We want to thank the Glenview Hotel for the most wonderful wedding day we could have imagined.

From the first day we met with Leanne, she was on board and knew exactly what we wanted on our special day. She organised everything and took all the pressure off us so we were so relaxed on the day …

knowing it would be perfect.

We got married at 3 pm and the plan was to arrive at the hotel at 4.45 pm. On the day the staff pulled out all the stops as the snow and wind made our planned photo shoot on the beach and in the woods impossible and we arrived an hour earlier than expected.
We were welcomed with smiling faces and nothing was too much trouble. After a quick check-in to our beautiful rooms, we all met up at 4.15 pm in the conservatory bar for prosecco, tea, coffee and delicious scones. Everyone was so appreciative on such a cold and snowy day. The view from the conservatory was like a winter wonderland and our guests absolutely loved it.

At 7 pm we made our way to The Malton Loungep which was decorated so beautifully and the most delicious dinner was served at 7.30 pm. The food was superb and the service was 5-star. The attention to detail from start to finish was fabulous and we could not have asked for more. The chef's delicious food, the banqueting manager, the serving staff, and the banquet room were all amazing and the atmosphere was magical.

We had the most wonderful day and the jewel in the crown was Leanne the events manager who ensured our every wish came true. Our guests are still talking about their fantastic time there. We cannot recommend the Glenview Hotel highly enough. Thank you to you all. We just wish we could do it all again.

On the morning of our wedding, the staff and management did everything in their power to decorate not only the Glenview Suite, where our reception took place but also the garden where our ceremony was held. To say it looked stunning would be an understatement—it was amazingly beautiful, like a fairytale!

Every staff member worked to the highest standards to ensure our wedding was a success. Our guests were treated with the utmost respect, and the day was flawless.

The meal was served efficiently and flawlessly, with the food being of the highest quality. All of our guests who stayed at the hotel commented that the rooms were immaculate and of the highest standard. The bridal suite was exquisite and very pleasing to the eye.

I can't remember all their names, except for Leanne (our wedding coordinator), who really went above and beyond for us, ensuring the day went smoothly so we didn’t have to worry. The food was exceptional, and the enthusiastic banquet manager kept a smile on everyone’s face the day before and on the wedding day itself. We couldn’t have asked for better!

The wedding planner understood us as a couple and knew exactly what we wanted… a great day to remember with as little stress getting there! She took us through each stage with such professionalism and her attention to every detail meant all we had to do …

was say yes or no meaning the wedding planning for us was carefree, she thought of everything. She was always on hand to answer any questions we might have had.

The team went above and beyond to make our wedding exactly what we wanted, including changing the ceremony room layout to accommodate all our guests 24 hrs before the day itself! Nothing was ever impossible for them.

On the day itself, everything flowed perfectly and Denis and I just sailed through the day with huge smiles. The staff kept us updated throughout that everything was in hand and going to plan… including the special order of rare beef for the father of the bride! Every guest was catered for as an individual, everyone was blown away by the standard and quality of the food. All our guests kept saying what a wonderful day it was and commented on how laidback myself and Denis were as we didn’t need to worry about anything; the whole team on the day were on top of every aspect.

Denis and I would highly recommend the team at the Glenview. From start to finish they made everything easy for us, allowing us to enjoy the planning and the day itself as we had so much confidence in the team.

Unfortunately, the weather led us to make a late decision to have an indoor ceremony, but this wasn't obvious, the Glenview suite was decked out with curtains, lights and flowers and looked amazing - great attention to detail considering how rapidly your team had to set up everything.

Several guests commented on the food - after a long day of celebrating and photographs, it was great to have everyone seated and fed so efficiently - Frano and the dining team worked wonders with a very busy room.

We've always enjoyed our stays at the Glenview and we will continue to be returning customers.

People have also been saying how good all the food was – which it was! They also mentioned that the Restaurant staff were all very friendly, including the Restaurant Manager. So many people have said it has either been the best wedding they have ever been to or that the food has been the best they’ve ever had at a wedding. From beginning to end, we never had any doubt that we had picked the right venue for us. We had to rearrange our date twice, but the hotel kept in touch with us every step of the way. On the run up to our wedding, Eithne our coordinator had everything under control, and made sure all our little …

requests were catered for. I stayed the night before with family, and everyone of them were treated so kindly. Everyone agreed that the meal was amazing, which is one of the reasons we loved it here. On the morning of the wedding, even the makeup artist on her arrival, was offered breakfast, which she said never happens! Anything that we needed to the room arrived within minutes of calling, Thanks to Stephanie at reception. When the time came for me to walk down the aisle, a lot of the staff were there to see me off. Our ceremony room was decorated by All About Weddings, and the room was perfect. It was so intimate. The canapés and Prosecco reception after the ceremony was plentiful, and was looked after by the wonderful Mark, per my request from previous meetings. He is such a lovely and inviting person. I knew our guests would love him, and he would look after them. He takes such pride in his work. From there on in, Ken and Eithne made sure everything ran so smoothly. They made sure that myself and my new husband thoroughly enjoyed our day, knowing they had it all under control. It didn’t end there. The next morning they had set up a breakfast room for all the wedding guests, so we got to spend more time chatting and laughing with each other before we left. We stayed the last night on our own, but still being looked after by Ken and the staff, making sure we had everything we needed.
When the time came to leave and go on honeymoon, it was very emotional. Given the option, we probably would have stayed longer! One thing is for definite though, we picked the perfect venue with amazing staff set in the most beautiful surroundings! Nothing to fault whatsoever.

starting from scratch every couple of months. Covid obviously exacerbated this. However, Stacey, the final wedding coordinator, was very UNDERSTANDING and ACCOMMODATING to our particular needs, especially due to the covid restrictions. The staff were all accommodating.

We loved the bridal suite and wished, in hindsight, we had booked it for a longer stay! However, we will definitely return in the future for another break!

The venue was very well put TOGETHER on the day. Guests were all delighted with the hotel, and the food was PHENOMENAL. WE would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking to be married.

All recommendations from Alina worked out really well especially Anna Edera, our photographer who was fantastic.
The front of house and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Sabine managed all other aspects of the dinner and drink service. She again was very efficient. The food service was very quick and even though we spent longer on photos than planned, Sabine worked it so that we didn't have a big delay with dinner. The food again was of a really high quality.
I received many, many compliments from our guests about how great the hotel was. A few of my guests have already mentioned that they will be returning for a meal or an overnight stay.
We had a meal the next day for a smaller set of our guests. We were given a private room upstairs with an amazing view. My guests were really impressed. The service and food from the 2nd night was the same great quality as the first.

On the day of our wedding the staff were always on hand to help or advise and made sure all our guests were well looked after. The food was delicious and there was no problem catering for the special dietary requests for myself(Vegetarian) and some of our guests. We held our drinks reception in the beautiful gardens. We were delighted on the day itself to be able to enjoy the lovely gardens for our drinks reception, there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere created which allowed us and our guests to fully enjoy the day. sauna and dip in their outdoor hot tub, followed by dinner in either the fabulous Woodlands restaurant with stunning views, or their Conservatory bar for delicious Sunday carvery. We were given 6 months complimentary membership to their leisure centre when we booked our date. Our wedding co-ordinator Alina, was fantastic, from the word go, she was a pleasure to work with and gave us so much of her time. Alina helped us to choose a theme, colour scheme, she looked up ideas and got to know what we liked and would email me with suggestions. She saved us money too especially with our garden decorations for our arrivals reception. Alina took a lot of our stress away, being so helpful and attentive. I loved that she was so excited and enthusiastic about our day.
Our wedding day was like a fairy-tale, we had a fabulous day from start to finish, the sun was shining, guests relaxed outside on arrival, in stunning surroundings, nobody wanted to leave the gardens, so beautiful. Our meal was delicious and the service was superb. We danced the night away and some of the staff did too, a big thank you to Sabine who looked after us on the day, so caring and attentive, and put so much work into our preparations and ensuring all of our guests were looked after.
My nana who is not very mobile was assisted to with all of her needs, and cannot stop praising all of the staff. I would highly recommend the Glenview!

Everything from the build up preparations to suggesting those little extra touches that make a difference to being a comfort when external planning gets tough, we couldn't have wished for anything more. overnight so it wouldn't wilt, boxing up the leftover cake and bringing it to our suite, the list goes on! The food was absolutely incredible, I've been to so many weddings elsewhere where the food is just mediocre but at our wedding we had people coming up to us during the rest of the night saying how much they loved the food. The rooms were fantastic too (Ok I might be slightly biased because we had the wedding suite) a lot of my relatives had to travel from the north of Ireland, and they stayed the night before as well as the night of the wedding. They all have very young children and were delighted at how well they were all looked after. The kids were thrilled because they got to use the pool in the leisure centre! Honestly, there's not one thing about our wedding day that I'd change and that's largely down to the wonderful staff at the Glenview. I'd recommend it to anyone! I'd love to go back and do it all again!!!

possible venues to have our special party and none of them came close to the feel and vibe I felt when dealing with you and your staff. As soon as I started to describe what elements we wanted to include at our party, we just felt straight away that you and your colleagues were going to take care of us. Our party was quite a complicated one, with many different elements, such as Casino entertainment, magicians,games,'Grab A Grand' competitions and music but it was never a problem to discuss these points with you and in fact,we never had to make too many calls at all because of the way you followed our requests to the letter. We had quite alot of guests staying at your hotel, another complication which was very easily looked after by your accommadation team and out of those thirty two guests not one of them had a single complaint, on the contrary, many of them would go back to The Glenview Hotel for their own holidays. At the party itself, the staff could not be more attentive. The service was fantastic and the food was only brilliant. Every person there commented on how good the food was and special thanks to the chef and his team for the little extras he added such as the carved food displays and the stand-alone cheese platter displays. To summarise once more Gina, we couldn't have asked for a better venue to have our party at. could not of asked for a better day,and we love going there now at least once a year if we can.I would'nt change a thing about the day.What was special for me is my mother worked in the hotel kitchen in her 20s and i never knew that when i booked it.My mam met Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton when they stayed in The Glenview Hotel years ago.And on my wedding day the staff were so lovely,they chatted to my mam about her time working in the hotel.My mam said it was the most relaxing wedding she has ever been too,it brought back lovely memories for her.I would recommend the Hotel to anyone.
