After opening her studio in 2013, the self-confessed girly girl sponsored Dublin Rose of Tralee 2014 Headpieces for the International Tour Festival.  If that’s not enough credentials to persuade you to fall in love with her pieces, Ashleigh’s creations recently graced UK Vogue’s Royal Enclosure Ascot Feature.

“I was absolutely thrilled and honoured to be a part of their Royal Enclosure at Ascot Feature. It’s every milliners dream to have this amazing exposure and I’m feeling very proud right now.”

The hat guru takes inspiration from architecture and pairs this with style influences from the 1930’s right through to the 1950’s. The result is a bridal collection perfectly fit for an old-school Hollywood glamour themed wedding. Providing simple elegance for the classic bride.

“I adore nature and all its possibilities and it inspires me to create different styles depending on the season. I also quite like architectural design and I find that I incorporate this into my collections.”

“I think the trend this year for brides seems to be moving more to traditional and sophisticated pearl, vintage inspired pieces. They are still staying with traditional colours of white, cream, ivory, oyster, champagne and gold.”

“I would recommend that brides-to-be should visit my studio, try on lots of different styles and be broad-minded as sometimes they may have a style in mind but it’s always good to try different styles to see what will suit.

“As a general rule of thumb, the higher you place a headpiece, the more dramatic the look. This is also true to hair brooches and slides, apply them closer to your face if you want them to stand out more.”
