The feedback from our guests about the food & service was exceptional. The full menu was delicious and everything ran so smoothly. From the drinks reception right through to the sit down meal it felt like it really was a perfect day.

Thank you again for being so professional to deal with & also so approachable, this was particularly important for us when organising the wedding from Australia.

We cannot recommend Muckross Park Hotel highly enough for a wedding & stay. Hopefully we will get to stay at Muckross when we are home again.

The decor that they offered with their wedding packages was beautiful. The bridal suite was brilliant - from having enough space for 6 adults to get ready to still being romantic for the bride and groom. They even had our room decorated for us with rose petals and another bottle of Prosecco after the wedding which was a nice touch. All our guests were thrilled with their rooms and spoke about how lovely the rooms were.

It is an absolute dream to have your wedding here. I can't thank the staff at Muckross enough, they really made our day. Nothing was too big or too small for them. Special shoutout to Orla, Niall and Oisin who were absolutely fantastic.

Big plus, they were really flexible for any changes we made and everything just ran smoothly. If I could, I would relive that day over again and again at the Muckross.

The biggest stand out for us is the staff in Muckross; every single time we stay, we are made to feel special, so well looked after and worries do not exist - and our wedding weekend was absolutely no exception. From Orla and all of her help throughout the planning to her calming presence & attention to detail on the day, to Niall who made sure the food and drink was amazing & rolled with our delays on the day, to the waiting staff and bar staff (special shout out to Estelle and Laurs who really looked after us and our guests and ensured we could keep the celebrations going!), to every single member of staff we interacted with - pure class each and every one!!!
The setting is second to none; not only do you have the beautiful hotel grounds themselves but you are a minute away from the stunning National Park. There is no comparison to any other surroundings! Every single one of our guests are still talking about our gorgeous wedding and Muckross Park Hotel, everyone was so impressed.
We are not from Killarney, however this didn't have any effect. Throughout planning, Orla (and the rest of the Muckross staff) were exceptionally accommodating, so pleasant and just made planning so exciting and enjoyable. I could not recommend more highly! You will absolutely not be disappointed if you choose Muckross Park Hotel for your special day - but I can assure you, you will regret it if you don't!!!!

The Abbey Suite was an absolutely magical setting for our reception, after a fabulous drinks reception outside in the garden. The food was incredible and multiple guests told us it was the best they had ever had at a wedding.

The location of the hotel (right beside the national park) means that we were easily able to get beautiful photographs with our families and bridal party without missing too much of the party. Orla even arranged jaunting cars to take us to the park (and packed up some food and drinks for us to enjoy on the way), which is a lovely memory itself from the day.

5 stars doesn't even begin to cover the level of service and attention to detail shown to us during our stay! One of our suppliers cancelled on the day of the wedding and Orla went out of her way to find us a replacement photo booth provider so the problem was solved before we were even aware of it.

We can highly recommend having your wedding at Muckross Park Hotel. Can't wait for our next trip to Killarney to stay there again.

On the actual day all the staff were amazing and spoiled us. Joanne in particular was very attentive at serving our dinner table and keeping everyone’s glasses topped up. She was particularly good at reminding me that my dinner was on the table as I kept wandering off to talk to people.
The venue itself is so beautiful. We had the wedding ceremony in the atrium which was perfectly spacious for our 125 guests and turned into a wonderful drinks reception. We had the dinner reception in the abbey suite and the decorations were gorgeous!! I can’t express enough how beautiful it all was.
The food was DIVINE! Everyone of our guests commented on how yummy every course was. The wine as well was gorgeous.
The bridal suite was so comfortable, clean, luxurious and breakfast in bed the next day topped it all off!!
Overall I cannot recommend the MPH enough!! Whether it’s for a wedding or a holiday, it really is the best hotel in Kerry! If I could do it all again I would 100% do it in the MPH

global pandemic to the mix, and it could have been a recipe for disaster. Our experience was quite the contrary. The past couple of months have been challenging for everyone, including the hospitality sector, who have had to close their doors for months on end. When I went to meet Orla, in July of this year, I was blown away by the professionalism and positivity she possessed despite this. She made the process of planning our special day, during such uncertain times, stress free and enjoyable. No request or question was ever an issue. She was always available to meet or take a call to discuss anything, from seating plans to center pieces. She was there to meet us when we checked in the day before the wedding, visited the bridal suite to see if we needed anything when preparations were underway, and she greeted us with Prosecco when we arrived to our drinks reception. She was so considerate and attentive throughout.
We are so grateful to Niall for his support on the day. His attention to detail is impeccable. He was always in the background, ensuring every aspect of our day went smoothly. He went above and beyond to facilitate any request we had.
We were so happy to introduce our family and friends to our favourite place. They have spoken so highly of the beautiful surroundings, magnificent spa and exquisite food. Most of them are already planning to return.
We want to thank everyone, from the reception team, restaurant and bar staff, staff in the spa, cleaners, concierge, but most importantly Orla and Niall, for the most amazing weekend in Killarney. It is one that we will never forget.

The rooms were decorated beyond my expectations, the food was sublime and how they managed it all, bearing in mind covid regulations, without taking away from the magic of the day, was exceptional. Orla, Niall and the team are to be commended for their diligence and support. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day, and were very complimentary to how it was all put together.
Slightly adjunct, but related, the rooms in the hotel, the suite where myself and Noel stayed and the rooms where the guests stayed along with the option of apartments for families, were beautiful and comfortable.
The entire experience was beyond my dreams, and for one who does not like the limelight and somewhat dreaded the day I would do it all again, and that is largely down to Muckross Park Hotel!!

Serving such a range of foods to such a large crowd at weddings can be a challenge, one which they and Scott, the chef, definitely rose to. Some of our family members had all three main courses!
What really made the day and venue so special was the setting of the abbey suit. Its medieval and rustic vibes really suited our autumn wedding. We wanted to feel like we had a warm and intimate setting, and that is just what we got. The abbey suite is a truly unique, and a beautiful wedding venue. It takes a community to raise a child, and it definitely takes a community to plan and execute a wedding. All of the team at Muckross Park Hotel and a role in making our day a dream. From Caroline in reservations, Niall on events decorations, to Orla, the wedding coordinator. I had a lot of decorations, and a very detailed idea of where I wanted everything, and Niall really delivered. The patience of Niall is every brides dream. Orla took over our wedding shortly after taking her new job at the hotel. She was amazing. The level of detail and step by step planning that she did with us was amazing. She was amazing with every detail. Right up to a few days before the wedding. From what glasses the sorbet would be served in to where we could place the cherry blossom tress, her attention to small details is what every couple should experience. She met every demand and made sure the room was set up a day in advances so that we could come in and see everything for one last time. Muckross Park Hotel is a five start wedding venue.

Orlaith, Niall and Madina were all absolutely amazing. Orlaith did a fantastic job of organising everything and reassuring us during a very challenging time. She thought of everything, and was a dream to work with. Niall was an absolute pleasure to deal with, he went above and beyond, and all of our guests dietary requirements were met. The food and service were impeccable. I felt completely relaxed for the day, because Madina had everything under control. She did this lovely thing where she excused Tommy and I away from the drinks reception to look at the ballroom set up for fifteen minutes. It gave Tommy and I twenty minutes to soak it all in, and enjoy the moment. We are so grateful for this. In essence, I couldn’t recommend Muckross Park Hotel enough as a wedding destination. especially in the middle of a pandemic!

We had planned for a big wedding of over 200 guests, but had 25 on the day itself. We initially were going to use the Valencia Suite but after having our food tasting in the hotel in early December, we got a tour of the Atrium set up for an intimate wedding so we changed to that room. It was perfect! From all our dealings with the hotel, every single member of staff were so accommodating and nothing was ever a problem.

On the day of the wedding, Niall was there to help us out - he was incredible and very attentive. We didn't have to worry about anything, everything was thought of and catered for.

All our guests commented on the personal touches, the attention to detail and the kindness shown by all members of staff. The hotel was decorated so beautifully for Christmas - I would definitely recommend a Christmas wedding there!

We would recommend the Muckross Park Hotel without a doubt, we can't wait to come back and visit soon! Thank you for making our wedding day just perfect!

I just wanted to write a quick review here about booking our wedding at Muckross Park Hotel this month. My fiancé and I, like so many other couple who recently had the excitement of getting engaged were faced with the task of finding a venue for our big …

day without getting to visit it in person.
We knew we wanted Killarney as our destination, it’s a beautiful part of the country and has so much to offer us and our guests during our wedding celebrations.
We listed a few hotels that we felt would best suit our day and Muckross Park Hotel stood out for us. We loved the look of the Atrium and outdoor area for hosting our drinks reception and the ballroom looks spacious and elegant for our dinner and dancing!
We have been corresponding with the lovely Bernie from the start. She is extremely helpful in answering our questions. She also reassured us that she understood how difficult it was to commit right away having not had the chance to view the hotel. She gave us the time we needed to think about everything and do some research. Which we hugely appreciated.
We have had phone calls and zoom calls with Bernie. She has provided us with lots of names of suppliers and couldn’t be more helpful in helping us make contact with these suppliers.
Now that we are all set with our venue, we are thrilled to move forward with our plans. We are so delighted Bernie is our co-ordinator, who genuinely seems invested in us having the best day ever!

The wedding itself was absolutely amazing, even though it was completely different to the wedding we had originally planned, I cannot emphasise enough how much ourselves and our families enjoyed it. The Christmas décor was absolutely beautiful and created such a lovely setting. The staff were unbelievably helpful and accommodating and provided top quality service. The food was just amazing and our bridal suite and guest rooms were beautiful. We also felt very safe in the hotel, management and staff did a great job with COVID19 safety measures.

Wedding Venue
We got married in Muckross Park Hotel in September 2020 and had the most wonderful celebration there despite the covid restrictions we had to accommodate.

Suite at the Muckross Park Hotel we were blown away.

The rooms and setting have a real wow factor to them. We meet with Bernie our wedding co-ordinator who talked us through all the wedding packages and options they had to offer. She was able to recommend other vendors including Tie the Knot for flowers and Joanne Henderson for hair, both of whom were fantastic on the day.

Our initial wedding date was cancelled due to lockdown in April but thankfully another date for September 2020 was organised. We negotiated the changing Covid restrictions with Bernie and altered our wedding plans accordingly.

The day went off without a hitch. The sunny weather allowed us to hold our drinks reception in the beautiful Atrium garden with the added bonus of jazz music being pipped out there too.

The Valentia Suite was set up to perfection by Madina our function manager on the day. We were all lost for words with how beautiful the room looked. Even with our guest numbers having been reduced to 45 due to Covid, Madina had arranged the room to feel full and everyone commented on how spectacular the venue looked.

The wedding meal served was of 5 star quality and all our guests commented on how delicious the food was. The service by the staff was brilliant too, ensuring everyone had plenty of wine and water and that the steaks were cooked to the guests liking. The hotel manager Fritz was also present during meal service to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Muckross Park hotel has all the features of an amazing wedding venue! We would highly recommend the Muckross Park Hotel to anyone looking to mark their wedding day in a special way in Killarney.

very kindly met with us – unplanned, that first evening and that was the beginning of our very special journey with both Bernie and the hotel.
Over the next year and a half, we made many trips to Muckross Park from Galway and each time, we were made feel so welcome and treated like royalty. We knew that we were in the most incredible hands and when we met with our wedding co-ordinator Madina, we felt as if we had won the lotto! She ensured that each and every detail of our wedding was organised with exceptional professionalism. While she is incredible at her job, she also makes you feel as if you have known her forever. She is extremely personable and not only are you in the hands of an amazing wedding co-ordinator, you also gain a very good friend, who is there for you throughout the process.
Each and every member of staff whom we encountered along the way made us feel as if we were V.I.P.’s. They carry out every aspect of their jobs with the highest of standards and always go above and beyond their duties. From the fabulous accommodation, to the impeccable service, to the most delicious food, we could not have asked for more both in the lead up to and on our big day. Our wedding guests still talk about the beautiful hotel in the heart of Killarney. We felt as if we were living out a true life fairy-tale during our wedding weekend and the staff at Muckross Park played a massive role in that.
We will be forever grateful and only wish that we could do it all over again! The staff are absolute experts at what they do and any couple who is lucky enough to have their wedding there, is truly blessed.

In the months following on from that, Daniel and Bernie could not have made the planning any easier. The attention to detail and support from them in our follow up visits to the hotel to plan our special day was incredible. engaged couples that she was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel. They have different packages that suit all budgets and they can cater for different size weddings as they have two venues that suit intimate small weddings to larger weddings. Bernie listened to all of all requests and worked tirelessly to give us everything we dreamed of and more. The wedding events that they held during the year were all amazing. We loved going in to see the rooms and decor and try the food and get a taste of what was to come.
They have beautiful gardens which thankfully we were able to avail of and a private atrium for the drinks reception which is away from other hotel guests and interruptions. In the atrium we had our canapes, drinks reception, sweet table and pic a magnet photographer. You are given a specific wedding coordinator to help with your planning and we were delighted to have been given Madina.
The service we received on the day was incredible, Madina laid out all of decor at the drinks reception, it looked amazing and it looked just how I imagined it. Brides put a lot of effort into the small details and I could not have been happier to see all of my items so well laid out. We will be forever grateful for Madina and all of her hard work, this was evident before and during the wedding and she made some great suggestions leading up to the planning. The also allowed our hairdresser and beautician to use the spa area the day after which was a big help.

Overall we really did feel like we got the 5-star treatment and we will continue to recommend the hotel to every single person that gets engaged. It was really an amazing day that exceeded both of our expectations.

The thought of planning a wedding in a different county seemed hard-work until we met the team at The Muckross Park Hotel and we immediately knew that that was our venue.

We initially met with Bernie(Wedding Sales Manager). We were welcomed with warmth and professionalism and she informed us all about the venue and facilities the hotel had to offer.
From there our wedding planning with this 5 Star Hotel began and it was seamless.

The wedding team, primarily Bernie initially and Madina Zikare, our wedding co-coordinator that was assigned to us from the hotel were always on the other end of the phone or email answering many questions and offering help and advice to plan the day to perfection. The Muckross Hotel provided us with the personal touch and dedication to our wedding event that the majority of hotels cannot offer or commit to.
The venue, decor, food, drinks were all customized to our preferences.
We had full trust in the venue and staff that the day would be unforgettable and it truly was.
As we stayed in the hotel the night before the wedding, the wedding co-coordinator visited me the morning of and made sure all was in order-I even handed over my dress to the front desk to be steamed downtown the morning of the wedding-which in hindsight was madness but again I knew the hotel and staff were completely on the ball and had everything covered.
It was a 5-star day in a 5-star venue with 5-star staff and we are truly grateful for this.

WOW! James (our wedding coordinator) has the unique ability to allow you to follow your wedding vision but also add excelling ideas, advise etc! It was like having our own Franc! ill the day before the wedding, we had to change plans at the last minute as a result and they made a difficult thing seem easy.
The food was absolutely brilliant and our guests commented on the quality. In particular one guest who is a severe coeliac was praising the fact how well he was looked after and the options available to him.
Prior to the service the went through all aspects of the day with us including options depending on weather for the brides entrance, drinks reception and photos.
Everything went to plan and our guests had a great time the day of the wedding and the breakfast following on the day after.
We could not recommend the venue and especially the staff highly enough! We'll definitely be back down there again for a weekend break!

The hotel did everything for us, from venue decorations to table plans to menus etc, it was very much all inclusive and there were no hidden extras. Staff (especially Bernie and Niall) highly professional, helpful and always available to us in the lead up. Meal was great, all guests very happy and no shortage of food/drinks on the night. Also a great set up with the residents' bar until 4am.

We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather on our big day and most guests were able to sit outside for the drinks reception and enjoy the sunshine. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and very much a 5 star standard. A lot of our guests stayed in the 2 bedroomed apartments on the grounds which are only a few minutes' walk from the main hotel. These are very handy for families and good value. The spa is lovely and handy if you've a rainy day the next day like we did! A few guests also used the free bikes and went for a cycle in the National Park.

All in all cannot recommend Muckross Park highly enough for your wedding.

Just wanted to thank all the staff at Muckross Park for making our wedding so special. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were greeted with a 5 star service and smiles. The level of detail and attention we received was something else. We were not very happy with the food tasting at first …

but they ensured that by the end of the tasting we were satisfied. On the day of the wedding the food was absolutely superb and noted by a number of the guests. I wanted a Gin Bar and Cheese board which Muckross facilitated, while I provided the supplies, Muckross set the stations up to perfection and they were the talk of the wedding, well the Gin Bar was!!!!
We had both pre and post wedding receptions at the hotel and once again the service and food was fabulous. I must say Kevin and I felt like movie stars all weekend, as everyone was at out beck and call and everyone knew our names!! It made the whole affair very intimate.
Muckross provides a friendly yet very professional service which is exactly what you would expect when you are planning one of the most important days of your lives. The most important thing for me was that my guests were happy, full and merry and they were all the above. In fact they said it was one of the best wedding ever, if I don't mind saying so myself. But this was largely due to Muckross, I was able to sit back and relax and set the tone of the wedding while they did all the hard work.

professionalism and thoughtfulness of the staff ensured no details were overlooked. Communicating with the wedding team was never an issue despite the different time zones, as they were always willing to accommodate our requests.

Our ceremony was held in the atrium and when we saw the space on the day it was breathtaking. The venue certainly oozes character, and the wedding day decor provided by the hotel added to its charm and created our dream wedding venue. Thankfully, it didn't rain so we were able to host our drinks reception in the lawn which created an incredible atmosphere.

The service by the whole team was truly excellent from start to finish. Everything was well organized for the wedding dinner. The room was spectacular and full of character like the rest of the venue. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food tasted.

We would highly recommend The Muckross Park Hotel to any couple who want to have a real 5-star wedding experience.

We held our drinks reception in the Atrium and guests had the option of sitting outside also in the beautiful garden. The Valentia Suite for the evening reception was just beautiful! The hotel ensured that each detail we had requested was fulfilled. Everything ran smoothly on the day. James, our wedding manager, was just fantastic! He went above and beyond for us and was such a great help in the weeks before the wedding. We really enjoyed working with him and to have that personal touch throughout each step just confirms how excellent a hotel the Muckross Park is.
The wedding menu selection available is excellent and the food (as always!), amazing. Our guests are still complimenting the meal/wine and how much they enjoyed each course. We had a wonderful experience at our food tasting and enjoyed the attention to detail provided by the staff when helping us to make our decisions.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms the utmost of comfort, the location is outstanding, and the spa is by far the best spa we have been to.

We got married on 17th March 2017 and although it rained for most of the day we had the best day of our lives. We had a humanist ceremony in the Atrium followed by the reception in the Abbey Suite. We also had our day after celebrations in Jarvey's Rest. The food and wine on the day was perfect with plenty to go around. Niall was a pleasure to deal with, always professional, laid back, and took the stress away from us on the day. Joanna was there right until about 10pm (it could have been even later) on the night of the wedding. She made sure everything went smoothly. We then had a night manager with us until we finished up at the residents bar who was also brilliant. We were lucky with the weather on the day so we had our drinks reception outside - everyone is still talking about how beautiful it was. There was plenty prosecco and wine including in our package. The food was perfect - we had a few coeliacs and the staff were very attentive to them. We had a seafood tart for starter and they even made a few of them with gluten free crust for our coeliacs. The hotel rooms were beautiful. A lot of our guests enjoyed the spa the day after the wedding - they all loved it. There are lovely apartments on the grounds of the hotel which were great for some families with kids - and even a few groups of friends who wanted to do self catering for the day before and after the wedding. I could find absolutely no faults with the Muckross Park Hotel. I would recommend it to anyone looking to have their wedding reception in Killarney.

She was a superstar from the beginning in terms of planning. Joanna stepped in for the logistics and organisation in the run up to our wedding and by the day of the wedding, she was one of the faces I was most excited to see when we arrived at the hotel. Both Julien and I felt like we had a friend looking out for us. She was professional, warm, running everything with absolute precision and the highest of standards, and yet somehow, she still seemed to enjoy herself. With Joanna and in fact all of the Muckross Park Hotel Staff manage a wedding reception, you are absolutely in the best of hands.
The reception was decorated really really beautifully, full of little touches to make it special, the food was absolutely sublime and we had very high standards for this with somewhat specific requests.

with Bernie we were sold for our September 2016 wedding! Bernie made it so easy. She took care of everything I could imagine and more, putting us in touch with local vendors like Micheal O'Sullivan Photography, the Irish Rat Pack and Danielle at Tie the Knot Weddings. Bernie arranged for hair and makeup, dress pressing and transportation into town. The one and only issue we did have was hotel guests getting the wedding rate. We had 120 guests from the US and all over Ireland coming, and there was misinformation given to some when booking. We ended up having to get involved to get it sorted. Bernie took the time to skype with us often and was always quick to respond to emails. As the wedding got closer, we were introduced to Niall who would be there on the big day. He too was great. Niall went over everything with us and took care of every detail. Our hotel room was gorgeous. The spa is heavenly. We had a civil ceremony followed by a drinks reception in the Atrium. It was a beautiful day so we were also able to take advantage of the adjoining garden. Dinner and dancing followed in the Abbey Suite. The food was amazing. Everything was as ordered, and service was seamless. The room did get a little hot once the dancing started, and I had to ask a few times before it was cooled down. The staff at reception was beyond accommodating. The day after our wedding, Shane (I'm pretty sure) had collected all of our keepsakes like the wedding topper and bouquets. At the time of checkout our extra favors were nowhere to be found. Not a huge loss, right? Well, Shane found them and posted them to the US. Niall also sent our wedding announcement from the newspaper. Everything exceptional!

We had multiple follow up with various people in the hotel from Bernie, to Joanna (Wedding Manager), Caroline (accommodation), Andres (restaurant manager) not to mention all the great staff members we met throughout the buildup and on the day. I couldn’t fault any of them and they really make the experience extra special. Everytime we visited, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would recommend attending any of the pre-wedding events the hotel runs as it gives a great sample of the food and how the venue will look on the day. In terms of the wedding itself, it was a great success. There were multiple little surprises and touches that greatly helped. We stayed for 4 nights over the wedding and we’d highly recommend it. The Jarvey’s Rest is a great spot for people to meet the day before and also the day after. The separate Jarvey’s kitchen went down a treat for our guests on the day after. But the day itself was the highlight, from the rooms, staff, food and how we were treated throughout the day. The setting is beautiful and the weather even behaved. It was a great choice and we would highly recommend it. We hope to get invited to a wedding there ourselves in the future.

Our recollection of our wedding day is one of absolute bliss, happiness and just downright contentment at a fabulous day - an occasion that was …

everything we could have ever wished for. This all came about as a direct consequence of the fantastic work of Joanna Rosiak and her team at the Hotel.

We both recall vividly meeting Joanna for the first time, she instantly put our minds at ease. We knew that she was going to take proper care of us and you could feel the passion and pride she had in her job by just generally chatting with her. Her knowledge and attention to detail was just a great source of comfort for us - we already knew at that point that Saturday, June 4th, 2016 was going to be what it ultimately turned out to be - 'A Day from Heaven'.

From the menu tasting to the function room set-up, everything went like a dream. At menu tasting, we actually felt like we owned the hotel, we were made feel so welcome by the restaurant staff. We both have rarely experienced the level of attention we received that night at our tasting.

As time moved on, obviously stuff was coming at us thick & fast - priests, churches, flowers etc., but it was source of huge relief knowing that our stresses were NOT going to be added to by anything going remotely wrong at 'our' hotel.

Our guests loved the hotel and the dining experience they got was met with universal approval - everyone had a fab time.

We felt that the staff at the Muckross Park treated our wedding as their 'Raison D'être' for the duration of the time we dealt with them. They do their job because they love it (Chris the Concierge take a bow) and I can't over-emphasise how much of a family the Muckross Park staff are - this shined though always.

We cannot recommend the hotel and the staff enough and having Joanna as our co-ordinator was the icing on our wedding cake.

The banqueting manager Niall was very attentive and made sure all went to plan. He was on hand throughout the day to guide us through all the little details. He was fantastic to deal with and was even present the following evening for our after party in the Jarveys rest. The food and wine was superb with some rave reviews from our guests. The venue looked amazing .The atmosphere in the atrium and the Abbey suite was fabulous. So many guests commented on the venue and how different the reception drinks area was. We stayed for three days in total and the staff always engaged with us and made our stay so enjoyable. We are genuinely so happy we booked and would highly recommend the Muckross Park for weddings. I wasn't sure if Joanna was really all that interested in our wedding (Sorry Joanna!!!), but actually after a few chats, she soon showed her true warm heart and we felt completely taken care of. :)

From start to finish, Joanna had such attention to detail. Obviously, we had never planned a wedding before so she brought us through everything and pushed us along to ensure we didn't miss any steps. We had our own Ceremony in their Oak Room, our drinks reception in the Atrium and then our dinner in the Valentia Suite. I am a bit of a Make'n'Doer, so I had lots of jars, hand crafted pieces and decor, and I went through with Joanna on where I wanted them to go and so forth. She did not miss ANYTHING! The Oak Room was beautifully decorated, and when we were finished in the Oak Room, she moved the decorations into the Valentia Suite so that we could enjoy them for the rest of the evening too. We also wanted to do a fun "Walk In", and Joanna had organised the music perfectly and even turning down the lights. She did not miss anything.

The night before the wedding the bridal party stayed in the Innisfallen Suite. It's a lush room which can fit about 3/4 people. The only thing about this room is that theres a stairs in it, and the beds creak upstairs and that is over the main bedroom. So I, the bride, got little sleep because one of the bridal party was a restless sleeper!! >_< Maybe choose another room, or don't use the upstairs if you have a tosser/turner in the bridal party. ;)

Aside from how amazing a wedding planner Joanna is, the staff in the Muckross Park hotel were fabulous. We can't thank the Muckross Park Hotel enough for everything.

on site the room had great big majestic fire place and great big windows floor to ceiling just so beautiful and intimate - my family was blown away. Immediately following the ceremony we had drinks and finger food outside patio area - again the space was quite and intimate - perfect for our guests - perfect also for all the children we had in attendance - they got to run around and have fun while we took pictures and just enjoyed the day - never once had to think twice about serving our guests - the staff was on point and extremely attentive. We then moved to the formal dining room and had a beautiful meal - again the staff was extremely professional and attentive . Then breaking from tradition we headed to a priviate room off the bar - couple of hours later my Mom realized we never cut the wedding cake - at eleven oclock that night - it was not a problem - the dining room staff cut and served us the cake in the bar - it was unbelievable - both the cake and the service. I would highly recommend Muckross Park Hotel for you wedding. It was also great that we all stayed in the self catering apartments and walked over to the wedding as a group. Also special mention to Joanna - she was our wedding coorindator for the weekend - she was extremely accomodating - and never let me see her sweat. (something else!) to the accommodation, Bernie, Daniel, Caroline and all the staff were fantastic. We had our ceremony in the beautiful Atrium along with our drinks reception outside with live music. We also had a horse & carriage with champagne take us from the hotel to the National park to have photos down by the lake and then onto the Muckross Abbey which was beautiful and something we will never forget. For me (groom) the whole day was incredible, from having breakfast to relaxing at the Spa to getting ready at the beautiful apts which I highly recommend for the groom, was superb. Walking to the Atrium with everyone waiting to watching my wife coming in was something I will cherish forever.
Our dinner was a big highlight (still people talking about it) food was delicious, excellent choices and the service again was fantastic. Our band had us dancing all night and what better way of waking up the next morning to a couples massage. All in all a 5star wedding at a beautiful, relaxing and professional run hotel. A weekend we will never forget.

Our wedding coordinator Daniel is a true professional in every sense of the word nothing was a problem for him, we met with him several times over the last year to discuss different elements of our wedding. On the day he was there to make sure everything ran on time and to a very high standard. Everything went to plan and we cannot thank Daniel enough for making this happen.

We had our wedding here mid-October 2015. We have to say that it is truly a wonderful venue. We had first visited the hotel after trying a number of others in the Cork/Kerry area, and it comfortably ticked all the boxes we wanted. We knew we had made the right choice at the menu tasting a few months …

before the wedding. It was an experience in itself with an extremely professional & knowledgeable host going through our choices.

Since we’re both from Cork, our biggest consideration was having our guests travel down. But without doubt, it was the best choice we could have made. We felt like it was a wonderful experience for everyone and a real treat to get away for a few days. Even though our numbers were relatively small, the Abbey Suite, and the Medieval Atrium were perfect, and even though these rooms could take more people, they seemed tailor-made for our wedding.

A big thanks to Niall, Daniel and all the team, especially for being so willing to make changes to the tables when unfortunately some guests were unable to attend at short notice. The food was exceptionally well cooked, and brilliantly presented. With second & third helpings if people wanted them.

The hotel is really of a very high standard, and there are no compromises on quality. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the various rooms around the hotel are really fantastic. A lovely relaxed environment with five star quality. Its also great to have a traditional Pub attached to the hotel too !
And we can truly say, without exception, every one of our guests had a fantastic time there.

Anyone who is familiar with Killarney knows when it comes to choosing your wedding venue there is abundance of hotels to choose from and but from the first day we walked through the doors of the Muckross Park there was no contender in our minds it immediately won us over.

The hotel itself has soon much to offer any bride and groom and it ticked ever box for us, it was out of the town, its set in the backdrop of the national park, its directly across from one of my favorite places to visit in Killarney 'Muckross Abbey' which we used as our main photo location, its has plenty parking, loads of accommodation choices from singles, to family interconnecting rooms, luxury suits & apartments & as my husbands family is from cork it was important to have this choice with so many people travelling. We loved have the use of two function rooms for our wedding, for us it meant it kept the day moving and changing - 'The Atrium' and 'The Valentia Suite'.

When it can to selecting our menu Daniel & the team were so helpful, they took on all our suggestions & they gave great advice. Throughout our planning they were so helpful with my 101 questions, so flexible & always available to us when we needed them.

On the day Daniel ran the day like a dream - service was fantastic, the food was amazing & there wasn't a dry glass to be found! All our guests raved about the hotel, staff, food & service & some said it was the best wedding they were ever at and the Muckross Park had a big part to play in that.

I cant thank Daniel and team enough for making our dreams come true, I couldn't recommend having your wedding here enough !

to deal with as were all the staff at the hotel. Every time we visited the hotel while planing the wedding we were treated as if we were their most important guests. All the staff at the hotel really couldn't do enough for us and in particular James & Daniel. At the wedding all of our guests commented on how well they were treated by the staff with many of them saying they'd never been so well looked after at a wedding. We couldn't fault the meal that was served and nearly 4 months later we are still being complimented and told how nice the food was-"nicest meal ever" is something we hear a lot. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with many of our wedding guests planning on returning in order to really enjoy the facilities such as the fabulous spa. Being located in the National Park we were able to get beautiful photos so close to the hotel and the hotel itself has a gorgeous garden lit with fairy lights & we were also able to get stunning pictures on the grounds of the hotel, so this hotel really does have it all. Something that I cannot over look is that on the day of the wedding one of my husbands relatives was taken ill (nothing serious thankfully) and we will forever be grateful to Niall for making sure everything was kept going seamlessly in the function room with little fuss while Daniel looked after our unwell guest and ensured she received the highest of care. She herself has said the treatment she received from the hotel that weekend was second to none. The hotel itself is beautiful - the rooms are all lovely and the setting is gorgeous - it was fabulous for our guests to be in the middle of the National Park. The reception room, we chose the Abbey suite, was just stunning as was our location for the drinks reception in the Atrium. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day so our guests were able to sit in the lovely garden which was a great place for photos as well.

The food on our wedding day was spectacular. We had the pleasure of tasting so many beautiful dishes before our wedding and eventually narrowed it down to a number of delicious choices for our guests.

What really made the Muckross Park special for us was the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff. From our very first day visiting, to the day we left, 3 days after our wedding, we never ceased to be impressed by the quality of the staff. Daniel O Connor who organised the whole event for us was a star. Nothing was too much trouble and he looked after every detail no matter how small. He took care of everything meaning we could relax and not have to worry about a thing. The rest of the staff were fantastic as well - couldn't fault them.

The food was amazing and there was no shortage of seconds. Friends are still talking about the lovely meal they had at our wedding.

The staff of the Muckross Park were incredible. The staff of the spa were extremely kind and generous with their time also. I can only praise our experience of the Muckross Park Hotel. If I were to plan a wedding again I wouldn't look any further than the Muckross Park Hotel.

So Niall and all the staff at the Muckross thank you so much for everything, I will be recommending the hotel to all our friends who will be getting married in the future.

was fantastic to deal with. Everything we contacted him on he would promptly answer us. Always good advice and suggestions. We both felt so relaxed and had no worries as we knew everything would be done to a high standard and just how we asked. We had a spiritual ceremony in the Abbey Suite of the hotel. All the little touches that were added by him and his staff were beautiful. Candles, rose petals, red carpet, the flower arrangements they provided were just what i asked for colour wise and look wise. I had got a few decorations encase they wanted to use them and he used them all and moved them afterwards into the banqueting suite which was a lovely touch. Even down to the staff checking on us every hour or 2 that morning as we got ready in the hotel. Asking if we wanted anything to eat or drink. They brought a trolley load of things to snack on all through the morning. The food was amazing and some people even said to us that it was the best wedding meal they had ever had. Plenty of food and drink, came round with 2nds for the meal. Some also said it was the best wedding they were ever at. Everything just flowed so well in the hotel. We also had a BBQ the next day for about 35 guests and there was plenty of food and it was so tasty. There was a wedding the night before mine but it didnt matter as they have 2 identical suites so i could keep ours for the 3 nights we were there and get great use and enjoyment out of it. They are completely in tune with your needs and have a really well run 5 star quality hotel. We felt i got it all and have great memories of our day. Thank you so much to Sean and all the staff. I got married on 27th July in Muckross Park Hotel and the day was perfect.

I cannot rate this Hotel highly enough. I would urge anybody that is in two minds to select this Hotel as the service/facilities/food/setting was second to none.

Sean O'Driscoll our main point of contact was incredible …

and really made us feel at ease at every stage of the wedding. Sean even collected my best man on the Muckross road at 6 am when he was lost, he stopped, picked him up and looked up where he was staying and dropped him back to his B&B.

helpful & accommodating at all times. Any requests were addressed immediately, without delay. Sean was very thorough & ensured every detail was cared for. For example, the floral table arrangements followed the same theme as the bouquets, incorporating the same colour scheme & flowers as our bouquet. There were several beautiful areas in the Hotel to take photos and we in particular got some great shots at the spa gardens by the river. I would absolutely recommend this hotel as a wedding venue & myself & my husband were delighted we chose this venue. We had our wedding at Muckross Park Hotel in April 2013 and we were very happy that we chose this venue. The staff, in particular the general manager Sean, were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Many people commented to me afterwards about how nice the staff were, without being OTT. …

They genuinely couldn't do enough to help us. The hotel itself is lovely, there are nice backdrops for photos both indoors and outdoors, the lake is just across the road so its convenient for pictures and any of the suites/bedrooms I saw were fab. We had our wedding in the upstairs function room with drinks reception beforehand in the atrium and everything was beautiful on the day. The hotel provided floral arrangements on the candleabras complimentary and we also had the option to chose any colour of sash for the chairs if we wanted to do a particular colour scheme, which I thought was good as those are all little costs we could do without. Overall I thought the price of their wedding package was the most reasonable of any 5 star hotel I had looked at, and I had looked at nearly every one in the country. They were very flexible and willing to negotiate, be it the price or the menu. For example, they let us chose a dessert that wasn't one of their normal options and they gave us a good deal on the BBQ for the day after the wedding. I would highly recommend Muckross as a wedding venue and I look forward to going back there again in the future.

the weekend the staff were excellent - they made our parents feel very special when they arrived and couldn't do enough when a member of our party fell ill. Ted - the concierge - could get Muckross 5* on his own in our book. The food and service at the reception highlights too and the room looked beautiful. Niall and his team were super-efficient with the service and we got lots of positive comments about the quality of the meal from our guests. The flexibility to let our guests with children order their meals from a menu at the table was much appreciated too. The only (very minor) potential area for improvement would be the wine choices offered - we're not experts but felt they were a bit lacking relative to the very high standard of the food. However, the corkage charge is very affordable so were easily able to order in our own wine and champagne. Muckross gave us good advice on how much we needed and sorted everything out once it was delivered to them. We'd happily recommend Muckross Park to anyone.

due to visit, as we had more or less decided on another venue. But this all changed when we visited the Muckross. The hotel itself is just wonderful, such a perfect wedding venue. Karen, the hotel's wedding co-ordinator, was just outstanding to deal with. She made it very clear from the outset that she would like our business and that she would help us in any requirements we had. She totally kept her word, nothing was ever a problem and she was always available, approachable and accommodating during our 6 months of planning the wedding. We also dealt a lot with Daniel, the general manager at the time, and I have never met a manager so hands on and helpful. He was exceptional. The staff really took the stress out of the wedding organization and planning! We thoroughly enjoyed our day on Sept 23rd as we knew the staff had everything under control. We got so many compliments from our guests afterwards on the venue and the staff but most importantly on the wonderful meal, so huge thanks to Niall and all his team. Finally thanks to all at the Muckross park for really taking care of us and making our day so special. We cannot recommend the staff and the hotel highly enough.
