If it’s elegance and romance you’re looking for, this real wedding is the perfect inspiration. Edel and Eoghan’s day was filled with the stuff of fairytales, explaining to us that Harvey’s Point was always their number one choice. Edel says “I grew up in Donegal town and always imagined having my wedding there one day. The location is stunning, the food is excellent and the staff really look after you from start to finish of the whole process.”
Edel’s gorgeous dress was created by Irish wedding dress designer Edel Tuite. Edel mentions that she had a few ideas in mind for her dress but after a very short consultation in her shop one afternoon, she had already decided on the perfect design. She really took Edel’s ideas on board, making her own suggestions to create a beautiful wedding dress that she “loved”. We agree – who doesn’t love a mermaid dress?
Harvey’s Point stood out for them because of the stunning and unique location, mentioning the food in particular. “The food was particularly important to us for our wedding day and we knew that we would have nothing to worry about. The fabulous rooms in the hotel were also another plus!”
Night-time fun was a focal point of their wedding with a fantastic Headphone Disco following their DJ. “This was a first for Harvey’s Point and many of our guests. It turned out to be one of the highlights!”
Some of their favorite shots are the outdoor night-time photos. It was this style of landscape photography that helped them choose photographer, Fergal McGrath. “The night shots are very unique and as we were having a winter wedding, we felt that Fergal’s approach couldn’t have been more suited to our special day.”
As for a favorite moment of the day? “The whole day! It was really the best day of our lives!”
