Our original wedding date was May 2020. Debbie and her colleagues in the G hotel were really flexible when it came to rescheduling our date and didn’t put any pressure on us which was amazing, their focus was on us truly having the wedding day that we had dreamed of.
Once we decided to go ahead with our September wedding Debbie and her colleagues at the hotel rowed in behind us to ensure everything was as stress free as possible. Instead of stressing we were able to enjoy the build up to the wedding. The day itself was more magical than we could have ever imagined. All of our guests were blown away by the reception and also the ballroom which Debbie and her team had presented beautifully taking our ideas on board. The service was incredibly professional. The hotel is unique whereby it is five star luxury with a really personal touch and calm down-to-earth atmosphere that makes you feel at home. We are still getting compliments on the quality of the food, it was restaurant standard for a wedding which people were amazed by. Maurice (food and beverage manager) was around the entire wedding weekend to offer support and ensure everything was going to plan.
We stayed in the Linda Evangelista suite the night of the wedding which was a lovely perk. We were able to get amazing photos with the G as a setting and with Galway city on their doorstep we got photos down shop street, the Claddagh and Salthill.
The G hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts and we are forever grateful to Debbie and Maurice and their team for delivering an unforgettable day for us and our guests. We could not recommend the G hotel enough

Our wedding coordinator was Lisa Mullally and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. On our first meeting with Lisa she made us feel like we were the hotels only customers, she truly went above and beyond to make our day so relaxed and magical. She really showed her extensive knowledge and experience in this industry and made the day run so smoothly.
Hotel looked fantastic on the day. We had a civil ceremony in the hotel so this was one of the main reasons we picked the hotel in the first place. Looked beautiful for the ceremony and then again for the reception. Felt magical on a winters evening with all the candelabras. Wedding suite was outstanding and all the guests couldn't get over how nice their rooms were.
The food on and after the day of the wedding was flawless and the compliments from all the guests were that they loved the choices available and even complimented the soup course which goes to show the care that went into every single dish. High praise for all the canapes and nibbles in the drinks reception and evening. Every guest mentioned they we’re not going to go hungry for days!
Overall we couldn't have asked for anything better and the package was outstanding value for money. All the small touches combined to make our wedding day better than we could have imagined. We look forward to spending many anniversaries here.

It really shone like a star. Organising such a big event can be very stressful however The G Hotel made it extremely easy for us. There was never an issue. The attention to detail was outstanding. They were fantastic especially with the function room. They way they had it all laid out from the decor to the dressing of the tables and chairs with fresh flowers for all our tables. constantly on the day so we had minimal pictures outside. The food exceeded expectations, especially the beef which arrived to everyone as ordered. Everyone got a kick out of the synchronised service at each table.
Jana was great as our main coordinator. She talked us through all our options, took the time to meet us whenever we wanted, was able to draw on what the hotel had done for other weddings and made sure everything turned out the way we wanted. Any little extras we wanted were never a problem. She was there until after the meal on the day to make sure everything ran smoothly and even took a few pictures for us of guests leaving for the ceremony. She also managed to update the table plan when we had a guest cancel the morning of.
We received so many compliments from our guests on venue choice, especially on how friendly the staff were and the food. We're so happy with our choice and would recommend it to anyone. We can't thank the staff of the G, especially Jana, enough.

The welcome reception was held in the "Cream Room" and guests were treated to Phillip Tracey's intricate interior design. We had high expectations and a clear vision of what we wanted from our wedding. Not only were these expectations met, they were surpassed on every level. We could not have imagined it any better.
From our drinks reception in the Grand Salon to the lavishness of the G Hotel’s ballroom, the décor in the G provided the ultimate backdrop to a truly different wedding. The food was outstanding (our guests were amazed - so a big thanks to Pauline and her team). The Whiskey Tasting (which was a first for a wedding in the G) was a real hit and the way in which our wedding cheesecake was displayed was out of this world.
The attention to detail all throughout our wedding weekend was extraordinary.

Jana was great as our main coordinator. She talked us through all our options, took the time to meet us whenever we wanted, was able to draw on what the hotel had done for other weddings and made sure everything turned out the way we wanted. Any little extras we wanted were never a problem. She was there until after the meal on the day to make sure everything ran smoothly and even took a few pictures for us of guests leaving for the ceremony. She also managed to update the table plan when we had a guest cancel the morning of.
We received so many compliments from our guests on venue choice, especially on how friendly the staff were and the food. We're so happy with our choice and would recommend it to anyone. We can't thank the staff of the G, especially Jana, enough.

We would like to let you know what amazing staff you have at the g, in particular since you took over as wedding coordinator the experience has been incredible. Your honestly impeccable and I can't commend highly enough. You went above and beyond, even staying later than meant too to ensure everything went smoothly. We can't thank you enough.
Joe, on the night of the wedding, couldn't be more helpful in any way. He was efficient, friendly, watchful over everything and we even had a few laughs along the way too. He's a great guy! Dean and the rest of the team were equally as helpful also, that night and the following morning.
Thanks to the bar staff for putting up with us! They were fantastic both for the wedding and in the lounge.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I genuinely can't thank you all enough.

We had high expectations and a clear vision of what we wanted from our wedding. Not only were these expectations met, they were surpassed on every level. We could not have imagined it any better.
From our drinks reception in the Grand Salon to the lavishness of the G Hotel’s ballroom, the décor in the G provided the ultimate backdrop to a truly different wedding. The food was outstanding (our guests were amazed - so a big thanks to Pauline and her team). The Whiskey Tasting (which was a first for a wedding in the G) was a real hit and the way in which our wedding cheesecake was displayed was out of this world.
The attention to detail all throughout our wedding weekend was extraordinary.
The above was only made possible thanks to Rachel, Aoife, Triona, David, Pauline and the entire team at the G Hotel. It is so hard to express how amazing our experience (and that of our wedding party, family and guests) was thanks to these people.
Waking up the morning after our wedding we knew we had made the right choice.
