Well, I am back home in Cork after the wedding of my first cousin Elaine at the weekend to her longstanding boyfriend Gearoid Leonard. She is now lying on a beach somewhere in Malaysia the lucky duck but after the military-style operation that she pulled off at the weekend she deserves a break!!
I throughly enjoyed being a bridesmaid and being part of Elaine’s big day. Getting the hair and make up done on the morning of the wedding was such a treat and (thankfully!) the dress zipped up too!! Everyone played their part to perfection and even the sun shone for the church and photographs.
The reception was in the Diamond Coast Hotel in Enniscrone and the food and service were fantastic. The menu options were Salmon or Turkey and Ham but the top table had an extra choice of Sea Bass. The staff were so accomodating and really made us feel welcome, with particular thanks to Mary Clarke who preceeded over everything. After experiencing first hand the food and the service of the hotel, I would be happy to personally recommend it. I even got to check out the bridal suite and it is FANTASTIC!
