It seems to be the new celeb trend, Kelly Clarkson followed suit and took to Twitter to announce her engagement to partner Brandon Blackstock. “I’M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever”, the singer shared the news of her celebrity engagement with her more than 2 million followers last night!
The former American Idol winner went that step further by even tweeting a photo of the ring, and we were all too delighted to get a peek! The coloured rock was described as a ‘canary yellow diamond with diamonds around it’, Kelly’s now fiance is said to have designed it himself with the help of Johnathon Arndt, one of the most prestigious jewellers in Beverly Hills.
Brandon is a talent manager and the couple met just over a year ago. Just in October, Kelly told American Idol host Ryan Seacrest that it was love at first sight, ” We were just in a room together, and then he came up and said he was from the same hometown as me and I was like, ‘oh we’re so getting married,’ I was so that girl. When he became single, I was on the prowl.” At least she was honest!
Although they haven’t announced a date yet, from Kelly’s track record on Twitter we will be on the lookout for an announcement! Let us know id you see one first!
