staff and their service. From the moment we booked with Castlemartyr, we have been treated with the utmost respect and been accommodated at all times, even after two date changes due to Covid 19. Details were carefully considered and we were contacted any time if there was a query. Jackie has been amazing at getting back to us and ensuring it was such an easy process, especially when we do not live in Ireland. When we arrived ahead of the wedding, we were treated like royalty and that we were so special all throughout our stay. The whole wedding day was flawless and I would not change a thing, and that was a credit to all of the staff at Castlemartyr. Even the days after when we were at the hotel, with other weddings happening, we were still treated like we were the most important people, which made our time there even better. Every guest commented on how amazing the food was too, a lot even said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! Castlemartyr will always hold a very special place in our hearts, and we are already planning our next time there.

As a wedding photographer myself, it’s so important to me that my own wedding be a stand out event. Castlemartyr made my dreams come true. I felt so welcome and cared for as a bride and a guest. The rooms we booked were a huge hit among our guests and ourselves. The extra mile was given to us, even though our wedding was quite small. We wanted to take this opportunity to express our thanks and appreciation to all the resort staff who helped make our stay and wedding such a wonderful experience for us and for our wedding guests. In particular, we want to say thank you to Sakshi for all her help and advice in planning the ceremony and reception. On the day of the wedding, everything went well and the quality of the service and food etc. was first class. Sakshi worked with our wedding planner to ensure everything went smoothly. We, and all of our guests, including our wedding planner, were so impressed with the setting and service provided by Castlemartyr.

We also want to say a big thank you to Anetta who took such good care of us while staying in the Orchard Lodges. She really spoiled us with the level of service and attention to detail. Annetta was warm and friendly from the time we arrived and continued to check in with us the whole time we were there. It’s not often that one comes across a hotel staff member who is so responsive and welcoming. If you have a staff recognition program, we would like to nominate Anetta for being such a great representative for the hotel in providing a service that not only met but exceeded our expectations.

We were also impressed that staff we hadn’t dealt with recognised us and congratulated us on our wedding. Everyone we dealt with at Castlemartyr was so welcoming and helpful.

Thank you again for making our stay, and especially our wedding day, so memorable and special.

We look forward to returning to Castlemartyr Resort, which after our recent stay, is now an extra special place for us when we visit Ireland.

help leading up to and on the day was a godsend and so considerate each step of the way. Richard was brilliant during our reception dinner along with the entire event staff. He was fantastically accommodating and informative as we tried to ad-lib how to organise the night and speeches etc from our top table. We can't thank him enough. not have been more complimentary of the staff and the food and drink. Many of them told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. It is 5 weeks since our wedding now and we are still pinching ourselves over how incredible it all was. One of our friends only said to us yesterday how the beef was probably the best beef he has ever had. Everyone was impressed with how well fed we all were and they all commented on how beautiful the venue was. We decided not to add too much decor in terms of flowers etc and didn’t know if it would be missed but it really wasn’t. People commented on the beautiful candelabras and the stunning chandeliers. From the first visit, to our menu tasting, to the days leading up to it we could not have asked for more, every member of staff we spoke to was honestly so helpful and willing to do whatever they could to make our wishes come true. Kevin the Head Chef looked after us really well at our tasting and the quality of the food was not reduced when it was done for all our guests. Jackie was also great in responding to any of our questions. Sakshi was just fantastic she paid as much attention to detail as we did so no detail was overlooked. Thank you so much Sakshi, you honestly made our day perfect! Maeve in reservations was just brill, she looked after all our guests and even managed to get an adjoining room for my 101 year old Granny so that she could be there too. Kay ran the day like clock work and ensured we didn’t need to worry about anything. There were so many other staff that we interacted with who I unfortunately don’t know the names of but thank you so much to each and every single one of you. We cannot wait to come back!

with the hotel’s help and resources, it became a reality quite easily. It just shows the extra mile to which the hotel will go. As locals, we felt blessed.

The planning of the day took off to a slow start but from the moment Sachi came on board, she had every fine detail confirmed and planned to a tee. She was so friendly, helpful, hospitable and organised. As a result of her professionalism, the wedding was quite seamless and exactly how we envisaged. I know a couple who are working with her at the moment on their wedding and I have made sure to press on them how lucky they are to have Sachi on board.

I recall one day calling up to the hotel pre-wedding up to ninety as there was a change in our wedding co-ordinator. I recall chatting with Kay, who reassured me that all was in hand and I had nothing to worry about. I went home and had a sound nights sleep, those small things meant a lot.

On the day, everything was perfect from the drinks reception to the delicious food, the welcome reception etc. Again, Kay was always at hand and just made the whole experience so happy, fun and worry free. I would say that there was an obvious shortage of staffing but the staff that were present navigated through that. Nothing went wrong because of it and we still had a great and perfect day.

Overall, we were over the moon with all that Castlemartyr Resort did for us and enjoyed the experience

can produce to cater for our 150 guests. Both the canopy bar for our drinks and the wedding room was beautifully set up, both modern and tasteful. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous sunshine in October. Our guests were so impressed with the grounds. They all enjoyed the golf and spa facilities before our big day, as well as the walks and seeing the beautiful horses.

Yvonne and the team managed everything well on the day, and everything went completely smoothly. We didn’t have to think about a thing! The bridal suite was also beautiful, with so much space for all the wedding party beforehand. The in-house hair stylist for my wedding hair made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. We can’t thank you all enough, from the check-in and concierge staff to the staff serving and Yvonne managing throughout - you made our day absolutely perfect!

Covid restrictions were still in place and the Castlemartyr ensured that everything went without a hitch and kept us updated prior to the wedding of any changes in regulations.

The food was amazing, and a large number of our guests commented on this as well as on the lovely location. The function room and the hotel rooms themselves were immaculate and a slice of pure luxury.

We chose Castlemartyr Resort for our wedding having visited fifteen other venues around Munster and the Castlemartyr Resort was heads and shoulders above the competition and is the perfect location for a wedding. We were so delighted with our day and the way it turned out. Jackie and the team were instrumental in ensuring it was a great day.

The experience and warm nature of the team really fills you with confidence that your wedding day will be of the utmost quality, or at least it did for us and at every point thereafter we received 5 star treatment. Every query or request we had was promptly answered and dealt with. And ours were few, because in fairness, they already had everything in hand. Our menu tasting experience only fuelled our excitement further, and we availed of a preferential B&B rate on that occasion too, which we would highly recommend. Everything about the day went as planned, in a seamless nature. I think when you are left with that impression, that everything is where and how it should be, but you have no idea who did it or when it was done - it goes to demonstrate the efficiency of the team in Castlemartyr. We thank Sarah and Kay, and compliment the rest of the team on their super high standards - They are absolutely fantastic at what they do and lovely while they do it too! our wedding before covid, we experienced a few different changes with staff. The support and kindness that was shown to us by Jackie when we first postponed was beyond a job title, but rather a personal understanding and empathy towards the situation. We received the same graciousness when we had to postpone a second time. Picking a third date had its challenges and it was intense for a period of time. This left us a little deflated at the time. All was explained and clear when we heard of the take over. The pressure and uncertainty for managers at the time in the middle of a pandemic must have been very stressful. Five stars is not easy to achieve and its even more difficult to maintain. Congratulations to all who managed to keep a clear head and remain so upbeat and supportive during such an uncertain time. With the new take over, it feels like we have been on a journey with the hotel. We grew in momentum on the preparations for our wedding and so did the resort with all the improvements. As the months passed we were getting stronger as a couple and the resort was getting stronger as a destination. A little lesson in change and development, being positive even though it can be uncertain and a little shaky along the way. Reflecting back, entering into marriage has a similar journey. It's hard work getting there and hard work to maintain, but proves to come with a beautiful outcome. It takes a strong team and group of teams to run such an operation. This can only be achieved with strong leadership which is certainly the case here. I think the right team
of people are in charge and will bring much strength and success to the resort.

The Ballroom is so perfect, isolated from the main hotel bars so that you truly feel like you have the place to yourself. The food received rave reviews from all of our guests, and the service staff were brilliant. A special shout-out to Kay the catering manager.

The accomodation for our guests was also lovely, with certain guests staying in the hotel and larger groups opting for the lodges. Both options were of the highest standards.

We held our day two in the Hunted Hog, a bar owned by the resort. This more casual setting was perfect for the guests that remained, we were lucky enough to have the weather to permit having food in their outdoor marquee, and later had music inside. This was ran perfectly by the staff, especially Barry.

All of the staff at Castlemartyr offered nothing short of top class service, from reception to Maeve in reservations.

We were truly made to feel like VIPs, and we genuinely couldn't recommend Castlemartyr any higher.

welcoming Olivia only seven months prior to our wedding day. We only travelled three times to Ireland prior to the wedding so email and phone calls was all we could have to communicate. Having said that, Jackie and her team seem to have their computers glued to their hands. I doubt there was a time we had to wait for more than 1-2 hours for a reply. Each time the replies were detailed, accurate and reassuring. We quite took the back seat for a few weeks knowing Jackie had everything under control. This however resulted in us changing our minds on some details quite close to the wedding day... a wedding planners worst nightmare you'd imagine. The resort never made us feel unreasonable or uncomfortable with our requests and ALWAYS tried their best (and managed) to satisfy our desires. Even when it lashed up until one hour prior to the outdoor ceremony, the staff where locked and loaded and set up outdoors in record time. Yes, we were graced with enough dry weather to finish our ceremony. The pictures are awesome! The venue was beautifully set. There is a sense of privacy that separates you from the hotel guests, which was what we primarily looked for. My groomsmen/best man had quite the good life at the wedding - the resort were on top of things, most often kindly nudging me with the days schedule.. not intruding at all. The food and beverage service, is equal to no other in my opinion. None of this deceiving belly filling gimmicks we've all seen at weddings. Quality meats, fresh produce and an excellently well balanced menu. My guests still speak of our wedding. I would also add a 6th star category, 'Personal', which is what Castlemartyr has made this to be. Thankyou.

the celebrations as much as possible!) we decided to have a 3-day affair for our wedding. A major benefit to Castlemartyr is that it provided the ideal venue for this - we were able to have food and drinks with our guests in Castlemartyr both the night before the wedding, and the day after the wedding! Once we moved into Castlemartyr we did not have to leave - so even though our wedding was just 1 day, it felt like we got excellent value for money as we were actually around the venue for 4 days. Castlemartyr is the perfect wedding venue, for many reasons:

1 - Staff: The staff at Castlemartyr are so friendly, helpful and professional. From as far back as when we were enquiring about having our wedding in Castlemartyr, to staying there for our Wedding Tasting, right up until our Wedding Day weekend, all staff were so courteous and pleasant to deal with. All of our guests also found the staff to be so friendly and polite, and excellent at their jobs.

2 - Wedding Planner: When you book your wedding at Castlemartyr you are assigned a wedding planner - which is an excellent bonus. Our wedding planner was Elaine and she helped us with absolutely everything relating to the wedding reception. It was great to have someone there that you could rely on every step of the way. Elaine was a true professional, and it was clear that she loved her job which is nice to see. She went above and beyond for us!

3 - Grounds: Castlemartyr Resort is a stunning venue - our wedding photos and wedding video look like something right out of a bridal magazine as ALL areas are so picturesque!

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Castlemartyr to any couple looking for a 5 star wedding venue.

are second to none - particularly the fabulous Jackie Day who was our wedding planner, and Trevor and Kay who also helped to expertly manage the day. They were completely focused on making sure that we were relaxed and happy about things from the time of our initial visit to the hotel; right up to the wedding day itself and beyond. We organised our wedding while living abroad, which brought its own challenges, and they couldn't have been kinder and more understanding in all their dealings with us throughout.

We were particularly impressed by the warm welcome bestowed upon both of our families as they checked in the night before the wedding - we really felt completely at home straightaway and fully able to wind down after a busy week of organisation! Our guests all loved the food on the day; from the drinks reception canapes to the wedding meal itself and the snacks at midnight. The function room was just the right size - intimate and located away from the main body of the hotel so that we had privacy. There is also a beautiful spa, Italian restaurant and golf course so there were plenty of other facilities to enjoy over the weekend.

We organised our flowers and make-up with suppliers in the village of Castlemartyr so there are a lot of excellent wedding-related amenities close by as well. There are a great range of accommodation options available in the hotel - from suites to self-catering group lodges on the grounds - which provided great flexibility for our guests.

In summary, an absolutely fantastic venue which left us with charming memories of consummate professionalism, gentle generosity and good humour. Many thanks Castlemartyr!

We had the lovely Jason drive us to and from the venue to the church and he was an absolute gentleman and really calmed the nerves. Once the crisis was averted the day was truly spectacular, the service, the food, the atmosphere just everything was amazing and that is down to the professionalism and kindness of the staff at Castlemartyr.

Jackie Day was our wedding coordinator and nothing was ever an issue or a problem to her, she literally answered all of our questions within hours / days and always helped with suggestions and advice. She was a pleasure to deal with and so witty - a credit to Castlemartyr.

On Friday we had our church rehearsal and had family and friends stay over. Jackie booked out 'The Living Room' for us for the evening where we had finger food and drinks. The cocktails are absolutely amazing! On the Saturday, the wedding morning, everyone was on hand to make sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond my expectations. Breakfast, brunch, prosecco and strawberries were brought to the room for me and my bridal party. Any last minute hiccups were sorted with ease and everything was just perfect.

The arrival reception provided for us and our guests was amazing; canapes, prosecco, cider punch. The evening 5-course meal was the highlight for many guests! The quality of the food was outstanding with steaks cooked absolutely perfectly.

On Sunday morning, we had our own banqueting room with table service breakfast for all of our guests, where the room was ours right up until 1pm. Guests used the leisure and spa facilities, ate in the bar, and had drinks in the bar for the day.

Our guests are still talking about the staff at Castlemartyr, how they were treated, and how they cannot wait to return for a future visit. Many said it was the best wedding venue they have ever been to. I cannot thank the staff at Castlemartyr enough, genuinely. It was the most perfect weekend and I think about it every day! Julie X x

Jackie is an expert in wedding co-ordination, and while I am a perfectionist, Jackie on the day was on hand at all times and thought of the little things that I forgot – coffee, prosecco, light brunch etc. brought to the bridal suite where it was very much welcomed by us all as we had an early start that morning. I know that she did so much more on the day that I didn't see and I will be forever grateful to Jackie. We can honestly say, hand on heart, that our wedding day was the best day of our lives and it was all made possible by Jackie and the team at Castlemartyr. I even think Jackie had a say in the weather as the sun shone that day and our dream of having our ceremony outside was fulfilled (I arrived at the venue 2 days before the wedding with my chief bridesmaid and the weather was dismal, especially on the eve of the wedding). I may have planned our special day but it was the execution on the day by Jackie and the wider team that really wowed both Donnagh and I. I would have those 4 days back in a heartbeat and at Castlemartyr. Our family and friends were also treated exceptionally well that weekend, as we all travelled from Clare the majority stayed 2/3 nights, and they have all commented on the friendliness of the staff, the service, the food and the standard of accommodation. The grounds gave us the perfect setting for our photos, the Capel suite gave us a beautiful setting for our meal, and the staff delivered what we can only describe as a masterclass in customer service. We had one change in wedding date, and Jackie made sure this was never an issue for us, and that the change was very stress free. Danielle passed us onto their outstanding wedding planner, Jackie Day, in December 2020. I am slightly embarrassed to say that I exchanged 240 emails with Jackie from then until July 2021! Jackie was at all times warm, friendly, helpful and extremely efficient! There was no request that Jackie didn’t do her utmost to fulfil. Wedding planning during Covid-19 was stressful at times, but Jackie assisted us to navigate the continued changes to restrictions and guidelines. Her attention to detail shone through on the day of the wedding, when our plans were executed with perfection! We had truly magical day with their wonderful staff. On the morning of the wedding, the bridal party attended the spa for hair and makeup. This truly was a lovely experience and started the day with excitement. The royal treatment continued throughout our wedding day. The food was incredible and lots of guests complemented the menu after the big day. The rooms were beautiful, particularly the bridal suite (which we spent 3 nights in). We would highly recommend Castlemartyr Resort as a wedding venue.

special day. Our son was included in many ways, especially in the lead up, which meant a lot to us. Everyone had a fantastic time and felt very safe. The food was amazing and our guests really enjoyed the whole experience. We could not have done it wihout the amazing help of Jackie Day, Gérard, Chris and all the team in Castlemartyr. They organised everything with very little time, and the day went off without a hitch. Our drinks reception was outside in the gardens, and Ciara who was serving us was so friendly and fun. We stayed for a second day and night, just relaxing in the gardens and taking it all in. It was such a beautiful experience for us and we couldn't be happier. We just can't wait to get back now!

Jackie and all the staff at the resort. Our whole family enjoyed the day, and their extended stay in the hotel. The hotel exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere, not to mention top class facilities and food. It is the perfect combination for an intimate wedding breakaway. There is no need to leave with a spa, hair and makeup in the hotel, the church two minutes away, "the village florist", local cake makers and photographers, and not to mention the resident piano player. Mary, the piano player, played through the evening, even with some festive tunes for the little ones! I would highly recommend this resort for a wedding. itself, the garden room (for our scaled down COVID wedding) looked like a dream. Our guests commented that the food was some of the best they had ever had at a wedding, and we completely agree! We would like to give a special mention to Chris Harold, who on the night, we felt went above and beyond for us. managed to have the ceremony outside, and everything was beautifully set-up. The wedding decor in the Living Room and Garden Room were also lovely. We booked at the spa the next day, and were allowed to check out later in the afternoon, which I really appreciated. I also enjoyed the lovely breakfast. originally supposed to get married in May 2020 with 150 guests coming from all over the globe. The events team were really great in providing us with different options and showed tremendous flexibility in adapting to the needs of both our families, they worked with us to hold a smaller, more intimate wedding in September 2020. As our coordinator Jackie Day promised, it would be a “relaxed and magical family day” and it was exactly that.

The big day itself was so dreamy. The ceremony was outdoors by the gardens & fountain followed by a reception & dinner in the Garden Room which was just stunning! The events team had every single detail covered and they ensured the day was completely stress free. The staff were so professional & welcoming and made our guests feel safe and comfortable.

To Jackie, Kaye, Elaine, Trevor and the all the team at Castlemartyr, from the bottom of my hearts we cannot thank you enough for everything you did for us leading up to & on the day of the wedding.

Special thank you also to the lovely talented ladies at the Spa (Caroline & Alice) who did my bridal hair and make up, never have I had so many compliments!

Fantastic experience. We had just a small family wedding but there was no less attentiveness or care from the staff for our group. They really helped created memorable experience for our families. Much appreciated and would recommend.
