Dress of The Week: Elie Saab

Dress of The Week: Elie Saab

We are often found trawling through Pinterest for inspiration for beautiful bridal pieces. More than anything, we love finding beautiful and interesting pieces. When we mention ‘beautiful’ and ‘interesting’ its no surprise that Elie Saab’s name can often be mentioned not too long after.

The Lebanese fashion designer, Elie Saab has made a name for himself with celebrity and royal clients such as Princess Beatrice of York, Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, Beyoncé, Catherine Zeta Jones, Halle Berry and many more.

This month, we have fallen in love with Elie Saab’s Couture Fall 2013 piece. The full length, sleeved backless heather grey piece just says sophisticated and chic. The gorgeous gown is fitted at the waist with a beautiful blast of sequins cascading down to the skirt.

His Fall 2013 collection is full of colour and sparkle. All the pieces contain his signature focus for waist synching looks that have made him such a red carpet favourite. Here, Saab gives them a embroidered regal feel with a fresh and contemporary take adding geometric shoulder cutouts.

Our favorite, without any doubt is this floor length, long sleeved piece. The inspiration for Kate Middleton’s bridal gown can still be noticed on the runway but this time, Saab, has given it a modern twist. This gown would be gorgeous with a fingerwave curl, short blunt bob and fringe or even with an elegant bun as worn on the runway.

A dream dress for sure, it is gorgeous!
