Top 10 Ways To Get Your Groom Involved In Your Wedding Planning

Some brides prefer to be left to their own devices when it comes to planning their wedding. I personally think that you should try and get your groom involved in your wedding as much as you possibly can. As we all know, two hands make light work!

Here are our Top 10 ways to get your groom invloved in your wedding planning:

10. Tell Him

Many grooms seem to simply presume that their brides want to take care of pretty much all of the wedding planning and for them just to arrive on the day. Tell him you want him to be involved! He will then feel wanted in the process, or ready to run the opposite direction…

9. Ask Him

Ask him about his expectations. Is there something in particular her would like to be a part of the overall day? Are there any wedding venues he thinks you both would like? You may be surprised with what he comes up with!

8. Compromise

As you have now asked for your groom’s input it’s no longer all about you. You must learn to compromise. You want a pink colour scheme and he wants neutral? Why not go for blush pink with neutral tones throughout!

7. Split Responsibilities

Decide which things each of you will be responsible for taking care of, this will save a lot of time. And yes it is ok for you to call the suppliers while he’s not around to ensure he has everything under control…

6. The Food

If your groom is a foodie this is a great place to hand over some of the decision making. Allow him to source and suggest a menu while you are off enjoying scrumptious cake tasting with your bridesmaids!

5. Seating Plan

One of the least favourite parts of wedding planning. Suggest to your groom that he takes care of the seating plan he may agree before he realises what a pain it can be! If that doesn’t work why not allow your guests to choose where they sit.

4. Wedding Budget

Handing the wedding budget over to your groom may be the difference in you making out the credit cards or not. Us women aren’t always the best at sticking to a set budget…Are they Louboutin wedding shoes I see?!

3. DIY Tasks

Planning a DIY wedding? Well then you will certainly need your groom by your side! Make your groom feels needed, you know how they love a little ego boost! This style wedding is a great way for you both to work together in creating ye’re special day.

2. Groom and Groomsmen Attire

If there is one thing your groom can and should take care of it is him and his groomsmen’s attire. You will be too busy with your dress shopping and fittings to be worrying about their outfits!

1. Keep It Fun

Don’t forget that you should be enjoying your wedding planning. Now that you have your groom involved you have another reason to savour every moment, you want to remember the good times you spent together planning this special day!
