We were organising our wedding all the way from Australia and Fiona could not have made the whole process any easier. She called us from Ireland and emailed regularly. She put us at ease from the very first contact made and Sean and I knew we were getting married in the right place which allowed us to enjoy the time leading up to the wedding rather than worry about the general details.
The staff catered to our every need and nothing was ever a problem for them. Fiona ensured every last detail of our wedding day and the days leading up to it were all perfectly organised from decorations, flowers, help to find wedding bands and DJ, last minute changes to the guest list, catering to guest with special dietary needs, etc.
The hotel was even so kind as to let me leave my wedding dress, shoes and jewellery safely at the hotel as I was travelling around the country visiting family and friends and was worried I would ruin or possibly lose my dress.
If you were to get married at The Lady Gregory, I can guarantee you will be more than 100% satisfied with the beautifully decorated hotel combining quaint and modern decor, delicious food, incredible food and fun atmosphere.

us that- we got the lamb, sea bass and chicken! The food at arrivals, along with the music and drinks was gorgeous.

The decor was exactly what I envisioned and more. The banquet room looked amazing and while 305 sat it was still intimate. They had little extras that totally complemented our theme and created a great atmosphere throughout the day and night (and early morning).

The staff were all so friendly and helpful and there were no delays at or lulls in the day.

The music went on until we wanted and there was no end to the resident's bar!

If you want to have a brilliant wedding with great food, staff, all night music and drink this is the place to go. I have absolutely no complaints.

guests over from London who couldn’t get over how nice the food & canopes were, they loved the decor & their rooms & spa. They kept taking photos in the reception area & stairs as the decor provides such nice backgrounds in pictures. but Olivia and the team helped us with everything, not just hotel related. The extras the hotel provided are second to none, sweet carts, wedding props, centre pieces - you name it they have it!
With such a choice on the menu the wedding tasting was an excellent idea and helped us decide. The food on the day was amazing, everyone still compliments it when talking about the day.
The one aspect that will stand out for us all were the staff. From Recp to management to bar to waitresses, it was just amazing how everyone went above and beyond to make our day so special, nothing was left unturned and everything went like clockwork.
Not just an amazing hotel but an amazing attention to detail and genuine passion of all involved make The Lady Gregory a top class Wedding Venue choice.

entertain the children and they gave us a small function room complimentary for that.

The food was out of this world, all our guests still talk about how nice it was and how there was plenty of it.

Olivia arranged a sweet stand for us last minute at a very competitive price it was a lovely addition to the arrival drinks and evening treats.

Nothing was too much for the folks at the lady Gregory and they helped us out so much,our room was stunning also,

All our guests who visited from the UK were blown away by the hotel and it’s amazing customer service.


The newly refurbished function room is beautiful,the reception area and tourists ahev also been refurbished to a high standard.

The price packages have something to suit everyone and you definetly get value for money.

thought of and Fiona and Olivia were able to help us out every step of the way. We met them on several occasions and even if we had a question we were able to drop them an email and they got back to us straight away. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, its 5 minutes away form Coole Park which is ideal for photos, the function room is amazing and they can change the colours on the ceiling to suit your theme. All of the little touches they did made it look so amazing on the day, little candles, veils, backdrops, it all looked incredible. The food was incredible and every single person at the wedding commented on it at some stage, it was so delicious and no was left hungry, even when we went for our tasting we turned it into an evening at the hotel. The staff in the hotel can not do enough for you and everyone addresses you by name and has a smile on their face, all of these little touches mean so much on your big day. We can not recommend this hotel high enough, we can guarantee that you wont be disappointed.

moment we walked in the Lady Gregory Hotel doors, until we left, two days after our wedding. No question was too silly, or no idea was too crazy. They accommodated all our needs, and more. They even took our vendors numbers so that we wouldn't have to deal with any potential problems on the day. We can honestly say, not one of us worried about our wedding reception, as we knew Olivia and Fiona would manage everything.
On the day, the room looked so beautiful. The food was gorgeous, with so many of our guests commenting on it. It was tasty, plentiful and timely. Our guests also commented on the exceptional service and friendly staff. We have to say, we really were treated like royalty, which made us feel extra special on the day. We actually found it hard to leave!!!
We would highly recommend the Lady Gregory Hotel for a wedding. It is just exceptional!!!

The hotel looked amazing.
Olivia, personally, took charge of all the decorations , candle's in beautiful lanterns, flowers everywhere , centerpieces for the tables , sash's for the chairs etc etc WE HAD NOTHING TO DO !!!! It was exceptional service...

The food was exceptional.
We had the usual mix of 120 guests, some with special requirements, allergies, the usual mix - nothing was an issue for the kitchen. All the food was delivered as expected, tasty, brilliantly prepared and every one of our "special requirements" was catered for.
To be honest , we have eaten in the Lady Gregory several times before and since the wedding and have only great feedback for their attention to their menu and food preparation.

The staff were the friendliest you will find anywhere.
From the first moment when we inquired about having our wedding at the Lady Gregory to the day after our brilliant day we have to say EVERY one of the staff made us feel welcome and part of the family. Nothing we asked for was a big deal and they spent a fair amount of time with us making sure every aspect of the wedding was covered.
They even put us in contact with some great local suppliers and saved us a small fortune in some areas !!

The rooms were perfect.
The team block booked a large amount of rooms for our guests and really looked after us on rates etc.
Every one of our guests raved on about the hotel & facilities and to have our family and friends around us late into the evening was an added bonus, it gave us a chance to put the feet up, relax and enjoy the last hours !

My wife and I & our guests had the best day and we cannot thank Olivia , Alan, Fiona & the staff enough - THANK YOU SO SO MUCH !!!

the most perfect day .

We also had our second day celebrations at the lady gregory hotel .and again they gave us a perfect day . Set up .decorations and buffet was incredible .even put on extras for us when we had more guests then planned show up .

presentation. The whole day went by smoothly and was stress free. Throughout the build-up and preparation of the wedding, we were treated as if we were the only wedding that summer! So much thought and effort was put into every detail from the table center pieces to the set up on arrival. A massive thanks to all the bar, kitchen, serving and reception staff at the lady Gregory. Our day would not have been the same without the great effort made by you all. We would both highly recommend the Lady Gregory as a wedding venue.

Your help on the day was more than we expected and went beyond our expectations. With the lack of organisation from myself, you helped everything fall in to place. Everyone has been raving about the quality of food.

From the initial meeting with your staff right through to the morning after they catered to everything with enthusiasm and passion. We had our menu sampling some months before and where treated like v.i.p.s, it took a lot of stress off knowing that even at that early stage that the professionalism of the Lady Gregory, and its staff was showing through.

fabulous, we were speachless at how elegant it looked with the beautiful centrepieces and blue lights to reflect our colour theme. The meal was outstanding, all our guests complimented the portion sizes and how hot the meals were coming out. A big ‘Thank You’ to the kitchen staff on that. The waiting staff were friendly, polite and very efficient when serving tables which put us at ease as we could see our guests were very happy. Our guests were also very pleased with their rooms & with the complimentary facilities of The Swan Leisure Club. There is only one word to describe the bridal suite snd that is “WOW”. The management team did a super job in organising our wedding and we could not be happier. Overall we feel that The Lady Gregory Hotel is a gem hidden away in a small rural town but we can safely say you would not be disappointed if you stumbled across it. We wish Olivia & Alan, The Management & Staff all the best for the future.

incredible they served 235 people for our big day and every plate was served hot and absolutely perfect. Olivia and Alan catered for all my needs, including over 60 guests flying over from England to stay in the hotel. My friends and family said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The staff at the hotel are smart and professional and very helpful. The main function room was just brilliant, set up for our band with a stage, it has a huge dance floor. I couldn't have asked for more of the lady Gregory hotel, just wish I could do it all over again.

guests were well looked after with canapés and refreshments with no shortage of either. The reception hall was like a wonderland,lit up to our preferred lighting and the tables and chairs decorated down to the last detail.
The meal was generous with seconds and some guests had thirds with no problems from the excellent waiting staff and most importantly the meal was hot on arrival. Some guests who preferred the Vegetarian menu gushed with praise for the choice and quality afforded to them.one of these guests is a top chef from London, so take a bow ladies. Senzeni and I along with our guests were given a truely wonderful day out.

answered so quickly. When our wedding day came around, everything was perfect, just as I had imagined. the food was delicious as always and our guests were just as impressed as we were. I would highly recommend the Lady Gregory Hotel for a wedding. Olivia, Fiona and all the staff we dealt with were very professional and so welcoming. It was a really personable experience. We love calling in for dinner when we are passing now, it always brings back lovely memories. We still feel as welcome as we did on our wedding day.

wonderful in helping us to bring our ideas to fruition. They are so warm and so approachable, no job was too big or too small! They made the planning and the day itself completely stress free and made us feel so special.

They did a beautiful job in decorating the function room and reception area on the day, and to our pleasant surprise, decorated the room again the following evening where we had some nibbles and drinks with our remaining guests.

Our families and guests were very impressed. They loved the food and their rooms were beautiful. A group of our guests and ourselves stayed for two days after our wedding and two of our recently married guests pointed out how impressed they were with the special treatment we continued to receive even in the days following our wedding.

We had such a wonderful and memorable day thanks to Olivia, Fiona, Alan and all the staff at the Lady Gregory Hotel. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

wedding in the Lady Gregory Hotel & from that day on I always said I would get married in this hotel. It definitely lived up to & surpassed all our expectations.

Fast forward ten years and the day came to call in and have a chat about our wedding. Brian was there at the time & I have to say he was a credit to the group with his knowledge and ideas. Kate was on hand to take over after Brian left & it was a very smooth take over.

Gerard & I had alot of ideas about what we wanted to do & to take place on the day & Kate took them all on board & helped us make them happen. She was so helpful & obliging in all our little details& nothing was too much for her & her team.

We were extremely impressed from start to finish. We would sincerely like to thank all the staff from the front desk, waiting staff, chefs, bar staff and management for being so attentive & for helping all our guests to have the most enjoyable day possible.

Timing was a big thing for us & I have to say with 280 plus guests it was a MASSIVE credit to Kate & all involved to get our guests seated, fed & back up after the meal in 3 hours. It was one of the many things our guests complimented you & your hard working staff on. I would also like to thank them for working around the very lively guests we had while the violinist Patricia Tracey was playing. A huge thank you to the chefs who worked so hard behind the scenes in getting the beautiful food out, it's a credit to ye as every one of our guests complimented ye on how fantastic the food tasted.

This is an extremely well run hotel and the assistant manager Kate has a fantastic team around her. All credit to all who give THE LADY GREGORY HOTEL the reputation it truly deserves.

immpression on me. When Tom and I got engaged later that year, first and last stop was the Lady Gregory Hotel. We met with John and Kate and we also attended the Wedding Show. We were sold! Throughout the course of the next 2 years we were at the hotel for different occassions & everytime we were there, John and Kate always stopped for a chat & to see how the wedding preparations were coming along. In the months, weeks & days leading up to the wedding we were dealing mainly with Kate. No request was to big or too small & no question was stupid. Kate went above & beyond for us, down to matching our table names with appropritate pictures on the table numbers which was a lovely surprise on the day as I was not expecting this level of detail. She completely took responsibility for our wedding. All we had to do with any of the other suppliers was direct them to Kate & everything was sorted, it cut out a lot of the organising and running around for us. On the day everything ran seamlessly. I had ordered breakfast from the hotel for all the people at my house to save cooking & it could have fed nation, it was very welcomed and set us up for the day ahead. On arrival to the hotel after our photos, everyone was well settled in & so relaxed. All the guests were raving about the hotel, the food and the staff. We were directed at every turn and we didnt have to worry or think about anything, we just got on with soaking up the wonderfulness of our magical day. Kate really took great care of us & Brian Kelly did a fantastic job in rounding us up when we were needed. I highly, highly, highly recommendation the Lady Gregory Hotel, their experience really shows in the lead up to and on the day.

to suit everyone's taste, the guests were delighted with the cocktails.
The meal and service was out of this world, while we had a large crowd for the meal, the food was divine and the service was excellent, all our guests were full of praise for both the service and the meal at the hotel.
The function room itself is beautiful and the ceiling is breath-taking, the mood lighting is built into the ceiling and works very well.
All the staff at the hotel were both pleasant and polite, and were extremely helpful.
The residents bar was brilliant and the staff at the residents bar are to be commended, the food that came out sometime between 3am & 4am was beautiful and plentiful. Again a lot of people commented on this to us that it is very few hotels that provide this service.
From the first moment we met John and started organising the wedding, he was understanding and extremely helpful. He listened to what we wanted and made it happen. He was a joy to work with and made everything stress free and easy.
I cannot praise and commend the management and staff of the Lady Gregory Hotel enough, for making our wedding day so special.

The food was amazing and the two lovely ladies serving us could not be more friendly or helpful. The hotel feels warm and welcoming. I am back to work now and everyone who came are still talking about the food how lovely and hot is was, how much choice there was (thanks to John). The room was just so magical the mood lighting is an added extra. The hotel itself was located so near to us but we felt we were away in our very own wedding bubble. The staff are so nice from the ladies severing the food to the lads working in the residents bar very helpful. John asked me the morning after was it everything I hoped it would be and I told him it was better than I could have wished for. Thank you all for a wonderful wedding day. Its a pity you only get to do it once!!!!!

arranged to meet with Brian who was very thorough, he went through all the various packages available, gave us lots of extra information for other aspects of our wedding planning. We knew after meeting Brian, going through everything and having a tour of the hotel and bridal suite etc that this was the best place for our wedding 19/9/14
We booked the hotel and relayed our wishes to Brian, he listened and took note of how we wanted things and we conversed by email mostly on the lead up to the wedding, anything the hotel needed to know or check with us they would email or call, they didn't leave anything to chance. We finalized the menu in the weeks before the wedding and we went through the final details and we were happy that it was all under control and we could relax in knowing that it was all been taken care of professionally and to our satisfaction.
The hotel was so welcoming when we arrived on the day, everybody had been taken care of and when we saw the function room we were in awe, it was exactly how we wanted it, every little detail covered, everything was laid out perfectly and as we envisaged, I couldn't believe it was so perfect, we were thrilled.
We had our speeches before dinner and John had the microphones at the ready and everyone prepped on the format of things so everything was very easy and relaxed. Dinner was outstanding, everybody was offered seconds, the wine glasses were kept topped up as we had asked and everything went so smoothly. The waiting staff were excellent, very pleasant and attentive.
Thanks again to everybody at the Lady Gregory hotel for helping make our special day everything we had dreamed of and more.

Thank you so much for all of your help with the planning and organisation of the wedding.

Just to say we both had a fantastic time on our wedding reception. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who were all very accommodating and friendly on the night. Many of our guests commented on the comfort and care they received.

A massive thank you to the Chef for the amazing food also. The meal on the day was absolutely perfect; we would like to thank you for your unfailing patience in helping us with our meal choice and also the effort of preparing something so unusual like the passion fruit sauce for the Salmon.

Finally thank you so much again for the patience, especially with all the unexpected delays that we had on the day. Everything was magical!

choices on the menu to satisfy everyone's taste, even with fussy eaters/food intolerances etc...
The staff were really helpful and carefully stored all our bits and pieces after the dinner including the disposal cameras etc, even some of food service people helped in taking the photos!!
We were delighted with the food, quality of service, room sizes and the arrangement of the table plan which was especially sweet.

He took so much stress out of planning the wedding and was so thorough and professional; it was easy to relax in the lead up as we knew everything was been sorted by John. hot whiskeys went down a treat. The piper was class. organised coming up to the Big Day, between organising & making suggestions for our Tasting Dinner & ensuring that everything we suggested for the Menu was catered for, to confirming all our wedding entertainment, it was all part & package for Brian,
On the Day itself Brian was there, even though it was a Bank Holiday weekend & again the following morning, he greeted us, All of our guests were overly impressed with our wedding, from the pre Dinner Drinks & Entertainment, right through the whole meal, nothing was any trouble, the wine constantly flowed, there was seconds constantly offered, the Music started timed to Perfection, the Floor & Bar was constantly packed, right up until the Residents Bar which was hopping until early Morning, it was most sincerely one of the Best weekends of our Lives & that is definitley down to the Management & Staff of the Lady Gregory Hotel:)
