Yesterday, we spoke about the perils of falling into a wedding DIY trap. Yes, taking on DIY for your wedding can take a lot of work, time and maybe money too. So that’s why we’ve searched the internet far and wide to find simple and non time consuming ways to make your wedding a little more personal.
Table settings
We love this simple idea found on Weddbook. Simply take some sturdy craft paper, some chalk, or a white pen and voila! If you have a calligrapher or artsy friend recruit them to help you along! Or test some fun ideas for fonts before hand. Websites like Da Font will have plenty of inspiration for cute styles.
Table Numbers
If you’re a real book worm, this is a gorgeous idea! Visit your local second hand book shop for your books. Many older books that came with a sleeve may not have a hard back cover design… perfect space for you to play around with table place numbers! Again, the same chalk or craft pen will be perfect for your table numbers. Chalk will add to the theme and you won’t feel guilty for destroying a book cover. Why not include some of your favourite books or love stories in the mix? Guests will love the personal touch and it will give them some fun light reading material!
Rubber Stamps
A rubber stamp can be easily purchased in a local craft shop and can be applied to nearly any aspect of your décor. Why not make it more personal by buying an initialed or named stamp from Etsy? Again, these can be used in your invites, thank you cards, table runners, table numbers… anywhere really. The nice aspect of a personalised stamp is that you can use it well after your wedding. And it’s like having your own personal brand or logo!
