Bianca and Brendan exchanged vows on the 18th of April surrounded by their family and friends. The bride looked radiant in an on-trend backless gown while their vintage touches were complimented with bright pops of colour and the unique setting of the Station House Hotel. Having their children and family present meant everything to this pair. Each smile and magical moment was captured by their photographer Alan Dunne.
After working together for a few years, Bianca and Brendan finally decided to date! Alas, Bianca left Ireland to go travelling with her friends. Of course, true love waited and on her return, the couple started back from where they left off. One day Brendan said ‘are you ever gonna marry me? And his answer was ‘ask me and see what happens’.
The rest was history and their fabulous day is proof that you can plan a wedding in five weeks!!
In February, the Station House Hotel, teamed up with the Today Show on RTE to offer one lucky couple the chance to win a wedding reception to the value of €20,000. The prize included a full wedding package for 100 people including the ceremony and reception at the Station House PLUS flowers, dresses, cars, photographer and everything else you could possibly want for your dream wedding.
To win the prize, each couple had to send in a one minute video about themselves. And Bianca and Brendan were crowned winners of the competition.
“It was always hanging over us not being married. Once it happened and especially how it happened, with us winning this amazing prize, made it tons more special. And of course, for everyone around us too!”
Nestled in the Boyne Valley, their outdoor ceremony was truly magical at the Station House Hotel. The lush greens of the forest offset against the groom’s dapper suit were a perfect match. And the glittering spring sunlight filtering through the cascading branches added a touch of whimsical romance to the day.
Bianca’s dress complete with full tulle skirt was alluring yet oozed classical femininity. A simple yet elegant bird-cage style hair piece mirrored the old school charm of the wedding venue which is steeped in history. “I loved my dress from the minute I laid eyes on it. I spent the day walking about in it and loved every minute. It was on for every dance too!”
Her beautiful blossoms from Flowers By Moira in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath, were oh so stunning and popped in every photograph.
“We were made feel so special from the staff at the Station House Hotel, their attention to detail was brilliant. The outdoor area with original turn-table was nothing like we had seen before. Nor had we ever been to a wedding like that. The children loved the forest area. They played safely all night, hiding and looking for fairies or goblins! It was so great to allow them run free in this enclosed place. A great day was had by all that we will never ever forget. The Station House spoke for itself really.”
“Our photographer Alan Dunne was completely calm and professional. He made us feel at ease straight away and blended into the background. This really helped me on the day as I find it hard to enjoy having my photograph taken!”
“The most special moment of our big day was realising everyone was there for us! After being to so many weddings in the past, this day was all ours. Having my kids and two nieces involved as flower girls made it absolutely perfect. And my sister Rachel’s dancing was crazy! Everyone comments on her moves from the night!”
A special thank you to Bianca and Brendan for sharing their gorgeous day with us and to their photographer Alan Dunne for allowing us to use these breath-taking shots.
