it is all down to Antoinette and her team. They are efficient, professional and pay attention to the smallest of details. They made us feel like we were truly at home and all of our guests have since complimented the venue and the amazing food. The whole team is approachable and are quick with email responses and helpful at all times, especially when you need a little guidance or unsure of something. The food was outstanding and we have to compliment all kitchen and serving staff as the courses were served in a timely manner. Once again we would like to thank Antoinette because she is an amazing wedding coordinator and the day would not have been the same without all of her expertise, help, guidance, reassurance and kindness.

Our wedding was through all of the COVID restrictions but Micheal and staff at the Clanree made it so wonderful and we didn't even feel like we had a "different wedding to normal". We stuck to the guidelines, the Clanree were amazing. Masks, sanitising stations and staff were aware of social distancing during our wedding. It was immediate family only for the hotel and we were treated like royalty.

Myself and my husband are so pleased with the Clanree hotel. For the full Saturday and Sunday we were greeted with smiles and the friendliest staff I've ever come across.
Our wedding was something out of a fairy tale, the way they had all of our decor set up! Our bedroom was out of this world and super clean and fresh! Chocolates and prosecco also. They have also GAVE us an overnight spa stay and meal for our first wedding anniversary. How sweet and thoughtful.

Overall, everything about our wedding gets a 11/10 at the Clanree Hotel!! We cannot recommend them enough. The wedding team went out of their way to keep in contact with us over the 18 months and kept us sane! They were amazing, amazing, amazing!

To all of the staff - we can't thank you enough for the most magical, intimate wedding day through these crazy tough times. You guys are fantastic and our special day is all down to you.

All our guests commented on how good the food was and the portion sizes were excellent not to mention the second helpings being offered also. you walk in the door. We had many emails back and forth to Annette and the reply was always "no problem" and we never waited longer than a day for a reply. Antoinette is just something else.. She is a lady and really knows how to make you feel welcome and at ease. Nothing was a problem leading up to the wedding. Everything to do with the hotel was so stress free! On the day itself, everything went so smoothly and Antoinette made sure of that! THE FOOD... Every one of our guests have been talking about how brilliant the food was.. "quick service", "plenty of it" and "piping hot" were only some of the comments we heard back! If a good meal is what is important to you on your wedding day, I would look no further than the Clanree. The staff in the hotel were so friendly and really couldn't have done enough for you.. From the reception staff ensuring a pregnant friend had a quiet room, bar staff that are quick and effecient and the waiting staff helping find my baby cousin's toy cow in the function room. Coming from Castlederg/strabane areas we wanted somewhere near but good, but we also had guests travel from a distance and the Clanree ensured their weekend was as magical as ours. We are so glad that we chose the Clanree as our venue..it literally was the fairy tail to our new beginning.

us, it is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. The management and staff at the hotel are top class. We sat down talked through what we wanted and got a very competitive price. We met with Antoinette closer to the date to organize the finer details and she was more than accommodating down to the food and the timings and the order of the day and special dietary requirements for some of the guests, the seating plan. Nothing was a bother and offered some helpful ideas. On the actual day, when we arrived after the ceremony, everything from the arrival and entrance into the Room ran so smoothly. We didn't have to make sure anything was done or double check anything, the whole day ran like clockwork so seamlessly. We actually said after that the day went that smoothly we never gave anything a second thought. So many people said that the food was beautiful, that was one thing that stood out in particular. Everyone had starters together, everyone had dinner together and everyone had dessert together. That was important to us and the staff were so well organized it looked from the top table like it was done with military precision. The top table were treated like royalty and we absolutely loved the surprise at the top table when dinner was served. We had the fairy light curtains as you come into the hall and as one guest put it 'when you walked through the curtains it was like walking into Mark and Marias story'. What more would you want on your wedding day to make it so personal and special. All the staff from management to bar staff and waiters/waitresses and girls on reception, everything was top class. an effort to remember our names and initiate conversation any time we were in, or our family, whether it be for a drink in McGettigans or a Carvery on a Sunday.

Our reception ran so smoothly and as a naturally very nervous person I was made to feel so at ease being greeted by both Caroline and Antoinette who both were such calming influences. During the meal Antoinette was there to fix my dress and pull out my seat if need be and even checked to make sure that we thought the room was warm enough, if we needed anything, and to make sure we were happy with our meal. The staff were very exact in their presentation of their plates and to the delight of our guests, offered second helpings.

The food was so superb that it exceeded my expectations. The meal at most weddings is pretty much the same no matter where you go- however I enjoyed it that much that I would be more than happy to eat the same meal in a fine dining restaurant. It has to be said that at the end of the night I had guests come to me and say that the meal was the best wedding meal they had ever had- that they never usually eat the soup or the dessert at most weddings in general but on this occasion they loved it!

Our Bridal suite was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to leave it for breakfast the following morning. To our surprise we didn't have to! There was a knock on the door and we were delighted to find a waiter with a trolley of breakfast including two cooked breakfasts, yogurt and fruit and more!

If couple are considering their wedding in Donegal, The Clanree Hotel is hands down the best venue with the most helpful, pleasant, friendly staff. Go for it, you wont regret it!

Closer to the wedding, I visited the hotel and met with Annette O'Donnell. She was so reassuring and very down to earth and again, nothing was too much trouble. We had a number of wedding guests traveling from Mayo, Dublin and Galway and there was a bit of uncertainty around who needed rooms booked but no matter how many times plans changed, we were accommodated without question.
During the week of the wedding, I met with Antoinette, who managed our special day from start to finish. She is such a professional and so good at what she does.
On the day itself, the function room was prepared to such a high standard. Everything looked so well and great care was taken with laying out our table plan and cake stand.
The food was absolutely delicious and so many of our guests commented on the high standard - some are still talking about it!
My husband and I cannot thank the Clanree Hotel and its staff enough for making our day so special for us and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone! An absolutely fantastic venue!

amazing (newly renovated) rooms and bar were the staples that brought us to viewing the Clanree. The warm, personable and easy to work with staff, along with the affordable packages, are what made us jump at the chance to book our wedding there!

We got married in June at the Clanree Letterkenny. We really wanted a beautiful relaxed wedding day in a unique venue. After viewing all of the hotels in Letterkenny and the surrounding areas, The Clanree stood out a mile. The lobby with it's beautiful red carpet staircase and white chandelier sets the most amazing scene for pre-dinner tea, scones and drinks. We had our bridal party photos on this stairs and we got beautiful shots of just the two of us from above the chandelier.

Our wedding was 150 people so we had the Mac Grianna suite. The bay window was the perfect backdrop to our top table, no fairylit backdrop needed. The food was delicious! The bridal suite was luxurious, we didn't want to leave! Most of our guests stayed in the hotel and they were all extremely impressed with the rooms and service.

Dealing with the Clanree was an absolute pleasure. Any question I had, I jotted down in a quick email and Annette was always extremely quick to respond. The staff on the day were just excellent and kept everything running smoothly. Antoinette was just amazing on the day. The little finishing touches that she put together in the room to make it really special and unique to us and our taste was just amazing. She was always there to keep everything running smoothly and was very happy to answer any questions or queries I had.

Nothing we wanted to do was too big or too small they even organised to have the favours from our evening reception placed in our bridal parties rooms as a surprise! questions and to help us plan our day. We also had two appointments with Antoinette in the run up who was amazing and such a help. As always on the day all the guest had arrived before me and I was anxious to see the venue, room etc... It was perfect. Every detail no matter how small was arranged just as I wanted. The clanree staff put 100% into our day, our meal was beautiful and service was superb. The bar was well staffed and no big waits, which isn't easy with 170 guests. A real friendly atmosphere from everyone.

I am so glad I chose this hotel for my wedding and have amazing memories of my big day thanks to them.

Annette, from the get go anything that we asked or enquired about wasn’t a problem and there were very few “no’s” involved. During the lead up to our special day you kept in contact with us making sure that we were happy with everything and no matter how many times we changed our minds about things you never made us feel that we were ever a bother to you! On the day before the wedding we had left out a few boxes of decorations and trinkets that we wanted to use throughout our ceremony and reception and you assured us that you would make sure that everything would be just as it was supposed to be and sure enough I could not have been happier with the layout of the ceremony room and the reception room.

The room for the reception looked amazing with the lights changeing different colours throughout the day. I would like to mention annette especially who did everything we asked and was always helpfull. We needed to use the reception room to practice a surprise dance that myself along with the bridesmaides and groomsmen and some close friends had planned for my new wife this was no problem. I wanted a friend to play his piano in the bar before we arrived to keep the guests entertained this was also no problem Annette even offered to store the piano until it needed to be collected again which was really helpful. We had a lot of accessories like small baskets sweet jars etc that we laid out in the reception room that also needed stored this again was no problem. As for the food this was really good with no complaints all day and the bar had plenty of people working so no one was waiting on drinks which was a big plus.

I rate this hotel 5 stars without question and would highly recommend to anyone

We chose the Clanree Hotel as our wedding reception venue firstly due to it's location, reputation of quality in terms of both food and service and the professionalism of the staff. Our expectations were met and there beyond.

We were being married abroard (travelling from the UK) and it …

was highly important for us to have peace of mind regarding our reception venue and guests accomodation. We only needed to make one visit, then all further communication was done over the phone or via email. We had many guests of all ages from 1 to 85yrs old travelling to Ireland from the UK, Scotland and USA. The Clanree staff showed true Irish hospitality and our guests were nothing but complimentary.

The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities included. The staff were quick to respond when an ironing board and iron were requested, thank you Clanree.

At our first meeting at the Clanree to discuss our requirements we were met by Annette, the Clanree wedding co-ordinator. Annette was most helpful in walking us through the options open to us. We had many ideas of our own too which were incorporated into the plan, the Clanree staff were extremely helpful in ensuring our requests were met. Annette did a great job in making us feel that our day would run smoothly, which it did. Every detail!

We met with the Chef as he wanted to take us through the choices we had made, he was very helpful and was happy to make minor changes to suit our needs. The food from start to finish was superb. The canapés, served with champagne were a delight and were commented on later by our guests. The ceilidh band was amazing during the canapés, resulting in our guests singing and dancing before the Wedding Breakfast and evening band!

The food was excellent and beautifully plated, the service from the Clanree staff when serving to the tables was very professional and well timed throughout. Simply excellent!

Choosing the Clanree as our wedding reception venue gave us access to some great photo opportunities, the main staircase makes for great photographs. We had many shots taken here both as a couple and with family and guests, we were very pleased with them.

We would like to say a huge Thank You to the Clanree for making our day so special. We would certainly recommend this hotel and its wedding packages. All the best!

venue for our wedding reception and had received a warm welcome from day one. The staff were extremely professional and anything that we had requested big or small was never an issue. Our wedding planner manager kept in close contact with us throughout our preparation stage and ensured that the highest standards were met at all times.
Our guests received a warm welcome on arrival at the hotel, ensuring they were familiar with the seating arrangements for the reception. The layout of our reception room was perfect and as requested. The hotel staff were courteous and polite at all times which ensured that we and our guests enjoyed the entire day.
The food and the service were second to none and many of our guest commented on the food and how beautiful it was on the day. I can still taste the baked Alaska, oh mouth watering :-).
We had the most amazing day and the Clanree hotel & staff helped us achieve this. I have no hesitation in recommending the Clanree Hotel to any couple(s) getting married in the future, its just an amazing place to celebrate one of the most important days in a persons life.

after our big day no request was too much trouble for the management or staff.
I feel in love with the staircase in the lobby from the first time I saw it and the photos turned out just as I imagined them.
Annette was always on hand to help me make decisions,offer opinions and recommended what might work for us.It was easy to see she has many years experience in this field, We were made feel like our wedding was the number one priority of the hotel, which we found amazing considering how busy a hotel the Clanree is.
On the day we received a warm welcome at the front door and from that moment on there was always a manager on hand to deal with our every request. The staff in the bar and the wait staff were excellent. Many of our guests commented on how friendly and helpful they were. The little things like bringing out the children's meals first and getting them jelly and ice cream while everyone else was on their main course made all the difference to our guests and didn't go unnoticed.
The meal itself was exceptional pipping hot and plentiful. We were all even offered second helpings of main course.
All in all I cannot recommend the Clanree hotel highly enough. They made our special day even more special with there outstanding service and willingness to go above and beyond.

We had a beautiful winter wedding and although our wedding was early December, I enquired if there was any possibility that they could have the Hotel done up with Christmas decorations ,WOW...., we definately got our classy winter wonderland, the sweeping staircase in reception was just amazing and really we didnt need to go anywhere else for photo's with this picture perfect setting. Our wedding day went so smoothly thanks to the dedicated and friendly staff who catered to our every need, the food was amazing and to be honest we did have a few fussy guests, but everyone commented on how good their meal was. everything ran very smoothly. Staff were always at hand if anything was needed on the build up to the big day and on the day itself and this was very reassuring for us. Everyone commented on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the lovely building, especially the staircase and the gorgeous meal, which was piping hot and plentiful. Everyone has commented on how great a day it was, we were able to relax and enjoy it all. The hotel staff also collected up all our bits and pieces, i.e. cake topper, lanterns, order of services, table names, table lay out etc and kept them safe for us until we were leaving, so we didn't have this to worry about either, it was just great. The staff also gave us useful information about photo venues, hairdressers, florists, make up artists etc, which was great as we are not from the Letterkenny area. We would like to thank the Clanree for helping to make our day so special for us and we wish them every success with this nomination.

On the 25th of May 2013, I enjoyed the most special day of my life, my wedding day. But, what most people don't realise, is the thought, time and effort that is put into planning this joyous occasion.

When my fiancé and I began the planning, I firstly went to look for a suitable venue that …

would hold my 200 estimated guests. I researched and viewed numerous venues. The factors that stood out when viewing the Clanree, was the friendly nature of the staff, the gorgeous staircase for wedding photos and the spacious rooms available. We immediately fell in love with the Clanree.

Now the question was... Can we afford this? I spoke to the wedding co-ordinator, who was so helpful and flexible with my requests and came to an agreement in price for a high class wedding package. I can honestly say that the price of the venue was a bargain for what we got in our package, especially when compared to other venues, whose food wasn't as nice and the venue not as high class as the Clanree. We were so so pleased. Throughout my planning, as all ladies know, it is the bride that does the most planning and the groom is just invited to the wedding :), the Clanree were so helpful. Any questions I asked were answered promptly and they always made me feel welcome.

One more point I would like to make is that the Clanree reserved 20 rooms for me and within my package offered a free nights stay in the Bridal Suite and two rooms for our parents.

On the day of my wedding, the food was absolutely delicious, all my guests commented on this afterwards. The soup was the nicest soup I have tasted! The staff were so friendly, they had the centre pieces perfect, the table layout perfect and the bar staff were so pleasant.

I would highly recommend the Clanree as a wedding venue. They made my day even more special than it could have been with their top quality hospitality.

The hotel staff in the Clanree the day of our wedding was an absolute credit to themselves, they couldn't do enough for us and the service was impecable.They looked after us very well and I have to say they made me and my husband feel very special. Each and every member of staff was very attentive to everyone of our guests and alot of our guests commented on how good the food and service was. anybody. My guest 's also had a running joke at the wedding and the day after that if you asked staff to blow your nose they probably would as they were so accommodating. Staff were never 'in your face' but seemed to be there when you needed them. I also had a head chef (fussy character) as a guest and he always gives his verdict on the meal, my husband and I were delighted /shocked to hear that he praised the meal that much that he is still chatting about it and how absolutely wonderful it was!! all my guests enjoyed the meal but he was the one we knew could be dissapproving, so hats off to the chef as that was a hard task!!! it was such an amazing and chilled out day that everything was to the highest standard and left me, my husband and guests to completely enjoy ourselves, I would highly reccommmend a pay rise to all at the Clanree (wishful thinking)... I would love to do it all again and just want to thank everyone involved for the best day of my life (so far)!!!!
