Located on the outskirts of Sligo Town and overlooked by the majestic Benbulben Mountain is the Clayton Hotel Sligo a wonderful wedding venue in the west of Ireland.

Dating back to 1848 and designed by William Dean Butler, the Clayton is a landmark building boasting a striking granite exterior, which has been sensitively restored and remodelled as a beautiful contemporary 4 star hotel.

We invite you to celebrate your most memorable day with us. Our professional events team understands the importance of this occasion – our aim is to ensure every last detail of your day is planned and delivered to your expectations.

From the small intimate reception to the larger more traditional banquet for up to 400 guests, everything a bride and groom could wish for in a wedding venue can be found right here.

It is such a fabulous setting. From our first meeting with Vilma, we loved it and booked it straight away. She was always a pleasure to deal with, and from that point on, everything was plain sailing; no request was too small, and no question went unanswered.

fantastic, and we were blown away. The newly refurbished ballroom looked amazing. As for the food, I can safely say it is the best wedding food we've ever had. So many of our guests complimented the food; the chef and all the kitchen staff deserve a lot of credit.

All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, but a big shout-out to Craig, who was brilliant on the day. Our wedding day was perfect, and the Clayton was a big part of that. We would absolutely recommend having your wedding here; you won't regret it.

From the moment we stepped into the Clayton Hotel Sligo and met with the wedding coordinator Vilma, we knew it was the right choice for us. From the warm greeting at first to the vision that was presented to us, we were sold. We attended the wedding fair hosted at the Clayton, which gave us a …

glimpse of what to expect, and it was out of this world! The food on offer, the decor, and the staff were amazing, to say the least. They were so friendly and always on hand to answer any questions. From that point on, Vilma was there, managing everything down to the fine details. We were invited to a tasting menu, which definitely did not disappoint. They catered to every need and paid attention to the finest details, leaving us very happy.

Then the day arrived, and Vilma and her team were on the ball from minute one. The layout was spectacular, the staff were amazing, and the reception food and drinks were unreal. The timing from the staff right down to the meal was impeccable, and the meal itself has guests still talking about it six weeks later. It was wonderful all around. We would have no trouble recommending the Clayton Hotel Sligo for a wedding; it’s perfect. A massive thanks to everyone involved on the day.

It was hard to fault anything; it was such a fabulous day. I found it difficult to relinquish control over decorating the room, but when I walked into the reception, they turned everything I envisioned in my mind into reality.
