naturally stressful Nicola managed everything with perfect grace. Our expectations were surpassed by the ease at which Michelin star quality food was served to over 200 people with perfect precision- and we had asked for quite a lot of amendments to the menu! The timing was managed perfectly, we had a stunning wedding outside and every precious object that was placed in the main room was returned in perfect condition. We had a Sudanese barbecue the second day and again, we were amazed at the food quality and the ease at which a large group was served. A special shout out to Ruadhan who was the most helpful and warmest server we encountered throughout the wedding and at breakfast. He made sure that everything was looked after and is an incredible asset to the hotel. We couldn't have asked for anything more and felt so lucky to have gotten such A* service for an extremely reasonable price. I would not only recommend this hotel but will strongly encourage any engaged couple to check it out! We can't wait to go back there and our studio in Dublin will now seem like a shoebox in comparison to the luxurious suite which was impeccably furnished. My parents stayed in the apartments nearby which were also extremely reasonably priced considering the size and amenities. We have now been here on three occasions and cannot fault it whatsoever. never really appreciated how much of a lovely venue it was until our wedding day. Quite a few of our guests travelled from the UK to be with us and stayed at the hotel. All of them have said that they will be back!

As we now live in the UK planning a wedding at home could sometimes be tricky however the team at Inchydoney were always incredibly prompt at getting back to me and responding to my emails. The weekends that I had at home in the lead up to the wedding were limited but Nicola and Olivia were always flexible and accommodating with the appointments that they could offer me to come and go over the details face to face.

The day itself went like clockwork. Having decorated one table myself Nicola and the team dressed the rest of the room perfectly. She even used her own candle holders for me as that was the one thing that I had overlooked. The waiting staff and bar staff were so attentive, no one had to wait to be served at the bar and as soon as anyone asked for anything it appeared. And the food was just amazing!! We chose beef or monkfish as our options and all of the beef was cooked perfectly to every guests specification. There were even seconds and thirds of all the meat and fish. There wasn't one complaint from our 112 guests.

Inhcydoney Island Lodge and Spa was a perfect choice and I would recommend it to anyone planning a wedding.

special as possible. We got the extra surprise of a gorgeous newly decorated function room! The food was to die for and on the day everyone was more than complementary. We enjoyed a evening of tasting with our families and the staff were more than helpful in making the adjustments we wanted! Between the hotel rooms and adjoining apartments there was accommodation to suit everyone to stay, enjoy the night and wake up to such gorgeous views!
The day itself ran so smoothly and if there was any problems and the staff were so professional yet so welcoming to everyone. There was no pressure with timings or deadlines..everything just flowed! We can’t thank and recommend Lisa, Olivia and the rest of the staff enough!

as our wedding venue, was the friendliness, warmth and helpfulness of the staff. We met with Olivia the wedding co-ordinator that first day and got to know her and her colleagues Nicola, restaurant manager Aoife and hotel manager Catriona in the months leading up to our wedding. The staff were so lovely and worked with us to ensure that everything was as we wanted it on our special day. It really made the whole lead up to the wedding day itself relatively stress free and we were more than re-assured that Catriona, Olivia and their team of colleagues had it all under control. Conor and I are forever grateful and we and all of our guests had a truly wonderful day. I could not recommend the venue more... it really is a very special place.

setting, the library, the function room, the view of the sea from the top table... It's just perfect!! From the first time we spoke to Olivia and the wedding team, through to our tasting and on to our day they could not have done enough to accommodate our needs, offer suggestions, work with our plans and always offered advice whenever we needed it. Small things like taking the time the week of the wedding to run through every minute details settled our nerves. On the day from our guests arrival at the drinks reception right though to the meal, evening food etc the service and in particular the quality and presentation of the food was phenomenal. We opted for Fillet Steak ( cooked to each individual's choice) and the Monkfish as the choices for main course, our guests are still talking about the food and service Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa had provided. Olivia was fantastic from start to finish.

We both loved Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa and could not recommend this hotel as a wedding venue highly enough. This hotel is definitely a much see wedding venue!

was thoughtfully planned and executed (plenty of things that I would never even have thought of)!

From the day we booked the wedding through to the wedding itself I couldn’t have been happier. There was no hidden charges or last minute changes that I’ve heard of other people in other hotels experiencing. And on the day itself, Frank and I didn’t have to lift a finger, the staff were ten steps ahead of us at every turn. It was great to know our guests were all looked after and every request was catered for.

The setting speaks for itself and is of course a gorgeous location. Even at the end of October, plenty of guests went surfing swimming and walking the next day!

I would award Inchydoney hotel and all its employees the highest rating possible in any review. They really did go above and beyond and there’s a reason they are so successful in the wedding trade!

ceremony overlooking the sea. At our request, they even brought a TV into one corner of the reception room so that our guests could watch the World Cup match without leaving the party. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended because of the beautiful venue and delicious food. lovely ideas themselves. Every little tiny detail was perfect. They went through everything so well beforehand that on our special day there was nothing to worry about. literally created our wedding function room outdoors and while our drinks reception was taking place in the upstairs lounge, the multiple staff reconfigured our outside ceremony indoors into the most beautiful wedding reception room. Multiple other staff catered to our drinks reception and our guests with practically individual catering – nobody was left without a glass or an aperitif. The most impressive thing was that it appeared effortless – as if they did this on a daily basis.
Of all the hotels we viewed and considered for our big day, the Inchydoney hotel stood out as a venue that would actually cater to whatever we wanted. What stood out to us was that there were no ‘nos’ or ‘maybes’. We constantly heard – yes we can do that or how would you like it done. From start to finish the day was impeccably executed. It is still commented on by friends and family at other food occasions and weddings that the food and atmosphere at our wedding was outstanding. We are not being biased just because we got married in the Inchydoney hotel but we can wholeheartedly say that if you’re looking for a top class venue with breath taking views and the best staff, we can guarantee you that the Inchydoney hotel is the only venue worth booking.

running the day to day goings on of the hotel everyone was so helpful & friendly. Numerous guests at our wedding commented afterwards on how friendly & helpful the staff in the hotel were. Each of the rooms has a beautiful sea view & the bridal suites are just fabulous! I don't even know where to start with how fantastic the food is.......the selection of gorgeous dishes to choose from at the tasting. We chose lamb as one of our mains, which was stunningly good at the tasting but wondered would it translate to the larger wedding number.....it was every bit as delicious on the day.... medium rare or as you requested it....just perfect!! The portion sizes were very generous also & everyone really enjoyed their meal. We also opted for the bbq for our guests for the day after. We got just as good feedback on the food at the bbq. Such a fabulous end to the weekend. I really couldn't recommend the hotel & staff highly enough. I only wish we could get married there every year!!

relatively short notice, I rang in January to book a small wedding for 25 people. I dealt with the amazing Olivia, who ran through everything comprehensively and left me in no doubt that everything would be well looked after.then, 7 weeks before the date we had a change of plan and our small wedding of 25 jumped to 170. Again, Olivia took care of everything and nothing was too much trouble.On the day everything was perfect,the hotel looked beautiful, the food was amazing (really, really amazing!!) and the service was EXCEPTIONAL. We highly recommend Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa, you won't be disappointed.

the leading couple of months to the wedding date our queries were dealt with promptly by Amy & Lisa.
On the day itself everything even the weather was incredible, we got some fantastic beach and headland photographs to cherish, some beautiful pics of the waves crashing the rocks behind us, you wouldn't have thought it was the 30th of December!.
Inside in the cosy intimate drinks reception upstairs in the lounge nothing was too much trouble for the excellent staff, the decor looked splendid and the traditional Irish band we had organised belted out the the mystical sounds of the uilleann and panpipes as the guests chatted and mingled away.It was at this point in the day we broke with tradition and the groom said his speech, we opted to do this in the intimate surroundings of this room and relax into the party atmosphere.
We continued into the newly refurbished ballroom which looked spectacular.Our guests raved about the food and service all day long. The night was danced away,guests left in the early hours after a great day.We are so thankful to all the team for looking after us so well on our journey, absolutely faultless, well done and continued success to all at
Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa, we look forward to our anniversary return.

extra mile to ensure that everything was superb. From arrival to reception to flexibility, Amy Dorgan and her team met our needs. I really appreciated how Inchydoney hotel staff facilitated the French-Irish traditions such as allowing us to have a buffet style wedding. To this day everyone I meet says the food was the nicest they ever had and it was so plentiful and beautifully presented. food was outstanding, almost every guest commented on the food quality and the quantity, it couldn't have been better. The views and the atmosphere in the dinning room were out of this world. We also had a BBQ the following day for our guest and once again we were blown away by the helpfulness and fantastic attitude all the staff shown us. celebrating that I was pregnant with Max in 2010. We always said if we were to get married inchydoney would be the place. From the first time I contacted the hotel wedding co ordinator to see if they could accommodate us to the day we left a married couple the staff at the hotel were a pleasure to deal with.
We didn't tell any of our family or friends that we were get married so the wedding co ordinator was also our witness at the civil service. The hotel help me organise a hairdresser and make up artist to come to our room the morning of the wedding. And as I didn't have a bridesmaid to help me into the dress , Deirdre the wedding co ordinator also came to the rescue and tied up the back of my dress in my hotel room. The hotel organised our ceremony. And even helped entertain our little boy during the time when we were getting a few photographs.
The girls at reception made Max feel very special on the day feeding him strawberries while we were getting our photo taken on that beautiful stair at reception. The intimate wedding we had at inchydoney was made all the more special because the staff and that amazing setting made everything seem surreal. The girls at reception were very excited for us and were interested in how our families would take the news that we eloped to west Cork to get married. They of course we delighted for us.We are a couple who don't like to be centre of attention and our beautiful wedding is remember every day as we are surrounded by beautiful photographs of inchydoney and our special day. We will return soon not as a family of 3 but 4 because on the day I was 3 months pregnant with our beautiful daughter Kaci. Thanks ye were outstanding.

me, from finding me companies that could provide me flowers, car hires to even helping me get a kennel sorted for my beloved dog. The wedding planner Amy Dorgan is a pro at what she does, and how she set up the room the way I wanted with the little direction I gave ill never know, but the room looked amazing. I never felt like what I asked was too much trouble, she was always happy to help me. I stayed in the hotel the night before and myself and my bridesmaids were treated so well, we even got champagne with our breakfast,compliments of the hotel which just added to the excitement of the day. Amy made us feel so special. The food was amazing, and everything flowed so well on the day. For our one year anniversary the hotel invited us back for a nights stay which was part of the package. What we weren't expecting was a 2 nights stay in a deluxe suit with a 5 course meal all compliments of the hotel. The hotel value their customers, and thats what really shows when having your wedding there. I couldn't recommend inchydoney more.

herself in making things happen. Living in London, the entire weekend was planned via emails, phone calls etc., which did not phase Olivia in the slightest; no request was too great. She made the whole process so easy and stress-free which meant we could relax and truly enjoy our day. Many of our guests travelled from overseas (from the UK, USA, and various corners of Europe) and all commented on the warm and friendly atmosphere – it was the perfect location for those who were visiting Ireland for the first time (many of which have said they will be returning!). As regards the food, of which there was no shortage, many of our guests are still talking about it four months later, with many insisting it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Oliva also helped us in arranging a reception the following day, and again, the service and food was exceptional. Later on in the evening, those of us who didn’t want the weekend to end, availed of the atmosphere and (more) food and drink in Dunes bar. Despite being a large wedding, the service was still seamless and the staff were cool, calm and collected at all times! Stunning location, remarkable service and exceptional food. We are looking forward to our anniversary stay already!

with incredible food.

The Wedding venue was looking out at the sea and we had a registry office service which can be held inside or outside depending on the weather. The decor of the hotel is amazing - coastal and calming.

The food was wonderful- when we tasted the menu, they let us make some changes. We were nervous as there were people who love food coming but everyone was so impressed! The menu choice and wine choices were spectacular.

There were no extras at all- everything was included even the table centre pieces which was incredible as other places might have seemed cheaper but when the extras were added in, it was far more expensive elsewhere .

But what really made it was the dedicated wedding planner Amy- everything we asked or worried about was sorted out so quickly- we had some odd requests with helicopters and Seahorse's but they didn't even blink.
I was able to relax and enjoy the entire day. It was so good that we are meant to do it all again and get remarried to each other!!!

I still go back to the hotel a lot and we have booked in for our second anniversary! They even gave us a complimentary stay for our first wedding anniversary.

I loved our wedding. Thank you to everyone in the hotel for making it so special.

our hotel wedding planner, and her team enough for their professionalism, assistance and calmness in planning our wedding day. Living half way around the world we ended up doing a lot of the planning via e-mail, and Olivia ensured everything came together as planned, even the last minute stuff we changed when we eventually met in person a few days before our wedding day.

We actually used the venue for both the ceremony and the reception and events couldn't have worked out much better than they did. We had initially hoped to have the ceremony outdoors in the amphitheatre but unfortunately the weather wasn't ideal on the day. We instead moved the ceremony indoors and in hindsight I think it worked out for the better. The Inchydoney room has a spectacular setting and being indoors probably suited all our guests better.

The food was delicious, and plentiful, while the service was of the highest standard. The location is just stunning and thankfully the weather cooperated enough for us to get some spectacular photographs outside that will last us a lifetime.

It is hard to find fault with anything as the Lodge and Spa went above and beyond to ensure we had the most amazing of wedding days. Everything about the day was fantastic, we couldn't have asked for more, and we can't thank all the team at the Inchydoney Lodge and Spa enough for making our wedding day so memorable.

To be greeted on our wedding day by the owner of the hotel and two managers, in the lobby was also a really nice touch.

Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa was the most perfect location ever, we checked out several others and could not decide where to go. But then we decided to give Inchydoney a try, since I proposed to my beloved wife on the beach it was a fitting opportunity.

From the very first meeting with the sales team, Amy we had the feeling, this will be the best day of our lives. YES! It was, the hotel, the team, the people there did everything to make our day, OUR day! I can say it was the dream wedding! The location perfect, the food perfect, the people perfect, feels like you are under friends and family all the time :)

The most memorable moment we had on our wedding, was 10 minutes before the ceremony, we asked spontaneously if we can get some sand from the beach for our Sand Ceremony, since it was that beach were I proposed, they sent out immediately someone and brought back a bowl of sand before the ceremony started.

If you really want a perfect wedding, then we can highly recommend Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa ;)

As soon as we engaged with the hotel we experienced nothing but utmost professionalism, expertise and reliability. Like all brides, you want your day to be perfect and the good news is the team at the Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa hotel do too! Nothing was ever a problem. Olivia and her team were readily available to answer any questions and accommodate requests. From a very early stage it was evident the team at the hotel had all our needs and expectations surpassed and the entire lead up to our wedding day felt utterly effortless. We never had to worry!

The wedding itself was truly a dream come true. Olivia, Helen and all the team had the hotel created an experience that made a very special day even more special. We were both blown away with the first class level of service afforded to us and to all our guests throughout the day. All the team were so attentive to our guests every need, providing a level of hospitality which made every guest feel welcomed and taken care off. Service was flawless throughout the day, efficient but not rushed, warm and welcoming, we could haven’t asked for anything more. Of course one of the biggest testaments to the hotel is those received from our guests, the amount of positive feedback we got back regarding the food and how amazing it was meant a great deal to both of us.

I can’t commend the team enough at the Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa hotel, it is an amazing hotel in an amazing location offering service excellence through its team and its product. If we could give this hotel 10 hearts we would!!!

Even though the majority of the wedding was planned from New Zealand, everything was on point and went to schedule which is a credit to Olivia and Lisa and their hard working teams. The setting is breathtaking and really gives that wow factor to the wedding.
We planned the wedding from the UK and visited twice throughout the planning stage. Planning a wedding from abroad can be stressful but our wedding co-ordinator Olivia always took the stress away, was able to come up with solutions to our concerns and made us feel completely at ease after every phone call. They really know what they're doing!
We opted to have a taster of the menu and we were able to discuss the changes we wanted with the staff and the chef and on the day the food was absolutely superb. How they managed to do 100 fillet steaks to order I will never know! Many of our guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding!
When it came to the day we were completely confident in the staff at the hotel and were able to fully enjoy the day without having to worry about a thing. We managed to have our ceremony outside which was very special to us. The reception and dinner rooms are perfect, a good size for 180 guests and the set up really promotes a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Its only afterward when you realise the some attention to detail that the hotel takes care of.. The stereo system for the speeches is perfect so people at the back could easily hear the speeches. The dance floor is huge allowing everyone to have their space to dance at the same time. The bar is well staffed, you never waited to be served, they placed small stand up tables around the dance floor so people could still be close to the action if they were wanting to have chats.
It really was superb, we have wonderful memories we shall treasure forever, see you next year! Ian and Vicky

humour and absolutely nothing was a problem. They were always on the ball and thought of doing things before you even asked. A special mention to Olivia the wedding coordinator and Lisa the banqueting manager who were incredible and so well organised. Also a special mention to Ruane who was always around to help us and make us laugh over the weekend. Talk about a great staff! The location was stunning and the ballroom was beautiful. Everyone has commented on how beautiful the hotel and location was and what a great wedding it was. The bridal suite was fabulous and ideal to get ready in. The food was outstanding! Everyone commented on it and were impressed when they came around with extra. The food tasting was such a great experience, they make it so personal and lovely and your biggest problem will be choosing a menu because it all tastes so good! The staff made planning and organising the wedding a dream and took any stress out of it. They are wedding experts and are prepared for any eventuality. As we lived far away, we asked if we could drop some decorative things the week before the wedding and like everything else it was no problem and they were so helpful. We really had the best day of our lives and a big part of that was down to the amazing service and friendliness of the staff at the Inchadoney Island Lodge and Spa hotel. We only had 3 months to prepare for the wedding and from the first communication the staff were so helpful in assisting me to prepare for the wedding, recommending locals who could assist with the preparation and to make the day perfect.

On the day the staff were again most helpful in greeting our guests and making this the best day possible for both us and our guests. The service was great, the location breathtaking, the staff warm and friendly, the food was perfect and it ended up being more than beautiful wedding day.

We definitely recommend Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa to others for their wedding and as a destination resort and getaway.

were a credit to your country these young employees, everyone commented how professional and pleasant they all were without exception.

We came over from London for the wedding and so did about 100 guests from the UK and Europe everyone absolutely loved the whole experience and hospitality they received at Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa it was 'second to none.' The hotel was flexible and accommodating in every request and last minute change, they never saw problems only solutions which made it a stress free day for both Lindsay & myself, we were so happy we choose to get married here.

I know as a result of the whole wedding weekend experience that many first time visitors to Ireland from the UK & Europe plan to return to explore it more.

accommodated a large bridal party. The care and attention of Olivia on the day from start to finish was so professional and understanding. The ceremony was intimate and ran smoothly. The food was unreal, literally people do not stop talking about it. The food came out altogether with all 109 guests. They offered seconds so there was so much to go around and the quality of the food and wine was amazing. Even the children loved the food. The library, amphitheatre and beach for photos was stunning and our photos are beautiful. The quality of the equipment available for the speeches and music throughout the day were great. The reception room perfectly accommodated the meal, drinking and dancing with minimal disruptions. The dancing went on till 3am which was more than we could have asked for and amazingly the room was cleared and everything in boxes by morning. We couldn't have wished for a better day. The service thoughtout the day was outstanding and so attentive that people noticed and gave mentioned it to us since. I can not fault this venue. They gave us a perfect wedding day!

day we walked in to plan our wedding.
Our wedding planner, Olivia, was an absolute joy. Whatever bridal whim I came up with, she somehow managed to bring about.
The day we came in for our menu tasting, we really didn't expect the treat that awaited us. We were literally treated like royalty. We were given our options in the form of a romantic three course meal and lovely wine tastings. We were initially planning to drive back that night but decided to stay at the last minute. the wedding planner gave us a 50 euro discount on our room for the night!
The wedding day itself went of perfectly. The food was divine. We were lucky in that the room was refurbished only the month before our wedding and it was absolutely beautiful. Olivia was on hand all day, helping with everything.
I am so so grateful to the lovely ppl at inchidoney who made my big day truly magical. They acted like family rather than hotel staff.
Obviously we scouted quite a few places before selecting inchidoney, but compared to the usual sterile hotel atmosphere, inchidoney manages to exude the warmth of home.
If I had to do it all over again, there would be no other place id rather go( oh dear, with the same man I mean!!!!) ... 10 year anniversary party maybe?

We live in the UK and had a large number travelling from all different corners of the world, Olivia handled all the logistics of accommodation/booking apartments for us and made sure the only thing we had to concentrate on was enjoying our day.
I have been a guest at a lot of weddings across a wide range of venues and the food at Inchydoney was the best I have experienced, if you don't take my word for it - I was tagged in numerous different posts on Facebook by friends complimenting the beef - it was simply outstanding!!

On the day the usual nerves kicked in but when I walked into the ceremony room & the banquet room I was blown away. Olivia was there to walk the bridal party from the room right to the start of the aisle.
The spa and pool are second to none and the Dunes bar serves the tastiest food.

beautiful establishment, celebrated New Years Eve, Anniversaries, got engaged down there and then finally married and I still cant get enough of the place.

When we got engaged we will admit we looked around a few venues but we kept being drawn back to Inchydoney, we knew that we would not have to worry about the service and quality we would receive and that all our guests would be looked after and boy were we right.

When you round that corner and get that panoramic view of the Ocean it takes your breath away, it sets the tone. The hotel is out of this world, the decor is fantastic and the staff are the best, the food is delicious and the spa is outstanding!

Olivia, you were an absolute pleasure to deal with as was Catriona (apologies if I leave anyone out) you explained everything to us in great detail, you were willing to negotiate, any request we had made was not a problem to you and you had patience of a saint! You made us feel so welcome each time we came down to visit, even when I came down with friends or family to stay in the lead up to the wedding the whole team made us feel so welcome, from management to reception to the waiting staff to the cleaners, everyone had a smile on their face for us, greeted us warmly and were willing to help with any request or question we had, simply outstanding.

I know many members of my family and friends had not been to Inchydoney before and following on from our wedding they cannot wait to return, it truly is a little oasis.

We honestly cannot thank you all enough for what truly was a spectacular experience.

from abroad and the minute they set foot in the hotel, they were immediately made to feel at home. Many of our guests commented on the wonderful reception and the real Irish welcome that they received. The location and scenery itself is breathtaking and for people visiting it is a wonderful taste of Ireland. We got the most beautiful photos on the beach just outside the hotel. On the wedding day itself, everything was seamless and the staff could not do more to help us. From the morning getting ready, to leaving for the church, returning and the drinks and evening reception, everything was very relaxed and clearly under control. Now for the food!! Our guests are still talking about the food, with many commenting it was the best food they had ever received at a wedding! I thought it was fabulous at the tasting but secretly wondered could they pull off the same quality for a large group of people and they certainly can!!! The evening was fantastic with the hotel helping with all the organization and timing with speeches, the Irish dancers and the band. Many of our visitors stayed for the BBQ the following day, where again the food was top class and there was great craic to be had in the Dunes bar that evening. Those with sore heads the next day were able to revive themselves with a gorgeous walk on the beach. Organizing a wedding from London I thought would be tricky but from start to finish the hotel and Amy went above and beyond to help me, with local recommendations or advice and made the whole process easy. My new husband and I absolutely loved our wedding day as did all our guests at Inchydoney, we would definitely recommend it as a superb wedding venue.

sea and were thrilled with our photographs.The food was beautiful,some guests commented that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding!The lamb was melt in the mouth and the seabass was absolutely delicious!Everyone commented on the variety of veg and the fact that they were offered more of everything.

A lot of our guests also commented that the breakfast the following morning was lovely.They appreciated the fact that they were not rushed and again said how friendly all the staff were.

The rooms in the hotel are fabulous too,all of them are overlooking the sea!The wedding suite is fantastic.It's very spacious and was perfect to get ready in,on the morning of the wedding.It was amazing having my hair and makeup done while sipping champagne and looking out at the sea!

Spa made our wedding day the most magical and perfect day and there is not one thing I would change.
Prior to the big day itself, my fiancé and I had numerous meetings with the wedding planners at Inchydoney. Every time we met with them they made us feel like royalty. They listened to our needs and requests, nothing was a problem. I always left these meetings feeling assured and calm but most of all I felt that I could trust them. This made the whole planning experience so much easier, knowing that I could rely on the team at Inchydoney. They provided us with advice and support along the way. For every email I sent with a question or query, I got a swift reply. I was never left wondering or unsure. No question or worry was too silly for the wedding planning team. One day in particular that stays in my mind is the day we went to Inchydoney for the menu tasting. We were treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived. Needless to say, the food was outstanding. Again, the staff advised and listened to us, but most of all, they understood how special our day was to us.
Unlike most couples, who say the week of the wedding is stressful, we had the opposite. When we arrived in west cork for the week of the wedding, all the staff of Inchydoney were excited that we had arrived, they wished us well every time they met us in the corridors, they asked every time if there was anything they could do for us. All these things may seem small but they matter the most. Sometimes I think it’s the little touches that make the perfect day. For example, the hotel reserved car spaces for our elderly guests so they wouldn’t have far to walk, unfortunately, on the day, the weather was not kind to us, however when we arrived at the hotel, we were met with hot towels to dry off. All the staff were at the door to greet and welcome us and our guests. Again, something that is small but it stands out, one member of staff met with my Dad and she helped him work the microphone as he was worried about it for his speech. These are things that I didn’t even know happened until days later when I was chatting with family. It just shows how much the team cared about us, they wanted everything to be perfect for everyone, and they wanted everyone to have the best experience in inchydoney.
Overall, I can’t speak highly enough about the staff at Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa. While all our guests raved about the delicious food and drink at our wedding, the reception food, the cocktails and the beautiful setting, for me it was how the staff made me feel and for the bride and groom that’s the most important thing. You want to feel special, you want to feel that your wedding is the most important wedding in the world and you want to have confidence in the hotel and staff and a laugh along the way.
To Helen, Lisa, Jack and Amy. Thank you for being so patient with me and my ideas. Thank you for your kindness and warmth. For your help along the way. I’m sure you’ve had hundreds of weddings since ours, but for James and I, we will remember our day forever. We will always remember how you made us feel. through to the day itself, always responding promptly to emails and calls. No request was too big and she was always so pleasent and calm. We received so many positive comments from wedding guests about the quality of both the food and the service. Second and even third helpings were available for those who wanted them and there was plenty of wine to go around also. The beef, according to some guests, was the nicest they had ever tasted. The staff are so well trained and professional, delivering a level of service I would say is comparable to what you would receive in high-end hotels. The schedule from drinks to food to band and DJ ran perfectly smoothly. Our bridal suite was amazing, with magnificent views of the beach and lovely little extras also in the room for us. I could not recommend Inchydoney more highly; they score five stars on every front including location, decor, rooms, service and food.

The venue were happy to liaise with supplies, help with and provide any request and were very flexible with us which we found reassuring. wanted to discuss anything. We were facilitated in tasting as many dishes as we wanted when trying to choose our wedding menu. On the day of the wedding, our guests raved about the standard of the food and mentioned that the food was plentiful and the wine was flowing so we were delighted with this aspect of the Inchydoney experience. In terms of accommodation, our guests were very happy with the quality of the rooms and the hotel is in one of the most beautiful places in Ireland; right on Inchydoney beach. The only issue we had was that a lot of guests chose not to stay in the hotel due to the cost of rooms in the hotel. The hotel did reduce rooms rates marginally but our wedding took place on the August bank holiday weekend. The views from the bridal suite were amazing and while it was lovely, we stayed in a 5 star hotel in another part of Cork for 2 nights after the wedding and the delux room in that hotel matched the bridal suite and the bathroom was far bigger and nicer than the bridal suite in Inchydoney. However the bridal suite was complimentary on the night after the wedding for us so this was a lovely touch. Our experience of the staff team as a whole was brilliant; all our guests commented on how friendly and helpful staff were in Inchydoney. The breakfast, like our wedding meal, was absolutey beautiful and served in the beautiful dining room overlooking the sea. The decor, service, location and food make Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa the best place to get married in Clonakilty in our opinion and we are very glad that we chose this venue for our special day. We would highly recommend this venue for any couples considering getting married in West Cork.

that was nervous she really did make me feel so much more at ease. I would recommend this location for so many reasons. Location, the quality of food, the help from the staff, the rooms and bar staff during the wedding and in the reception bar. All our guests were raving about every detail and we had no complaints at all. We were lucky to be able to have our civil service there also as and what an amazing setting. was our coordinator and was outstanding from the first day we met her to the day of our wedding, with having two boys of our own some things didn't go to plan but with the help of Amy, Julie ,Ciara and Brendan they sorted out the little hiccups and got me up the aisle!!!!!
We knew the food was outstanding at Inchydoney and on our wedding day it didn't disappoint all 110 guest were raving about the quality of the food and the portions, some said it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding.

with many of our 220 guests commenting that it was the best meals they had ever had at a wedding and I would have to agree. Meat dishes were cooked to individual preferences perfectly, something which is very rarely an option at a large wedding. denied! These included a German buffet, an animal entertainer, a photobooth, and a whole turn-over of the room from a ceremony space to a reception within 2 hours.

Amy and Lisa co-ordinated the whole day perfectly - they thought of everything, including little touches that we didn't even think of, such as a parking attendant for the guests as they arrived for the ceremony.

The morning of the ceremony, the bridesmaids and I were given everything we asked for - staff were were really helpful in bringing us extra chairs, mirrors, food and drinks up to the bridal suite. Amy and Lisa lead an absolutely fantastic team of accommodation, waiting and bar staff who always had a smile on their face and couldn't have been more helpful both on the wedding day and throughout our weekend in Inchydoney.

The head chef Adam did a fantastic job of preparing an amazing meal. Guests are still talking about how well cooked the lamb was to their taste, and how they were even offered seconds! He also did a great job of putting together and decorating the cheese for our 'cheese cake'. He even served our German buffet personally on the night, for which he had ordered in a wide variety of specific German foods we had asked for (and even some we didn't). It really impressed all our guests - especially the Germans!

Amy, Lisa and all the staff in Inchydoney went over and above to ensure our wedding day was the most amazing day of our lives. We are incredibly grateful to them and we cannot recommend them and their beautiful hotel highly enough.

The food was plentiful and outstanding and the service from the staff was truly exceptional. Lisa in particular did a brilliant job running the floor on Saturday night. This isn't just what we thought as our guests are still raving about the spectacular setting, how great the food was, how there was so much attention to detail as well as how friendly and professional the staff was. Many commented that they will return for another stay.

knew it was going to be a wonderful weekend from the warm welcome we received from the front desk staff. We had our ceremony in the 'Inchydoney' room which didn't feel like just any function room; it was nicely decorated and they made great use of the windows & the spectacular views of the beaches. Our guests were really taken aback by the amazing setting and said they felt so relaxed. The food at our reception was fantastic; our guests raved about the quality and taste. The setting was fabulous and the food was delicious but really what made the weekend such a success was the staff. Amy and Lisa and all the staff were brilliant. They were so professional & friendly throughout the weekend, whether you met them in the corridor or in the restaurant for breakfast. And they ensured our special day went off without a hitch! We would definitely recommend Inchydoney if you're looking for something really special.

Our guests have not stopped talking about how good the event was, how amazing the staff were, how much food there was and how well they were all looked after. We highly recommend Inchydoney to anyone planning their wedding. We also attended the wedding fair at Inchydoney prior to our wedding and this was really good to get a sense of food options, table/room layouts, wine lists, etc., so we recommend others attend similar events if possible. The packages that they offer are really reasonable too in terms of price and the various inclusions.

staff were a dream to deal with and our guests have said the same. The food was excellent, top class, we had beef cooked to order and sea bass. The beef was cooked exactly as requested by our guests and the fish was light and delicious. Our guests were given as much food as they wanted and second helpings. The food at the pre reception and afters was also superb.

The setting was so romantic over looking the sea. Amy a manager at Inchdoney co ordinated our wedding, she was a pleasure to deal with and so helpful. She was there from the moment we arrived with a glass of champaign and was with us every step of the way, she was so kind and so helpful, and a total professional. We still beam about the beautiful weekend we had and how amazing the hotel was.

went above and beyond to be polite with nothing ever too much trouble. This was not just to us as a number of our guests commented on how friendly and helpful the staff were. The hotel is in the most perfect setting with fantastic views and is immaculate inside. The standard of food from the hotel chefs was spectacular. The most tender lamb cooked to order, to the amazement of more than one delighted guest when rare came as ordered! We are very excited at the prospect of returning for our anniversary weekend and dinner. If you are planning your wedding, look no further than here as there is no better setting or hotel you could choose for your special day!

Amy and her staff couldn't have done more for us, not only on the wedding day itself but throughout the whole planning process. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly,helpful and efficent.

We arrived at the hotel on the Thursday before our wedding and we were looked after every step of the way so much that we were able to relax and enjoy the lead up to our big day knowing we were in expert hands.

Our family and guests are still raving about their Inchydoney experience. The food and service on the day was absolutely superb and there was certainly no shortage on the portions.

We would highly recommend Inchydoney as a wedding reception venue and we cannot wait to return for our first Anniversary.

We arrived at the hotel after the wedding ceremony and were greeted by staff with champagne and strawberries on arrival. We moved upstairs to the luxurious lounge area for the drinks reception where we met our guests. We had a seemless transition into the beautifully presented dining hall which has amazing views.The food was served with great efficiency and in abundance! Everything was cooked to perfection, all the guests raved about the wonderful food and the service was outstanding. Helen, our wedding coordinater on the day, was absolutely fantastic and made us feel totally at ease, attending to our every need, and even getting down on hands and knees to clean the brides dress before the drinks reception! There are also plenty of great areas for photos, both in the hotel, on the adjoining beach, and on the beautifully redesigned headland.

We would strongly recommend choosing Inchydoney as a destination for any wedding reception.

Above all, Inchydoney's staff were what made our experience a great one from start to finish. We planned our wedding from the U.S. and Amy, the wedding coordinator, was always available to answer our many questions throughout the process. She returned our emails right away and was able to accommodate a variety of requests and changes, plus she provided suggestions, referrals and photos of other weddings at the hotel to help us plan as needed. On the day of the wedding, she kept things running smoothly and seeing her standing in the background throughout the ceremony and reception allowed me to really enjoy the day, knowing she had everything under control. The entire staff was more than helpful, even going so far as to bring a TV for the corner of the function room so that our guests could watch the World Cup match that night without splitting up the party, which we had been worried about.

We loved everything about our wedding and are so glad we chose Inchydoney. They made our day beautiful, memorable and almost completely stress-free.

wonderful location Inchydoney is, and even though our wedding day was wet and miserable, it made the place even all the more romantic inside looking out! But what I was most impressed with was the level of detail and attention we were offered. Amy, Ciara and all the staff were so welcoming, not only to us but also our families. They have endless patience!
In the lead up to the wedding we never once felt stressed or worried about how everything would go and on the day itself, we were relaxed in the knowledge that everything was thoroughly in hand. Aurelia and all the waiting staff ran the meal and the function room so professionally, it was amazing! The food was without a doubt one of the best meals I have ever had, and all of our guests are still raving about how good it was (and there was some very fussy eaters there). And a particular word of thanks to the bar staff who kept the bars open very (very) late two nights in a row for us!
We couldn't recommend Inchydoney highly enough for a magical wedding day. We are just eagerly awaiting our complimentary first year anniversary weekend there now!
