Next Day Parties: What To Bring

Don’t let the party stop just yet!

A day after party is the ideal opportunity to soak up the last bits of your special celebration and enjoy time with friends in family in a more relaxed atmosphere. Whether you plan a brunch to get everyone started for the day or a relaxed BBQ, this is a perfect time to just get together and enjoy each other’s company before resuming normal life.

As you plan your day two gathering, there are a few things we suggest you bring to the party beyond food, booze, and lots of coffee…

Favours

As everyone may be to busy getting down on the dancefloor or chatting with friends and family, it’s no surprise that many favours may be left behind or forgotten at the end of the night. Take those leftover goodies to your next day celebration, you might as well give them out to your guest instead of throwing them away and letting them go to waste.

Leftover Cake & Desserts

Need something sweet for your mini bash? Again, don’t let anything go to waste! Your leftover cake or desserts can make to perfect addition to your day after party, and any guests that didn’t get a taste will be happy for their second chance.

The Guest Book

I’ve been guilty of this one myself… some guests are just way to busy enjoying your wedding celebration that they forget to sign the guestbook! Whoops! Give them another opportunity and have it displayed clearly on the day after.

Lost & Found Items

You don’t want to be stuck mailing all of those lost items to your friends and relatives, or worse not knowing who to send it to and having it take up space at home. They’ll be thanking you when they pick it up the next day.

Hangover Kits

Give them a little something refresh and ease those headaches! Your guests will appreciate the kind gesture. A mini water bottle, mints, face wipes, and some painkillers will have them feeling fresh in no time.

Rentals

If both your reception and day two party are taking place at the same venue, schedule an afternoon pick up and use your rentals again for your brunch or BBQ. Just make sure you communicate with your venue so that nothing gets moved or put away.

Flowers

What are you going to do with all of those flowers? Sure take some home, but you can also use them for an extra flair the next day. Then see if any of your guests would like to take home some beautiful blooms themselves. Afterall, having your aunties take them home is better than having your venue throw them in the bin.

Signage & Decor

Repurpose your wedding day decor the next day. Using a chalkboard? Erase the previous day’s messages and welcome your friends and family to your brunch or BBQ bash instead.
