couldn’t have been happier as it looked even better than the photos. Its truly beautiful and unique, something we felt couldn’t be matched by anywhere else, and booked it there and then.

What really stood out for us from the moment we arrived for the 1st time, was Mark and his teams flexibility, especially as we were organising our big day from outside of Ireland within 5 months. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt that we could make the day ours with little touches. Also their communication during the planning process couldn’t have been better, emails were being sent at all times of the day and night and always promptly replied too. The team are clearly geared up for weddings and could make great suggestions, for instance they recommended our band. Maybe we are biassed but we thought they were the best wedding band we have ever seen and our guest said so too.

We both felt that the teams management of the day was incredible, everything ran onetime without anything seeming rushed and just flowed perfectly which made us feel at easy. Even us arriving early from the church didn’t faze the team and they were ready and waiting for us.

We both thoroughly enjoyed the rehearsal dinner and we must say that we felt the food on the day was even more exceptional, which is incredible thinking how many people they had to feed. The service was second to none on the day and our guests with special dietary requirements were well looked after and commented how good it was.

Overall we can truly say that without the team at Raheen House our day wouldn’t have been as special to us. We hope to stay again in the not too distant future and arrange other family functions there.

are extremely well maintained and provided a gorgeous backdrop for our photographs and the walled garden with its quirky gate and wild flowers was the perfect space for our ceremony. The food was delicious and the bar service was excellent.
It's the little things that really make a difference and we met wonderful people who were extremely friendly, professional and attentive to everyone – young and old.
We could not recommend Raheen House Hotel highly enough and we consider ourselves very lucky to have celebrated our wedding day there.

lovely warm and relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect wedding venue for us. Mark and all of the staff could not have been better to deal with and while being super organised and professional, were also so relaxed and personable, contributing to the lovely relaxed feeling at Raheen House. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the small little things that we asked them to do on the day were already done before we even had to ask. The majority of our guests, like ourselves, were unfamiliar with the venue in advance, but we got so much positive feedback from everybody - they absolutely loved the venue and the flow of the house for the wedding, from the outdoor areas for the drinks reception, to the gardens, to the lovely reception room with the patio outside. The food at Raheen House is top class and the menus are great value for the quality of product and service that you are getting. It's a truly wonderful venue, with great staff and a lovely atmosphere, and we could not recommend it more highly for your wedding day.

I have discovered it can't be done.

The guys at Raheen made us feel like we had come home to get married and had a team who treated us like family to help us every step of the way, and we needed a lot of help!

Everyone still says how much fun and how relaxed and pleasant it was, from ages 2 to 92 everyone was catered and cared for.

The food was out of this world.

5-star service with the most personal of touches. Just need to think of the next reason we can celebrate something there. Mark, Clare, Niamh and all the team, thank you so much for sharing our day with us and making us feel so special.

Niamh was absolutely amazing on the day. She is such a credit to your business as are all your staff. I genuinely couldn't believe the little details that she thought of.The venue was beautiful inside and out, we appreciate how much work goes into making the rooms and grounds look so pristine.

We couldn't have asked for any more from the staff at Raheen, not once. From the word go the manager Mark, who coordinated with us on our wedding, was a pleasure to work with. His lovely manner puts you at ease, and he was flexible to accommodate our ideas, but also giving a lot of valuable advice along the way. Everyone at Raheen is pulling in the same direction - the result being that all of the staff are excellent.

Another strength of Raheen is the food. Many of our guests commented that the food was the best they'd had at a wedding, and others that the steak was as good as their favourite steak restaurants. Service was swift and smooth.

Thanks to their organisation, everything ran without a hitch. Thank-you to everyone at Raheen because we really couldn't have asked for more.

wedding that reflected our personalities, it had to be fun, and relaxed. The team at Raheen house delivered this completely. There was zero stress on the day. The team at Raheen served almost 150 people a fantastic buffet, including warm brownies and apple crumble for dessert. A wonderful touch. The venue is the best there is, with something for everyone, a great dance floor, and lots of areas for people to sit and chat. We also added a marquee which allowed us to use the function room solely for dancing.

were so kind and welcoming on each visit to Raheen and most of all on our wedding day. From our pre wedding meal to the wedding day meal - the food was absolutely wonderful. Everything on the day went so smoothly thanks to Mark and his super organizational skills. He went out of his way to make sure everything was as we wanted it and nothing was a problem. Having only one wedding on the day is a big plus. On the day itself, from start to finish, everything was perfect -- the welcome, the arrangements for the outside ceremony and for the meal, the food in the evening -- all perfect. The function room was beautifully laid out and attention to detail obviously very important. We couldn't praise the staff enough -- every one of them was friendly, courteous, obliging, relaxing, competent and professional in all aspects. The accommodation provided was both beautiful and comfortable. We can't praise the hotel and staff, particularly Mark, enough for making our day so special to us.

We met Mark about a year and a half ago, and from our first meeting, he was so open and welcoming and helpful. Nothing was an issue. The communication was excellent not just with Mark, but with all the staff, particularly, Trisha and Niamh.
We had no issues at all. Emails were answered within a day. When setting up the venue, we were given so much help and we were pretty much allowed to do anything we wished.
We had a civil ceremony in the garden, followed by a drinks reception and then the meal in the ballroom.
The food was amazing, the staff were so pleasant and well trained and the timing of everything was perfect.
The bedrooms were old worldly and stunningly beautiful as well as comfortable.
My one wish, that we could do it all again, and I would definitely choose Raheen to do it in.

booked the wedding until we checked out the next day. I just wish I could give six stars to reflect the service they provided to us and our guests. The size of the hotel allows for an intimate event with the staff giving your wedding party their undivided attention. No request was a problem and no issue unsolvable. The experience and competence of the staff meant a stress-free day for us. We had our service in the beautiful gardens with the trees providing a sort of magically picturesque woodland. Our guests came away praising the beauty of the venue and commented that they had eaten some of the tastiest food they had ever had. Raheen House is a gem of a venue that offers you that something extra.

The venue itself on our wedding day was simply fantastic. The food was delicious and our guests loved the layout of the rooms, gardens and the bars. We held a humanist wedding outside and thankfully the sun came out. The set up for the ceremony itself in the garden was beautiful, and Mark and the staff made sure everything went smoothly.

We are so glad that we held both our ceremony and reception at Raheen House and we are so grateful to Mark and all the staff for making it such a special day. We cannot recommend Raheen House enough to anyone looking for a venue.

The hotel looked after everything for us, we didn't have to worry about any of the small details. Raheen House is a hidden gem just outside of Clonmel town. If you want a small/average size wedding that has the feel of a country house, while being close to all the local bnbs and amenities do not go past Raheen House or Mark! Despite of the very pretty decoration and furnishing of the house full of little details the people working there are very kind and helpful. We got married in Ireland but live in Germany so the organisation wasn´t the easiest but I have to say that especially the manager Mark was always available via e-Mail and phone for every single question that I had.
They were very flexible with decorations and e.g. the Candy Bar we brought into the venue so that it wasn´t a problem at all to bring your DIY things. Mark was very helpful with recommensations for bands and photographers as well as with finding the right wedding package for us. We were able to try a big choice of different courses to find the right menue and wine.
On the Wedding Day itself every single waiter and waitress were very friendly and professional and the food was very good as it was at the tasting.
The team working for Raheen House was very warm, helpful, experienced and just great!
As this is a review I would like to write something that went wrong or was negative as well but the only thing was that it was over way too soon!! And that really is more a good than a bad sign. We just had our perfect day!
We would love to do it all over again and would choose Raheen House again! We loved every second and will definitely come back again to visit for a lovely dinner.

with, he is so easy going and nothing is too much trouble. He really is such a hard worker and he works tirelessly to ensure that the whole day goes perfectly. We honestly dont know how he does it. We also have to mention Trish who was really helpful everytime we spoke on the phone or met in person. The whole team here really are fantastic.
Mark and Trish did a beautiful job setting up the function room and garden for us on the morning of the wedding. It was exactly as we hoped for and the place looked amazing. We had brought along a load of stuff, lanterns, floral birdcages , flowers, candles etc earlier in the week to decorate the venue ourselves but Mark said to leave it to him and they would take care of it for us as it was important that we have time to enjoy the build up to the day.
We stayed in the hotel the night before the wedding with our 3 children and parents and it really was a lovely experience. We had no rushing or racing that morning so we enjoyed a relaxing breakfast and then started into the preparations.
We had our ceremony in the beautiful gardens followed by the drinks reception and everyone was so relaxed and really enjoyed the day. The quality of the meal was superb, the service was really efficient, and the staff serving the meal were so friendly. They had a kind word and a smile for all the children no matter how busy they were. The food served for the night time was also superb. We are still meeting family and friends who were at the wedding, and are raving about the fantastic food and service they received at Raheen.
I would highly recommend Raheen House to anyone who is looking for somewhere special to have their Wedding Day.

guests and chose the Ruby package. The food was amazing, all our guests commented on how great the food was and how much selection there was between starters and even soups.
Mark and the team were really fantastic, so professional and could not have been more helpful. They did a fantastic job with all the decor and understood just what we meant.
The room was ideal for a great dance floor as the tables surround it so it wasnt too daunting to hop up for a dance as it was just in the middle of the room. The size and layout of the room were key factors to the great atmosphere.
We would definitely recommend Raheen to any couple looking for a unique wedding with great food, very reasonable prices, stunning grounds with a relaxed atmosphere.

met the manager Mark, or even visited that part of Ireland – we were extremely anxious and required extra care from everyone at Raheen House to give us the confidence that this venue would really make a for a special celebration.

We fell in love instantly with the ambiance of the house pouring out of the photos, the different rooms, the location and decided there and then to commit to such a gamble after just a couple of phone calls and email with Mark and his staff. We were going to trust someone we never met with what would be OUR day.

And have they delivered!

Raheen house is a beautifully personal venue where you and your guests can expect to thoroughly enjoy and really celebrate your wedding. Small enough to be perfectly intimate with plenty of rooms for those in need of bit of silence to enjoy a conversation away from the party and disco lights. Yet big enough to have a wonderful candlelit reception room to hold 9 tables with plenty of room to eat and move around comfortably (and then for everyone to bust a move on the dance floor after dessert and cake had been polished off!).

You’ll find venues with a lot more people answering to your every call, Raheen House has only a few but amazing members of staff, who were working constantly but always attentive, with a friendly smile and ready to help.

It’s been a while now since that beautifully sunny and mild winter day (how lucky are we!?!) we are back in the tropics and enjoying what seems to be a very old memory, and can’t wait to return to this beautiful hotel!

Raheen House is a beautiful house set on gorgeous grounds and the colour in October only added to our day. The staff - especially Mark and Trish - went above and beyond on the day to ensure it was the best day of our lives. It's a cliche but true. Nothing was too big an ask and all our expectations were met and exceeded. Everybody commented on how beautiful Raheen House was and how the staff were simply fantastic. Then there's the food. The taster was beautiful but the food on the actual day surpassed it in every way and all the guests could not get over how good it was and how professional and seamless service was on the day. The menus are incredibly diverse and cater to all tastes. Also, rates at Raheen House are very competitive which is very important in this day and age. We cannot thank the staff and all at Raheen House enough for creating a truly memorable day for us. We wish them the greatest success.

is beautiful, it needed no extra decorating of any kind, and every one of our guests said it was cozy. The drawing room was just perfect for our very small ceremony, and it felt so special and intimate. The whole place flows brilliantly and everyone found themselves somewhere to sit and chat during the drinks reception. The main dining room was utterly stunning, and we were lucky enough to have the evening sun streaming through the stained glass windows during dinner.

The food was exquisite, and everyone was catered to. Vegan, vegetarian and dairy free was no challenge to the brilliant kitchen - they created a really tasty and interesting dish for everyone. The drinks and canapes were beautifully presented, and the service was second to none; friendly, prompt and efficient.

Saving the best for last - The Staff (they deserve the capital S!). Every single member of staff was friendly, polite, fun and exceptionally helpful. I was not stressed about any part of my day, and all of our guests agreed that nothing appeared to be too much. Trisha on the desk was the happiest, loveliest and most considerate person. She popped up to check on the bridal party to make sure everything was going alright that morning, she grabbed two plates of canapes for us (the bride and groom) during the drinks reception , she even picked up the toys left by the two young page boys.

Mark and Mary are two absolute cool professionals, and clearly have so much experience. Mark took care of every detail leading up to, and during the day. He worked like a Trojan to make sure it all ran smoothly. His suggestions were invaluable and he was an incredible help during the whole process.

Mark and the staff at Raheen were very accomading from the start, and nothing was too much trouble for them.

On the day of the wedding, the room was set up beautifully, the food was delicious.. The kids loved the fact there was so much room outside for them to play, they even had their ice-cream served up outside so they didn’t miss the entertainer.

All our guests complimented Raheen house on the impeccable service they received and the stunning bedrooms.

We had a small wedding and Raheen house was the perfect setting for our intimate reception.

small children this made everything so much smoother on the morning of the wedding. We arrived Thursday evening and settled into our home away from home, unpacked, had dinner in the bar then got down to business setting up the few DIY bits I had organised for the next day. All this time Mark was on hand helping with everything i needed in a friendly and relaxed manner. The whole team at a raheen including Mark, Mary, Trisha and everyone else were incredibly helpful from the Thursday right through to Saturday morning when we checked out. The food from the canapés served for the drinks reception to the meal to the afters food were all 10/10. Numerous people commented and are still raving about it. After spending years myself working in restaurants I really appreciate excellent food and service and after having our wedding at Raheen house I can highly rate the staff on both of the above. Even when we took the party into after hours in the residents bar the barman really looked after us with drinks and trays of sandwiches. The grounds of the hotel are a photographer and videographer's dream they are so beautiful and even if you get unlucky with the weather on the day every area inside of the hotel has perfect backdrops for beautiful photographs. We cannot thank the staff at Raheen House enough for the part they played in one of the best days of our lives I would not change one part of the day from start to finish. walked into the hotel it felt right for us . The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted . Emails were answered efficiently and we were never made feel as if anything we asked for was a problem . Advice was always given if we needed it and to say our wedding day at Raheen house surpassed our expectations is an understatement. It was more then anything we expected . The food , service , atmosphere was exceptional snd guests that stayed in the hotel were also well looked after . If I could give it a higher rating then 5 I would . There is not one thing we can fault and our standards were high . Thanks to Mark , Trisha and all the staff for making our day so special . We would love to do it all again . Don't worry about a thing when you book Raheen house hotel because it will be perfect on your day . Highly highly recommend it .

Zimbabwe, China, Papua New Guinea, the UK and Fethard (!) all raved about the incredible food, the hospitality and the welcome they received at Raheen House Hotel.

Our wedding meal was delicious, the lamb was so tasty, everything was so fresh. The timing on the night was perfect for everything. We had a wonderful, wonderful day - it was truly the best day of our lives.

smoothly and happily. All our guests were enchanted by the day and the venue. Having the venue for ourselves the whole day made a huge difference as we felt at home with our families and friends. The food was incredible and abundant. All in all the best venue ever!

a look around the hotel and discuss what was possible on the day. We fell in love with the venue from the off, and were very impressed with the help, cooperation and willingness of Mark to ensure to accommodate as much of what we wanted to organise as possible. The dinner packages were VERY reasonable, the food for the taster was amazing, and was matched - if not better - on the actual day.

When we arrived on the day the staff were fantastic, the room was set up as requested for the ceremony, plenty of staff for the reception, plenty of drink for guests and the room was turned around for the meal in no time at all and looked fantastic. At all times Mark was constantly checking that all was going to plan and ensured all guests were well looked after no matter what the request!!

The food service was fantastic, the food was fantastic, the venue was fantastic EVERY single guest at some stage during the day and night made it their business to tell us how much they loved the venue, the setting, the food, the drink and every single aspect that the hotel delivered on the day.

We cannot thank Mark and the ENTIRE staff enough for making it such a special day, and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough - as I said in the beginning - in one word - AMAZING!!

feel calm and that everything was in control. Even when I rang at the last minute to say that one guest was vegan it was all arranged quietly for me.
The food on the day was amazing. My family are still talking about it 6 months later. The atmosphere was perfect. Everyone was made to feel welcome on the day, from my 90 year old grandmother, to my 7 year old son.
The size of the hotel is perfect for a family wedding. The grounds were perfect for the photographs and we did not need to go anywhere else.
My last comment is that for such a beautiful wedding with amazing food and atmosphere, Raheen house is very good value for money. I highly recommend it.

atmosphere extremely elegant and the meal was just divine! We were particularly delighted by the fact that all our guests thought likewise and thoroughly enjoyed our special day. numbers. We had the hotel exclusive to us for the day which made ourwedding private and even more intimate. The package that we hoses and the good is fabilous. And plenty of it! The buffet was as good, nothing like egg mayo sambos after a few scoops! The staff are amazing. Mark and Mary make a great team. The are so relaxed and efficient in their work and no obstical was a problem. The whole team were professional in their work. I cannot think of a fault about the day only as it's over we cannot do it again. I have the highest regard for the place and I am fibbing their praises.

Raheen itself really is a stunning boutique hotel in a beautiful setting. Perfect for a wedding. If we could do it all again we wouldn't change a thing.

guests to enjoy. The house makes your wedding feel personal and cosy. The food I must say was incredible and delicious and the service both professional and very fast. We have had so many lovely comments from our guests regarding the standard of the meals they were served. We found Mark the wedding co ordinator lovely and incredibly efficient and a pleasure to deal with, he strived to make our day perfect in every way. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is thinking of getting married in Ireland and would give it a full 10 out of 10. Raheen House is completely faultless.

fabulous, the chefs put on a great menu. The house itself is so quaint and homely. It has been given a facelift in the last year and whoever was involved did a fantastic job inside and out, the gardens are beautiful. We would highly recommend Raheen House, we wish we could do it all again! Magical!

one to wedding day, we were treated with the utmost care, and no stone was left unturned in helping us out with any requests we had. I, personally had lots of correspondence with Mark, the manager, but I have nothing but praise for him and his staff incl. Mary and Jennifer, who made us feel like royalty throughout the whole process, and were always on hand with any minor detail that needed to be seen to. Our guests were so complimentary about the care and attention they received throughout the day, and we genuinely could not have asked for more. As well as the incredible manner and respect they all showed the wedding party, the house itself is beautiful and suited ideally what we were looking for. We stayed on on the Sunday, and had another meal, and were sorry to leave the place on Monday. It just went so well that I felt I was compelled to write a review on their behalf, because like I said, we couldn't be happier at how it all went. Would definitely recommend Raheen House to prospective couples.
