When another celebrity wedding came under the radar, we were all only delighted for Adele and partner Simon Konecki. Few of us looked thoroughly enough to see these were only wedding speculations made by certain media sources! There was a lot of ‘did they or didn’t they’, until the lady herself put the rumours to sleep. On Thursday Adele tweeted “I’m not married…Zzzzzzz”.
The rumours first came to the surface by ‘Life&Style’ when a photo of Adele last month in London wearing a gold wedding band ring was printed on their front page. That was enough to get everyone talking! Apparently seeing as Adele and Simon had kept her pregnancy secret for so long, it was likely they may have also already got married. Further ‘proof’ surfaced when a source told The Daily Mail “They did get married, and I was present. It was a fabulous occasion. Adele was dressed in a classic attire and Simon looked very smart and joyous.” This was apparently a close source to the star…
Adele announced that herself and Simon were expecting their first child on June 29th via her website. She posted: “I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx”. This open announcement gives me the feeling that if or when Adele and Simon do get hitched, she might also choose to announce it publicly!
The couple met last summer, but did not announce their relationship until the beginning of the new year. The two were introduced by fellow singer Ed Sheeran. Simon already has a child from his previous marriage with stylist Clary Fisher. This will be the first marriage for Adele who has formerly been unlucky in love. Her former relationships provided her with plenty of inspiration for her hit albums ’19’ and ’21’.
Now that Adele has cleared that one up, we’ll continue to wait for our invite!
