We have another great treat for you this Tuesday morning; another Bridal Story! We love hearing about these real life stories and this is a fab one! This week’s Bridal Story comes from a lovely bride-to-be who decided to take a chance with booking her wedding dress online:
I started looking for wedding dresses online in April 2013, which was about 18 months before my wedding date in September 2014. My reception will be in Harvey’s Point, Donegal and I can’t wait!
I began searching for suppliers close to the hotel and online, and eventually found my heart set on beautiful Maggie Sottero piece, a Carina dress in Ivory.
I know it is tradition to have the bridal party and my mother to accompany me to try on dresses but I couldn’t wait and took a risk ordering online! I fell in love with the dress and just decided to go for it.
My dress arrived two days later in perfect condition. It’s a dropped waist Vicenza Organza gown. The bodice is composed of beaded lace embellishments ornamented with Swarovski crystals. The asymmetrical waist is highlighted with a dramatic organza bow, and the gown is completed with a corset closure. I am a size 18 at the minute due to disability and unable to exercise, so I have joined slimming world and my target weight is 10 stone. I purchased a size 12 dress and my main weight loss goal is to fit into it, this will continue to keep me motivated until my special day.
After the wedding, I plan to keep my dress just like my mother did. Personally, I have great memories of playing dress up and trying on her dress as a child and think it’s a great tradition to carry on.
