful mature gardens & woodlands that lead down to the banks of the River Shannon. An idyllic backdrop for stunning wedding photographs for both summer and winter weddings. The Castle Oaks is on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Castleconnell.

Our restored Georgian Manor House retains many of it original features including the magnificent original sweeping staircase. Our newly renovated banqueting Stradbally Suite still shows the history of the house featuring Stained Glass Windows from the former chapel. The Stradbally Suite as well as our stunningly manicured gardens are also registered venues for civil and humanist ceremonies.

A warm and welcoming atmosphere awaits each couple and their guests at the Castle Oaks. Only the couples guests reside in the Manor House giving the property an exclusive feel with additional accommodation available for your guests in our courtyard suites.

The Castle Oaks is renowned for good food having received numerous awards. Our head chef has designed outstanding menus with many choices to suit each taste and budget from fresh local Irish produce.

time we had stayed, the venue and staff were so amazing! During every visit, all members of staff were always ready to help and guide us.
Arriving on the wedding day, Theresa was there immediately for us with the red carpet and a welcoming drink. The canapés and drinks reception was so comfortable and welcoming to all guests, putting everyone in great form. The venue was beautifully decorated for Christmas and they even organised for us to go in to see Santa at the last minute. The dinner was delicious, with the waiting staff and Trish really ensuring every guest was catered for.
The evening went so well, the late-night food was so amazing with guests flocking for it! On the wedding day, every guest had a great time from the start of the day right through the night, as did we. We couldn't have asked for any more or better and we have the most amazing memories from the day because of the team at Castle Oaks House Hotel.
On day two, we were all welcomed by Alex and the team who did a great job, providing for us even when last-minute requests had to be added, working with us with complete patience and a smile.
So many people have said they really enjoyed the venue and have been so impressed with it. We really loved it. We were given the perfect day and would love to relive the day at Castle Oaks House Hotel again.

From start to finish, Castle Oaks House Hotel could not have been more helpful. Since the day we booked our wedding, Martina was always so quick to get back to us regarding anything or if we wanted to go in and meet her she always accommodated us straight away.

went above and beyond everything ran so smoothly. Everyone has since been speaking about the food and the staff they were absolutely amazing! The venue couldn’t have been better and we are so glad we chose the Castle Oaks House Hotel for our wedding and for our day two celebration. Every staff member went above and beyond for every guest and was so friendly and professional. Not one thing could be faulted about this venue and would recommend it to anyone. The staff, food and the overall venue were amazing. We felt so relaxed with the planning leading up to the wedding and dealing with Martina and the staff. It was the most perfect venue and the place looked amazing with all the Christmas decorations. It was so beautiful and we are forever grateful to have had the best weekend.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Castle Oaks House Hotel, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, the venue had a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the beautiful surroundings made for the perfect backdrop for our big day.

What truly stood out to us …

was the exceptional staff. Every team member went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire process—from the initial planning stages to the last song of the night. Our guests kept commenting on how amazing and professional the staff were, which made the day even more memorable.

The venue itself is stunning, with gorgeous event spaces and lovely outdoor areas that were perfect for photos. The food was also fantastic, and the service was top-notch. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our special day, and we are so grateful to the team at Castle Oaks House Hotel for making it all come together.
