There’s no better recommendation than an employee celebrating the biggest day of their life at their workplace! If the title of Ireland’s Top Rated Wedding Venue wasn’t enough to persuade you, The Silver Tassie Hotel‘s talented Seascape Spa Therapist Patricia, tied the knot there on November 8th 2014.
Hugh won Patricia’s heart after wowing her on the dance floor at a mutual friend’s wedding. “Like a gentleman, he walked me to the bus and made sure I was okay. He then ran back and asked could he have my number. We met up again the next night at the after party. As he doesn’t drink we went for a spin in the car to leave some people home at the end of the night. We then started to go on our wee date nights to the cinema and we still keep them up when we can today.”
Four years later, a truly romantic proposal took Patricia completely by surprise. After telling a little white lie about a broken watch to throw her off the scent, Patricia of course went to the jewellers with Hugh to get it fixed.
“When the jeweller took the watch away, we had to wait for it. Then the next thing Hugh came out with was – ‘well you may as well pick out a ring now while we are here’. We were whisked away to this wee small room at the back of the shop. Sitting down with Hugh at the table I couldn’t believe it, I just couldn’t stop crying as I was so, so happy!” Huge had also organised a night away in Belfast, allowing the couple to relish in their happy news before sharing it with family and friends.
“The Silver Tassie is the one venue we both wanted for our wedding. We didn’t even look anywhere else as nobody could match what The Silver Tassie could do for us. We loved that it is just one wedding a day, and with it being a family-run hotel we knew they would be friendly and easy to talk to throughout our planning. We had both been to other weddings at this hotel and were so impressed with everything; the layout, the service during the wedding and the food. Everything seemed so perfect at other weddings, so we wanted our wedding to be perfect too. The staff are well-trained and so helpful with everything. The Wedding Planner John and his team were brilliant, nothing had to be asked twice and nothing was too much hassle. The Silver Tassie is renowned for their weddings and I do agree 100 % as they really help to make our wedding so magical one!”
“Our photographer Paul Doherty was so nice and easy to talk to and relaxed. I loved that they sent us a sample layout of the album to ensure we were happy with every picture and the layout before it went to print. The quality was excellent and our parents were very impressed with their albums also.”
