Bellinter House dates back to 1750, and was designed by Richard Castle for John Preston, grandfather of the first Lord Tara, as a country retreat for the wealthy Preston family. This stately Palladian villa, nestled among magnificently landscaped grounds and ancient trees, still exudes an elegant country pile vibe.
Upon arrival, your guests will be captivated by the bold and edgy interior, in complete contrast with the classic exterior.
Bespoke wedding ceremonies are our specialty. With beautiful grounds and historic Georgian house, we have so many unique locations to say, ‘I do’. From the stunning Weeping Beech tree on our front lawn, our back patio overlooking the Boyne Valley in the background, or the Georgian Nunnery Suite with its arched ceilings and ornate pillars – we have the on-site ambience to suit all tones.
After your Ceremony, your guests will gather between the main focal point of the house, the Drawing Room, and our Back Patio for the big Arrival Reception. They will then be escorted down the winding staircase, through the atmospheric Cellar, to our newly decorated Georgian-inspired Refectory Suite, which can seat up to 206 guests for dinner and has a full private bar. Dance the night away to views of our beautiful gardens.
Guests will then take the staircase to bed in one of our 44 uniquely styled bedrooms, with accommodation available for up to 100 guests overnight. We can offer you exclusive use of our beautiful house & landscaped grounds for your big day, creating a truly once in a lifetime ‘home away from home’ experience.
