An outdoor ceremony in April – in Ireland! Unheard of. Props to Claire and Gary for pulling off their magical garden nuptials set against breathtaking views of Kenmare Bay.
The pair said ‘I Do’ to non-traditional accompanying music to pay tribute to their favourite movies and TV shows – Jurassic Park theme for Gary and BBC’s period drama Emma for the bride. Sean Clarke Photography captured the vibrancy of the day and its close-knit family atmosphere perfectly. Huge congratulations again to Claire and Gary!
The Proposal
“We got engaged on St Stephen’s Day 2015 in the garden at home which is one of our favourite places in the world. Claire was working on Christmas Day that year, so the 26th was our official celebration.”
The Venue
“After our first visit to Dromquinna Manor, we knew it was the only choice for us. We were regular visitors to Kerry and it is a home from home. The reputation for service, great food and spectacular setting ultimately settled the decision for us. At Dromquinna Manor, they went to great lengths to provide the best day possible for us and our guests. The biggest wow factor was getting married on the lawn in April (who gets married outdoors in April in Ireland?!). Our guests still remark on it months later. Equally, the food and service experienced by all on the day was widely applauded our friends and family.”
The Photographer
“Sean Clarke Photography was very professional and friendly. We really enjoyed his personal touch and thoroughness in the lead-up to the wedding and on the big day. Sean’s photography style really appealed to us and we were blown away by the results.”
Special Thanks
“The efforts of our friends and family to help make the day perfect for us were incredible, including the cakes made by Gary’s mother and brother-in-law Con. The fabulous flowers by Lydia Bushby from Vintage Cut Flowers were spectacular and her flexibility when the ceremony was moved to the lawn at late notice was incredible.
Claire’s wedding dress was from Amore Bridal in Youghal, who were fantastic and really helpful when choosing her dream dress. The Bridal Party attire was from Ivory Rose Bridal in Passage West, who were very attentive. Gary’s suit was from Fitzgerald’s Menswear and the boys were kitted out from Morley’s, both suppliers were fantastic to deal with.”
