'Should I Hire A Wedding Planner?'

If you are newly engaged and eager to get started on your wedding planning you may be asking yourself this question; ‘Should I hire a wedding planner?’. Although this is a day you have been dreaming of since you were a young child, you don’t really know a whole lot about planning a wedding. A task that can be just as daunting as it is exciting!

Some people will assure you that there is no need to use a wedding planner, while others will tell you they would not attempt to make any plans without one! There is no right or wrong answer, the reality is it really does depend on you and your partner, what ye are trying to create and what works best for you both.

Many wedding couples may be apprehensive about using a wedding planner because of the cost. The fact is that these wedding planners have valuable connections with wedding suppliers which give them access to special offers and discounts, so you could even save some pennies! Your planner is also there to help you stay within your budget (something us women are not always good at…). If you are planning your wedding within a particular time constraint it may also be useful to call in a planner. He/she will know exactly where to direct you for whatever it may be you need, saving you time. They have done this many times before so you can trust them!

In saying all that, wedding planners aren’t for everyone. If you are the type of person that likes to plan every detail possible of her life herself (I can be like this at times!) then you may decide against using one, and that is fine too. Perhaps you just want to be able to say that your celebration is an entire DIY wedding, everything being handmade by you are your volunteers! Just remember not to be afraid to ask for a little help from a friend, sister or whoever it may be. As magical as they are, weddings are one of the most stressful events we will plan in our lives. No one expects you to do it all on your own!
