Can you believe it? After months of researching, planning, budgeting and making difficult decisions the week before the wedding has arrived! At this stage all the big tasks should be complete and you should begin to feel organized, relaxed and super excited.
1 – 2 Weeks Before The Wedding can be a very busy time. Here are a few things to remember:
The Rehearsal:
The wedding rehearsal is an important occasion and it is best to have this a week or more before the wedding, if you can.
The Dress:
Your wedding dress should now be hanging up at home in a safe place. (far away from kiddie’s hands, dogs and cats and strong day light). Shoes, undies, accessories, make up and perfume at the ready. Try on your dress and veil with your bridal underwear and shoes to make sure everything is perfect.
The Honeymoon:
Packing for your honeymoon is another task that you could try and get done well before your wedding. Organise your passports, tickets and sun-cream and keep them somewhere safe.
The Suppliers:
Confirm all your wedding suppliers: dates, times, locations, payments and any other important details they should know.
The Groom and His Boys:
Check that the Groom’s and groomsmen wedding attire are confirmed and fittings have all been done.
The Beauty Regime:
At this time you should be busy pampering! Enjoy your final beauty appointments- manicures, pedicures, waxing and tans!
The Venue:
Final numbers should be given to your caterer or wedding venue and seating plans should be complete! Drop off your seating plan, escort cards, guest book, and favors at the reception venue.
The Wedding Night:
Pack your overnight bag for the wedding night. Make a list and don’t forget:
- Clothes for the next day
- Shoes, tights, socks & underwear
- Jewellery
- Toiletries, hairbrush, straighteners, curlers… whichever you need.
Supplier Payments:
Organise any payments for suppliers that need to be made on the wedding day. Can these be given to the Best man to look after?
The Emergency Kit:
Prepare a wedding day personal care/emergency supplies kit – hairclips, nail scissors, wipes, plasters, deodorant, mints, safety pins etc. Give this to your bridesmaid to look after!
The Day of the Wedding:
Eat breakfast. This is so important as you will need lots of energy during the day and a good breakfast will stand to you.
Relax, have fun and get married…
