We ran this survey from January 2010 till now and the results are in! We had 260 respondants to our survey, so thank you so much to you all for taking part!
What did we come up with?!
- 40% of couples now getting married within 12 months of getting engaged.
- July is still the most popular month to get married, but winter weddings are on the rise with nearly 30% of people now tying the knot in the cold weather months.
- 10% of couples are choosing registered civil ceremony venues instead of the traditional church wedding.
- More people set the date first and then shop around for their perfect wedding venue.
- 15% of people are opting for country house, castle and “alternative” wedding venues as opposed to a hotel. wedding
