Planning your wedding may seem a little daunting at first and there is nothing more refreshing than receiving expert advice when you begin to make those steps to the rest of your life. We’ve asked Kieran from Springfort Hall to give us his insider advice on planning your special day. Here’s what he had to say…
With over 300 Weddings under my belt at Springfort Hall Country House Hotel alone, I can honestly say that this not only the nicest, but the easiest venues to have your wedding reception!
Choosing Your Menu
First off, when it comes to choosing your menu, it’s always best to have a tasting if possible. We offer our menu tasting to couples as a complementary feature of their package, which we feel really helps in deciding. You will also be able to sample the wines, as well as be advised by myself & our chef on a balanced menu and wine to suit!
Décor
This will all depend on what theme you may have in mind. If you haven’t chosen a wedding theme or colours, consider the season that your wedding will be taking place. This can often help decide what will work best on the day. Room Décor is usually included in most packages (all room décor is included with us), with a variety of centre pieces, chair covers & sashes, all available for you to choose from.
Choosing Your Wedding Band
Most venues will have an extensive list of well respected wedding bands and suppliers that they can personally recommend (I know I do!). This is because we have worked with these people before and know that they can do a great job on your day. Especially when it comes to bands and photographers, as they know the acoustics and best spots for photos.
Children at Weddings
Bringing Children to your wedding? Children can bring great fun and atmosphere to the day. They have so much energy and it really adds something special to the day. But, their candles tend to burn out quickly and they’re often ‘out for the night’ not long after the band begins! We usually recommend having a private room where they can be entertained, and we also provide babysitters for the night of your wedding (so you can dance the night away!).
