10 Top Tips For Planning A Hen Party

Tips for Planning a Hen Party

Attention all bridesmaids, are you planning the upcoming hen night? Are you struggling? Could you do with some help? If yes to all of the above, then you need to read on! We have a brilliant guest blog this week from Shane McCrann at Elite Hen Parties.

1. Plan Well in Advance

To have the best night possible you need to plan! This will give you time to explore the options available, give your fellow hens lots of notice and allowing time to save for the big weekend. More planning – less stress. Channel your inner Monica!!

2. Research

There are so many options around Ireland that hen parties can avail of. If you are struggling,  there are various companies who specialise in organising trips for hens, so you don’t have to worry about the research! Either way, do some research and get an idea what’s available.

3. What Do You Want?

Gather as many ideas as possible. Different Locations? Activities? Entertainment? This is a weekend for fun and frolics so make sure you have every minute planned with various aspects. Compile a list, see what looks the most interesting, what will suit the group, time of year, size of party etc.

4. Organising the Party

Set up a private Facebook group so everyone can be kept in the loop and updated. It’s a super way of building anticipation and excitement for the weekend. This is also a great idea for people that don’t live very close to each other, but if you are all close then have a girly night beforehand to kick it all off!

5. Ask! Ask! Ask!

Whether you are planning a hen party alone or through a company, ask as many questions as possible. There is no such thing as a silly question. This way you understand everything, have all the details and know exactly what you’re paying for.

6. Know Your Bride

Is the hen party location a surprise for the bride? It is best to involve lots of activities that she will enjoy, there is no point including something that will make her uncomfortable, so plan carefully.

7. The Guest List

Invite people you know the bride to be would want there; it is her party! This is her weekend and it is important her nearest and dearest are there to celebrate with her, as well as have a lot of fun.

8. Be Inventive

Add your own touches to the party to make it more personal. Make up a weekend time capsule? Write some special memories to open on her wedding day? Create a signature cocktail and name it after her?

9.Checklists and Lists

I cant say the word “List” enough! Keeping track of finances from everyone is a big ask and when you have deposits and timelines to adhere to, keeping a list will make this a million times easier. This allows you to plan the itinerary of the weekend easier, too.

10. Relax and Breath

When you are there, enjoy it! This is your weekend also, you may have planned it, but you can celebrate too, so go wild!
