Ideas for Guests Who Can't Make it to The Wedding day

A wedding day is often about sharing your day with your guests as much as it is about you as a couple. Your family and friends are the people who are there for your greatest moments with. But, if they can’t be there on your wedding day for whatever reason, there are some creative alternatives too. Here are some ideas for guests who can’t make it to the wedding.

Skype

If you’re having a destination wedding, or your friends are living abroad; a Skype session is just the thing. At the ceremony, set up a live feed for your friends to join (appoint your maid of honour for this). And if you’re really into the Skype idea, consider setting up a table or section for your M.I.A. friends to chat, interact and enjoy the evening!

Speech

For friends and family who are away for whatever reason, it’s a kind thought to mention them during speeches. Raise a glass to those who are not with you and thank them; where ever they might be, they will be delighted to be remembered!

Photographs

A really fun way to consider your friends and family is to set up a pin board with those who aren’t there. Leave notations of where they are or if they have since passed as well as space for others to leave notes. Another nice idea is to have a table with framed photos of your loved ones. Your guests will love it!
