We love pretty formal dresses, which are so perfect for weddings. Seeing all the guests decked out in their finest outfits is always a pleasure to see! Every guest has their own style but personally, I love structured statement pieces. So, with that in mind, this week we are loving the structured vintage styles and fabrics of Charlotte and Jane.
Charlotte and Jane are a custom designed and Irish produced label whose looks are inspired by the forties and fifties. Each outfit takes about four weeks to complete, including fittings and mid production fittings. We are in love with their signature hour-glass silhouettes and gorgeous silk materials!
These looks are perfect for guests who love tailored classic looks with a fun colourful twist. If you’re totally unsure on where to start with guest wear, here are some quick tips:
- Keep it simple. Pretty and romantic looks, rather than edgy pieces are usually best.
- The Same goes for hair and make up. Wear what you normally would, while keeping it simple.
- The white rule is pretty important. Some brides don’t mind the idea of their guests wearing white, cream or ivory, and others do. If you don’t know the bride very well just avoid the idea altogether!
- No jeans. Under any circumstances! The same goes for tight or revealing clothing. No exceptions!
