A tiny spark made love spread like wildfire.
What a truly gorgeous couple! There were smiles all around on Lisa and Justin’s special day, and the pair looked absolutely ecstatic. The groom is a fireman by trade, so their guard of honor outside the church was perfectly fitting.
Lisa looked utterly romantic in a subtle yet elegant off-the-shoulder wedding dress. Her dream gown was chosen based on a dress that Justin had previously gifted to her as a birthday present. Swoon!
The Proposal
“The proposal took place in Cork on New Year’s Day. I had no idea it was coming and it certainly was a shock. In the build up to the proposal, Justin did a round-trip to Galway to ask for my father’s blessing. We had originally planned a getaway over the New Year, but as always, nothing goes according to plan! We ended up going to a NYE house party, postponing our trip until the following day. Extremely hungover and tired, we drove to Fota Island Resort in Cork. As I nursed my hangover in the hotel bar, Justin sneaked off to finalize the big surprise.”
“With the help of the staff, he decorated our room with lanterns and candles. Flowers were placed in the room and rose petals were scattered. Prosecco on ice and chocolate-covered strawberries were also waiting. With the room set up in record-breaking time, Justin returned to the bar and we finished our drinks. I was none-the-wiser! It was all very romantic and I was stunned at how beautiful the room was. The rest as they say is history.”
The Venue
“Shearwater Hotel was the first wedding venue we viewed. We met with the Wedding Coordinator at the time Karyn. We were so impressed with the setting and layout of the hotel, it was perfect. Karyn won our hearts over with her professionalism, her attention to detail and her creativity in how we could make our wedding unique to us. Also we felt relaxed and excited talking with Karyn, she took the stress out of organising. After leaving the Shearwater Hotel that day, we viewed many hotels in the Galway region. But deciding which hotel to go with was easy for us. We had no reservations in choosing Shearwater Hotel as our venue. It was a clear winner for us!”
“What impressed us the most about Shearwater Hotel was the attention to detail by staff. Noel Fahy, who seamlessly took over from Karyn as our Wedding Coordinator, was outstanding from start to finish. He was always at the end of the phone when panic set in, offering advice and solutions. His approach, his manner, his charisma and his creativity made our wedding day the best day of our lives! Without a doubt the wow factor for guests was the food – hands down! We received so many positive comments regarding the food throughout the night and the next few days after our wedding. Also the decor of the reception area and the warmth and helpfulness of staff.”
The Photographer
“Our favourite thing about working with Marriage Multimedia was the ease and fun they provided throughout the day. Adrian’s energy and passion for his job made us so excited about the wedding photos. Working with marriage multimedia was fun, enjoyable and incredibly easy, taking into consideration that myself and Justin aren’t too fond of being in front of the camera!”
“Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. It was more than we could ever have expect it to be. A special thank you to all of the staff at Shearwater Hotel and to all our wedding suppliers for making our day extra special. We do it all again in a heartbeat!”
