We fell head over heels for Gvidas and Bronwyn’s Fall In Love wedding theme – and did we mention they are the cutest couple ever! Bronwyn was the earliest bride to ever arrive at their church and her excitement is palpable from their gorgeous photographs taken by Elaine Barker Photography. The moment their eyes met at the altar was magical and they danced among the autumn leaves before celebrating with family and friends at Thomas Prior Hall on October 24th 2015.
Born and bred in Dublin, Bronwyn moved to the UK in 2012 for an engineering job. While Lithuanian born Gvidas lived in Finland, then Scotland and relocated to Warwickshire to pursue an engineering job in the automotive industry. They met quite by accident in a little place that is no longer there. Bronwyn’s family were visiting and after dropping them in the hotel, she was meeting a friend for one (on a school night) while Gvidas was at the first pit-stop on an evening out with friends. Numbers were exchanged and a friendship blossomed.
Not out-of-the-ordinary, Gvidas organised an outing in late January. The premise was a belated birthday meal as Christmas had been very busy travelling and visiting family. A secret road trip to the beautiful Coombe Abbey for what can only be described as Bronwyn’s favourite activity – afternoon tea. After tea, Gvidas suggested a stroll around the grounds before heading home. It was in a clearing in the woods that a proposal (completely by surprise) was made and accepted.
Tender moments of the pair strolling in the autumn sunshine against stunning Dublin City landmarks were captured by their photographer Elaine Barker. “Her ability to make us both feel at ease and the quality of photographs she has given to us to admire forever. Elaine was so professional in every aspect of her work, from meeting us before (twice), to her commitment on the day, starting early, staying late, going above and beyond to get us the pictures we have today. Her manner was professional yet warm. We would not hesitate to ask her to do more work for us or recommend her.”
The pair both love autumn and really wanted the day to reflect the time of year. “We chose colours, table displays and flowers that we thought would remind us and our guests of the natural beauty of seasonal change.”
Rustic leaves, mini pumpkins and pine cones were scattered across the tables at Thomas Prior Hall. “For us it was the atmosphere of the room. There was a magical feeling when we stepped into it. It was beautifully lit up with candles and the exquisite chandeliers. Other factors for us was its location and the quality of food served.”
Bronwyn looked perfectly pretty in an an Ivory Mori Lee sleeveless tulle ball gown with a high illusion neckline and beaded sweetheart bodice. “I loved it from the moment I tried on. In total, I think I tried on about 10 dresses but couldn’t stop thinking about that one, it was very comfortable to wear and I felt like a princess in it.”
