How to Keep Guests Warm at a Winter Wedding

We’re off to quite a chilly start this year, and it doesn’t look like it will be changing any time soon.

If your nuptials are nearing you might be worried about your friends and family freezing while you’re saying you I do’s. Well, there are plenty of chic ways to warm up your loved ones on the big day. And even better, they’ll appreciate your extra thought for making them cosy and comfortable as they enjoy the festivities.

So, grab a nice warm cup of tea and take a look at these simple ideas that will keep your guests warm at a winter wedding.

The 411

Provide info about the venue if you know guests might get a little chilly. This way they can prepare by wearing something that provides a little more warmth…rather than that oh so lovely but unpractical mini dress.

Wrap them up

If your venue has an outdoor area where guests might gather, provide them with some blankets or throws that blend in nicely with your decor. If you have any little ones attending they’ll appreciate it too!

Warm Them With Wine

Need I say more?! If you’re a fan of mulled wine, its the perfect extra for your friends and family to sip during a cosy drinks reception.

Hors-d’oeuvres

Hot appetizers will warm your guests’ bellies while sip and socialize. Hopefully, they’ll be so busy feeding that they won’t feel the chill in the air.

Coffee and Tea

You may already be planning on serving coffee or tea with your meal, but you can also set up a coffee and Tea station for your guest to help themselves to hot drinks throughout the night. This is also a nice alternative for any guests not interested in warming up with spirits from the bar.

Warm Decor

If your venue allows for it, make use of any fire pits or add heat lamps to outdoor spaces. The crackling fire is sure to add an extra element of romance to the evening festivities.
