The Red Chapel and The Secret Garden… a wedding venue gem in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East

Celebrating generations, The Headfort Arms Hotel at Kells, in Co. Meath, offers the perfect place for celebrating all of life’s milestones, in particular your wedding day.

Choosing the right venue is one of the most important decisions in planning a wedding. So many couples from around the county of Meath, further afield and across the water have fond memories of wedding days (and nights) at the Headfort over the past 200 years. The Duff Family celebrate over 50 years at the helm of this landmark hotel. They have hosted special days for couples for generations but The Headfort Arms never stops moving with the times when it comes to your wedding.

It’s a great place to stay for your celebration but its outdoor spaces and the stunning ‘Red Chapel’ and the ‘Secret Garden’ make it an exceptional venue.

If celebrating on-site is your wish, there are two fabulous options.

Firstly, the Red Chapel, once known as the ‘Nuns Chapel’ is situated in the convent buildings adjacent to the hotel. It offers a wonderful backdrop for a humanist or other type of civil ceremony in its splendid surroundings. It provides the ultimate ‘instagrammable’ image of your celebration with its beautiful bare stone and brick, wonderful arches and a perfect south-facing courtyard. It is a gem of a venue that surprises everyone who visits.
