always very communicative and helpful with every question we had, giving us sound advice and making sure the day went off without any issues. On the day, she was so great at getting guests to where they needed to be, as well as calming me and my husband after all the emotions of the service.
Additionally, Hayley at reservations helped immensely with room organisation. We had a few overseas guests, and she was more than accommodating to those who needed rooms on the night of the wedding. She went above and beyond, and we were so grateful.
Finally, Malcolm was an exceptional host during the evening of the wedding, helping us with every request our hearts desired. He was so kind and generous with his time, and we could not be more thankful.
All the staff, from the planning to reservations, security to management, we and our guests really felt welcomed and part of the Royal Marine family.
The food was also delightful and plentiful, and guests never felt that they were underfed. The treats were very tasty, and presented very neatly so thank you to the kitchen staff.
The night catered by the Royal Marine made me and my husband feel like we were royalty, and it is sure to be one of our best memories ever, thanks to the kindness, support and generosity of the hotel.

that we absolutely chose the best venue for our wedding. The hotel itself is so beautiful and we loved being able to have a view of the seafront during our reception. The staff at the Royal Marine Hotel were incredibly helpful in making sure everything went to plan and every detail was considered beforehand, especially as we were not local to the area. All of our wedding stress disappeared when we arrived because we were in such good hands and my husband and I were able to truly enjoy our wedding day without worrying about a thing! In particular, Jeff, Malcolm, and Dhriti went above and beyond to make sure all of our guests were looked after, not just on the wedding day itself, but the whole weekend! The Royal Marine Hotel is a beautiful venue and our guests from abroad and Ireland were very impressed with both the hotel and its surroundings. The food and service on the night were excellent thanks to Jeff, the floor manager, Alicia, and the rest of the staff. Everything went very smoothly on the day but we had two stressful moments regarding the flowers and the dress (due to our own negligence) which Dhriti and the team solved immediately. Our stay afterwards at the Royal Marine was also amazing, our room was of very high quality. Our guests expressed how impressed they were with their stay at the hotel and the quality of their rooms.

I myself am from Dun Laoghaire, so I was really proud to show our guests how lovely the area is. The hotel and amazing reception really personified the loveliness of Dun Laoghaire.

Our wedding day on the 29th June could not have been better.

The weather on the day was probably the best seen in Ireland for many years, so that's a good start.

The wedding service was held in the Maritime Museum and within a short walk to the Royal Marine.

Alma on the day, all the plans that had been promised were in place.

Being nearly 29/30c on the day it was great to have the benches outside the hotel where the guests could enjoy a drink outdoors and enjoy the sunshine.

The musician's stage was set up as planned and we were able to say a few words before the meal.

The meal on the day was exactly as we had requested and the service and quality of the food was of the highest quality. All wine glasses were topped up regularly and guests received "second helpings".

We enjoyed a late night and the bar staff were very helpful.

The Bridal Suite was situated at the front of the house with fantastic sea views, and we enjoyed the comfort of the extra space and luxury.

The breakfast next morning was really good. Both the quality and service. Many guests had commented on this.

Overall, we had a fantastic day and would have no problem recommending " The Royal Marine " as a venue to any future marriage prospects.

From the very first time we visited the Royal Marine Hotel, to the day after our wedding 18 months later, our experience has been nothing short of exceptional and we couldn't recommend the team highly enough! Our initial meeting was with Aidan who went above and beyond to make us feel special. What …

really struck us was that, on that day, he met another couple who had been married in the hotel a few months previously and knew them by name. It showed how well he and his team care about their couples - we weren't just a number!

We were looked after by Elaine during the planning stages and on the day, and no request was too troublesome for her and her team. The day itself was just magical, and we have to give a special shout out to Peter who ensured the reception ran smoothly and catered to our every need. Our family and friends raved about the hotel, the food and the service we received both on our wedding day and the next day at our coffee and cake event. One relative said the food was the best she had ever tasted at a wedding, and another guest who is an executive head chef by profession was very impressed by the menu and the quality of the food.

On the day after the wedding, we stayed on an extra night and had dinner in the restaurant, and were so impressed by the attention given to us that evening.

Overall, we would highly recommend the Royal Marine Hotel to any couples planning their wedding. You won't be disappointed!

I just wanted to drop you a line about our fab day – to say thank you so much for our wonderful wedding celebration at the Royal Marine Hotel. You and the team couldn’t have worked harder for us or been more attentive and professional than you all were.

were an absolute pleasure to work with from day one, Alma, and from the moment we walked into the hotel (in a slight state of panic last year!), met Eusebio, and he graciously showed us around, we knew that the Royal Marine was the place for us.

Our guests are full of praise for the Royal Marine – everything from the Arrivals Reception, staff and the meal to their rooms and breakfast the following morning has received praise. And I would very much like to thank the waiter who looked after my young nephews at the top table – he made them feel very special!

On a personal note, the beautiful Dublin Crystal glasses left in our room and the note along with them was a lovely touch and such a surprise! We will certainly treasure those glasses.

Robbie and I couldn’t have had a happier wedding day and the Royal Marine was everything we had hoped for: elegant with efficient and discreet staff, which filled us with confidence and made our entire reception so relaxed and joyful.

The day itself was just amazing, and even better than I could imagine, and that is in large part because of the wonderful staff of the Royal Marine who looked after us and all our guests so well. We even found a beautiful surprise gift of engraved flutes from the hotel in our bridal suite which was such a lovely touch and very indicative of the high quality of service we received at the Royal Marine. It is normal and expected for guests to thank the Bride and Groom for a lovely day and to say …

the meal was nice. However our guests have gone way beyond that in their praise for the Royal Marine Hotel and the staff there. More than one guest said the word to describe the day was "class". Other guests said "we had too much to eat". That is a good complaint you will agree!

Both Lucy and I had the steak, as did a lot of the guests. Please express our compliments and appreciation to Chef for providing such succulent and tender beef. It was "melt in your mouth", it was so tender. The presentation of the steak by the staff at our table was impressive. They made a nice impression by lifting off the plate covers at the same time.

The Duty Manager was always there to guide me back to my table for the next course after I went "wandering" between courses to speak with our guests. He did a great job and we appreciate that.

The service staff were always smiling and very pleasant. The food was delivered on time and thankfully there was no long wait between courses. The staff did a great job and please express our appreciation to them. They see weddings every week, but for us it was once in a lifetime and so important to us that the staff appreciated that.

When we got to our wedding suite in the early hours, we were surprised to receive a beautiful gift from the hotel of a pair of engraved champagne flutes. That was really a nice surprise. Thank you.

Finally and not least, we want to thank you Alma for your patience and kindness to us. You were always there either in person or at the end of the line when we needed you. Your advice to us was inestimable. You guided us on times, on food, and when we might have gone overboard on preparations. You were our Angel

Having looked at a number of venues our immediate reaction when we walked into the Royal Marine was that it was full of charm and was exactly what we wanted to share with our guests. Maeve, our wedding coordinator, …

was fantastic to deal with in the months leading up to our wedding – she was so organised and reliable and every meeting with her was a pleasure. It was reassuring to feel that all our hotel preparations were in safe hands, particularly as our wedding day got closer.

On our wedding day itself everything went even better than we expected. Paul ensured that we had no stress as he coordinated everything from getting our guests to the ceremony room to making sure the meal and speeches went smoothly.

We and our guests had an amazing weekend – the food was top class and the service from all the staff was special. The convenience of the aircoach was fantastic for our guests who travelled from overseas. Many of our guests stayed overnight at the hotel and commented that they felt they had been on a relaxing holiday as a result of the charm of the hotel, the service from the staff, and the lovely walks on Dun Laoghaire pier and to the People’s Park on the day after the wedding. The Royal Marine offers a location and service that is difficult to match. We are certain we made the perfect choice by having our wedding ceremony and reception at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire.

From the moment we inquired about booking our wedding at this venue, the experience was first class to say the least. Maeve, the wedding coordinator was pleasant and easy to deal with and put us at ease
from the start that everything we wanted could be done. Aidan, the general manager was very present throughout and made sure that everything was done to an extremely high standard. Paul, the banqueting manager made the day run seamlessly in an non obtrusive way and was fantastic to have on hand for the day. We are so happy we went with the Royal Marine, and the photos and memories we have from our day we will always treasure.

We had our wedding reception here on the 30th May 2015 and from start to finish the Royal Marine Hotel provided one of the best, smoothest and most professional services I've had the pleasure of experiencing.

Our first meeting was a two hour tour of the hotel with every question answered and no …

detail too small to be noted. From then on every email was replied to within one working day (usually in less than two hours). A drop in visit with close friends on a Sunday afternoon resulted in a staff member taking an hour to show us and them around. All our special requests from menu tweaks, ice cream vans to sweet heart tables were met without difficulty. In the lead up to the day Maeve ensured every detail was taken care of and on the day itself Paul and his team made sure everything ran like clockwork. The bridal suite was beautiful. The food was delicious.

Our guests were wonderfully taken care of too. Those travelling from abroad could use the direct bus route to the airport. There's easy access to the city and lots to do locally for those who stayed for a few days extra.

Our guests and ourselves had an absolutely fantastic day in no small part due to the hotel staff and their team work.

Ireland for the first time so it was important to us to have somewhere that showed the best of Ireland and this hotel definitely did that. All our guests have commented on what an amazing venue it was.

Maeve Breslin, the wedding planner was so helpful in the run up to the wedding. She answered all our questions quickly and gave us some great advice and tips. On the day, the general manager Paul was amazing and made sure that everything went to plan. All the staff were so friendly and eager to help.

Our ceremony took place in the hotel and the room was set up beautifully. We got some gorgeous photographs in front of the hotel and also down at the pier. The room was set up wonderfully for the meal and the food was delicious. Again lots of our guests commented on how great the food was, from the canapés right through to the evening food and how professional the service was.

I had been dreaming about my wedding day for years and with the help of the Royal Marine Hotel, I really did feel like a princess for the day. On the day everything went without a hitch and was exactly as we wanted it as a result of the detailed planning by Maeve and the experience/professionalism of all the staff. We are so glad we chose the Royal Marine Hotel , it was the perfect venue for our wedding day and we highly recommend it.

The day before we spoke to the lady who dressed the small bar we were using for pre drinks and she got it spot on with regards to the bits and pieces we wanted. Equally the main room looked fantastic, the food was top class and a lot of people commented on it.
During our weekend we got to meet the guy that manages the breakfast (sorry, I can't remember his name) and he was a star - everyone we met from the hotel throughout the weekend was very friendly and helpful not just to us but also to our family and friends - we made a point of letting the duty manager know this so hopefuly our coments were passed along.
The next day we arranged a buffet dinner for everyone and again the Royal Marine exceeded expectations - the food quality was amazing and what we wanted was interpretted really well. A few of the staff we met the night before even came up to say hello during the dinner and check everything was ok which we thought was really nice.
The whole weekend was briliantly handled, was excellent value for money and would highly recommend the venue.
Even when we went back a year later for our free night and dinner Paul made a point of coming over and saying hello and the guy we met who manages the breakfast who was working that night made a point of saying hello and asking us how everything was going.
We will certainly be going back next September and will probably make it a regular thing!! Can't praise it enough

The staff are amazing, incredibly customer focused and it was clear they had plenty of experience with wedding receptions. The day was planned with precision by Gina and everything went like clockwork. The banqueting manager, Paul, help calm any nerves we had and the whole team worked professionally throughout the day. Anything we needed, we only had to ask and it was done. However, we rarely had to ask as nearly everything was anticipated by the Royal Marine team. The room was laid out beautifully and all of our guests were amazed at the fantastic food and wine which was served to them. A massive thank you to the chefs for the amazing food also. I have to say the nicest food I have tasted at any wedding I’ve been to before. The presentation, quality and service was second to none. Also thanks to Paul, Matti, Nigel and the rest of the team who ensured the day ran smoothly.
You all went above and beyond, even looking after the early check ins for the family travelling over from the UK and ensuring that they had a room ready on arrival, it was very much appreciated.
So many family members and friends complimented the hotel and the way everything was dealt with over our wedding weekend and commented on how friendly and polite every staff member was who they crossed paths with.
It really helped and made me at ease that I didn't have to worry about our reception as I knew it was all taken care of and all in good hands and it made the planning even more enjoyable that our minds were at ease so thank you all.
I have no problem recommending the Royal Marine Hotel for any function, family event or even just a weekend away. My only negative is that we can't do the whole day all over again. Other than this I cannot fault this hotel at all.

Michelle was fantastic from beginning to end organising every little detail, constantly there for an little or big queries. She went above and beyond in every way and for this we will be forever grateful.
On the day Paul ran everything to plan. Again nothing too big or too small. He was amazing with everyone especially our daughter. He was there every step of our day and helped make it magical. He also went above and beyond in every aspect.
Our day went off without a hitch! It was absolutely fantastic and everyone is still talking about how amazing it was, we are in no doubt that the staff had a major part in making our day so perfect.
Every member of staff we came across from our menu tasting right up to the day was absolutely lovely. If you are considering this hotel for your wedding I would recommend seeing it in person it's more magical than the pictures, and if your not considering it, Why not???

marine's attention to detail was spectacular and I don't think anyone expected such a perfect day and wouldn't have from any hotel. You have definitely out done all your competition.
I would like to say thank you to you and Matti for overlooking everything on the day and a big thank to Paul who coordinated everything on the day. Also a big thank you to Rocko who works in the bar. He was very patient with us the night before and trust me it wasn't a pretty scene :) a bunch of excited slightly drunk people who are quite high maintenance :)
Now a Massive Massive thank you to Michelle. I believe Michelle made it all come true.
Firstly many things were tweaked last minute in fact I found the last two weeks the hardest. Of course Michelle with her professionalism and patience made it seem like a walk in the park.
Michelle was always there when I needed her. I can't remember one mail that lasted more than 15 mins before I got a response.
Michelle was always cheerful and pleasant and not once made me feel I was being pain. Which being a project manager I know I was and I don't envy her for having to deal with me. :) Her attention to detail was absolutely superb every single detail went as planned and even better on the day.
I could write pages about her great she was, she was absolutely fantastic.
Everyone in the hotel was great every single waiter and everyone in housekeeping too. All my family were blown away.
The food was excellent too and even better than the tasting and also the food in the bar the day before ad after was amazing.
Can't wait to come back.
