Kieran, you are working in one of Cork’s most popular wedding venues. There must be never a dull moment! Have you had a very busy summer?
Absolutely crazy, but it is looking like there really will be no let up until early next year (which will only be for a couple of weeks) so it is pretty constant. We have an amazing team here thankfully, so that makes life a lot easier!
We hate to say it, but we are coming into the autumn and winter months now! What will the chefs at Springfort Hall be cooking up for brides and grooms and their guests for the next few months?
We keep the base dishes the same, but it is the accompaniments that really set them off, we rely on our local suppliers to give us what’s fresh and build our dishes from the bottom up with these ingredients!
There is something very appealing about Springfort Hall; we love the windy driveway, the manicured lawns and the trees around the country house. What do you find couples like most when they visit?
It all depends on the time of year, in the summer, it is the lawns but in a few weeks it will be relaxing in the drawing room by the fire. Soon, the days will be getting a little shorter and our guest will be retreating indoors for a hot toddy!

We see various vintage themes a lot. Springfort Hall lends itself to these perfectly. We had an amazing carnival theme recently. But most of all, people here are keeping it simple, concentrating on making sure that they enjoy their day to the fullest while letting me to worry about the little things! As well, I think our couples like to insure our guests have a good time above all else and this lends itself to many wedding themes and trends.

We are working very hard on getting ready for this, our dance floor has been completely refinished, and you can literally see your face in it! Some new carpets, and a brand new bar counter, again, super shiny!! We have selected only the best wedding suppliers to showcase at our event, so you can literally call in and book the venue, your hen night, a 1 of a kind LED Dance floor and absolutely everything in between!
