We had such a special day and weekend celebrating our wedding at the Dunloe thanks to the amazing food and staff there. We could not have chosen a more perfect venue for us and all our guests raved about the hotel and many have vowed to revisit for a break in the future. The grounds of the hotel

We recently had a wonderful weekend celebrating our wedding with our family and friends in The Dunloe Hotel and Gardens. We fell head over heels in love with this hidden gem the first time we met Jason and immediately knew this was the venue for us and our wedding was in safe hands. Jason is so

competent, knowledgeable and easy to work with. From the moment we booked to this day, the service we received was exceptional. In the months leading up to our big day, Jason, Niamh and Simon could not have been more helpful and accommodating, always prompt to respond to any queries. There was never any problem making the wedding planning experience really enjoyable and stress-free. We were always made feel so special and that our wedding was unique and important to them. Our wedding menu tasting in The Grill Restaurant was an outstanding experience and we definitely recommend staying the night and making the most of this fun experience. We loved staying at the hotel for the weekend of the wedding. Our family and friends were made feel so welcome and it truly was a home away from home. We enjoyed some pre-wedding drinks in The Bar the night before (The Dunloe Signature cocktail was a big hit!) and this really added to the excitement. Also, the view of the Gap of Dunloe from The Grill Restaurant each morning while having breakfast was breath-taking. Mark and I are both lost for words on how to describe the service on the wedding day but it completely exceeded all our expectations. The bridal suite was so beautiful and spacious and made for a really relaxed morning getting ready. From early morning to late that night, both Jason and Niamh checked in with us regularly throughout the day to make sure everything was going ok for us. They were there to wish us off to the cathedral and welcome us back for the celebrations. Everyone was blown away by the luxurious Upper Lounge with its spectacular views for the drinks reception. Our guests are still commenting on how beautiful the grounds and hotel looked and most importantly how amazing the food was. We cannot complement the chef and kitchen staff enough for the quality of food that was presented. All the staff are so genuine and courteous and went above and beyond at all times. We are so grateful that everything flowed smoothly and perfectly on time, undoubtedly down to all the hard work that went on behind the scenes. We could not have asked for a better wedding day and highly recommend The Dunloe Hotel and Gardens as a five star wedding venue. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts with fond memories to last a lifetime. Thank you to all the management and staff for making our dream wedding come true.

accommodation and room layout the Dunloe is second to none. On the wedding day itself, the service and presentation of the hotel, the reception and the dining room was impeccable. There was no stress organising our wedding as Jason and Niamh took care of everything. We had an elderly parent and grandparents with us who needed wheelchair assistance. On a few occasions throughout the evening Niamh was a huge help and went out of her way for them. The food and ambience at the reception and at the dinner itself was amazing, all our family and friends are still raving about it 3 weeks later. The wedding rate accommodation is very reasonable including breakfast (which was delicious). All of our friends and family are so excited to go back. If we could give this venue more then 5 stars for a wedding we would! Thanks so much again Jason, Niamh and all the staff.

the first email to Jason about The Dunloe being our potential wedding venue, to Jason meeting us and taking us through all the details and then finalising all the parts for our big day, there was nothing too much trouble or too big an ask. They made us, along with all our family and friends feel so welcome (we had 200 guests fly over from the UK). Everything was 5* perfection and luxury. The Friday night we had drinks in The Bar and the atmosphere was amazing. The day of the wedding was seamless; Jason, Niamh and all their staff are perfectionists and are so well organised. The food was INCREDIBLE! All our guests have commented on how amazing the food was. The honeymoon suite was so beautiful and just the quality of everything in the room was amazing! We honestly can't thank everyone enough at The Dunloe for giving us the wedding of our dreams and making it a weekend we will never forget!! Love Ben & Sarah Coker x

Wedding of our dreams

One year ago I got married at the Dunloe Hotel. We were not from Kerry and our wedding was a little different from the average. We rented the beautiful Beaufort House for the week. But we had planned to do a marquee in the garden. The Dunloe hotel had just been refurbished

and was only around the corner from where we were staying. As the marquee was not a runner in the end. We last minute literally contacted the Dunloe. The staff at the Dunloe were just amazing. My wife dreams came through. It’s very hard to have a 5 star wedding venue that can make you feel relaxed and be as friendly as they were. The Dunloe is something very special. We got first class service. The kids were fed first and then taken off for a camp so the adults got time to themselves (this was priceless as we had 30 children). There was nothing the Dunloe couldn't do. And off course I forgot to say. The Dunloe is in a stunning setting, beautiful hotel with the most friendliest staff I have ever met. I am sorry to Jason and all the staff at the Dunloe I have not wrote this message till one year on. But Charlotte and I thank you will all our hearts for being there for us and helping us relax so we could have a wedding that I believe only Royals would dream of.

From the minute we arrived at the hotel for our drinks reception everything went so seamlessly and we were able to really enjoy our day knowing that everything was being taken care of so well. Both Niamh and Jason checked in with us regularly throughout the night to make sure everything was going okay for us and this was such a nice touch.

We received so many compliments from our guests in regards to the hotel and the service provided that day. One of the main feedbacks we received was how exceptional the food was and how much they enjoyed their meal. Guests also commented on how amazing the staff were and so attentive on the day of the wedding.

We were so happy with how everything turned out, it really was a fairytale. We could not recommend the Dunloe Hotel highly enough to anybody getting married in the future. Jason and Niamh went above and beyond what we could have ever expected and we will be forever grateful

The Park Suite function room with floor to ceiling glass views of the surrounding countryside & beautiful horses in the gardens is magical on a summers day. After our delicious meal, we had a BBQ pig on a spit out on the balcony close to midnight that left our guests watering at the mouth. This venue has it all as a destination wedding venue, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks to Jason, Kayla & The Dunloe team for looking after our every request, nothing was a problem, the only problem is we wish we could go back & do it all over again.

assistant manager Kayla Burrows. First things first, the venue is stunning. When we’re in the hotel, we’re looking at all the furniture and making future plans for our own home’s décor because it’s so well decorated. You can see people’s eyes widen as they enter the building. Each room has its own personality and you don’t get the feeling of fake luxury that many seemingly fancy hotels exude. This is the real thing. Back to the wedding… We admittedly had our guards up going in, assuming we would have to protect and fight for our desires, especially given how bespoke our wedding was. But our specific requests, no matter how strange they may have been (i.e., can we use a staggered stack of old books in lieu of a cake stand?) were met with warmth and flexibility. When a request couldn’t be met (alright, so maybe the stacked books were potentially flimsy and the cake would be at risk—thanks, Kayla!) The Dunloe would find an alternative solution that worked just as well or better. Do yourselves a favour and listen to their input because, at the end of the day, they have so much more experience with weddings than you probably do and, thus, a model for determining guest behaviors. Jason was waiting for us with champagne when we arrived at the venue and a vehicle delivered us to the castle ruins where we could take some photos before joining our guests in the reception room. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, and the Dunloe grounds made for some lovely photos of our wedding party and family. The reception room is my favourite — recently remodeled. It’s gorgeous. The furniture, the décor, the bar, the balcony and views — a perfect setting to share in tears and laughter with your most cherished people just after tying the knot. In greeting guests, I forgot to grab any canapes before they were done being served so a staff member ran down to the kitchen to make me a special plate. My husband and I began practicing our speeches separately once the guests headed into the dining room and before we were summoned. The same staff member offered me a pen, but I told him I wouldn’t need it. Thirty seconds later, I realized I had some changes to make. As I approached the bar, he had one hand wiping the counter and the other holding the pen out to me. These little touches are what made the day so special for us. They predicted everything! The food was wonderful (seafood salad is amazing as a starter!) and the service was impeccable — fast and responsive. No guest went hungry between the ceremony and dinner, and definitely not between the reception and dinner. The food was abundant and servers even offered our guests extra portions. Plus, they’d even offered some flexibility with menu options. Overall, they coordinated everything perfectly for us, including the song we would enter to, the timing of it, our path to our table — things we never would have thought of. They informed us when we hit certain amounts related to drinks, as promised—and always very discreetly. Although we’d coordinated our own ceremony and designed that venue ourselves, we couldn’t have imagined coordinating the rest of the celebration. The amount of work that must have went into it and the precision with which it was delivered will continue to impress us and make us smile when we think about our day. We highly recommend The Dunloe for your wedding day.

were exceptional. Jason was our first point of contact in the Dunloe and we knew immediately we were in safe hands and when Kayla joined the team earlier this year we were even more assured if that was possible. No request was too big or too small and everything we asked for was met with a smile, good humour, and the utmost professionalism. The hotel is newly renovated and the design and layout is to a very high and exacting standard including the outdoor areas. It is set in a tranquil area just outside Killarney with the Gap of Dunloe on its doorstep but also very accessible to the town. The restaurant and breakfast experience is a must and the coffee is excellent. Bedrooms are spotless with lots of space and really comfortable with amazing views from the balconies. The day itself was just magic, every one of our guests commented on the staff in the Dunloe and how lovely everyone was to deal with. The check-in process was seamless even though many guests were checking in at the same time after the ceremony. I think the staff also did a great job of making both sets of parents feel extra special and offering them loads of help. The food and wine were better than we could ever have hoped and the service was what made all the difference. The team in the Dunloe is what makes the venue so incredible and we could not recommend it enough for anyone looking for a very special wedding day. Thank you to everyone in the Dunloe for all your effort and making our day so speciall!

accommodating. We are living in Perth and planned our wedding from Australia. The planning process ran very smoothly - Jason was always very responsive to our emails and gave us some great suggestions for our wedding day. On the morning of our wedding, we received a wonderful text from Jason wishing us a great day and telling us to relax, sit back and enjoy our day in the knowledge that he and his team would look after everything. This reassurance really put our minds at ease and true to his word, Jason and his team (Veerpal the Duty Manager, Duncan the Restaurant Manager and Frank the Doorman in particular) were sensational and took exceptional care of us and all our guests. The weather was beautiful and we took our professional photos on the breathtaking grounds of The Dunloe. We were spoilt for choice with the picturesque setting and taking our photos at The Dunloe allowed us to spend more time with our wedding guests. Jason also made sure the bridal party were pampered during our photo session by sending down champagne, strawberries and canapés. All of these wonderful touches are what sets Jason and his team at The Dunloe apart from other wedding venues. We were treated like royalty during our stay at The Dunloe and we will forever be grateful to Jason for helping to make our wedding day so special and memorable. The meal was fantastic and our guests are still reminiscing about their fabulous day at The Dunloe. Everything and everyone was catered for from dietary requirements to entertainment for children, with a fabulous outdoor playground. Without hesitation, we would highly recommend The Dunloe to any couple who want a 5 star wedding experience! feel at ease on our wedding day.
From the moment you enter the long tree lined avenue, with lush green fields containing the cows and horses, you know that you are entering somewhere special which is lovingly maintained. The grounds themselves are amazing and the backdrop to the gap of Dunloe is spectacular and there are no shortage of areas where photographers will want to get a few shots in.
The run up to our wedding could not have gone smoother with the assistance of the management and staff at The Dunloe, in particular Jason (the General manager) and his deputy manager. We were assisted and advised on the bands, room decorating, flowers and pretty much anything we needed to ensure a perfect day.
The food.......Yes a big talking point......all I can say is that you will not be disappointed, in fact every bit of feedback was overwhelmingly positive. With a food and wine tasting offered complimentary prior to the wedding day, we chose our starters, soup, mains and dessert and as promised by Duncan (the restaurant manager) it was exactly as it was presented on the day, with outstanding service throughout the meal and no shortage for those who requested a bit more!
The rooms have recently been upgraded throughout the hotel and were very comfortable. Complimentary use of the indoor swimming pool and leisure facilities were also enjoyed by those guests staying.
As we also had some children at our wedding, they were entertained at the outdoor playground and at the childrens facilities in the evening with movies and activities. Child minders were upon recommendation from the Dunloe.
Overall, we cannot recommend highly enough considering The Dunloe for a wedding!

We selected the Dunloe as our wedding venue because we primarily wanted somewhere picturesque for the ceremony. The hotel has a variety of options for hosting the civil ceremony that are so perfect, it’s almost impossible to choose. We were immediately excited with the idea of a perfectly sunny

day and getting married outdoors in the garden, followed by drinks reception in the thatch cottage. That excitement carried all the way through to the day before the wedding when the chance of rain was forecast and we though it better to play it safe and to instead get married indoors in the Beaufort suite. The Beaufort suite has large windows which looks out on the mystical Gap of Dunloe. We only had 70 guests but this large and spacious room felt perfectly full, aisle perfectly formed and toddlers trying to escape their parents coloured the otherwise open and unused areas of the venue, it couldn’t have been more perfect. While the hotel is only 5 minutes’ drive to the Gap of Dunloe, our photographer was satisfied that the Dunloe Hotel grounds and gardens provided more than enough photo opportunities to capture the occasion with a variety of backdrops. Ours wasn’t a typical wedding as we wished to combine the best of Irish with the best of polish wedding traditions. We were anxious about this from the very first day we met the Hotel Manager Jason Clifford. That was the only time we considered Jason to be the manager as he quickly became our wedding planner, our ideas man and our solution provider. Polish tradition requires food to be available throughout the day and night to snack on while they drink. In response to this, the hotel provided a buffet that ran from after the main wedding dinner till the early hours of the morning. This worked great, not only for the polish requirements but it also allowed us provide food for evening guests. Everybody spoke extremely highly of the quality and quantity of food provided throughout the day and night. The evening guests ate and mingled with the main wedding party while the band set up and everyone was perfectly ‘oiled’ when the music started. Our only regret was that the first we saw of the incredible bridal suite was 4am in the morning when we eventually made it to bed. We didn’t get to enjoy the bridal suite but we still wouldn’t have changed anything about the day, it was perfect! A huge thanks to Jason. I don’t know who ran the hotel that day as Jason seemed to be omnipresent ensuring everything was running like clockwork from our arrival for the ceremony until late at night. Jason, thanks for helping us make the day everything we wanted it to be!!

Skype, and a visit to the hotel (in the off season) by the bride’s parents were all we needed to book the venue, sight unseen by the bride and groom. Jason then arranged for a tasting in the first week of opening, as the bride was in Ireland for a week. Her and her mother and father could not say enough about the exquisite look and taste of the food. The groom received photos as it happened, and could nearly taste the dishes, 6600 Kilometers away. The remainder of the planning could not have gone better, and the rest of the hotel staff matched Jason’s promptness and professionalism as we made the final touches, and as our guests booked their rooms. On the day of the wedding, upon arrival at the Dunloe, all we heard as the bride and groom (after congratulations) was “Did you see the rooms” or “This hotel is beautiful” or “I have never seen a hotel like this in all my life”. Our Canadian guests were in awe of the venue itself, and the surrounding grounds. The awe was matched by even the local Irish guests, who had the same gasps at the beautiful venue and breathtaking sights, as though they were seeing the country for the first time. Once the dinner bell rang, we were again stunned by the beauty of the venue, and the views from the reception room. The dinner was perfect, with Jason and his staff in contact with each other via earpieces, any minor plate changes due to preference and the like were handled so quickly, it’s as though every guest had their own personal server. I, as the groom, enjoyed watching my guests enjoy themselves throughout the meal, and discuss with wide eyes how wonderful everything was, how nice the meal was, and how prompt and perfect the service was. The location of the reception area made it feel as though we had the entire hotel to ourselves. The remainder of the evening continued to be perfect. The balcony off the reception area allowed our guests to mingle in many different ways, and still felt as though they were right in the middle of the dance floor. Finally, upon receiving our wedding photos, which were captured entirely on the grounds, it was abundantly clear our selection of The Dunloe was correct, and perfect in every way. We look forward to our regular return as guests, so we can further enjoy the hotel and grounds, relive our wedding day, and experience the rest and relaxation offered at The Dunloe.

Our wedding in the Dunloe was truly a magical and unforgettable day with a story having started so many years ago having come full circle.

My husbands mother was born in Beaufort and as a young woman worked in housekeeping in the Dunloe before she got married in St Mary's parish church in the

quaint village she was born.

When Michael showed me the beautiful little church I wanted nothing more than starting our journey together in the same place where his parents once said their vows. When we were shown the Dunloe in the winter of 2015, when assistant manager Veerpal opened up the hotel us to view, there was no doubt in our minds: this was to be the venue for our day!

From the start we trusted every detail would be perfect as also for example our wedding photographer, hairdresser and the leader of our band who had experience with the wedding team, assured us we could just sit back and leave everything up to Jason and his staff for our day to be ran smoothly.

I will never forget the incredible morning of my wedding day, being treated like royalty, sitting in my gorgeous room getting ready, looking out at the fields with newborn Haflinger foals, and the backdrop of The Gap! I remember thinking: "how in the world did a simple girl from the Netherlands end up in a place like this, marrying an Irish man and having a wedding seen in the movies?"

Cathriona, our hairdresser was slagging me off, laughing, saying she never had experienced such a relaxed bride before! But I could never have truly relaxed so much as not having been for Jason, Veerpal and Simon in the background running the show with no hiccups whatsoever!

Our guests were raving about the beautiful setting, the quality of the food and drinks, telling us they had never been at a wedding like ours! Now you may say they might have just been polite, but our auntie Bridie's high praises are not spoken lightly, let me assure you that much :-)

We can not recommend The Dunloe and its wedding team highly enough! THANK YOU Jason, Veerpal and Simon and everyone else at the Dunloe for making our day so memorable!!

We are looking forward to return for our first wedding anniversary the 16th of April 2017 and many more after that!

We had our wedding at The Dunloe in July 2015 and we can’t say enough about how amazing the whole experience was.
The Dunloe Hotel Management and Staff provided 5 star support and service to us from when we began planning the wedding until the day we checked out. They were all friendly and

professional and nothing was too much trouble (Thank You Jason)
Even in early conversations, when we were just enquiring, no amount of questioning was too much for them, Jason answered all emails immediately and with great patience.
Our food tasting was a very enjoyable experience hosted by Duncan who went to though all questions we had with regards the food & wine.
The hotel itself is stunning, from the grounds to the castle where we took all our wedding shot which turned out amazing and the beautiful Park Suite ballroom where we danced the night away.
We delivered some personal decorations to the hotel before the wedding and we were delighted to see our personal touches so beautifully placed around the venue on the day.
The red carpet drinks reception was beautiful and our guests are still talking about the fabulous Meal, 5 star restaurant quality all the way, the party food was also delicious.
We were delighted on the day of the wedding when we were upgraded to the Penthouse Suite which was just fabulous (even though we only got to spend a few hrs there). Many of our guests also had their rooms upgraded too.
On what could have been a stressful day for us, we had absolutely NO worries at all, everything ran so smoothly and professionally we didn’t have to worry about a thing and we really just relaxed and enjoyed the whole day.
Honestly, we could go on and on about how brilliant the hotel is - suffice to say, if you are considering having a Killarney wedding then do not hesitate to choose The Dunloe as your perfect fairy-tale venue - you WONT regret it, not only is it in a great setting, it is a really gorgeous hotel and the staff are AMAZING.

We had a humanist ceremony in the conference centre so everything on the day was under one roof - and from the outset we could tell that this is what these guys do for a living - everything ran so smoothly and whilst Jason and Veerpal were never on show they were always there if we needed anything.
Pity you only do this once - we can but hope somebody we know gets married at The Dunloe in the future so we can go back experience it all again.

the lead up to the wedding.

The grounds of The Dunloe provided the perfect backdrop for our photos and is guaranteed to wow your guests.

We began our day by having our Christian marriage ceremony in the beautiful Beaufort Suite which is adjacent to the hotel and provides stunning views of the Gap Of Dunloe.

The drinks reception held in the hotel was amazing with breathtaking views and friendly staff handing out canapés so our guests would not go hungry before the reception.

The function room where our reception took place was beautifully presented and also offered our guests some fantastic views of the grounds around the hotel. The food was exquisite and is still spoken about by our guests.

The children were also well looked after on the day with a buffet meal in the restaurant. As the adults were having their meal the children enjoyed the Kidz Club where they got to play some games and watch movies. They all wanted to return the following day. This club is run exceptionally well by the hotel and local child minders.

The management and staff at The Dunloe provided excellent service and were very courteous to our family and friends throughout the entire day.

Now as Husband and Wife we look back at our wedding day with such fantastic memories that will last with us forever.

From the bottom of our hearts we would like to say a special thank you to Jason, Veerpal and all the staff at The Dunloe.

The Dunloe is a spectacular venue for your wedding day and we could not recommend it highly enough.

deal with. They accommodated everything we wanted for our wedding and provided assistance on the finer details such as timing, food, wine and any other queries we had. They were always available to us and made our wedding preparations calm and enjoyable. We had a florist from cork who made our floral centre pieces , all colours linking to the theme of our wedding and scenery colours of The Dunloe. We wanted to bring in the beautiful colours and grounds surrounding the Dunloe into our wedding reception .
The grounds of The Dunloe provided the perfect backdrop for the drinks reception and meal in the function room, with its beautiful scenery .
We also took all of our photos on the grounds down by the old ruin which over looks the river. This was just spectacular !
The service provided on the day was outstanding and lived up to its 5star rating. No stone was left unturned for us due to the excellent service provided by Jason and his team .The food and wine was fabulous and was praised by many guests . It was a magical day for us from the time we arrived to the fireworks display at the end. We would like to thank all the staff, Jason and Veerpal for such an unforgettable experience. A truly five star experience provided by The Dunloe .

many many many emails to Jason were always responded within 24 hours and always very professional. Jason always made us feel at ease throughout the whole wedding planning process.

We checked in along with many of our family and friends before the wedding day and everyone fell in love with this hotel. It is set in a beautiful location and the staff could not do enough for you. I stayed in the bridal suite overlooking the gap the night before the wedding and it was nothing but amazing! To wake up to that view on the morning of our wedding was fabulous!!

We had our civil ceremony in the hotel also. On the wedding day itself, I thought like any bride I would be a bag of nerves, but alas I wasn’t! The Dunloe definitely played a factor in my relaxed approach, as knowing Jason, Veerpal and Simon were there handling everything was bliss! They co-ordinated everything so well on the day along with their staff.

After the ceremony, we had plans to go to Killarney for photos but we never ended up leaving the hotel! The grounds were just so beautiful there was no need to leave.

I could not recommend the Dunloe highly enough. All our family and friends are still talking about our beautiful wedding, the food, the scenery. We are so glad we got married in the Dunloe, it was a fabulous day and one we will always have lovely memories of. We look forward to visiting again soon.

long drive down to the hotel we knew it was a special place. The manager Jason was fantastic. He was so thorough when showing us around. We had our three young children with us and he made a real fuss of them which they loved.

The hotel is absolutely stunning and the view of the Gap is out of this world. It really is in a beautiful location and there is so much to do in and around the hotel we knew it would be a fantastic place for all our guests, especially as a large number would be travelling from England. Having young children, a major plus was that the hotel is so family friendly.

Throughout the planning Jason was so helpful. Any queries we had were promptly answered and he made the whole process a lot less stressful than we thought it would be.
A large number of our guests stayed at the hotel for a few days. They all said that the service was outstanding. All the staff were so attentive and friendly. They made everyone feel like VIPs.
On the day, the wedding was amazing from start to finish. We didn’t have to worry about a thing as Jason, Verdeep and the team had everything perfectly organised and running smoothly. The venue was perfect, it looked beautiful, the food was delicious and all the guests commented on what an amazing place it was. The staff were so helpful. One of our guests lost wipes for her baby and one of the staff actually went to the shop to get some for her!
We will definitely come back to the hotel with our children, as will a number of our guests, as it is such a fabulous place.

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough if you are looking for a wedding venue in Kerry. We had 5 star treatment from beginning to end!

describe how amazing this hotel is – everything about the place oozes class and 5 star hospitality from the second you enter the hotel.

The manager Jason is top top class – the staff are super-efficient and extremely professional and they tend to your every need from the moment you turn up the picturesque drive way

The drinks and food are second to none and I don’t say that lightly – the restaurant food is just simply outstanding– the service is absolutely stupendous

The gym , steam room and pool are situated so you can take in the excellent gardens and the scenic views are to die for

If you are ever thinking about a proper 5 star getaway in the amazing beautiful kingdom of Kerry one would be foolish not to stay here and literally kick back in heaven for a few days

Of course with the amenities and scenic views around Killarney you will want to get out and about but if at all possible please sit back for at least 48 hours and I promise you that you will come away from this hotel feeling like not a million dollars but a trillion dollars

Thanks to all the staff and Jason the manager for having us and our guests – each and every one of them are talking about when they will be returning again - we wish we could replay our special day here again and again

Thanks to all at the Dunloe for making us feel special and contributing towards the best day of our lives x x

all he boxes. It beautiful setting was breathtaking and left us speechless, my wife said to me “this place is special”. The Dunloe Hotel certainly embraces the 5 star standard. We were met with a smile and warm welcome and then taken on a tour of the hotel.

The planning process
During the planning process with the wedding coordinator Jason, we always felt like things were in order, we always had a constant line of communication with him there was no such thing as stupid question!! They made life very easy for us with their online award winning wedding guide helping us with wedding planning and seating arrangement etc. Their professional and efficient approach made it very easy for us to work with them.

Our wedding
On the 11th July 2015 myself and my wife got married it was one of the most important day of our life’s and the Dunloe experience made it even more memorable. We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and our guest had already arrived, they were greeted with champagne reception in the beautiful reception room looking out at the dramatic mountains.

All of our guests looked so relaxed and at ease and this flowed throughout the day. The food was beautiful and served with a smile from the very friendly staff. Each course was perfectly timed, and plate going back was empty some even wanting seconds The room was quickly set up for dancing afterwards, again requests were made, props in place etc. Through the day Jason & Veerpal and the staff were very attentive to our every needs continuously going the extra mile to make our stay and all our guests stay the best it could be.

A few months later I still have guests raving about our big day thanks to Jason and his team in the Dunloe Hotel

were the only people they had met that day. The settings were out of this world. Real world class elegance set amongst the backdrop of the Kerry mountains. For such a big hotel it is still so private you really feel like you are the only people there.
We had to look no further once we had seen The Dunloe. We decided on having our ceremony in the beautiful Beaufort Suite and then we had our pictures taken on the grounds of The Dunloe this way we were able to keep all our guests together for the day and it also meant we weren't away from them for too long as this is what we wanted most was to keep it intimate and The Dunloe made sure of this.
Next onto Jason and Veerpal I honestly can't say just how helpful and supportive both of them were throughout the whole 18month process. They always got straight back to me when ever I emailed them which also made planning the wedding so much easier and often put my mind to ease on queries I would have. Queries that to them were probably trivial but they always got back to me promptly and also always had a solution to my queries no matter what I asked the attitude was always if they can do it they will.
The wedding day itself exceeded all expectations. We got married on a Friday but we went down to Kerry and stayed in he Dunloe from the Wednesday with our parents and bridal party. All of the bridal party were upgraded to suites for the duration of their stay including us which was absolutely amamzing. On the Friday Jason and Veerpal co-ordinated the day superbly with out being intrusive, even from having the Dunloe bus to bring us and our bridal party to the area where we were getting our photographs taken which was on site!! Then Canapes being brought down to us so we wouldn't go hungry. It was all the little touches they initiated them selves that really made the day seamless. Our guests are still talking about the food we had guests from England and Singapore who said the food was the best they have ever experienced. The friendliness of the staff isn't cheesy or overwhelming we literally felt like family during our stay. For us it is like a little piece of heaven down there and we couldn't recommend it enough.

I have friends that were at the wedding that have come and stayed with you on numerous occasions since our wedding they liked it so much, In fact the year after our wedding we stayed for our anniversary just to enjoy the ambience and atmosphere as guests.
Very rarely do I say this but there was nothing I would change about the offering that you have. You and your team offer a bride and groom that feeling of being special from the very first moment and even when we go back to visit we always get a great welcome, it is never ending.

Our expectations were exceeded on all fronts and if I was to do it again tomorrow I would change nothing.

You have a fantastic platform and offering and we were lucky to be able to have Dunloe part of our dream for our wedding day. It was a pleasure.

My husband Stephen and I had our wedding reception at The Dunloe last June. To say that it was amazing is an understatement - the service provided at The Dunloe is impeccable. been nicer. There is a lovely, relaxing atmosphere at the hotel. From the moment you drive onto the grounds, you feel like you're away from distractions and can truly unwind. The staff are friendly yet so professional and nothing was a problem. Jason our wedding co-ordinator at the hotel was fantastic, he made great suggestions to us in the lead up to our wedding and really helped us to plan our day. He went through all the details with us on multiple occasions so we knew exactly what we were getting on the day. On the day itself the wedding reception was timed to perfection - the drinks reception was fabulous and the meal was outstanding - the quality was excellent. We still have guests raving about the meal and about how lovely the staff were. When we arrived at the hotel following the ceremony, we were whisked away for photographs on the beautiful grounds by a a member of the hotel staff who had a car ready for the photographer and us - just one of the lovely added touches proved by The Dunloe. Additionally, before the meal we were presented with complimentary drinks so that we could have a little private time together to chat whilst the staff settled our guests into the reception room. We highly recommend The Dunloe to anyone looking for a venue their wedding. You are guaranteed top quality dining, a relaxing and comfortable stay (the rooms are beautiful!!), and service with personal care and attention, which is exactly what you want for your wedding.

of Dunloe and the room was amazing for our special occasion.

The Dunloe Hotel Management and Staff provided 5 star support and service not only on the day, but in the lead up to the wedding. Nothing was left to chance. In effect, they removed the stress and we were made to feel like Royalty.
The reception and meal were outstanding and ticked all the boxes in terms of what we wanted and wished for. The rooms that our guests stayed in were luxurious and the grounds of the hotel provided beautiful gardens for all of our guests to explore and enjoy the following day. Overall, we cannot find fault with any aspect of The Dunloe Hotels major contribution to our wedding day and we would highly recommend this 5 star experience to anyone thinking of getting married in the future

As for the day itself it was absolutely amazing, everything ran very smoothly and calmly. The drinks reception was amazing with the breathtaking views to top off the lovely glasses of bubbles that were flowing. The function room was beautifully laid out and all our extra touches perfectly presented. The food was exquisite and is still spoken about by our guests to this day! The wedding suite itself was pure luxury, as well as the breath taking scenery from the balcony. It was the most sensational day that we will never forget and we would like to thank Jason and all this team for making our wedding so memorable and special.

"Honestly, we could not recommend The Dunloe more highly as a wedding venue. As a five star hotel it meets all expectations in terms of an eloquent setting (boasting arguably the most scenic views of the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks), luxury and comfort. However, what sets it apart from many other five

star hotels is its staff and their leader, the hotel manager, Jason Clifford.

In the run up to our wedding, Jason was always contactable and met our every demand with a can-do attitude. No is just not a word that features in his vocabulary. In addition to pandering to all of our needs, the staff at The Dunloe, drawing on their wealth of experience in hosting wedding receptions, provided us with many useful tips and resources which facilitated the event planning process.

The day itself ran without a hitch and not once was myself or my husband ever interrupted with any complications or problems. After the wedding, many of our guests not only complimented the hotel‘s surroundings and amenities but also gushed about how amazing the staff treated them. It was truly great to hear our guests say this because our primary focus in terms of the reception was that our guests would thoroughly enjoy themselves. There is a great amount of comfort in knowing that the hotel’s staffs’ extremely obliging and courteous manner not only extended to me and my husband but to all our guests as well.

Just one example, of the many I could give, of how the hotel staff goes above and beyond their duties without dramatics is how I had forgotten to inform the hotel of a particular guest’s food allergies. The day after our wedding, the particular guest affected came up and thanked me for providing a special menu for her. Mortified, I confessed I had not actually told the hotel about her situation. As it transpires, when ordering she reminded her waiter that she was the guest with the food allergies: wrongly assuming I had already told the hotel of her requirements which had been clearly set out in her RSVP. Rather than telling her it had not being given advance notice, behind the scenes the hotel somehow seamlessly came up with an entirely separate and, I am told, equally delicious menu for her. Each course of which came out in conjunction with our other guests’ courses."

When we first went about looking at hotels for our wedding we weren’t sure what we were looking for. We didn’t even know exactly what county we would have it. So our list of hotels visited was quite comprehensive. We visited the Dunloe when it was actually under construction during renovations.

We were met by trucks, labourers etc. but we were still sold on the place. That all started with the grounds and the surrounding views which to say they are spectacular doesn’t quite do it service. We next met Jason – who couldn’t have been nicer to us. He showed us around including where the drinks reception could be (2 choices depending on weather both better than we’d seen anywhere else), the hotel rooms including the bridal suite, where our guests would stay and finally the room where our reception would be. This room is perfectly sized and laid out. It has great natural light coming into it and also has great views from all angles of the surrounding scenery. We were sold.
The leading up to the day itself is always going to be hectic but in Jason we couldn’t have asked for more. He has vast experience of what works and doesn’t and helped us through every step. Recommendations for florists, music, surprises, church or anything else we could possibly think of. Menu tasting also couldn’t have went smoother.
On the day itself everything was just perfect. The venue, the food, the service, the grounds, everything. Couldn't have asked for more. Small touches that you never think about or ask for – the Dunloe delivered. Little things like the canopies and champagne been sent down to us while we were down doing our photos on the opposite end of the grounds to where the drinks reception was. Having a car sent down to pick us up from the photos so we could get back to our guest asap. The Dunloe delivered on everything they said they would and then did a lot more. All our guests are still talking about how amazing it all was and how nice the food was on the day. They really bent over backwards to make our day so special and were so attentive to our every need. The bridal suite was so beautiful and spacious. It needed to be on the morning as there was hairdressers, makeup people, photographers, videographer as well as bridesmaids and family. And yet there is a certain calmness you get while looking out at horses running on the grounds with a backdrop of the gap of Dunloe. All the rooms our guests stayed also had beautiful views. We ourselves will be back at this hotel as it is so special to us now but we were surprised to hear that several of our guests within a week after had booked a weekend later in the year for their families. In closing this is a 5 star hotel but at no point is there a snobby feel about the place. The entire staff couldn’t have been friendlier or nicer. Staff choice is obviously very important to the hotel and it shows. This hotel is part of our lives for the rest of our days and starting your marriage here is getting everything off to the best possible start

room coupled with the beautiful gardens and spectacular views all helped in our final decision to hold our wedding there. The personalised attention that we received in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding made the preparations quite seamless. The software app that the hotel provided us with was another added feature which assisted with the preparations. This proved to be a very user friendly and useful tool for gathering and collating all information along with arranging seating plans etc. On the morning of the wedding we received a text message from the hotel wishing us both the very best and reassuring us that everything would be looked after and for us to sit back and enjoy the day. This was a really nice touch which certainly started our big day on a positive note. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were met by Jason and his team at the door with prosecco for all of the bridal party. The bridal party were then chauffeured to the hotel gardens for photos. This was another touch which ensured that the bride's dress remained dry after the heavy rains earlier in the day! While taking our photos in the garden, a fabulous array of canapés were brought down to us thereby ensuring that we weren't missing out in the food which all of the other guests were enjoying in the hotel! Everything about the reception was really fantastic. The pre-dinner drinks reception in the upstairs foyer area was enjoyed by all. The mixture of drinks, canapés etc coupled with the magical setting looking out over the Gap of Dunloe put all of the guests in great form and set the theme for a truly memorable day. The main dinner reception was first class in every way. The food was sublime and service excellent. Many of the guests commented afterwards on the friendliness of all of the staff which was very perceptible. Everything throughout the day went off without a hitch and most importantly all of the guests including the bride and groom thoroughly enjoyed the day with lots of positive lasting memories. The hotel venue certainly played a big part in the overall experience.

We got married on the 1st of June and had our wedding reception at The Dunloe. From the first day that we met Jason to book our wedding, everything was so easy and enjoyable. Jason gave us great advice from the start and helped us find an excellent band 'collage'.

through-out the day, all of the staff were wonderful. We were able to relax and enjoy our day without any worries. We chose the Dunloe because of the wonderful location. But our main priority prior to the wedding was the food. We wanted all of our guests to enjoy an excellent meal. We have been to so many weddings where the food was a let-down and we didn't want that for our wedding. We really enjoyed our menu tasting prior to the wedding and we were assured that the same standard of food would be served to each of our guests on the day. And this was exactly what happened. Each and every one of our guests have complimented the food which was served both at the meal but also at the drinks reception. Everyone enjoyed it and that was really important to us!

All of the staff at the Dunloe helped make this the best day of our lives. We did not have to think about anything. It was totally stress free which allowed us to enjoy spending the day celebrating with our family and friends.

Also the grounds of the hotel were superb for photographs. This meant that we didn't have to travel elsewhere to take pictures and gave us more time to spend with our guests.

A big big thank you to Jason and all of his wonderful staff!

when we first met with Mr Jason Clifford the GM of the Dunloe. From our first encounter with Jason it was plain sailing up to and including our wedding day. His utter professionalism his manner, and attention to detail was out of this world, and made our preparations seem miniscule. Jason kept in regular contact without annoying us, advised without putting pressure on us, and on the day was captain of an All Ireland winning team. Our families & friends 12 months on are still talking about Jason, his courteous staff & wonderful venue. We would highly recommend to any reader to visit the Dunloe, sample the menu, and view the scenery before even considering any other location in Cork / Kerry for a wedding or any family occasion. From arrival to departure you are made feel like royalty with every member of staff considerate, courteous, & down to earth, all the time considering this is a 5 Star Hotel. Duncan in the restaurant on the morning of our wedding with his natural charm & wit reassured the groom & put nerves to bed. A true professional who was also raved about afterwards by visiting guests at our wedding. This review could extend for many more paragraphs but instead of ranting on & on the best advice is to visit here yourself, experience the Wow factor it has to offer, walk the grounds & witness the natural beauty that encompasses the place, then go in , have a drink, walk around, see for yourself, the friendly atmosphere and taste the fine menu on offer, you won't be disappointed. The Dunloe in a word 'CLASS'. Thank you Jason & Duncan & all the staff of the Dunloe, you made our day, we will never forget you or the venue, Fiona & Tony

We got married on the 12th September 2014 in The Dunloe and we cannot speak highly enough of the amazing service, venue, location, food and personal touch that Jason Clifford and the team provided in the fab venue of The Dunloe Hotel.

that our day ran as smoothly as possible. Before we had a chance to even think of worrying about anything, Jason had it sorted. From organising the reception room, adding personal touches, making sure the bride had everything I needed or wanted (before I thought of asking for it), making sure all of our guests were looked after for the whole weekend, making up for anything we had forgotten (before we’d even realised), providing such a professional service and making sure (most importantly) that we were made feel so welcome and special on our big day; - Our day went absolutely perfectly from start to finish. But it didn’t end there. We (plus a number of our guests) stayed at the hotel for a number of nights before and after the wedding, and although there was another wedding the following day, the service we received was the same personal service from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out.
Food: The food and wine was amazing and there was nothing we could fault. From the canapés to the fabulous dinner options (The beef was divine) and the assiette of desserts, which was delicious. Duncan and the restaurant staff were fantastic and they made sure everything was served to five star standards.
Venue & Location: The Dunloe is a spectacular location with amazing views of the Gap of Dunloe. It has the added benefit of being so close to Killarney, yet in an idyllic spot at the bottom of the mountains. Nestled onto 60 acres of grounds with a beautiful castle, gardens, river with views that you just can’t beat.

Dunloe staff, upon meeting the Manager, Jason Clifford we just knew we were in safe hands. Jason is a very personable and professional person who is highly skilled with wedding planning. What sets Jason apart from every other venue is that he genuinely gets excited about a wedding at The Dunloe and wants nothing less than the best for your big day. Jason's deputy and his staff are an absolute credit to his leadership skills, we knew how great the staff are from our trips to The Dunloe but to hear our guests comment how well mannered and friendly the staff were on the day was brilliant.

The Dunloe itself is a magical spot nestled in a countryside location with the most magnificent views of the Gap of Dunloe. The grounds are wonderful, the blossoming garden and woodland leads to the ruins of the Dunloe castle with breathtaking views of the River Laune...a photographers dream working environment.

The morning of our wedding my husband and I received a text from The Dunloe wishing us the best for the day but telling us to enjoy our day and relax knowing they would look after everything. In all honesty I'm sure every wedding party has a couple of nerves...you need only dismiss them when holding your wedding at The Dunloe. The text was as it read, we enjoyed our day whilst our guests were wined and dined with gourmet food and what amazed us the most was that Jason, and his team spent the day greeting and mingling with our guests to make sure they were ok...all day and all night. I have been to a lot of weddings in the Kerry area and never witnessed such care and attention. Almost two weeks on and our guests are still talking about the wedding and thanking us for such a fantastic day-the setting, the service, and the food!!

Ladies and Gents if your looking for your dreams to come true and have everlasting memories of your wedding day go see The Dunloe, we promise you won't be disappointed.

To all at The Dunloe, Jason, Duncan, Oliver, Simon and all others in the team, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We won't be strangers!!

My husband's family and friends all travelled from Portugal and The Dunloe really did show them the best of Irish hospitality with breathtaking views. We had a few things that we wanted specifically like Portuguese wine and Jason and Duncan were happy to accommodate and arranged a wine tasting for us. Everything felt so personal, we felt as though we were the only couple ever to get married!
On the day, our guests' every need was attended to, the room looked exactly as I had instructed and The Dunloe had everything completely under control such that I didn't worry about a single thing, the whole day just flowed.
The food was absolutely incredible, the guests were so surprised that they were offered a choice on the day and we're still getting compliments as to the exceptionally high quality of the meal. The staff serving the meal were delightful, the wonderful Bridie served our table and she was super helpful.
We had a large number of children at our wedding and again the Dunloe went over and above to ensure that the children were entertained and that the adults could enjoy their meal and their day knowing that their kids were being cared for.
Many of guests stayed at The Dunloe and they loved the rooms and the facilities, from horseriding to golf and kayaking, this place really does have everything.
I could not have wished for any more on my wedding day than The Dunloe, they really did make all of our dreams come true, the day was perfect so a big thanks to Jason, Duncan and all the team there.

We celebrated our wedding in the beautiful Dunloe Castle Hotel in July 2013. We had an amazing, memorable day that was made possible by the outstanding service provided by the team in the Dunloe. There are many aspects of this hotel that impressed us and our guests. Firstly, it is set in beautiful

grounds against the spectacular background of the Dunloe gap. As a result we took all of our photographs on the hotel grounds leaving us more time to spend with our guests. As the weather was beautiful we had our drinks reception outdoors under the gazebo and the large outdoor terrace adjoining the function room was used a lot during the evening. The food was excellent, from the canapés to the fillet of beef; which was singled out for much praise by many guests.

There were a number of the wedding party who had young children at the wedding and they were very impressed with the amenities provided by the hotel; indoor heated swimming pool, large playground, kids club and provision of babysitters. Perhaps the biggest aspect of the hotel that impressed us so much were the staff. Jason Clifford and his team provided us with a superb service, managing to provide excellent attention to detail while maintaining a lovely relaxed feel to the occasion. It is obvious that this hotel prides itself on providing an outstanding, personal wedding service. We would like to thank the hotel and staff for making our wedding day so special and would highly recommend the Dunloe as a wedding venue to other couples.

Myself and my husband gave ourselves 2 years to plan our wedding, but, being the impatient souls we are ditched that plan and decided to do it all in just 4 months. We knew from the very first instant that we drove up the fairy tale drive that this was the hotel for us. We arrived on a dull, wet and

miserable day and yet The Dunloe still looked out of this world. Jason is an absolute credit to the wedding planning area of this hotel he really couldn't have been any more attentive; nothing was impossible. We knew we were in safe hands.

Not once did we panic wondering would everything be done, it just was. The atmosphere was literally unforgettable, as many of our guests keep saying, months on! Jason and his team ensured all guests were well looked after. It really meant a lot to us to have someone who knew how much we wanted everyone to enjoy every second of our day. We were free and easy in the knowledge everyone was looked after and we could bask in the atmosphere!

The room itself is amazing, the first time I saw it my breath was swept away. I would recommend to anyone to go down on a dull day, then you can really get the sense of how spectacular your day can be even when the weather isn't on your side :) the layout is impeccable, you can see each and every one of your guests from the top table, and they can see you. We had roughly 150 at our wedding and everyone was comfortable (although if memory serves me right the room can take 220 easily).

The food deserves a paragraph all to itself! The tasting was so professionally conducted that we actually learned quite a bit about wines and which ones to choose. The wines on offer are of great value and Duncan is definitely your man when it comes to advice! We were nearly rolled out of the hotel that evening we were so full! We would highly, HIGHLY recommend the fillet beef and salmon, each and every guest commented on the food, and still are! First time I've ever heard guests raving about the vegetable soup, food was immaculate, enough said! I was so excited that day I didn't get to eat my dinner (husband made sure he did though, typical!) but one of the lovely staff, Mary, ensured I ate something and gave me my weight in desserts! This just shows how attention to detail is second to none, they are a genuinely caring staff, from Jason right through.

All in all, I'm so glad we went with our gut instincts and chose this hotel. There are hotels that will offer you the sun, moon and stars for business but The Dunloe actually delivers on its promises, you get what you pay for and the memories are priceless. I'm sure there were areas I fell down on as a nervous bride to be, but Jason and Louise picked up on all the pieces I forgot and gave us a day we will truly and honestly never forget, it was seamless. I cannot thank them enough :)

to help give our guests the full five star experience.
As for the day itself, we had very high expectations but Jason Clifford, Elizabeth Fricke and their fabulous staff far exceeded those expectations. They made it all seem so easy. Nothing was a problem to them. Our guests were blown away by the beautiful reception lounge looking out on the Gap of Dunloe as they sipped champagne and nibbled on some of the tastiest canapes imaginable.
The meal was met with the highest of compliments. Some of the comments made by our guests were "the finest meal ever served at a wedding", and another "the nicest starter I've ever had, be it at a wedding or a restaurant". As for our own comments; we could not give enough praise to the chef and staff. The meal was of the highest quality and served promptly.
The whole day was truly a fairytale.
To all at The Dunloe, a massive Thank You for giving us a wedding day we thought we could only have dreamed about.
We are happy to give The Dunloe our highest recommendation if you want an extra special wedding day experience.

The Dunloe is a wonderful venue. Our guests had a fantastic day and all of them were highly complementary of the food and service.

poor, the hotel interior is lovely, and takes advantage of the views outside.

The staff are excellent. They combine 5 star service with warm hospitality. Many of our guests commented on the friendliness of the staff, and the age and longevity of service of some staff is noteworthy. There was a feeling that some staff had been in the hotel for many years. and that helped make people feel at home. The hotel manager, Jason Clifford, looked after everything we asked for, and some things we hadn´t even thought of.

The bridal suite is a lovely room. I think there are two, and we had the one at the front of the hotel with wonderful views over the Gap of Dunloe and the mountains beyond.

All of our guests loved the food. The smoked salmon starter and the fillet of beef seemed to be particular favourites. I can´t imagine any wedding meal getting more complements from guests.

About half of our guests stayed in the hotel and most of those said they would return.

Many thanks from both of us.

My mother needed some extra care and this was more than seen to on the day. If I was to go back in time, I most certainly would not pick any other hotel over Dunloe Castle. We were abroad for the most of the time trying to plan the wedding. I unfortunately had to send many emails- Throughout this time Jason let me in confidence and delivered which was a most spectacular day and night at a stunning hotel and location. I have travelled to many hotels wordlide and this is a world class hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Dunloe Castle. We will be visiting again this Summer. Jo

Clifford and his team. From the outset nothing was too much trouble for the staff and any query or request was dealt with courteously and promptly. Mr. Jason Clifford gave us his full attention and focus on the run up to and on the day itself. He and his team were so helpful. It was very impressive to see the General Manager remain at the wedding for the duration! We received countless compliments on the Dunloe's behalf on their beautiful setting , the atmosphere in the hotel and their exquisite food. The service on the day was simply 5-star, even at 4.30 in the morning! The facilities for children (games room and playground) were a wonderful bonus. Unlike other places we looked into, the Dunloe was very professional in its requirements for weddings. The Hotel required a reasonable deposit and the full amount was payable after the wedding. Also there was no unreasonable request to book out the hotel or a large proportion of rooms. Our wedding was all we had hoped for and more, and we will definitely recommend Dunloe Castle to friends and family in the future. A warm thank you to you all at Dunloe Castle who made our wedding so special. We could not have hoped for a more perfect day! Holding our wedding at the hotel was definitely one of the best decisions we made. We are truly taken with the hotel and the staff and we will be seeing you year on year on our anniversary! We appreciate all the effort that the team put in. to make our day one to remember forever. Lynn and Ed Booth

In July 2011 we had the pleasure of having our wedding in the Hotel Dunloe Castle, Killarney. The entire process was such an enjoyable experience, stress free from beginning till end, and was made possible not only by the entire staff of the hotel but, in particular by the manager Mr. Jason

Clifford. From our very first meeting, to our heartfelt departure he was the epitome of composure, confidence and sophication. He was always honest, considerate and helpful when it came to finalising our day. No task was too small or too large and he was a pillar of pure professionalism at all times. The advice Jason gave us on various points highlighted his better judgement which can only come from experience and I cannot articulate how much we appreciate his expertise. His staff were equally as efficient and eager to help in whatever way possible. From beginning the task of choosing a venue to host our wedding celebration appeared to be a difficult one, but in hindsight it turned out to be quite easy. As the Munster region, and Kerry in particular, has a well deserved reputation for being Ireland's premier wedding destination the responsibility of picking just one venue seemed daunting. However, as soon as we arrived in The Hotel Dunloe Castle we knew it was special. It exuded sophication, elegance and 5-star luxury. The scenery is spectacular and all our guests felt like they were in a tranquil paradise far from the hustle and bustle of busy city life. It's the perfect location to immerse yourself in the fabulous activities the hotel and the region has to provide, making you and your guests feel like celebrities. Another major influencing factor for choosing Hotel Dunloe Castle was the high quality of the food. I can honestly say that we've never experiencing this standard and presentation of food at a wedding before. Every guest was completely satisfied and the wine complimented it to perfection. The unique evening food proved a huge success also. 5 stars doesn't do it justice!!!! The wedding day itself ran to schedule for the most part, but Jason had everything under control when things didn't go according to plan. There was no room for any 'Bridezilla' antics as the staff were completely diligent and hard-working. The staff made everyone feel so welcome and important that many ended up extending their stay or even made reservations for the future. A true testament to the level of luxury it provides. Finally, a wedding in The Hotel Dunloe Castle is an exceptionally special thing. It's the whole package - the perfect location for photographs, mouth watering food, outstanding service and ultimate luxury. Once you experience a wedding here, I can honestly say, you will be glad you didn’t go anywhere else. Eternally grateful Sinead & Gary

to worry about a thing. The food is of a very high standard and feels more like a restaurant than a large hotel function. As we are not from Kerry, I stayed in the hotel the night before and got ready in the room. We had five women getting ready with makeup artist and hairdresser and there was more than enough room for everybody. Every window has an amazing view. The drinks reception has a terrace overlooking the spectacular gap. The reception room has dual aspect, with a garden terrace on one side and views of the open countryside on the other. The gardens are immaculately maintained with the ruins of an old castle keep. You won't need to go any further for photos. They also have a lovely playground for kids and a games room. The day was relaxed from start to finish and I couldn't thank them enough for the most amazing day and all their help. You should definitely go to view this hotel. Book your wedding here, you won't regret it!

When we got married they really made us all feel incredibly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We got some suggestions from Jason on music and lighting/decorations and the place looked absolutely stunning. We had friends over from London and the USA and they all thought it was one of the most beautiful rooms they had seen. The rooms in the hotel itself are gorgeous with some amazing views of the beautiful Kerry countryside. There is loads to do in the hotel itself and its a perfect place for a wedding as all the photos can be taken onsite. We with the help of Jason arranged for helicopter trips over the Gap of Dunloe and there aren't too many places where you can do that on your doorstep! I couldn`t recommend the hotel and staff enough. It`s proper hospitality with incredible professionalism. We could`t be happier with the choice of venue we made. Thanks to everyone in Dunloe. If you are getting married there, make sure to get a photo overlooking the lake and also down by the Castle! The function room was ideal, and spacious. The thing we loved about this venue was that everyone stayed together and people were not going off to the bar in the hotel. They all stayed down in the function room-expect for the smokers! However they have a fab smoking area right outside the function room-and the rugs that were provided for the smokers was a lovely touch! We cannot recommend Dunloe Castle highly enough to anyone considering a wedding in beautiful Killarney.

1 priority, and the food and wine in Dunloe were second to none - (we had gone to seven tastings in other 5-star venues in Ireland but their food was not as good and the wine selections were poor). The drinks reception had a terrific atmosphere because the space was ideal to host drinks and snacks. The reception room for our dinner was bright and spacious, with a good dance floor. The hotel staff were outstanding - very attentive and professional and helpful with a great eye for detail. They made sure everything on the day ran perfectly smoothly. During the champagne reception, our guests enjoyed the beautiful views of the Gap of Dunloe, while the gardens were an ideal backdrop for our wedding photographs. Our day was perfect and thoroughly enjoyable - with a friendly family atmosphere, because most of our guest stayed in the hotel and in the area. One worry we had was that Killarney is a long way from Dublin (where we both work). In fact this turned out to be the opposite, since our Dublin guests had a great excuse to spend a weekend away - and they enjoyed the hotel spa and swimming pool (25 metre pool) and the beauty of Kerry the following morning. Some of our guests with small children were able to have babysitters so they really liked the idea of a mini-holiday for them and the children in the magic of Kerry. We wish we could do it all again tomorrow! 10 out of 10.
