Happy Friday everyone! The week leading up to your wedding can be a stressful time for any bride. Guest Blogger and Make up Guru Glamity Jane is giving us her top ten things not to do the week before your wedding!
Get a new haircut or colour
It is pretty obvious really, however people do decide the week of their wedding to go blonder or shorter with their hair. It is worth remembering that you chose your dress, accessories and veil based on a look. You can after the wedding throw caution to the wind.
Have a facial
Depending on your chosen skin type, it is quite common to break out in spots or to have redness or high colouring after a facial. So it is worth making sure you have one two weeks prior to get your glow on but not the week of…. It will be something to look forward to after the Honeymoon.
Starve yourself
Your dress will have been fitted and you will need a lot of energy for the days before and naturally the day of. So by all means cut out the white carbs but the diet of Diet coke and fruit will make your eyes dull and your lead up to the day miserable.
Drink lots of alcohol
This is pretty self-explanatory you don’t want dehydrated skin or a dicky stomach!
Change your skincare regime
The time to change this is the second your other half gets up off one knee. Allergies do strike so stick to what you know!
Do any wacky sport
Jet Sking, Sky Diving quad biking are all best avoided for a few reasons firstly for the break-a leg syndrome and secondly for bruising. Whilst your MUA will be good at concealing blemishes and light bruising, they are not miracle workers so watch out!
Change your beautician
Go somewhere different to have your waxing or tinting done. Again post wedding you can take your business somewhere else but when it comes to pre wedding hair removal it is better the devil you know!
Change the wedding shoes
By now you should have been prancing around the house in your wedding shoes practising dance moves and gliding gracefully. Stick with them, you know them.
Lose your cool
The week before can be stressful but keep calm and try not to snap at anyone. Bridesmaids, your husband to be, mothers, aunts and sisters are all trying to help it is so not worth it to fall out with them for the sake of one day so keep the peace! There’s less chance of red eyes this way…. trust me!
