Wedding favours, in our humble opinion, are an underrated but an important part of the day. For one, it’s a chance to treat your guests, but it’s also a chance to do something fun. Not to mention that it is a good talking point for the table too. Recently, we have heard about some adorable wedding favour ideas that we just have to share!
Seedbombs
For the couple who want something eco-friendly, seedbooms are a very cool and sweet idea. Every time your guest sees your plant, they will have a fond memory of your day. Seedbombs are often made with paper and wildflower seeds that can be later planted in a pot or garden. Or, you can also get seedbombs that are made from clay, compost and seeds that can either be thrown out into your garden or into a pot. We have fallen in love with these Boltz Sustainability one we found recently on Etsy.
Glass Vial
We have fallen in love with this DIY project found on Vibes & Scribes. This favour is great because it’s DIY that doesn’t involve too much time and skill. A vial filled with seeds, confetti or treats (like sweeties or hot chocolate) is a simple but pretty idea that will also decorate your table nicely. Another lovely idea is to add a tag with a love quote or their place name written on it. If you’re worried about spelling mistakes, consider printing them out instead. Food, Glorious Food
Another simple favour that everyone usually loves is food. Mini jam jars are a fun idea as they can also be easily customized with decorative lids or new labels. Cookies are an amazing treat as they are fun and easy to preserve. We have to give a shout out to Gail from LizzieMay’s who recently sent us these treats. So cute!

Do’s and Don’ts
- Make it easy for you – it’s 3 weeks to the big day and you’re trying to make an elaborate favour for 150+ people? Stop tearing your hair out and put down the glue gun! Wedding favours are supposed to fun for both the couple and the guest. Recruit your bridal party for extra last minute help, or falling that, remember you can always drop a project. No one knows you are doing this, so there won’t be any disappointment on your guest’s part.
- Have a Routine – Pick a day of the week to sit down and do a batch for an evening. Have you been meaning to catch up on Orange is The New Black? This is a perfect time to mindlessly do your DIY while catching up! Or make a social affair out of it and invite your besties around to help.
- Work Fast and Smart, Not Hard – Remember to keep the level of craft to what you are comfortable with. There are so many aspects of DIY you can find online (free printables are everywhere) that there will always be something for you. Some DIY can take a lot of precise work so take your time in the beginning till you have it down. Have a process too. For example, is it easier to the first step of 20 favours or is it easier to do 5 steps in a row?
