Spring has sprung and not a minute too soon! The evenings are getting longer and we are definitely having more sunshine. The birds are singing and it won’t be long now until we see lots of daffodils, snowdrops, bluebells, cherry blossoms and tulips. There is something special about spring time weddings. If you are planning yours, lucky you! There are some wonderful benefits to celebrating your wedding during this time of year.
Flowers
Your choices of flowers are endless at Spring time and your centre pieces and bouquets can feature this glorious season with ease. Chat to your florist about what flowers are best for your wedding bouquets and have fun with them!
Birds
Spring weddings are all about nature and using aspects of it to bring your wedding to life. Using birds in elements of our weddings is a trend that we will notice more this year, on stationery, in décor and even on wedding cakes so don’t be afraid to use them! And what better time than Spring time!
Butterflies
Butterflies also add a touch of Spring to weddings– if you want to add a splash of colour use butterflies or if you just want to add an extra little detail . But less is more – don’t use butterflies on everything – subtle touches are best!
Colours
Spring is when everything starts to grow again and we think of colours. When I think of Spring I think of yellow, coral, and neutral tones – lots of light and brightness. Incorporate these in your flowers, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, ribbons, stationery and favours.
Don’t be afraid to use leaves, twigs, moss and greenery to add that extra flare to your Spring wedding.
Photos
Spring brings us longer evenings (and hopefully more sunshine) so this means we have more of an opportunity to take your photos out doors. Avail of it f you can. Your photographer will know what’s best in terms of locations and light.
